[0026] Preferred embodiments of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0027] First Embodiment Here, an example will be described in which the present invention is applied to a system (distribution system) that provides the following services as services for distributing image content (distribution services).

[0028] FIG. 1 is a conceptual diagram of a distribution service.

[0029] This service is targeted at users (second users U2) who own printers, and allows them to print images (still images) posted by a specific user (first user U1) for a limited time. This service is used, for example, as a service that allows fans of artists, celebrities, athletes, etc. to print images posted by their own printers. In particular, it is ideal for use as a service that allows fans of idols to print images posted by their own printers.

[0030] The service flow is as follows:

[0031] STEP 1: Posting A first user U1 (e.g., an idol) takes an image and uploads the image data to the distribution server 10. For example, the first user U1 takes an image using a first user terminal device 100 (e.g., a smartphone) equipped with a camera function (photography function), and uploads the image to the distribution server 10.

[0032] STEP 2: Notification When image data is uploaded by the first user U1, a second user U2 (e.g., a fan) who follows the first user U1 is notified of the image posting by the first user U1. For example, a second user terminal device 200 (e.g., a smartphone) used by the second user U2 is notified of the image posting by the first user U1 (so-called push notification).

[0033] The posted image is made public on the network and is made public for a limited time, for example, 10 minutes. The image is also made public in an obscured state, for example, with part or all of the original image blurred.

[0034] STEP 3: Printing Printing of an image is only possible during the image's public release period. In other words, the image's public release period is the image data distribution period and the printable period. A second user U2 who wishes to print can complete a purchase procedure (payment procedure) during the public release period to print the image. The purchase procedure is performed, for example, via the second user terminal device 200 used by the second user U2. Furthermore, printing is performed via a printer 300 connected to the second user terminal device 200.

[0035] In this way, this service allows a second user U2 (e.g., a fan) to print images posted by a first user U1 (e.g., an idol) for a limited period of time.

[0036] [Distribution System] FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of a distribution system.

[0037] The distribution system 1 is mainly composed of a distribution server 10, a first user terminal device 100, a second user terminal device 200, a printer 300, and the like.

[0079] The operation unit 304 includes a power button and various other operation buttons required for operating the printer 300 .

[0080] [Functions of First User Terminal Device] FIG. 7 is a block diagram showing the main functions of the first user terminal device.

[0081] As described above, the first user terminal device 100 is a terminal device used by a user (first user U1) who posts images. Regarding image posting, the first user terminal device 100 has functions such as an image data acquisition unit 100a, a distribution setting information acquisition unit 100b, and an upload processing unit 100c. The functions of each unit are realized by the processor 101 executing a predetermined program (a poster application program).

[0082] The image data acquisition unit 100a performs a process of acquiring image data to be posted. The image data to be posted is acquired, for example, using the camera unit 107 provided in the first user terminal device 100. That is, the image data to be posted is acquired by taking a picture with the camera unit 107. Alternatively, the image data to be posted may be acquired by importing it from an external device. Therefore, for example, image data taken with another imaging device can be imported and used as image data to be posted.

[0083] Images can be posted with comments attached. Images can also be posted by specifying the date and time for distribution. The distribution setting information acquisition unit 100b performs a process to acquire various setting information (distribution setting information) when distributing the image to be posted. The distribution setting information includes information on comments to be attached to the image, information on the date and time for distribution, information on points required for printing, etc. The distribution setting information acquisition unit 100b displays a predetermined input screen on the display unit 104, accepts input of necessary information from the poster of the image (first user U1), and acquires the distribution setting information.

[0084] The upload processing unit 100c performs a process of uploading image data to be posted and distribution setting information to the distribution server 10. In response to an instruction to execute upload from a user, the upload processing unit 100c uploads the image data to be posted and distribution setting information to the distribution server 10. The upload processing unit 100c displays a predetermined operation screen on the display unit 104 and accepts an instruction to execute upload from the user. The upload processing unit 100c uploads the image data to be posted and distribution setting information to the distribution server 10, associating them with the user's identification information (ID).

[0085] A user's identification information is set when the user opens an account. A user who posts an image opens their own account and begins using the service. An account is created by entering the necessary information on a specified account creation screen. Note that this type of procedure is publicly known, so a detailed explanation will be omitted. An account is created by entering identification information such as an ID (Identification), as well as a password, account name, self-introduction, profile picture, birthday, hometown, group name, assigned color, debut date, website URL (Uniform Resource Locator), and SNS URL. For example, the user's email address is used as the ID. For example, the user's name (including stage name, etc.) is used as the account name. Information about the created account is uploaded to the distribution server 10 and stored in a specified database (customer management database).

[0086] 8 to 11 are diagrams showing examples of operation screens when posting an image.

[0087] FIG. 8 shows an example of an initial screen when posting an image.

[0088] A user who wants to post an image taps button IB11 displayed on the screen to start the process of posting. When button IB11 is tapped, the screen transitions to the screen shown in FIG.

[0089] FIG. 9 shows an example of a selection screen for selecting a method for obtaining image data of an image to be posted.

[0090] FIG. 9 shows an example in which three methods are available for acquiring image data. The first method is to acquire the image by taking a photograph with the first user terminal device 100 (smartphone). The second method is to acquire the image from an external camera (including a camera with a printer, etc.). The third method is to acquire the image data from captured image data (image data stored in the first user terminal device 100). To acquire the image using the first method, tap button IB21. To acquire the image using the second method, tap button IB22. To acquire the image data using the third method, tap button IB23.

[0091] When the first method is selected, the camera unit 107 of the first user terminal device 100 is activated, making it possible to take an image.

[0092] If the second method is selected, connection settings with an external camera are made, and image data to be posted is acquired from the connected camera.

[0093] If the third method is selected, a list of captured image data (image data stored in the first user terminal device 100) is displayed, allowing an image to be selected.

[0094] When the image data to be posted is acquired, the screen transitions to the screen shown in FIG.

[0095] FIG. 10 shows an example of a screen for inputting distribution setting information.

[0096] FIG. 10 shows an example of inputting color information, comments, distribution date and time, and distribution point information as distribution setting information.

[0097] Here, "color information" refers to information that expresses the user's (poster's) feelings when posting an image using color. In the example shown in FIG. 10, the color is selected from six predetermined colors (white, red, orange, yellow, blue-green, and purple). The default is white. Therefore, if no color is selected, white is automatically selected as the color information.

[0098] A "comment" is a comment (message) that is added to an image that is posted.

[0099] "Distribution date and time" is information about the date and time when an image is distributed. The example shown in FIG. 10 shows a case where the poster can select whether to distribute the image immediately after uploading or to specify a date and time for distribution. If "Distribute immediately" is selected, the image is distributed immediately after uploading is complete. If "Specify date and time" is selected, distribution begins at the specified date and time.

[0100] "Distribution points" refer to points required for printing. In this embodiment, the cost of printing is paid using points. A user (second user U2) who uses this service to print images purchases points in advance and uses them to use the service (print images). Points may be given to users who print (purchase) images as various benefits.

[0101] As shown in FIG. 10, the screen includes a display field IC11 for the image to be distributed, an input field IC12 for color information, an input field IC13 for comments, an input field IC14 for distribution date and time, an input field IC15 for distribution points, and the like.

[0102] A predetermined frame F1 is displayed in the image display field IC11, and the image to be posted (the image represented by the image data to be posted) is displayed within the frame F1. The frame F1 is configured with an image that resembles the frame of an instant film. Therefore, the image displayed in the display field IC11 resembles a print result (the output result of instant film).

[0103] In this example, image editing is also possible. Tapping the "Edit Image" button 31 displayed on the screen transitions to an image editing screen, where image editing (processing) becomes possible. Although a detailed description of image editing will be omitted, in addition to general retouching functions (adjusting brightness, saturation, sharpness, cropping, etc.), the device also has a drawing (also called painting) function. Therefore, by editing an image, handwritten text such as a signature or a message can be added to the image.

[0104] The color information input field IC12 displays a list of selectable colors. Figure 10 shows an example of a case where circles filled with selectable colors are displayed in a horizontal row. The poster selects a color by tapping the circle of the desired color.

[0105] A predetermined frame is displayed in the comment input field IC13. The poster uses the character input function provided in the first user terminal device 100 to input a comment into the frame.

