Description

[0001] IMPROVEMENT IN TELESCOPIC CHASSIS APPLIED IN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT KNIFE ROLLER

[0002] FIELD OF INVENTION

[0003]

[0001] The invention describes an improvement in a telescopic chassis applied to a knife roller agricultural implement. More specifically, it comprises a telescopic chassis equipped with side arms with a double stabilizing tie rod.

[0004] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0005]

[0002] Agricultural implement chassis are characterized by being robust structures and, to optimize time and costs, have a central structure and side arms that allow for the expansion of the worked area. The side arms are articulated in relation to the central chassis to allow the transport of the equipment when it must be moved on roads.

[0006]

[0003] Document BR10201 2029114 describes a chassis articulation assembly of an agricultural machine or implement of at least one lateral chassis segment in relation to a central chassis segment, comprising at least one horizontal axis articulation element, according to which the lateral segment articulates in relation to the central segment, and comprising at least one hydraulic actuator capable of performing the articulation movement for opening or closing the lateral segment.

[0007]

[0004] Document US2008053351 describes a hydraulic control system configured to move the planter tool bar between a first height corresponding to a planting position, a second height corresponding to a field transport position, and a third height corresponding to a road transport position. A first set of hydraulic cylinders is mounted to the tool bar to move the frame between the first height, the second height, and the third height. A second set of hydraulic cylinders is mounted to the tool bar to move the frame between the first height and the second height. The first and second sets of cylinders are arranged in a master / slave relationship relative to each other and are operable independently of each other.

[0008]

[0005] The prior art describes implements with a common (non-telescopic) chassis that have side arms that move in the horizontal plane. In this construction form, more than one stabilizer rod can be applied to each side arm, given that there is no spatial change in the central chassis and / or side arms.

[0009]

[0006] In the case of telescopic chassis, in which there is a spatial change in construction elements due to telescoping, a single stabilizer rod is conventionally applied to the side arms. This construction condition, however, affects the integrity of the side arm, which may suffer damage due to the stresses suffered during operation.

[0010]

[0007] Thus, the Applicant developed an improvement in the telescopic chassis applied to an agricultural implement knife roller equipped with a pair of stabilizing tie rods for each side arm, with a fixed tie rod and a telescopic tie rod arranged to ensure the distribution of the drag forces of the side arms, operating in association with the telescopic central chassis.

[0011] SUMMARY

[0012]

[0008] The invention describes an improvement in a telescopic chassis applied to an agricultural implement with a knife roller equipped with a telescopic bar that allows the length to be changed, providing a reduction in its length when the chassis is in the working position, improving maneuverability.

[0013]

[0009] The invention describes an improvement in a telescopic chassis applied to a knife roller agricultural implement equipped with a pair of stabilizing rods on each side arm, providing greater integrity to the implement, drastically reducing the risk of damage during work due to the distribution of efforts.

[0014]

[0010] The invention describes an improvement in a telescopic chassis applied to a knife roller agricultural implement that allows for an increase in the number of tools on each side arm, favoring operation, both from an economic point of view and in reducing the transit of implements on the ground.

[0019] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0020]

[0015] The improvement in the agricultural implement chassis, object of the present invention, comprises a telescopic central chassis (10) supported by a wheel (11), a right side arm (20a) associated with the central chassis (10) by an articulated segment (10a) and a left side arm (20b) associated with the central chassis (10) by an articulated segment (10b).

[0021]

[0016] The side arms (20a) and (20b) describe a movement in the horizontal plane between a working position, when they are kept transverse to the movement of the implement, and a transport position when they are kept longitudinal to the movement of the implement.

