Description

[0001] DESCRIPTION

[0002] "THREE-DIMENSIONAL NON -POLYHEDRAL PRODUCT OF COVERAGE AND ASSOCIATED USES"

[0003] TECHNICAL DOMAIN

[0004] The subj ect matter of this request is included in lightweight three-dimensional multi-application roofs . In particular, the subj ect matter of the present application relates to lightweight three-dimensional covers for the protection of household obj ects or for covering external light sources .

[0005] PREVIOUS TECHNIQUE

[0006] There are currently several solutions to cover clothes racks to dry, allowing clothes to dry faster and easier, protecting them from dirt and rain .

[0007] For example , the Japanese patent JP7162822B2 published on 31- 10-2022 , by applicant Yuko Suzuki , discloses a cover that covers the outer periphery of clothing regardless of the type and si ze of clothing and whose unnecessary part can be easily adj usted in si ze / length on site , and to provide a clothing cover whose production cost is low and can provide improved economic ef ficiency . The cover has a cylindrical or polygonal shape and covers the outer periphery of the garment and a laundry aerator like a bag . The vertical length ( depth of the bag shape ) of the garment cover can be changed freely . However, this device does not solve the problem of being easy to adapt to any type of drying rack and also being adaptable to cover other obj ects subj ect to dirt or weather .

[0008] In another example , the US patent US 11767991B1 , by MARSHALL CALLEEN K [US] ; GORMAN JOSEPH P [US] , published on 26-09-2023 discloses a coverage of outdoor air conditioning equipment to protect window air conditioning units. The device slides around and over the top of a window-mounted air conditioner forming a slanted canopy from the outer distal edge of the air conditioner's outer enclosure and the window or building structure above the unit. This roof has an approximate angle of thirty degrees (30°) . However, again, this device is not versatile and lightweight enough to be able to be adapted for other applications.

[0009] PROBLEMS OF THE PREVIOUS TECHNIQUE

[0010] Certain objects, when placed or installed outside buildings, deteriorate quickly and are subject to corrosion, being exposed to dirt, among others. For example, an outdoor air conditioning unit, installed on the exterior wall of a building, is subject to being soiled with dust, bird droppings, insects, fumes and grease, and is also subject to corrosion of its metal materials, due to exposure to rain and humidity.

[0011] Another example is a clothes rack placed on a terrace or on an outdoor balcony. Clothes that are being hung out to dry are also subject to dust from the outside, bird faeces, insects, fumes and grease. In addition, on rainy days, the clothes get wet and therefore do not dry.

[0012] Another problem of the previous technique that the present application proposes to solve is the lighting of messages or images using existing outdoor luminaires for the purpose of lighting the public road.

[0013] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention concerns a three-dimensional non- polyhedral multi-application product , which has two positions of use , one open position and one closed position . The material of which the product is the subj ect of this application is made of a polymeric material , light , armed with flexible rods , which define the edges of the product of the invention giving it a three-dimensional , non-polyhedral shape .

[0014] In addition, the product subj ect to this application has one or more openings on at least one of the edges . This opening serves to open the three-dimensional non-polyhedral product in order to enclose the obj ect to be covered, for example , an outdoor air conditioning unit or a clothes rack . This opening is then closed to keep the product that is the subj ect of this application closed and enclosing the obj ect to be protected so that it is fixed in place .

[0015] This opening closes by means of a first internal j oining element , which can be , for example, Velcro . In addition, the three-dimensional non-polyhedral product of the present application also has , fixed in a suitable area of the faces of the non-polyhedron solid, a second external j oining element , which serves to attach the product to a part of the obj ect that it is going to protect , as will be described in greater detail below .

[0016] In a first aspect , the present application concerns a three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product comprising a polymeric screen and stems , a first internal j oining element and, in certain embodiments , comprising a second external j oining element .

[0017] In other respects , the present application concerns uses of the product in accordance with the first aspect . SOLUTION OF THE PROBLEM

[0018] The need for multipurpose solutions, of quality and efficiency, in various applications led to the development of this multi-application solution. The product subject to this application applies to three distinct areas: domestic use, information and / or advertising, protection of outdoor air conditioning units, offering effective and functional solutions in each field. In addition to the characteristics mentioned above, the composition of the materials used in the manufacture of this product gives it wind resistance, impermeability and protection against ultraviolet (UV) rays.