[0106] The input field IC14 for delivery date and time displays two options: immediate delivery ("Deliver Immediately") and delivery at a specified date and time ("Specify Date and Time"). The poster taps one of the options to set the delivery date and time. If "Specify Date and Time" is selected, the poster enters the delivery date and time. The poster may enter the delivery date and time, for example, using a character input function provided on the first user terminal device 100. Alternatively, a calendar and clock may be displayed to allow the user to select and enter the date and time.

[0107] As described above, in the distribution service of this embodiment, the distribution period (period during which printing can be performed) is limited. As an example, the distribution period is 10 minutes from the start of distribution. If distribution is set by specifying a distribution date and time, the distribution period is 10 minutes from the specified date and time. If distribution is set to occur immediately after posting, the distribution process is performed immediately after the posting operation. In this case, the distribution period is 10 minutes from the start of distribution.

[0108] A box for inputting distribution points is displayed in the input field IC15 for distribution points. The poster enters the points required for printing in the box. The poster uses the character input function provided in the first user terminal device 100 to enter the number of points in the box. Alternatively, a pull-down menu of selectable numbers may be displayed for selection.

[0109] The input screen for distribution setting information also displays a button IB32 for confirming the input contents. The confirmation button IB32 is displayed, for example, at the end of the screen (the final position when scrolling). The confirmation button IB32 is enabled when input into all input fields is complete. Therefore, if there are input fields that are not filled in, tapping the confirmation button will not produce any response. Furthermore, the color of the confirmation button IB32 changes when input into all input fields is complete. For example, it changes from gray to black. This allows the user to visually confirm that input into all input fields is complete.

[0110] When input into all input fields is completed and the confirmation button IB32 is tapped, the screen transitions to a confirmation screen for the posted content.

[0111] FIG. 11 shows an example of a confirmation screen for the posted content.

[0112] As shown in FIG. 11, the post content confirmation screen displays the image to be posted and the information entered as distribution setting information (color information, comments, distribution date and time, distribution point information, etc.).

[0113] 11, a posting button IB41 is also displayed on the confirmation screen for the posted content. The posting button IB41 is displayed, for example, at the end of the screen.

[0114] If there are no errors in the image to be posted and the distribution setting information, the poster taps the post button IB41. Tapping the post button IB41 instructs the execution of uploading. As a result, the image data to be posted and the distribution setting information are uploaded to the distribution server 10.

[0115] If there is an error in the entered distribution setting information, the poster returns to the distribution setting information input screen and corrects the relevant part.

[0116] [Functions of Second User Terminal Device] FIG. 12 is a block diagram of the main functions of the second user terminal device.

[0117] As described above, the second user terminal device 200 is a terminal device used by a user (second user U2) who prints images. The user who prints images uses the second user terminal device 200 to check image data (printable image data) currently being distributed, perform purchase operations for printing, and print purchased images. With regard to these processes, the second user terminal device 200 has functions such as an information provision processing unit 200a, a purchase processing unit 200b, and a print processing unit 200c. The functions of each unit are realized by the processor 201 executing a predetermined program (a purchaser application program).

[0118] The information provision processing unit 200a performs processing to provide the user with information about image data being distributed in cooperation with the distribution server 10. The information provision processing unit 200a acquires information about the image data being distributed from the distribution server 10 and provides the user with information about the image data being distributed (printable image data). For example, the information about the image data being distributed is displayed on the display unit 204 to provide the user with the information.

[0119] FIG. 13 is a diagram showing an example of a screen displaying information about image data currently being distributed.

[0120] As shown in FIG. 13, the screen displaying information on image data being distributed includes a display field FC01 for information on image data being distributed, and a display field FC02 for information on users being followed.

[0121] The display field FC01 for information on image data being distributed includes a display area FC011 for a sample image and a display area FC012 for comments.

[0122] The sample image display area FC011 displays a sample image SI of the image data being distributed. The sample image SI to be displayed is an image with reduced visibility. In other words, an image that does not clearly show the image to be printed is used for the sample image SI.

[0123] FIG. 14 shows a comparison between the image to be printed and the sample image.

[0124] In Fig. 14, (A) shows the image (original image) OI to be printed, and (B) shows an example of its sample image SI. Fig. 14 shows an example in which an image that is entirely blurred is used as the sample image SI. By blurring the entire image, the clarity of the image is reduced, and the visibility of the image OI to be printed is reduced. In other words, the image OI to be printed is configured not to be clearly visible.

[0125] In the example shown in FIG. 14, the image is blurred as a whole to reduce visibility, but the image may be blurred partially to reduce visibility.

[0126] In the example shown in FIG. 14, the clarity (visibility) of the image is reduced by blurring, but the visibility may be reduced by mosaic processing or the like.

[0127] Other methods for reducing the visibility of an image to be printed (methods for generating a sample image) include superimposing text, figures, symbols, etc. on the image to make parts of the image less visible, applying effects such as light rays, and changing the color tone of the image. These methods can also be combined to reduce the visibility of an image to be printed. When changing the color tone of an image, it is preferable to use the color information selected when posting. For example, if red is selected as the color information when posting, the image is processed to have a red color tone to generate a sample image. The method of superimposing text, etc. on an image to reduce visibility is one form of masking.

[0128] The sample image SI is displayed within a frame F2. The frame F2 is configured with an image shaped to resemble the frame of an instant film. That is, the sample image SI is displayed in a format that resembles the format it will have when printed. In this embodiment, since the image is printed on instant film, the sample image SI is displayed in a format that resembles the format it will have when printed on instant film.

[0129] Furthermore, information on the remaining time for printing is displayed on the sample image SI. In this embodiment, a circular gauge T11 (a so-called circular gauge timer) is displayed approximately in the center of the sample image SI, and the remaining time T12 is counted down and displayed within the gauge T11. Figure 13 shows an example in which the remaining time is 7 minutes and 30 seconds.

[0130] Sample images SI are displayed on a per-contributor basis. If the same contributor has distributed multiple pieces of image data, information on all of the image data distributed by that contributor is displayed. In other words, sample images SI for all image data currently being distributed are displayed in the sample image display area FC011.

[0131] The sample images SI are displayed one by one, and the displayed image is switched by performing a predetermined scrolling operation. As an example, in this embodiment, the displayed image is switched by a horizontal slicing operation. Note that, when the same poster distributes multiple image data, as shown in FIG. 13 , portions of other sample images are displayed next to the currently displayed sample image SI. Therefore, the presence or absence of other image data being distributed can be confirmed by checking whether portions of other sample images are displayed next to the currently displayed sample image SI.

[0132] Furthermore, when the same poster distributes multiple image data, sample images of each image data are displayed in a predetermined order (display order). For example, they are displayed in order of the shortest remaining time. In addition, they can be displayed in order of oldest posted, newest posted, most distributed (most printed), etc. The display order may be configured so that the user can set and change it as desired. In the initial display, a sample image of the image data with the highest ranking is displayed.

[0133] A comment display area FC012 is provided below the sample image display area FC011. The comment display area FC012 displays comments attached to the image data of the sample image SI being displayed in the sample image display area FC011. Therefore, when the sample image SI to be displayed is switched, the displayed comments are also switched.

[0134] At least a portion of the background of the display field FC01 for information on image data currently being distributed is displayed in a predetermined color. Figure 13 shows an example in which the upper right and lower left corners of the display field FC01 for information on image data currently being distributed are displayed in a predetermined color. The displayed color is the color set (selected) for the image data by the poster when posting the image data of the currently displayed sample image SI. Therefore, when the sample image SI to be displayed is switched, the color also changes according to the setting.

[0135] The display field FC02 for information on followed users displays information on users (followees) who are being followed by the user (second user U2) who is printing the image. As an example, in this embodiment, a list of profile images and account names (full names) of the followed users is displayed. The account names are displayed below the profile images.

[0136] The profile image displayed in the display field FC02 for information about the following user functions as a selection button. That is, when a profile image displayed in the display field FC02 for information about the following user is tapped, information about image data being distributed by the user (poster) of the tapped profile image is displayed in the display field FC01 for information about the image data being distributed.

[0137] The information provision processing unit 200a provides a function for searching for contributors in cooperation with the distribution server 10. Contributor searches are performed on a predetermined search screen.

