[0001] This application claims benefit under 35 U.S.C. § 119 to provisional patent application number 63 / 198,686.

[0002] This application claims benefit to the earlier filing date and right of priority under 35 U.S.C. § 120 to patent application number 17 / 595,985, the contents of which are herein incorporated by reference under 37 CFR 1.57(b).TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0003] This invention relates generally to an object retrieval and delivery system in the form of a delivery apparatus for the purpose of enabling any individual to easily transport goods and groceries. An object retrieval and delivery system disclosed for the purpose of efficient delivery of goods and groceries to urban, suburban, and rural dwellings and businesses by delivery vehicles in the form of a modern milk truck (MMT). The purpose of the object retrieval and delivery system in the form of an MMT is to enable persons to load goods and groceries into the MMT and deliver the goods and groceries to the dwelling and businesses with physical and mental ease.BACKGROUND

[0004] The delivery van has changed very little from the original devised millennia ago. Typically, goods and groceries are loaded individually or in containers into and out of the van. Atthe loading and delivery site, often two people are required to lift and carry heavy goods or containers to and from the delivery vehicle. Lifting these heavy containers full of goods and groceries can cause injuries. Many people who can drive the van to the loading and delivery sites are excluded from delivery jobs, because they are unable to lift and carry the goods while loading and unloading.BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0105] Referring to the Figures, Figure 1 shows an object retrieval and delivery system in the form of a modem milk truck (MMT) 100. The object retrieval and delivery system in the form of a modem milk truck (MMT) 100 is configured to store and transport porch bots 110 and mother bots 120. The side of the an object retrieval and delivery system in the form of a modern milk truck (MMT) 100 is open to show the way in which the porch bots 110 and mother bots 120 are arranged inside. The delivery vehicle and / or transport vehicle 150 is a truck where the operator drives and controls the object retrieval and delivery system in the form of a modern milk truck(MMT) 100. Figure 1 also shows the area that the heavy equipment required for a rescueoperation 200 can be stored.

[0106] Figure 2 shows the inside of the delivery vehicle and / or transport vehicle 150. The MMT control system 190, the navigation and GPS system 210, and the order for delivery system 240 can be found inside the delivery vehicle and / or transport vehicle 150. The inside of the passenger compartment of the vehicle is the vehicle’s command and control center. The vehicle’s command and control center is wirelessly connected to a main control point for a grocery store, region, or warehouse that can control and manage many vehicles equipped according to the invention.

[0107] Figure 3 shows five porch bots 110 on a mother bot 120. Each porch bot 110 has a storage shell of a porch bot 250. In the storage shell of a porch bot 250, there are shelved interiors of a porch bot 260, porch bot shelves 370, brace rails of a storage shell of a porch bot 270, handle frames of a storage shell of a porch bot 280, arms of a handle frame of a storage shell of a porch bot 320, and door of a storage shell of a porch bot 330. The mother bot 120 has a movement assistance motor, lever, and / or control 230, a landing 310, a pad of a mother bot 290, and an adjustable height lift of a mother bot 300. The adjustable height lift of a mother bot 300 is a scissor lift 340 with scissor lift legs 350 on scissor lift rolling wheels 360.

[0108] Figure 4 shows an empty delivery vehicle and / or transport vehicle 150 to show the floor 180, railed fork bots 130, railed crane bots 140, overhead girders 160 and lift arms 170. The railed fork bots 130, railed crane bots 140, overhead girders 160, finger, prong, clip, and / or hook 380, and lift arms 170 move the porch bots 110 and / or mother bots 120 in and out the vehicle for stocking with items to be delivered and for deliveries.

[0109] Element 170 refers to the telescopic extensions that actuate on the 3D axis and relates to element 380, which is the end of the arm operating tool.

[0110] Element 230 is a control panel. The additional circles initially represented channel locks to keep porch hots 110 from rolling off the mother hot 120. The actual motion controls for a mother hot 120 will be done by an ergonomic handle that has somewhat of a tilt-based control.

[0111] Elements 300, 340, 350, and 360 refer to the leg actuations of mother bots 120. The mother bot legs 350 can take the form of several different design concepts. In the embodiment of the mother bot legs 350 as shown in Figure 3, the mother bot legs 350 are scissor lifts. The mother bot legs 350 could also be any other mechanical or pneumatic lifting device capable of lifting a mother bot 120 loaded with stocked porch bots 110.

[0112] Element 380 is not just a finger, prong, clipper, hook, or clamp; it can be generalized and labeled as an End of Arm Operating Tool (EAOT). The reason for this designation is that its capabilities and design have not been finalized. The actual scope and potential that the EOAT has to branch into directions like electromagnets and / or vacuum based suction to retain bots in transit, as well as other methods not listed here, is why it needs to be generalized to an EOAT.

[0113] Although the original concept of tool storage and access is pull-out drawers, side entry would better be served by a design that mirrors step vans but incorporates the similar concept of overall storage by tucking tools in the interior steps. Element 200 is dispersed throughout the truck. The truck has roll up storage compartments, and the rear work area has its own unique utility in providing a short-range transport platform. Further, the rear workstation area has storage drawers incorporated which also double as steps to provide entry into the vehicle.

[0114] In a preferred embodiment according to the invention, there is a van loading apparatus for loading and unloading one or more containers comprising: at least one overhead girder 160 housed within a van in a first configuration, and when in a second configuration cantileveredfrom a side of said van, and at least one lift arm 170 held substantially vertically from said overhead girder(s) 160 to lift and carry said containers from / to a floor of said van to / from ground beside said van.

[0118] The porch bot 110 in its design does not have excessive profile indentations and / or patterns on the front and back of the porch bot 110. The profiled screen or glass partition that sits on the door of the porch bot 110 was removed to better reflect the porch bot’s 110 advertising capabilities on the door panels themselves and through a mounted touch screen on the front of the porch bot 110.

[0119] In an alternative embodiment of the invention, there is a van wherein said overhead girders 160 are arrayed parallel to each other and perpendicular to the front and the back direction of the van. The overhead girders 160 are configured to span or cover the floor of the back of the vehicle to maximize reach and coverage such that the porch bots 110 and / or motherbots 120 can be placed anywhere on the floor and the railed fork bots 130, railed crane bots 140, overhead girders 160, and lift arms 170 can connect to the porch bots 110 and / or mother bots 120.

In an alternative embodiment of the invention, there is a van further comprising girder attachments to attach said overhead girder(s) 160 to opposite side walls of said van rising from said floor.

[0124] In an alternative embodiment of the invention, there is a van wherein at least one of said girder attachments attaches moveably to said ceiling wall to move at least one of said overhead girders 160 from fully inside said van in said first configuration to partially outside said van insaid second configuration.

[0125] In an alternative embodiment of the invention, there is a van wherein at least one of said girder attachments is disposed on said girder(s) intermediate movable portions of said girder and configured to cantilever from a side of the van in said second configuration.

[0126] In an alternative embodiment of the invention, there is a van further comprising a first door installable in a side wall of the van for said lift arms 170 to lift and carry said containers through in said second configuration.

[0127] In an alternative embodiment of the invention, there is a van wherein said first door is sized and openable when installed in said side wall to permit passage through said first door of part of said overhead girder when moving from said first configuration to said second configuration.