[0022]

[0017] A knife roller assembly (30) is coupled to the telescopic central chassis (10) and knife roller assemblies (30) can be coupled to the side arms (20a) and (20b) according to the needs of the area to be worked, given the fact that the side arms (20a) and (20b) are modular. The coupling of the knife roller assembly (30) to the central chassis (10) and to the side arms (20a) and (20b) is carried out as described in document BR102024003273, from the same owner. In this situation, the structure of the knife rollers (30) coupled to the chassis (10) or to the side arms (20a) and (20b) does not generate a moment force in such structures (10), (20a) or (20b), as well as it does not generate a moment force in the structure of the articulated segments (10a) and (10b), supporting only the drag force, allowing the roller to have a greater range of articulation without collisions occurring between its components.

[0023]

[0018] The telescopic central chassis (10) has a telescopic drawbar (101) for coupling to the agricultural machine by means of hydraulic coupling, and a front extension (102), in opposition to the telescopic drawbar (101), where the knife roller assembly (30) is coupled.

[0019] The right side arm (20a) and the left side arm (20b) have an identical construction configuration, so that the numerical designations will be the same in both construction elements.

[0024]

[0020] In the right (20a) and left (20b) side arms, a main beam (201) is provided with an axle (not shown) for coupling a stabilizing wheel (203) positioned on the outer side of each side arm (20a) and (20b). The wheel (203) assists in stability and in copying the relief.

[0025]

[0021] At least one knife roller assembly (30) is coupled to the main beam (201). As shown in figures 3A and 3B, the knife roller assemblies can be coupled in varying quantities to each side arm (20a) and (20b), given the modularity of the assembly.

[0026]

[0022] A second beam (201 a) is associated with the main beam (201) by fixed arms (204), said second beam (201 a) being higher than the main beam (201) and having at the ends the arrangement of arms with a lower fitting (205).

[0027]

[0023] A connector (C1) is provided on the telescopic drawbar (101) to which the end of a hydraulic actuator (A1) is fixed, the opposite end of which is fixed to the articulated segment (10a) and (10b).

[0028]

[0024] At the extreme portion of the telescopic drawbar (101) there is provided a pair of opposing tabs (C2) to which a fixed tie rod (40a) and a telescopic tie rod (40b) are fixed. The telescopic tie rod (40b) is arranged externally to the fixed length tie rod (40a), said tie rods (40a) and (40b) whose opposite end is fixed to the beam (201) of the lateral arms (20a) and (20b). The fixing of the fixed tie rods (40a) and telescopic tie rods (40b) to the connection (C2) and to the beam (201) occurs by means of a ball joint (R), ensuring movement at both ends, which allows the lateral arms (20a) and (20b) to articulate without causing damage to their components.

[0029]

[0025] The fixed tie rod (40a) and the telescopic tie rod (40b) ensure the distribution of the drag efforts of the side arms (20a) and (20b), working in association with the telescopic central chassis (10).

[0026] In the transport position, as the actuator (A1) of the side arms (20a) and (20b) retracts, the fixed length tie rods (40a) cause the telescopic bar (101) to increase its length at the same time as the telescopic tie rods (40b) retract. Thus, the side arms (20a) and (20b) are moved in the horizontal plane by drag, assisted by the wheelset (203), until they are positioned parallel to the drawbar (101). The towing of the implement occurs assisted by the wheelset (11) of the central chassis (10).When the side arms (20a) and (20b) approach the drawbar (101), the arms with lower fitting (205) arranged on the second beam (201a) surround the main beam (201), being kept locked by the lower fitting provided on the arm (205), in order to keep the side arm (20a) and (20b) at the same height as the central chassis (10). By activating the tractor's hydraulics, the front part of the implement is suspended, removing the wheelset (203) from contact with the ground, allowing transportation. Figure 2A shows the fitting of the arm (205) on the main beam (201).

[0027] To place the implement in the working position, the tractor's hydraulic drive is activated so that the front portion of the implement is lowered, which releases the arms with lower fitting (205) from the main beam (201).As the actuator (A1) of the side arms (20a) and (20b) extends, the fixed length tie rods (40a) cause the telescopic bar (101) to reduce its length at the same time as the telescopic tie rods (40b) extend.