[0138] The information provision processing unit 200a also receives notifications sent from the distribution server 10 and performs a process of reporting the notifications. The notifications sent from the distribution server 10 include notifications of posts by followed users. Here, a "followed user" refers to a user who is registered to receive notifications about posts when the user posts an image.

[0139] The follow request procedure is performed, for example, on the self-introduction screen of the person to be followed, the display screen of the image data distributed by the person to be followed, etc. For example, the follow request procedure is performed by tapping a predetermined button ("Follow" button) displayed on these screens.

[0140] Information on users (followees) followed by the user (second user U2) who prints the image is associated with information on the account of the user who prints the image and stored in a predetermined database (customer management database). Information on users (followers) who follow the user who posts the image is associated with information on the account of the user who posts the image and stored in a predetermined database (customer management database).

[0141] Similar to a user who posts an image (first user U1), a user who prints (purchases) an image (second user U2) also opens their own account and begins using the service. An account for a user who prints an image is created by entering the necessary information on a predetermined account creation screen. This type of procedure is well known, so a detailed explanation will be omitted. An account for a user who prints an image is created by entering, for example, an ID (identification information), a password, an account name, etc. The ID may be, for example, the user's email address. The account name may be, for example, the user's name. Various information, such as points held by each user and purchase history information (print history information), is recorded in association with each user's account information.

[0142] FIG. 15 is a diagram showing an example of a screen display of the second user terminal device when a notification about a post is received.

[0143] 15, when a notification about a post is received, a message PN is displayed on the screen. For example, the message PN is displayed as a pop-up on the screen. The message PN includes information about the user who posted the image and information about the fact that the user posted the image.

[0144] The purchase processing unit 200b performs the processing required to purchase image data in cooperation with the distribution server 10. By purchasing the image data, the image data can be printed.

[0145] The purchase of image data is performed on a predetermined purchase screen. The purchase processing unit 200b cooperates with the distribution server 10 to display a predetermined purchase screen on the display unit 204, and receives inputs from the user who wants to print the image data, which are necessary for purchasing the image data.

[0146] FIG. 16 is a diagram showing an example of the purchase screen.

[0147] For example, tapping a message PN (see FIG. 15) displayed on the screen by push notification will take you to a purchase screen. Alternatively, selecting one of the image data items presented as currently distributed image data will take you to a purchase screen.

[0148] As shown in Figure 16, the purchase screen includes a distribution period display field FC11, a sample image display field FC12, a reaction button display field FC13, a comment display field FC14, a required points display field FC15, and a print button FB11.

[0149] The distribution period display field FC11 displays information about the period set as the distribution period.

[0150] A sample image SI of the image to be printed is displayed in the sample image display field FC12. An image with reduced visibility is used as the sample image SI (see FIG. 14).

[0151] A frame F2 of a predetermined shape is displayed in the sample image display field FC12, and the sample image SI is displayed within the frame F2. The frame F2 is configured with an image that resembles the frame of an instant film.

[0152] Furthermore, information on the remaining time for printing is displayed on the sample image SI. In this embodiment, a circular gauge T11 (a so-called circular gauge timer) is displayed approximately in the center of the sample image SI, and the remaining time T12 is counted down and displayed within the gauge T11. Figure 16 shows an example in which the remaining time is 7 minutes and 30 seconds.

[0153] On the purchase screen, at least a portion of the background is displayed in a predetermined color. Figure 16 shows an example in which a portion of the background (the upper right corner and lower left corner in Figure 16) of the distribution period display field FC11 and the sample image display field FC12 is displayed in a predetermined color. The displayed color is the color selected by the poster when posting the image. For example, if the poster selected "red" as the color information when posting, the background color will be red.

[0154] The reaction button display field FC13 displays the number of reactions made by users who printed the image being distributed. As will be described later, users who printed an image are required to give a predetermined reaction to the printed image after printing is complete. Reactions are made by tapping (selecting) a button (reaction button) that expresses their feelings about the printed image. Therefore, the reaction button display field FC13 displays the number of taps (selections) of the reaction button along with the number of times it has been tapped.

[0155] The comment display field FC14 displays comments attached to the image being distributed (comments entered by the poster when posting).

[0156] The required points display field FC15 displays information about the points (distribution points) required for printing. Fig. 16 shows an example in which 500 points are required for printing.

[0157] The print button FB11 is a button for issuing an instruction to print the image currently displayed as the sample image SI. By tapping the print button FB11, the image is printed.

[0158] Note that printing is subject to a fee. Therefore, an instruction to print is also an instruction to purchase the image data being distributed. When an instruction to print is given, a purchase process (payment process) is carried out. If the purchaser does not have enough points, printing is not possible (purchase is not possible). In this case, a specified error message is displayed.

[0159] A configuration may be adopted in which a confirmation screen is displayed to confirm the intention to purchase again before making a payment. That is, after the print button FB11 is tapped, a configuration may be adopted in which a confirmation screen is displayed to accept a print execution instruction (final execution instruction) again. It is preferable that the confirmation screen be configured to display a cancel instruction button in addition to a button to instruct execution of printing (a button to instruct final execution of printing), so that the print execution instruction can be canceled.

[0160] Once payment is complete, the print process is executed. The print processing unit 200c cooperates with the distribution server 10 and the printer 300 to execute the print process of the purchased image. That is, the print processing unit 200c downloads and acquires image data for printing from the distribution server 10, and causes the printer 300 to print the acquired image data. Note that the printer 300 is assumed to be connected to the second user terminal device 200 in advance. If the printer 300 is not connected, the print process is executed afterwards. In this case, for example, the downloaded image data for printing is stored in a predetermined storage area (for example, the auxiliary storage unit 203).

[0161] FIG. 17 is a diagram showing an example of a display screen during printing.

[0162] When the distribution request is approved, the image data for printing is downloaded from distribution server 10, and printing is started by printer 300, the screen shown in Fig. 17 (printing screen) is displayed on display unit 204. More specifically, when a signal indicating execution (start) of printing is received from printer 300, the printing screen is displayed on display unit 204.

[0163] On the screen during printing, a message PM1 indicating that printing is in progress is displayed. Also, an animation LA1 (so-called loading animation) indicating that printing is in progress is displayed. In the example shown in Fig. 17, an animation is displayed in which circles (dots) arranged at regular intervals on the same circumference rotate along the circumference.

[0164] In addition, at least a portion of the background on the screen during printing is displayed in a predetermined color. Figure 17 shows an example in which the upper right corner and the lower left corner of the screen are displayed in a predetermined color. The displayed color is the color selected by the poster of the image being distributed when posting the image.

[0165] FIG. 18 is a diagram showing an example of a display screen after printing is completed.

[0166] When printing is completed by the printer 300, the screen shown in Fig. 18 (print completion screen) is displayed. When printing is completed, the printer 300 outputs that information (print completion notice) to the second user terminal device 200. When the second user terminal device 200 receives the print completion notice from the printer 300, it displays the print completion screen on the display unit 204.

[0167] As shown in Figure 18, the print completion screen includes a message PM2 indicating that printing is complete, a display field FC21 for information about the distribution period (distribution date and time), a display field FC22 for the printed image, a display field FC23 for reaction buttons, a display field FC24 for information about the poster, a display field FC25 for comments, and an album button FB21.

[0168] In the distribution period information display field FC21, information on the distribution period (distribution date and time) for the printed image is displayed.

[0169] A predetermined frame F3 is displayed in the display field FC22 for the printed image, and the printed image is displayed within this frame F3. The frame F3 is configured with an image that resembles the frame of an instant film.

[0170] Selectable reaction buttons are displayed in the reaction button display field FC23. The reaction buttons are buttons that allow the purchaser to express their feelings in response to the printed image. Each button is composed of a simple symbolic representation of a feeling.

[0171] In the poster information display field FC24, an icon displaying the poster's profile image and the poster's name are displayed.

[0172] The comment display field FC25 displays the comment attached to the printed image (the comment entered by the poster when posting).

[0173] The album button FB21 is a button for instructing the activation of the album. Images that the user has previously printed are stored in the album. The user can view the images that he or she has previously printed in the album.

[0174] On the print completion screen, at least a portion of the background is displayed in a predetermined color. Figure 17 shows an example in which the upper right and lower left corners of the display field FC22 for the printed image are displayed in a predetermined color. The displayed color is the color selected by the poster of the printed image when posting the image.

[0175] [Functions of Distribution Server] FIG. 19 is a block diagram showing the main functions of the distribution server.