[0019] The present invention solves the problems of the previous technique with a single three-dimensional non- polyhedral cover product, made of lightweight, flexible materials. In particular, the faces of the non-polyhedral product are made of a thin, flexible polymeric material, and the edges of said product are defined by stems made of fibre, also flexible. The stems, or structuring rods, are fixed to the material of the faces by suitable means of fixation, e.g. sewing and / or bonding to through-hole hems.

[0020] ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS OF INVENTION

[0021] The three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product that is the subject of this order is easy to transport, to install, and is also easy to disassemble and store when not in use. It is a product that allows various uses in which it does not need electrical supply, it is not subject to corrosion due to the materials it is made of, it is extremely light and resistant. In certain uses, it can be used by children aged 2 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge provided they are supervised .

[0022] It is a product suitable for use in multiple applications , and, in case of breakdown, it can be repaired by seamstresses . The material of the product faces can also be stamped with any information or image .

[0023] More speci fically, the following advantages can be listed : materials capable of guaranteeing and providing durability and wind resistance up to 50 km / h ( Force 6 ) ;

[0043] The three-dimensional non-polyhedral covering product that is the subj ect of this application has a solid, hollow shape , which may resemble a cube or a parallelepiped, although its faces are not flat and has rounded "vertices" , due to the flexible material that makes up the rods that define the edges of the three-dimensional product , or solid, obj ect of this application . The term "non-polyhedral" is used throughout the text of this application to define the shape with curved and flat faces , or only curved faces , of the product .

[0044] These rods are properly fixed to the polymeric screen, by means of fastening elements . These fastening elements can be , for example , one or more of : sewing, glue , welding, clips , clamps and any combination of these . Preferably, the fastening elements from the stems to the faces are seams.

[0045] The three-dimensional non-polyhedral product of the present invention assumes two positions in service and can also assume a third position to store in a bag. The two positions in service are an open position, which serves to place the product on the object to be covered and protected, and a closed position, in which a first internal connecting element acts. This first internal joining element can be selected from the group consisting of: velcro, zipper, snap buttons, snaps, conventional buttons, adhesive tape, magnets and any combination of these, preferably the first internal joining element is velcro.

[0046] In certain embodiments of the three-dimensional non- polyhedral product of this application, a second external joining element is provided, which serves to attach the three-dimensional non-polyhedral product when in service, to the object or to a structure close to the object it is protecting or covering. The second external joining element can be selected from the group consisting of: dyneema strips, in which dyneema is a Dyneema® Composite Fabric (DCF) , also known as Cuben Fibre (CTF3) , is a high-performance non-woven composite material used in high-strength, low-weight applications and is constructed from a thin sheet of ultra- high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE, "Dyneema") laminated between two sheets of polyester) , natural fibre tapes, synthetic fibre tapes, Velcro tapes, laces and any combination of these. A first embodiment represented on the left side of figure 1 has a shape that may resemble a cube of rounded faces and edges, and a second embodiment represented in the centre and on the right side of figure 1 resembles a parallelepiped of rounded faces and edges, in which this is a longer version of the first embodiment. As shown in Figure 1, the second embodiment of the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) according to this application may have an opening (4) on one of its shorter sides or on one of the longer sides, according to the user's preference. In embodiments not illustrated in the figures, the three-dimensional non- polyhedral cover product (1) according to this application, either in the first embodiment or in the second embodiment, may have more than one opening (4) , for example, it may have openings (4) on opposite sides of the three-dimensional non- polyhedral cover product (1) . In both the first and second embodiments represented in figure 1, the faces (2) constituted by the polymeric screen mentioned above and structured by stems that define the edges (3) of the three- dimensional product or non-polyhedral solid of the invention are represented. In Figure 1, both embodiments are represented in a rear perspective view, and show only one of the open faces where the opening (4) is oriented downwards. Also oriented downwards is the ventilation inlet (10) which serves for the purpose of ventilation of the interior of the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) .

