Abstract
Description
[0001] Social network with advertising and entertainment competitions, the use of artificial intelligence and original dynamic tokenization
[0002] The invention relates to the marketing section, the subsection of targeted advertising on the Internet, with elements of entertainment, psychology of social groups and direct profit-making by users and owners.
[0003] Every company needs to advertise its products. Inevitably, the company turns to the possibilities of online advertising. In 2023, companies worldwide spent more than $600 billion on online advertising.
[0004] Many companies place ads on websites with a lot of visits. However, firstly, such ads are intrusive. People often do not even look at them and try to block them. On average, the CTR (the percentage of clicks on ads to the number of impressions) is about 3 percent for search contextual advertising and about 0.5 percent for network advertising. That is, people are very rarely interested in advertising in principle.
[0005] Secondly, the Internet resources themselves often inflate visits to their sites and clicks on ads. They pay money to special Internet services (buxes), which pay very small amounts of money to people for viewing sites and ads. This idea in slightly different variations is described in patent RU2623904C1 (Device for advertising in a social network), application RU2007148818A (Method for attracting an audience to view advertising information and a system for implementing it), application KR20160001036A (Method of reward advertisement based on social networks), and application US2011145046A1 (Reward system for distribution of advertisements).
[0006] Viewing ads is a job for such people. They are not interested in the ads themselves and usually do not even watch them, they just click on the picture or let the video play. Also, such people themselves have financial problems, and most often cannot afford the advertised products. Thus, their views are not valuable for advertisers, but only mislead them about the number of views of the ad.
[0007] And autosurfing - a fully automated process of surfing sites - occurs without human participation at all. The bot simply inflates the number of site visits, and the advertiser mistakenly believes that people visited the site and saw its ad.
[0008] All this greatly reduces the effectiveness of advertising placement on websites on the Internet.
[0009] With the help of customer reviews and comments, companies aim to increase trust in their products.
[0010] Patent KR101952880B1 (Method for reply comment solution) focuses on awarding points to the participant for writing comments. These points can be converted into money. Many services, blogs, etc. use a similar business approach and pay money for writing reviews of their products. However, this also becomes work for the people commenting. And the reviews themselves are only indirect advertising. Thus, the effectiveness of the approach is not high.
[0011] Some companies and sometimes even individuals on their own websites give away prizes for the best comment. This is not a system, but rather a random practice. There is no such social network. Users do not use artificial intelligence. In addition, in such cases, companies first ask to buy a product or receive a service. And for bloggers, giving out a prize is not mandatory. As a result, the effect of this approach is extremely insignificant.
[0012] However, the draws themselves, in particular the draws for cash prizes, are effective. This is evidenced by the popularity of lotteries. The probability of winning the lottery is catastrophically small. So in Mega Millions the chance of hitting the jackpot is about 1 in 302.6 million. Despite this, people continue to buy lottery tickets. This is influenced by the psychological effect - people know for sure that someone will win, and everyone hopes that it will be him. In addition, the lottery does not require any effort.
[0013] And this is also a very important factor. In the modern world, people spend a lot of mental, moral and physical energy on work, study and other responsibilities. In such conditions, anything that involves additional expenditure of energy becomes a burden. People are looking for entertainment and novelty. They spend a lot of time on various social networks, watch streams, even pay money for a subscription to Netflix - all to have fun. And the @commentawards account, which publishes funny comments from the Internet, has 539 thousand subscribers.
[0014] Comments and reviews are a realistic attitude of a person to a topic or subject. This is how they differ from compliments, which promote a positive connotation, often even embellished to the point of fantasy. Thus, compliments have a creative focus and become creative advertising. When a company offers an award for the best review, it somehow chooses the best compliment from all the reviews, because it puts its product in the best light.
[0015] Patent AU2019101128A4 (A social networking system to promote altruism) proposes a social network for exchanging compliments, in which the recipient of compliments can rate them. There are also similar social networks for exchanging compliments on the Internet. However, none of them take into account the fact that giving a compliment, as well as writing a comment, is not easy. This is a rather boring process that is not entertainment. Also, such networks do not provide an opportunity to earn money.