[0176] The distribution server 10 receives image data for posting from the first user terminal device 100, and distributes image data for printing to the second user terminal device 200. In this embodiment, the distribution server 10 is an example of a distribution device.

[0177] As shown in FIG. 19, the distribution server 10 has functions such as an image data reception processing unit 10a, an image data recording processing unit 10b, a distribution processing unit 10c, a reaction information acquisition unit 10d, and a distribution condition change unit 10e.

[0178] The image data reception processing unit 10a performs processing to receive image data to be posted from the first user terminal device 100. Specifically, the image data reception processing unit 10a performs processing to receive image data to be posted uploaded from the first user terminal device 100 and its distribution setting information.

[0179] The image data recording processing unit 10b performs processing to record image data to be posted and distribution setting information uploaded from the first user terminal device 100 in a database (DB) 11. The uploaded image data to be posted and distribution setting information are recorded in a database 20 in association with the identification information of the user who uploaded them.

[0180] The distribution processing unit 10c cooperates with the second user terminal device 200 to perform a process of distributing image data for printing. The processes performed by the distribution processing unit 10c include a process of providing information on image data being distributed, a process of notifying users of image postings, a process of accepting purchases of image data, a process of sending image data for printing to purchasers, and a process of managing sales information. The distribution processing unit 10c distributes each piece of image data in accordance with distribution conditions defined for each piece of image data. In other words, each piece of image data has its own set of conditions, such as a distribution period and the points required for printing, and the distribution processing unit 10c distributes each piece of image data in accordance with the defined conditions.

[0181] As a process for providing information on image data being distributed, the distribution processing unit 10c performs a process for providing information on the image data being distributed to the terminal device (second user terminal device 200) used by the user who will print (second user U2) in response to a request from the user. The information on the image data being distributed is displayed on the display unit 204 of the second user terminal device 200 (see FIGS. 13 and 16 ). In response to a request from the second user terminal device 200, the distribution processing unit 10c generates information on a screen to be displayed on the display unit 204 and transmits it to the second user terminal device 200. In response to a request from the second user terminal device 200, the distribution processing unit 10c generates information on a screen to be displayed on the display unit 204 and transmits it to the second user terminal device 200. The screen information is generated based on the distribution conditions set for the image data to be displayed.

[0182] As a process for notifying the posting of an image, when an image is posted, the distribution processing unit 10c performs a process of notifying followers of the user who posted the image that the image has been posted (so-called push notification process). As described above, follower information is associated with information on the poster's account and stored in the customer management database. Based on the customer management database, the distribution processing unit 10c identifies followers to whom notifications should be sent and notifies them of the post. The notifications are sent to the second user terminal devices 200 of the followers.

[0183] Notification is made at a predetermined timing. If distribution is to be made immediately after posting, the notification is made immediately after posting. If a distribution date and time is specified, the notification is made, for example, N minutes (0≦N) before the start of distribution, or immediately after posting. If notification is to be made immediately after posting, it is preferable to include information about the distribution date and time in the notification.

[0184] As a process for accepting the purchase of image data, the distribution processing unit 10c performs a process for accepting the purchase of image data from a user who wishes to print. As described above, the purchase of image data is performed on the purchase screen (FIG. 16). The distribution processing unit 10c performs a process for accepting the purchase of image data in cooperation with the second user terminal device 200. That is, the process for accepting the purchase is performed by displaying the purchase screen on the display unit 204 of the second user terminal device 200. Furthermore, when the purchase is accepted, the distribution processing unit 10c performs the process required to finalize the sale and purchase (payment process, etc.). As described above, in this embodiment, the distribution period is limited. The distribution processing unit 10c performs a process for accepting the purchase of each image data in accordance with the conditions of the distribution period set for each image data.

[0185] As a process for transmitting image data for printing to the purchaser, the distribution processing unit 10c performs a process for transmitting image data for printing whose sale has been confirmed to the purchaser's second user terminal device 200. In other words, the distribution processing unit 10c performs a process for distributing image data for printing to the purchaser.

[0186] As part of the process of managing sales information, the distribution processing unit 10c collects and manages information on the time when image data is sold on an image data unit basis. The collected sales information includes information on the date and time of sale, information on the sales price (information on points required for printing), information on the purchaser (identification information of the purchaser), information on the purchaser's reaction (information on the reaction button selected by the purchaser), etc. The sales information is associated with information on the image data and recorded in the database 20.

[0187] The reaction information acquisition unit 10d performs processing to acquire reaction information for image data being distributed. The reaction information is information that indicates reactions to the image data being distributed. As an example, in this embodiment, information on the number of distributions in chronological order is acquired as reaction information. The number of distributions is synonymous with the number of sales (number sold) and the number of prints (number of prints). The greater the number of distributions, the greater the reaction. The reaction information acquisition unit 10d acquires reaction information from sales information recorded in the database 20. In this embodiment, information on the number of distributions in chronological order is acquired from the sales information. The information on the number of distributions in chronological order is an example of information on evaluation of the image content.

[0188] The distribution condition change unit 10e changes the distribution conditions of the image data being distributed based on the reaction information. As an example, in this embodiment, the distribution period is changed based on the reaction information. As described above, in this embodiment, information on the number of distributions in chronological order is acquired as reaction information. Therefore, in this embodiment, the distribution period is changed based on the information on the number of distributions in chronological order. The distribution condition change unit 10e determines whether or not to extend the period based on the information on the number of distributions in chronological order, and extends the distribution period only when necessary. A case where extension is necessary is when an increase in the number of distributions is expected. The distribution condition change unit 10e estimates an expected increase in the number of distributions based on the information on the number of distributions in chronological order, and extends the distribution period when an increase is expected. An example of a case where an increase is expected is when the number of distributions is on an increasing trend. When the number of distributions in chronological order is on an increasing trend, the distribution condition change unit 10e estimates that an increase in the number of distributions is expected, and extends the distribution period. For example, when the number of distributions continues to increase, it estimates that an increase in the number of distributions is expected. This estimation may be performed using artificial intelligence (AI). For example, a trained model that has been machine-learned to input information on the number of deliveries in chronological order and output whether or not the number of deliveries is expected to increase may be used to estimate the expected increase in the number of deliveries.

[0189] The distribution condition change unit 10e determines whether or not the distribution conditions need to be changed (in this embodiment, whether or not the distribution period needs to be changed) at a predetermined timing. For example, it determines whether or not the distribution conditions need to be changed when there is remaining time T (for example, if the distribution period is set to 10 minutes, T = 2 minutes). In this case, it estimates whether or not there is an expected increase in the number of distributions at the time of remaining time T and determines whether or not the distribution period needs to be extended. If it determines that an extension is necessary, it extends the distribution period (changes the distribution conditions). The extension time Te is determined in advance (for example, if the distribution period is set to 10 minutes, Te = 3 minutes). Therefore, when extending the distribution period, the distribution condition change unit 10e changes the distribution period so that it is extended by the time Te.

[0190] When the distribution conditions are changed, the distribution processing unit 10c distributes the image data in accordance with the changed distribution conditions. In this embodiment, the distribution period is extended and the image data is distributed.

[0191] [Operation of the Distribution System] As described above, the distribution system 1 of this embodiment provides a service that allows a second user U2 to print an image posted by a first user U1 for a limited time. Therefore, the processing performed in the distribution system 1 is divided into processing performed with the first user U1 and processing performed with the second user U2. Below, the processing performed with the first user U1 and the processing performed with the second user U2 will be explained separately.

[0192] (1) Processing performed with first user U1 The first user U1 is a user who posts images. The distribution system 1 accepts image postings from the first user U1. The processing for accepting image postings is performed by the distribution server 10. The distribution server 10 cooperates with the first user terminal device 100 to perform the processing for accepting image postings.

[0193] FIG. 20 is a diagram showing the flow of processing performed between the first user and the second user.

[0194] First, image data to be posted is acquired in the first user terminal device 100 (step S11). The image data to be posted is acquired, for example, by capturing an image with the first user terminal device 100 or by importing image data that has already been captured.

[0195] Next, various settings related to distribution of the image data to be posted are made (step S12). Items to be set include comments to be added to the image, distribution date and time, points required for printing, color, etc. (see FIG. 10).

