Abstract
Description
Oil-in-water emulsion cosmetics
[0001] The present invention relates to an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic.
[0002] Oil-in-water emulsion cosmetics have excellent usability, such as a high level of moisturizing and a fresh feel, and are therefore widely used in cleansing cosmetics, massage cosmetics, etc. Cleansing cosmetics and massage cosmetics contain warming ingredients such as capsicum extract and vanillyl alkyl ether for the purpose of improving the cleansing effect and blood circulation promoting effect.
[0003] Various studies have been conducted on cosmetics containing such warming ingredients with the aim of enhancing the warming sensation and improving the immediate and lasting effects, etc. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a warming cosmetic that combines a capsicum extract that has an immediate warming effect, a vanillyl alkyl ether that has a lasting warming effect, and a plant extract of the Rosaceae family that complements the two. Also, Patent Document 2 discloses a warming composition that aims to enhance the warming effect by using a warming ingredient in combination with a silicone-containing composition.
[0004] However, when multiple warming ingredients are used in combination as in Patent Document 1, there is a difference in the timing at which the individual warming ingredients exert their warming sensations, making it difficult to control the overall warming intensity within an appropriate range. Furthermore, the warming composition disclosed in Patent Document 2 is not sufficient in terms of immediate effect and duration of warming sensation.

[0006] An object of the present invention is to provide an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic that has an immediate warming effect and is excellent in long-lasting effect.
[0007] As a result of extensive research to solve the above problems, the inventors have discovered that by combining a warming component with an oily film-forming agent, a specific non-polar oil, and a lower alcohol, a moderate warming effect can be obtained quickly after application to the skin, and the effect can be maintained for a long period of time, thereby completing the present invention.

Furthermore, when the cosmetic is used in lip cosmetics such as lipstick, lip balm, lip gloss, and lip liner, in addition to the warming effect, the cosmetic can also have the effect of making vertical lip wrinkles less noticeable.
[0040] [Production Method] The method for producing the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of the present invention is not particularly limited and can be produced by known methods. For example, the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of the present invention can be obtained by preparing an oil phase containing component (A) and component (B) and an aqueous phase containing component (D) and water using a known mixing method, and then mixing the oil phase and aqueous phase until uniform using a known emulsification method. Component (C) may be added to either the aqueous phase or the oil phase, but is preferably added to the aqueous phase from the viewpoint of the immediacy and duration of the warming effect. By adding the warming component of component (C) to the aqueous phase in this way, the warming component remains dissolved mainly in the external aqueous phase even after emulsification, and a film is formed. This allows the warming component to act quickly and locally upon application to the skin, which is presumably resulting in a greater immediacy and duration of the warming effect. When the proportion of polar oil as an oil agent is high, the immediacy and duration of the warming sensation tend to be lower, which is thought to be because some of the warming components that are compatible with polar oil migrate into the oil phase, reducing the amount of warming components contained in the external aqueous phase. An example of a suitable production method is to prepare an oil phase by dissolving component (A), component (B), and other oily components while heating to 70 to 80°C, and then prepare an aqueous phase by mixing component (C), component (D), water, and other aqueous components, and then mixing and emulsifying the oil phase and the aqueous phase at 50 to 60°C until uniform, and then cooling, thereby obtaining an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic in which component (C) can be contained in the external aqueous phase.
[0041] The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to examples, but the present invention is not limited to these. In these examples, "%" means "% by mass" unless otherwise specified.