[0016] The social network Reddit, which has existed for 20 years, introduced a new Contributor program on September 25, 2023. In it, Reddit users buy rewards for money (up to $ 50). These rewards can be given for posts or comments to other users, who can then convert them back into money. However, the payment is made at the discretion of the person. Because of this, Reddit users do not feel the psychological effect of the lottery. Therefore, with this approach, a specific user cannot directly promote their post, product, etc. As Reddit itself writes on the program page, this still remains earnings and is not entertaining. As a result, TikTok's position as the most dynamically developing social network is currently unshakable. The closest in essence to this invention is TikTok. The social network, which quickly captured the market, lured young users, creating a serious strategic problem for YouTube and others. At the moment, these social networks still have a large audience. However, the youth who are currently focused on TikTok will continue to use it unless an alternative is offered.
[0017] TikTok is a fun and profitable place. Companies pay influencers — people with large followings and views — to promote their products. On TikTok Shop, about 50 percent of people make purchases while using the app. But while brands can advertise directly, their audiences are small and they have to pay influencers to promote themselves.
[0018] TikTok itself pays between $0.02 and $0.04 per 1,000 views to influencers with at least 10,000 followers. That means influencers with millions of views get between $20 and $40 per video. That's a very small amount, so most of the money goes to influencers from advertisers.
[0019] However, the number of influencers who make big money on TikTok is small compared to the total number of users. In the US, there are only 130 thousand influencers with 5 thousand subscribers. Moreover, there are 150 million active monthly TikTok users in the US. This means that there are only about 0.09 percent of TikTok influencers! Meanwhile, according to well-known data, at least 1 percent of the population can easily create content.
[0020] People who get a percentage of sales on TikTok Shop rarely make much money either. And those who watch videos there often spend more than they would like and don't earn any money themselves.
[0021] With 34 million new videos uploaded to TikTok every day, TikTok must constantly look for growth opportunities or else the cost of maintaining servers to store videos will exceed its profits.
[0022] The required technical result is a new approach to the structure and elements of a social network with the combination of new capabilities of artificial intelligence, advertising competitions for advertising and original author's dynamic tokenization.
[0023] The required technical result is achieved by organizing a social network on the Internet, in which individual users create short video compliments with the possibility of using artificial intelligence and place them in mandatory paid competitions for proposed advertisements with the elective-probability receipt of a part of the advertising monetary reward for the best compliment, selected by the advertiser with the possible use of artificial intelligence, and with the dynamic tokenization of the other part of the monetary advertising reward, in which new tokens are created for one part of the profit, issued as additional prizes, and the second part of the profit is equally divided between all tokens.
[0024] Figure 1. The scheme of the organization of the social network is presented, in which the advertiser allocates money for advertising. Users make video compliments on this advertising. The best compliment is awarded a prize. Part of the money in the form of dynamic tokenization is distributed between new tokens and all tokens. In the proposed social network, advertisers can place short advertising videos with a pre-specified reward. The main part of the reward is a cash payment and is displayed for advertising. Any user can see its amount.
[0025] The advertiser specifies the time during which the competition for this advertisement is held. During this time, any user of the social network can watch the advertisement. In case of viewing, the user has the opportunity to leave a short video compliment to the advertisement. The compliment can be created directly on the platform using AI. The advertiser himself cannot leave compliments to his advertisement.
[0026] At the end of the competition, the advertiser must select, with the possible use of AI, the best compliment, the author of which is paid the specified portion of the reward.
[0027] The second part of the reward is accumulated in the cost of tokens. Moreover, some part of this second reward is used to create new tokens. They are given out partially-randomly to people of a specific competition with high-quality video compliments, but who did not win the main prize. It is assumed that the number of compliments posted by a person on the platform increases the likelihood that their video compliment will win a token in the next competition. The remainder of the second part of the reward is added to the total cost of all tokens. Thus, dynamic tokenization allows for continuous growth of a single token in price. And if a person cashes out a token, then all other tokens do not fall in value.
[0028] The proposed social network differs from T1kTok in that each commercial is a chance to win money by giving a compliment. This is the most important factor in attracting users to the social network. Moreover, a video compliment can be produced on the platform using AI. This will allow the user to practically not spend their own production resources, focusing exclusively on viewing and analyzing advertising and the creative thought process. Of course, the best video compliment will win, but some users with high-quality videos and ideas embedded in them will also receive a reward in the form of tokens. Which is fair.
[0029] Dynamic tokenization will also attract new users and creators. And the constant growth of the token value will effectively retain them on the platform. Since the number of compliments from one user increases the chances of receiving a token, users will be even more involved in the process. Such tokenization will also help ensure that people who did not win the main prize will not feel deprived and will continue to give compliments.