[0196] After the settings related to distribution are completed, image data is posted in response to an instruction to post from the first user U1 (step S13). The image data is transmitted (uploaded) to the distribution server 10 together with various setting information related to distribution (distribution setting information).

[0197] The distribution server 10 receives the image data and distribution setting information transmitted (uploaded) from the first user terminal device 100 (step S21).

[0198] The distribution server 10 registers the received image data and distribution setting information in the database 20 (step S22).

[0199] After registering the image data and distribution setting information, the distribution server 10 notifies followers of the user who posted the image of the distribution (so-called push notification) (step S23).

[0200] After the notification, distribution of the image data is started in accordance with the distribution conditions (step S24). That is, the image data is distributed in accordance with the conditions defined as the distribution settings. As described above, in this embodiment, the comments to be added to the image, the distribution date and time, the points required for printing, the color, etc. are set, and the image data is distributed in accordance with these settings. The color information is used, for example, as information required for setting the background color.

[0201] (2) Processing with Second User U2 The second user U2 is a user who prints images. The distribution system 1 provides information about image data being distributed to the second user U2 and sells the image data. The second user U2 can print the images by completing the required purchase procedure.

[0202] FIG. 21 is a diagram showing the flow of processing performed between the first user and the second user.

[0203] As described above, when the distribution server 10 receives the posting of an image, it notifies the followers of the user who posted the image of the distribution (step S23).

[0204] The second user U2, who is a follower, receives the notification via the second user terminal device 200 (step S31).

[0205] Upon receiving the notification, the second user U2 makes a request to view information about the image data being distributed to the distribution server 10 via the second user terminal device 200. In response to this request, the distribution server 10 provides information about the image data being distributed to the second user terminal device 200 (see FIGS. 13 and 16).

[0206] The second user U2 who desires to print performs a purchase procedure via the second user terminal device 200 (step S32). The purchase procedure is performed on a purchase screen (see FIG. 16). The distribution server 10 performs sales processing, including payment, in response to the purchase procedure from the second user U2 (step S25).

[0207] After the payment is completed, the distribution server 10 transmits the image data for printing to the second user U2 who completed the purchase procedure (step S26). The second user U2 receives (downloads) the image data for printing via the second user terminal device 200 (step S33). The received image data is then printed by the printer 300 (step S34). This results in a physical photograph. In this embodiment, a photograph printed on instant film is obtained.

[0208] The distribution server 10 ends the distribution of the image data when the set distribution period ends (step S27).

[0209] In the distribution system 1 of this embodiment, the distribution period is changed as needed. Specifically, the distribution period is extended when an increase in the number of distributions (an increase in the number of sales) is expected.

[0210] FIG. 22 is a flowchart showing the flow of processing from the start to the end of distribution.

[0211] As described above, when the distribution server 10 receives an image posted by the first user U1, it distributes the image data in accordance with the settings.

[0212] First, the distribution server 10 determines whether it is time for distribution to begin (step S41). That is, it determines whether the current date and time has reached the date and time set as the distribution date and time. Note that if "immediate distribution" is selected as the distribution date and time setting, it is determined that the distribution date and time has been reached regardless of the current date and time.

[0213] When it is determined that the determination date and time has been reached, the distribution server 10 starts distributing the image data (step S42). With the start of distribution, information about the image data whose distribution has begun is made public via the network. The second user U2 can access the made public information via the second user terminal device 200. That is, sample images and the like can be viewed for the image data whose distribution has begun.

[0214] After the start of distribution, the distribution server 10 monitors the remaining time of distribution and determines whether the remaining time has reached a preset time T (step S43). The time T is set as the timing for determining whether or not the period needs to be extended (whether or not the distribution period needs to be changed). As an example, in this embodiment, T=2 minutes, and the determination of whether or not the period needs to be extended is made when there are 2 minutes remaining.

[0215] When the remaining time for distribution becomes two minutes, the distribution server 10 starts a process of determining whether or not to extend the distribution period. First, the distribution server 10 acquires reaction information (step S44). In this embodiment, information on the number of distributions in chronological order is acquired as reaction information. Next, the distribution server 10 determines whether or not to extend the distribution period based on the acquired reaction information (step S45). In this embodiment, based on the information on the number of distributions in chronological order, an expected increase in the number of distributions is estimated, and whether or not to extend the distribution period is determined. That is, if an increase in the number of distributions is expected, it is determined that an extension is necessary, and if an increase in the number of distributions is not expected, it is determined that an extension is not necessary. As an example, in this embodiment, if the number of distributions in chronological order is on an increasing trend, it is estimated that an increase in the number of distributions is expected. For example, if the number of distributions in chronological order is simply increasing, it is estimated that an increase in the number of distributions is expected.

[0216] Based on the result of the determination process, the distribution server 10 determines whether to extend the distribution period (step S46). If the distribution period is to be extended, the distribution period is extended by a predetermined time Te (step S47). As an example, in this embodiment, Te=3 minutes, and the distribution period is extended by 3 minutes. The extension changes the distribution period.

[0217] In this embodiment, the distribution period can be extended only once, and distribution ends at the end of the extended period. If the distribution period is not extended, the distribution ends as originally set. That is, the distribution ends within the initially set distribution period (for example, 10 minutes from the start of distribution).

[0218] The distribution server 10 determines whether it is time to end the distribution (step S48). If the distribution period has been extended, it determines whether it is time to end the distribution based on the extended (changed) distribution period.

[0219] If it is determined that the end time for distribution has been reached, the distribution server 10 ends the distribution of the image data (step S49), and thereafter the image data cannot be printed.

[0220] As described above, the distribution system 1 and distribution server 10 of this embodiment determine whether or not the distribution period needs to be extended based on reaction information, and if an increase in the number of distributions is expected, the distribution period is automatically extended. This allows image data to be distributed without missing revenue opportunities. In this way, the distribution system 1 and distribution server 10 of this embodiment can distribute image data appropriately depending on the situation.

[0221] [Modifications] [Delivery Conditions] In the above embodiment, the delivery date and time, delivery points (points required for printing), etc. are set as image delivery conditions, but the items set as image delivery conditions are not limited to these. In addition, for example, the number of deliveries (the number of deliveries that can be made) may also be added as a delivery condition. In a service that allows posted images to be printed, setting the number of deliveries is synonymous with setting the number of prints that can be made. By limiting the number of deliveries, the number of prints that can be made is limited. Therefore, setting the number of deliveries can create a premium feel.

[0222] The display of a sample image when providing information on image data being distributed and the setting of its visibility are also part of the distribution condition settings. Therefore, a configuration may be adopted in which display or non-display of a sample image can be selected as a distribution setting. Furthermore, when a sample image is displayed, the visibility of the sample image can be set.

[0223] In the above embodiment, the initial distribution period (the distribution period when there is no extension) is predetermined, but the initial distribution period may be set arbitrarily by the poster. The initial distribution period is also one of the distribution conditions.

[0224] In addition, in the above embodiment, only the distribution period is changed based on the reaction information, but the distribution conditions that are changed in accordance with the reaction information are not limited to this. For example, instead of or in addition to changing the distribution period, the distribution points, the number of distributions, the visibility of the sample images, etc. may be changed.

[0225] For example, when changing the distribution point, information on the cumulative number of distributions can be acquired as reaction information, and if the cumulative number of distributions at a specific point in time (e.g., an intermediate point) is equal to or less than a threshold, the distribution point can be lowered. In this case, the threshold can be set to half the number of distributions set as the planned number of distributions or the desired number of distributions. The distribution point is lowered by a preset ratio (e.g., 10% OFF). Note that information on the cumulative number of distributions is another example of information on evaluation of image content.

[0226] Furthermore, for example, when changing the visibility of a sample image, the visibility can be changed according to reaction information. For example, as in the above embodiment, when a blurred image is used as the sample image, the degree of blurring of the image (changing the image clarity) can be changed according to reaction information to change the visibility of the sample image. For example, as in the above embodiment, information on the number of distributions in chronological order can be acquired as reaction information, and when an increase in the number of distributions is expected, the visibility can be increased (the blur can be reduced). In this case, the visibility can be increased in combination with an extension of the distribution period. That is, when an increase in the number of distributions is expected, the distribution period can be extended and the visibility of the sample image can be increased.

[0227] When increasing the visibility of the sample image in combination with extending the distribution period, the visibility may be increased only once, or may be increased gradually over time. For example, the visibility may be increased at regular intervals or continuously.

