AI Technical Summary
Existing motorcycle protective gear, such as helmets and jackets, fail to adequately protect the lower face and body from impacts, leading to increased injuries and fatalities, and are often uncomfortable and expensive, deterring widespread use.
A motorcycle vest equipped with a matrix of uniformly distributed ceramic beads in a leather fabric, distributing impact forces evenly across multiple points to reduce injury severity.
The vest significantly reduces impact forces by distributing them over numerous small forces, providing effective protection without the bulk and cost of traditional gear, suitable for various climates and conditions.

Abstract
Description
[0001] Biker visor improved by an anti-shock system
[0002] Technical field
[0003] This invention relates to an improvement to the motorcycle vest, to reduce the severity of injuries. This innovative vest is made of beads that allow the force to be distributed evenly during an accident and is adaptable to various climates.
[0004] Background to the invention
[0005] The lack of protection for motorcyclists causes deaths and serious injuries in accidents. In 2017, motorcyclists recorded the greatest increase in mortality, with 669 deaths, 56 more than in 2016. This trend particularly affects 18-24 year-olds, even though their mortality rate had declined over the past three years, and 35-44 year-olds. However, 25-34 year-olds remain the most affected age group, with 161 deaths. Since 2010, motorcyclist mortality has nevertheless declined by 5% (Table).
[0006] In 2017, the roads were less deadly. This is shown by the provisional statistics of road accidents for 2017. Injuries were caused in the majority of cases by motorcycles (24%) (Figure 1).
[0007] The car is more protected than a motorcycle. The motorcyclist suffers serious injuries (fractures, burns, sprains, bruises, etc.) following a fall or accident. Fatal injuries are mostly the result of impacts to the head (54%) and back (38%).
[0008] To address these problems, several solutions have been designed. To protect the head, the most common are full-face helmets and jet helmets, which are modular and simple to approve, but they do not provide any protection for the lower part of the face. In the event of an impact in this area, the jaw is very likely to be fractured due to the lack of a chin guard. Also, there are other solutions such as: o Abrasion-resistant gloves, o Leather jackets with elbow, shoulder and back protection, o Motorcycle pants (leather or Kevlar jeans), o High-top shoes reinforced, particularly at the major ankle.
[0009] Despite all these protections, there is still an increase in the number of deaths and injuries. These protections are no longer comfortable and are also expensive, which is why the majority of motorcyclists do not wear protective equipment.
[0010] The present invention "BIKE VEST" provides a solution to the various problems of making injuries less serious, by offering a more effective and economical solution. Invention US6589891 B1 discloses an abrasion-resistant conformal matrix for use in safety clothing. This highly ventilated anti-abrasion garment is ideal for protection during a motorcycle fall. It uses abrasion-resistant beads in a matrix of high-strength cords. Additional layers improve visibility, while the rotating beads during a slide reinforce protection by avoiding direct skin contact with the road.
[0011] Publication WO2014143832A1 discloses a protective foam material and pads. The material is a rounded foam pellet having a hole in its center. The pellets can be arranged and interconnected to form a pad. These pads can be applied to people, animals, or other objects to provide protective functions.
[0012] Summary
[0013] This invention relates to the field of textiles, transportation, safety and materials. The invention consists of a motorcycle vest adaptable to several climates which consists of a set of beads distributed evenly in a fabric for a protective motorcycle jacket.
[0014] The invention on display is a biker jacket equipped with a material composed of durable leather and ceramic beads distributed in a 2X2 matrix (10 beads per cm 2) in order to distribute the force received by the motorcyclist during the impact into several weak forces.
[0015] Description of the drawings and embodiment of the invention
[0016] The invention is a jacket equipped with an internal system that consists of a set of uniformly distributed balls (Figure 2). This system allows the shock force suffered by the motorcyclist during an accident to be absorbed equally so that the motorcyclist receives the least damage.
[0017] The fabric used is a rigid leather (Figure 2.1) and the beads are made of ceramic (Figure 2.2). The choice of a ceramic material over metals or plastics was essential to ensure that it is suitable for extreme conditions of use: temperature, pressure, corrosion, and even more so if these conditions are simultaneous or prolonged over time. Therefore, this innovative motorcycle vest can even be used in the snow or in the desert for different users and for competitive races.
[0018] Typical properties of a ceramic material have the following advantages: • High resistance to wear, heat, pressure and chemical attacks (gases and liquids),
[0019] • High hardness, relatively light material.
[0020] We took advantage of all these properties to use ceramic beads in our jacket.
[0021] According to Newton's third law, during a fall the force applied by the ceramic balls on the ground ( F B / s ) is equal to the force applied by the ground on the balls ( F B / s ) :
[0022] FB / S = FS / B
[0023] This law is also called the principle of action and reaction: the force F B / s is the action that acts first, after the reaction of the ground on the biker's jacket acts second, it is the force FS / B . It is this force that the motorcyclist receives through his jacket that causes the damage (source of danger). With the help of this invention, the acting force is distributed into several weak forces f i B / s (F B / s = Σ f i B / s ) and the reaction (F B / s is found distributed over several balls and (FB / s= Σ f i B / s each ball receives the force f i S / Bwhich are weak compared to the total force FS / B. With the help of BIKE VEST the motorcyclist receives several small forces instead of a single large force. The smaller the size of the balls, the more the contact surface during the impact contains several balls (10 to 15 per cm 2 ). This will reduce the force by a factor of 20 to 30, it is the same role of airbag, except the latter reduces the impact force by increasing the impact time. In the case of this invention, the impact force is reduced by increasing the number of balls per unit area (See Figure 3, a and Figure 3, b).