[0030] The platform assumes that every user can easily be an influencer. Any person, product, company can put more money into the contest and get more views and compliments. This does not depend on the already existing popularity of the person or company.
[0031] In the proposed social network, after the end of a specific competition, you can delete compliments that are not winners. This will significantly reduce the costs of maintaining servers.
[0032] This social network is not a single contest to get a review, but a system of advertising and entertainment contests in a social network. The proposed version of the contest with a reward is also not a lottery. Contest participants do not buy tickets. The advertiser chooses the best complimentary advertisement for their advertisement. And in dynamic tokenization, the chances of users to get a token vary depending on the quality and quantity of their videos. However, knowing about the obligatory reward for one of the participants has a strong psychological effect. The excitement and belief in their victory, because of which people participate in lotteries, are preserved in the proposed social network in full. Moreover, each new contest is a new opportunity to win. And those people who won and received tokens continue to receive profits from new contests, even if they do not participate in them.
[0033] There will also be another effect. People will not just watch the ads. They will analyze them carefully in an attempt to write the best compliment and win. In addition, the very fact that a person gives a compliment sets him or her up positively towards the advertised product or service. People will convince themselves of the usefulness of the products.
[0034] Due to these social and psychological effects, advertising will be very effective.
[0035] Each draw has an element of show, which will further increase attendance. Constantly changing the topic for creating compliments helps to satisfy a person's need for novelty. The ability to use AI simplifies the process of creating compliments as much as possible, turning work into entertainment. The social network is positive. It increases the creative potential of the general population, the self-esteem of people who will win prizes, and people who will receive compliments.
[0036] By the number of compliments made, the advertiser can accurately determine how many people have watched the advertisement attentively. This number grows with the increase of the prize for participation in the competition. Thus, the proposed social network is an effective way to promote people, products and companies.
[0037] For example, let's say 50 percent of the money from a particular ad goes to the grand prize, 20 percent goes to creating new tokens, 20 percent goes to increasing the value of the tokens, and 2 percent of all participants in a particular contest are awarded tokens.
[0038] Let's say Mr. NN decides to advertise on the platform. He bets $100 on a contest where 20 people will each make one video compliment using AI. $50 goes to the grand prize, $20 goes to new tokens, and another $20 goes to increasing the value of all tokens. After the contest is over, 1 person will receive the grand prize of $50, and 1 person (20*0.02= 0.4, rounded up to an integer = 1) gets 1 token worth $20. Since another $20 goes to increasing the value of tokens, and there is only one token holder, he gets another $20. Now 1 person holds 1 token worth $40.
[0039] At the same time, TikTok also decides to put its ads on the platform. Their contest ends a week after Mr. NN's contest and has a $200,000 reward. $100,000 goes to the grand prize, $40,000 to create new tokens, and another $40,000 to increase the value of all tokens. Let's say 200,000 people participate in the contest. Then, after the contest ends, 1 person gets $100,000. Another 4,000 people (200,000 * 0.02 = 4,000) get new tokens worth $40,000 in total. That is, everyone gets tokens worth 40,000 / 4,000 = $10. Since 1 token is currently worth $40, each person gets 0.25 tokens. So 1 + 4000 = 4001 people hold 1 * 1.0 + 4000 * 0.25 = 1001 tokens for a total of 40 + 40000 = 40040 dollars.
[0040] Now the token value increases: 40040 + 40000 = 80040 dollars. That is, for 1 token it is approximately: 80040 / 1001 = 79.96 dollars. Thus, 1 person holds 1 token for approximately 79.96 dollars, and 4000 people each hold 0.25 tokens for approximately 19.99 dollars.
[0041] Let's say some token holder decides to cash out. For example, he has 0.25 tokens worth $19.99. He cashes them out. Now 4,000 people hold 1,000.75 tokens worth about $80,020.01. The value of one token is still $80,020.01 / 1,000.75 = $79.96. So the value of the token does not go down when someone sells their tokens.
[0042] Thus, tokens quickly grow in price, and even when the number of tokens becomes large, the growth continues.
[0043] The proposed social network will allow changing the approach in the advertising business, using many psychological effects, implementing new capabilities of artificial intelligence and additionally financially motivating users through the original author's dynamic tokenization.