[0228] FIG. 23 is a conceptual diagram showing how the visibility of a sample image is changed.

[0229] Fig. 23 shows an example of changing the visibility of the sample image in combination with extending the distribution period. In particular, Fig. 23 shows an example of increasing the visibility of the sample image over time when the distribution period is extended. Fig. 23 shows an example of extending the distribution period by three minutes. In this case, for example, the visibility is increased simultaneously with the extension, and then the visibility is increased (the blur is reduced) every minute thereafter.

[0230] If the visibility of the sample image is reduced by masking, the visibility is changed by, for example, changing the amount of masking, or by changing the masking pattern.

[0231] If the visibility of the sample image is reduced by changing the color tone, the visibility is changed, for example, by bringing the color tone closer to the image to be printed.

[0232] Furthermore, when posting an image with a comment, as in the above embodiment, the poster may be able to set the disclosure conditions.

[0233] Furthermore, when a comment is made public on a screen (including a purchase screen) that provides information about image data currently being distributed, the disclosure conditions may be changed according to reaction information. For example, if the cumulative number of distributions at a specific point in time is below a threshold, or if the number of distributions in chronological order is on a downward trend, the disclosure conditions for the comment may be changed. Specifically, the display range of comments may be increased, or the displayed comments may be updated (changed). For example, a configuration may be adopted in which up to half of the comments attached to the image are displayed initially, and the remaining half is displayed according to reaction information. Alternatively, a configuration may be adopted in which no comments are displayed initially, and comments are displayed according to reaction information. Alternatively, the displayed comments may be updated (changed) according to reaction information. In addition, the disclosure conditions for comments may be changed in accordance with a change in the distribution period. For example, a configuration may be adopted in which up to half of the comments are displayed initially, and the remaining half is displayed simultaneously with an extension of the distribution period. Alternatively, a configuration may be adopted in which no comments are displayed initially, and comments are displayed simultaneously with an extension of the distribution period. Alternatively, a configuration may be adopted in which no comments are displayed initially, and comments are displayed simultaneously with an extension of the distribution period. Alternatively, the displayed comments may be updated (changed) simultaneously with an extension of the distribution period. When a comment is displayed in multiple parts or when a displayed comment is updated, an image may be posted with multiple comments attached.

[0234] Additionally, comments may be configured to be updated sequentially over time regardless of reaction information, etc. Similarly, the display range may be configured to be changed sequentially over time (for example, the displayed range may be configured to be increased sequentially over time).

[0235] [Reaction Information] In the above embodiment, information on the number of distributions in chronological order is acquired as reaction information, but the information acquired as reaction information is not limited to this. Other reaction information that can be used includes, for example, information on the cumulative number of distributions at a specific point in time (for example, the point in time when determining whether or not an extension is necessary), statistical information on reaction buttons (statistical information for each type of button, etc.), etc.

[0236] In addition, information on the Internet related to the image data to be distributed can be collected and used as reaction information. For example, reaction information can be obtained using hashtags on social media, etc. Hashtags are tags attached to posts on social media, etc., and are used to indicate classifications, subjects, topics, etc., making them easier for other users to find. A hashtag is generally written as a "#" symbol followed by a word or phrase. In this case, information on the number of posts with hashtags related to the image data to be distributed is collected and used as reaction information.

[0237] Typically, the wording of the hashtag can be determined arbitrarily by the user. The distribution server 10 collects information on the number of posts to which a hashtag with a wording related to the image data to be distributed is attached, and obtains information on the total number of posts as reaction information.

[0238] Regarding hashtags, the broadcaster or a related party may announce official hashtags (hashtags officially recommended for use when mentioning the broadcaster on social media, etc.). In this case, the system can be configured to acquire information on the total number of posts that use the official hashtag.

[0239] The number of posts may be the number on a specific SNS, or may be the total number of posts on multiple SNSs.

[0240] In addition, the number of posts that mention the image data to be distributed may be counted and acquired as reaction information.

[0241] Furthermore, if there is a web page or the like that notifies or advertises the image data to be distributed, the number of accesses to the web page or the like may be counted and acquired as reaction information.

[0242] In this way, information on the Internet regarding image data to be distributed is useful for demand forecasting, and can be effectively used as reaction information to determine whether or not changes to distribution conditions are necessary. Generally, the more information there is on the Internet, the more topical and attention-grabbing it is, and the greater the demand is likely to be. Therefore, by obtaining this information as reaction information, distribution conditions can be appropriately changed.

[0243] For example, when hashtag information is used as reaction information, if the number of posts with hashtags related to the image data to be distributed is equal to or exceeds a threshold, the distribution conditions are changed, for example, the distribution period is extended.

[0244] [Determination of whether to change distribution conditions] In the above embodiment, information on the number of distributions in chronological order is acquired as reaction information, and an expected increase in the number of distributions is estimated based on the acquired information. If an increase is expected, the distribution conditions are changed (the distribution period is extended). The method of determining whether to change the distribution conditions is not limited to this. It is preferable to set the conditions appropriately depending on the information acquired as reaction information, the items to be changed, etc.

[0245] For example, when changing the distribution period, information on the cumulative number of distributions at a specific point in time (e.g., information on the cumulative number of distributions at the time of determination) can be acquired, and based on the acquired information on the cumulative number of distributions, it can be determined whether or not to extend the distribution period. That is, based on the acquired information on the cumulative number of distributions, an expected increase in the number of distributions is estimated, and if an increase is expected, the distribution period is extended. For example, if the cumulative number of distributions is equal to or greater than a threshold, it can be estimated that an increase in the number of distributions is expected, and the distribution period can be extended. For example, if the number of distributions is limited (if the number of distributions is set as a distribution setting), a threshold can be set based on the limited number of distributions, and whether or not to extend the period can be determined. For example, half of the set number of distributions can be set as the threshold, and if the cumulative number of distributions at a specific point in time is equal to or greater than the threshold, it can be estimated that an increase in the number of distributions is expected, and the distribution period can be extended. That is, if more than half of the set number of distributions have been delivered at a specific point in time, it can be estimated that an increase in the number of distributions is expected, and the distribution period can be extended. The timing of the determination can be set appropriately depending on the set threshold, etc.

[0246] Conversely, if the cumulative number of deliveries at a specific point in time is equal to or less than a threshold, the delivery period can be extended. The threshold in this case can be set based on, for example, the number of followers of the poster, a target number of deliveries set in advance by the poster, the poster's past delivery record, etc.

[0247] For example, with regard to the number of followers, the number of distributions generally tends to increase as the number of followers increases. Therefore, if the cumulative number of distributions at a certain point in time is low compared to the number of followers, extending the distribution period can be expected to increase distribution. Therefore, by setting a threshold based on the poster's number of followers, the distribution period can be appropriately extended. In this case, the threshold can be, for example, a value obtained by multiplying the number of followers by a predetermined ratio X (0 < X < 1). The set ratio X may be a fixed value or may be dynamically changed depending on the poster's distribution status, etc. For example, the ratio X may be dynamically changed depending on the number of image data that the poster is currently distributing. The number of followers is an example of the number of users registered in association with a user who distributes image content.

[0248] Furthermore, for example, the target number of deliveries set in advance by a poster is set by the poster himself / herself based on past delivery performance, etc. Therefore, if the cumulative number of deliveries at a specific point in time is lower than the target number of deliveries, extending the delivery period can be expected to increase the number of deliveries. Therefore, by setting a threshold based on the target number of deliveries, the delivery period can be appropriately extended. In this case, the threshold can be a value obtained by multiplying the target number of deliveries by a predetermined ratio X, as in the case of the number of followers.

[0249] Furthermore, for example, the minimum number of distributions can be predicted based on the poster's past distribution history. Therefore, if the cumulative number of distributions at a specific point in time is lower than the number of distributions expected based on the poster's past distribution history, extending the distribution period can be expected to increase the number of distributions. Therefore, by setting a threshold based on the poster's past distribution history, the distribution period can be appropriately extended. In this case, the threshold can be, for example, the lowest number of distributions posted by the poster in the past. In addition, for example, the average number of past distributions (the average number of the most recent n posts, the average number of all past posts, etc.) multiplied by a predetermined ratio X, or the number of distributions of the previously posted image multiplied by a predetermined ratio X, can be used as the threshold.