[0056] Figure 2 illustrates a frontal view in perspective of the two embodiments of the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) represented in figure 1. The description of the views represented in figure 2 is similar to that already elaborated for figure 1, with the difference that in this figure the first and second preferred embodiments of the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) are in its closed position and with the ventilation inlet (10) facing downwards, showing that the three-dimensional non- polyhedral cover product (1) according to the invention can be used in any of these positions, or others, depending on their use or the user's convenience. In figure 2, the three- dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) is in a closed position. In this position, the first internal joining element (not pictured) is holding the faces together, i.e. the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) closed .

[0057] Figure 3 illustrates a front-view view of the two preferred embodiments of the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) illustrated in figure 2, with the ventilation inlet (10) facing upwards and with the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) in the open position, where the second embodiment illustrated in figure 3 has the opening (4) on one of the shorter sides. In the embodiments illustrated in figure 3, the first internal joining element (30) is represented, which in this case is realized by a Velcro tape affixed to the edge of the opening face and to the edge of the face receiving the opening face. In addition, in certain embodiments of the three-dimensional non- polyhedral cover product (1) of the invention, a second external joining element (20) is provided which in figure 3 is illustrated by two dyneema strips at each point of application, where these strips are adjustable in order to firmly fix the non-polyhedral three-dimensional cover product (1) on the object, or in a structure close to the object, to be protected. A pair of second external joining element (20) , e.g. a pair of Dyneema strips, can also be used to cooperate in the opening (4) and closing zone of the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) , as shown in Figure 3.

[0058] Figure 4 illustrates a front view (A) , a side view (B) , a rear view (C) and a top view (D) of the first preferred embodiment of the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) , according to this application. In the front view (A) you can see the ventilation inlet (10) to ventilate the interior of the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) , in the side view (B) a face (2) is identified and in the rear view (C) an edge (3) is identified, already described above. The top view (D) shows a polygon similar to a square, to illustrate the aforementioned approximation of the first embodiment of the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) to a cube.

[0059] Figure 5 illustrates a front view (A) , a side view (B) , a rear view (C) and a top view (D) of the second preferred embodiment of the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) , according to this application. In everything similar to what is described above for figure 4, and therefore it is not repeated here, this second embodiment is suitable for uses to protect longer objects, such as a horizontal clothes rack, as will be described in relation to figure 7.

[0060] Figure 6 illustrates several views of a use of the first embodiment of the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) , used as a clothes drying rack cover (40) , in which the first embodiment of the three-dimensional non- polyhedral cover product (1) is covering only one of the sides or a part of the clothes drying rack (40) , as illustrated in Figure 6. Thanks to the first internal joining element (30) (not shown) , the three-dimensional non- polyhedral cover product (1) is closed, for example by means of Velcro, on the structure of the clothes drying rack (40) in a fixed way, allowing the laundry to continue to dry without getting wet and dirty, where the ventilation inlet (10) serves to ventilate the interior of the three- dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) .

[0061] Figure 7 illustrates several views of the same use illustrated in figure 6 of the second preferential embodiment of the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) , in which the second embodiment is longer and can cover the entire clothesline, as illustrated in Figure 7. When using, the ventilation inlet (10) can be turned downwards. In order to improve ventilation, there may be more than one ventilation inlet (10) (not illustrated) , e.g. on different faces (2) of the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product ( 1 ) .

[0062] Figure 8 illustrates several views of another use of two embodiments the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) on an outdoor light source (50) . In this use, the second external joining element (20) , by means of Dyneema strips, the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) to the outdoor light source (50) . As Figure 8 illustrates, both the first preferred embodiment and the second preferred embodiment can be applied to a street luminaire, with one luminaire or with two, and the three- dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) can be applied to one of the luminaires or both.

[0063] Figure 9 illustrates several views of yet another use of the first preferential embodiment of the three-dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) , in various closed and open positions, covering an outdoor air conditioning unit (60) . In this use, the second external joining element (20) , e.g. pairs of dyneema strips, can cooperate in fixing the three- dimensional non-polyhedral cover product (1) by enclosing the outdoor air conditioning unit (60) , fixing it firmly, resisting wind and weather, and protecting the equipment from rain, moisture and dirt, allowing you to extend the life of the air conditioning equipment, in particular your outdoor air conditioning unit (60) .