[0250] [Number of Changes to Distribution Conditions] In the above embodiment, the distribution conditions are changed only once, but the distribution conditions may be changed as needed during the distribution period. For example, when the distribution period is changed (extended) as a distribution condition, the period may be extended multiple times. For example, if the number of distributions continues to increase even after extension, the period may be extended repeatedly as long as the increase continues. In this case, for example, the necessity of extension is determined each time the remaining time T is reached, and the extension is repeated.

[0251] Furthermore, when the same condition is changed multiple times, the criteria for determination may be changed each time the condition is changed. For example, when the distribution period is changed, the criteria for determination may be changed each time the condition is changed.

[0252] [Changing the Distribution Period] In the above embodiment, an example of extending the distribution period has been described as an example of changing the distribution period. However, the distribution period can also be shortened depending on the reaction information. For example, if the number of distributions per unit time exceeds a threshold, the distribution period can be shortened. In other words, if there is a concentration of accesses, the distribution period is shortened. This reduces the load on the distribution server 10. In this case, the threshold is set based on the processing capacity of the distribution server 10, etc.

[0253] [Notification] In the above embodiment, when an image is posted, a notification (push notification) is sent to followers, but it is preferable to send a notification when the distribution conditions are changed. For example, it is possible to notify followers of the extension or shortening of the distribution period every time the distribution period is extended or shortened.

[0254] [Display of Image Data Being Distributed] In the distribution system 1 according to the above embodiment, the second user U2 can check information about image data being distributed via the second user terminal device 200. Information about the image data being distributed is displayed on a predetermined screen (see FIG. 13). When the same poster distributes multiple pieces of image data, the information about each piece of image data is displayed in a predetermined display order. This display order may be changed when the distribution conditions are changed. Specifically, the display order is changed so that the image data with changed distribution conditions is displayed at the top (first). Therefore, when the distribution conditions of image data being distributed are changed, a sample image SI of the image data with changed distribution conditions is displayed in the sample image display area FC011 in the initial display. This can increase attention and contribute to an increase in the number of distributions.

[0255] [Second Embodiment] In this embodiment, when a user who has printed an image (a purchaser of image content) shares the printed image on social media or the like, access from a link included in the shared information is used as reaction information. That is, information on access to a purchase screen or the like via the shared information is used to change the distribution conditions. As an example, in this embodiment, the distribution period is changed.

[0256] The basic configuration of the system is the same as that of the first embodiment, so only the operational differences will be described here.

[0257] As described above, in this embodiment, access from information shared by a user who has printed an image is used as reaction information. To facilitate sharing, the distribution system 1 of this embodiment is provided with a sharing function. As an example, the distribution system 1 is provided with a function that allows users to post an image on various SNSs with a link to a purchase screen for the image.

[0258] FIG. 24 is a diagram illustrating an example of a method for implementing a sharing function.

[0259] Fig. 24 is a diagram showing an example of a screen (print completion screen) displayed after printing is completed, in which the printed image is shared on various SNSs. As shown in Fig. 24, the print completion screen has a display field FC26 for share buttons (social buttons). The share button display field FC26 displays share buttons for various SNSs. Fig. 24 shows an example in which share buttons for five SNSs (SNS_A to SNS_E) are displayed.

[0260] When a user selects and taps one of the share buttons displayed in the share button display field FC26, the application program of the SNS corresponding to the selected share button is launched. If the user logs in as needed, a post, message, etc. with a link to the purchase screen for the printed image (see FIG. 16 ) is automatically generated. The user can add a comment as needed and send the post, message, etc. This allows information about the printed image to be shared on the selected SNS. Note that functions using this type of social button, i.e., functions for inputting and outputting information to and from social media using social buttons, are well-known functions. Therefore, these functions can be realized using well-known technology.

[0261] Examples of types of SNS include X (Twitter (registered trademark)), Facebook (registered trademark), LINE (registered trademark), WhatsApp (registered trademark), and Mixi (registered trademark).

[0262] FIG. 25 is a block diagram showing the main functions of the distribution server of this embodiment.

[0263] The distribution server 10 of this embodiment differs from the distribution server of the first embodiment mainly in that it has the function of an access detection unit 10f.

[0264] The access detection unit 10f detects access to the purchase screen via a link.

[0265] When the access detection unit 10f detects access to the purchase screen via a link, the distribution condition change unit 10e changes the distribution conditions. As an example, in this embodiment, the distribution period is changed. More specifically, the distribution period is extended. The link is created in a format that allows identification of access from the link. In other words, the link is created in a format that allows identification of access via shared information.

[0266] FIG. 26 is a flowchart showing the procedure for changing the distribution period in response to access from a link.

[0267] First, the distribution server 10 determines whether it is time to start distribution (step S51). If it determines that the determination date and time has arrived, the distribution server 10 starts distribution of image data (step S52).

[0268] After distribution starts, the distribution server 10 monitors whether or not there is access to the purchase screen from a specific link (step S53). The specific link is a link included in the information shared by the user who printed the image.

[0269] When an access is made from a specific link, the distribution server 10 extends the distribution period of the image data being sold on the accessed purchase page (step S54). The extension is limited to one time, and the extension is for a predetermined time Te. After the extension, the distribution server 10 determines whether the end time of the distribution has arrived (step S55). If it determines that the end time of the distribution has arrived, the distribution server 10 ends the distribution of the image data (step S57).

[0270] If the distribution server 10 determines in step S53 that there is no access from the specific link, it determines whether the end time of the distribution has arrived (step S56). If it determines that the end time of the distribution has not arrived, the distribution server 10 returns to step S53 and determines whether the purchase screen has been accessed from the specific link (step S53). That is, the distribution server 10 continues to monitor access from the specific link throughout the distribution period until there is access. If the end time of the distribution arrives without any access from the specific link, the distribution server 10 ends the distribution of the image data (step S57).

[0271] As described above, in this embodiment, access from the information shared by a user who has printed an image is used as reaction information to change the distribution conditions. Generally, in SNS and the like, the term "share" is used when a user feels that they have shared content on the Internet (including posts on SNS) with their friends, acquaintances, etc. Sharing spreads information. Sharing also makes it possible to deliver information to those who truly need it. Therefore, by using access from the information shared by a user who has printed an image as reaction information, the distribution conditions can be appropriately changed. For example, as in this embodiment, by extending the distribution period based on access to the purchase screen via the shared information, the opportunity to print the image can be appropriately provided.

[0272] [Modifications] [Changing Delivery Conditions] In the above embodiment, an example has been described in which the delivery period is changed when there is access via shared information, but the delivery conditions to be changed are not limited to this. Instead of or in addition to changing the delivery period, other delivery conditions may be changed. For example, instead of or in addition to extending the delivery period, the visibility of sample images may be changed. Furthermore, instead of or in addition to extending the delivery period, the points required for printing may be changed. For example, when there is access via shared information, the points required for printing may be reduced by a certain percentage. These processes may be limited to users who accessed via shared information.

[0273] Furthermore, if there is access via the shared information, a reward may be given to the user who shared the information. For example, a certain number of points may be given to the user who shared the information by printing an image. In this case, the points given may be different depending on whether the user only accessed the information or also printed it.

[0274] [Reaction Information] In the above embodiment, the access information via the shared information is used as the reaction information, but the information used as the reaction information is not limited to this. For example, the purchase screen can be accessed via the shared information, and the information on the actual printing of an image can be used as the reaction information.

[0275] Alternatively, a threshold may be set, and the distribution conditions may be changed when the number of accesses or prints (number of deliveries) exceeds the threshold. For example, the distribution period may be extended when the number of accesses via the shared information exceeds the threshold.

[0276] [Sharing Forms] Sharing includes various forms. For example, in addition to the form of sharing via SNS as in the above embodiment, forms of sharing include sharing via email, message, homepage (including blog), etc. In any case, the image content is shared by adding a link to the distribution destination.

[0277] Note that information made public by a user who has printed an image via SNS or the like is an example of information made public by a user who has purchased image content. Also, information notified to others by a user who has printed an image via email, message, or the like is an example of information notified to other users by a user who has purchased image content.

[0278] [Others] The contents described as the first embodiment above, including variations, can be appropriately applied to the distribution system of this embodiment. Therefore, the distribution conditions can be changed not only for one item, but for multiple items based on different criteria. For example, the distribution period and the points required for printing can be changed using different reaction information.

[0279] [Third Embodiment] In this embodiment, when there is other content related to the image data being distributed, information on the evaluation of the other content is used as reaction information, and the distribution conditions of the image data being distributed are changed. For example, when there is other content (e.g., video content) being distributed in conjunction with the image data, information on the evaluation of the content (e.g., the number of distributions) is used as reaction information.

[0280] Here, we will explain an example in which, when video content of an event such as a concert exists, image data of still images taken at the same event is distributed for a limited period as image data for printing, and in particular, a case in which the distribution period is extended based on the evaluation of the video content.

[0281] The basic configuration of the system is the same as that of the first embodiment, so only the operational differences will be described here.

[0282] (1) Association with Video Content If there is video content related to the image to be posted, the first user U1 adds information about the video content and uploads the image data to be posted to the distribution server 10. For example, the first user U1 adds information about the URL of the video content and uploads the image data to be posted. The information about the related video content is entered, for example, as one piece of distribution setting information on the input screen for distribution setting information, and is associated with the image data to be posted.

[0283] (2) Acquisition of Reaction Information FIG. 27 is a block diagram showing the main functions of the distribution server of this embodiment.

[0284] When there is video content related to the image data being distributed, the distribution server 10 acquires evaluation information of the video content as reaction information. As an example, in this embodiment, information on the number of plays of the video content is acquired as reaction information. The number of plays is synonymous with the number of views.

[0285] The reaction information acquisition unit 10d determines whether or not there is related video content based on the distribution setting information of the image data to be distributed. If related video content exists, the distribution server 10 acquires information on the number of plays of the video content. The distribution server 10 acquires the information on the number of plays in cooperation with the distribution destination of the video content.

[0286] (3) Distribution Period Extension Processing The distribution condition change unit 10e determines whether or not the distribution period of the image data needs to be extended based on the information on the evaluation of the video content acquired by the reaction information acquisition unit 10d. In this embodiment, the distribution condition change unit 10e determines whether or not the distribution period needs to be extended based on information on the number of plays of the related video content. As an example, if the number of plays is equal to or greater than a threshold, it determines that an extension is necessary. The determination as to whether or not an extension is necessary is made when the remaining time T is reached. The distribution condition change unit 10e extends the distribution period of the image data that has been determined to need an extension. In this embodiment, the extension is made only once.

[0287] FIG. 28 is a flowchart showing the procedure for changing the distribution period based on the evaluation of related video content.

[0288] First, the distribution server 10 determines whether it is time to start distribution (step S61). If it determines that the determination date and time has arrived, the distribution server 10 starts distribution of image data (step S62).

[0289] The distribution server 10 determines whether or not there is any related video content based on the information associated with the image data to be distributed (step S63).

[0290] If there is no related video content, the distribution server 10 ends the distribution at the end of the initially set distribution period (steps S69 and S70).

[0291] On the other hand, if there is related video content, the distribution server 10 monitors the remaining time of distribution and determines whether or not the remaining time has reached a preset time T (step S64).

[0292] When the remaining time of the distribution reaches time T, the distribution server 10 starts a process of determining whether or not the distribution period needs to be extended. First, the distribution server 10 acquires reaction information (step S65). In this embodiment, information on the number of plays of related video content is acquired as reaction information. The distribution server 10 determines whether or not the distribution period needs to be extended based on the acquired reaction information (step S66). In this embodiment, the distribution server 10 determines whether or not the distribution period needs to be extended based on the information on the number of plays of related video content. Specifically, if the number of plays is equal to or greater than a threshold, it determines that an extension is necessary.

[0293] Based on the result of the determination process, the distribution server 10 determines whether or not to extend the distribution period (step S67). If the distribution period is to be extended, the distribution period is extended by a predetermined amount of time (step S68). As described above, in this embodiment, the distribution period can be extended only once, and distribution ends at the end of the extended period. If the distribution period is not extended, distribution ends as originally set. That is, distribution ends at the end of the originally set distribution period.

[0294] The distribution server 10 determines whether the end time of the distribution has arrived (step S69). If the distribution period has been extended, the distribution server 10 determines whether the end time of the distribution has arrived based on the extended (changed) distribution period. If it determines that the end time of the distribution has arrived, the distribution server 10 ends the distribution of the image data (step S70).

[0295] As described above, according to this embodiment, when there is video content related to the image data to be distributed, information on the evaluation of the video content (information on the number of distributions in this embodiment) is used as reaction information to change the distribution conditions of the image data. This allows the distribution conditions to be changed appropriately taking into account related events.

[0296] [Modifications] [Delivery conditions to be changed] In the above embodiment, an example has been described in which the delivery period is changed (especially extended), but the delivery conditions to be changed are not limited to this. Instead of or in addition to changing the delivery period, other delivery conditions may be changed.

[0297] [Reaction Information] In the above embodiment, an example has been described in which information on the evaluation of video content related to image data to be distributed is used as reaction information, but when there is other content related to the image data to be distributed, the information to be used as reaction information is not limited to this and can be selected appropriately depending on the type of related content, etc.

[0298] Furthermore, in the above embodiment, information on the number of views of video content is used as information on the evaluation of the video content, but the method of acquiring the evaluation information is not limited to this. For example, if information on the number of reactions of viewers to the video content (e.g., the number of comments, the number of likes, etc.) exists, the reaction information can be acquired as evaluation information. Furthermore, information on the Internet regarding the video content can also be used as evaluation information. For example, evaluation information can be collected using hashtags on social media, etc. In this case, for example, information on the number of posts with hashtags related to the video content on a specific social media can be collected and used as evaluation information.

[0299] In the above embodiment, the reaction information is information on the evaluation of video content related to the image data to be distributed, but the objects from which the reaction information is acquired are not limited to this. In addition, the reaction information can also be information on the evaluation of audio content, other still image content, etc., distributed in association with the image data to be distributed.

[0300] Furthermore, when there are multiple pieces of content related to the image data to be distributed, the evaluation information of the multiple pieces of content may be integrated to obtain a single piece of reaction information. In this case, the evaluation of each piece of content may be weighted.

[0301] Furthermore, video content includes so-called live streaming. Live streaming is a form of streaming in which video and audio are distributed in real time (so-called live broadcasting). When live streaming is the subject of reaction information acquisition, for example, information on the number of plays and reactions generated during the distribution period of image data may be acquired as evaluation information.

[0302] In addition, the related content may be configured to be viewable, listenable, etc. on a display screen and / or purchase screen for information on image data currently being distributed. For example, a video content playback screen may be superimposed on a display screen and / or purchase screen for information on image data currently being distributed. In this case, for example, a method of displaying the video content playback screen in a floating window may be used. Alternatively, a method of splitting the screen may be used.

[0303] Furthermore, in a configuration in which related content can be viewed, watched, etc. on the display screen and / or purchase screen for information on image data being distributed, the two may be associated by the viewing, watching, etc. of the related content. The content viewed, watched, etc. on the display screen and / or purchase screen for information on image data being distributed may be regarded as content related to the image data being distributed, and evaluation information on the content may be acquired as reaction information.

[0304] [Mutual Cooperation] As described above, in the distribution system of this embodiment, a user who has printed an image reacts to the printed image data (selects a reaction button). If there is content related to the image data being distributed, information such as a reaction made by the user who printed the image may be reflected in the related content.

[0305] Furthermore, when distributing image data for printing in conjunction with video content, it is possible to adopt a configuration in which the distribution is announced within the video content and the image data is distributed during the distribution of the video content. For example, when distributing image data for printing in conjunction with video content that is distributed for a limited time, it is possible to adopt a configuration in which the distribution start date and time is announced within the video content and the distribution starts at the announced date and time.

[0306] [Others] The contents described as the first and second embodiments, including variations thereof, can be appropriately applied to the distribution system of this embodiment. Therefore, the distribution conditions can be changed not only for one item but also for multiple items based on different criteria. For example, the distribution period and the points required for printing can be changed using different reaction information.

[0307] Fourth Embodiment For example, a plurality of image data sets that have something in common may be distributed as a series. The image data set of the series may be distributed all at once, or may be distributed incrementally.

[0308] In this embodiment, when image data related to image data currently being distributed is added and distributed, such as when distributing a series of image data, the distribution period of the image data currently being distributed is automatically corrected. Specifically, the distribution period is changed so that the distribution ends in accordance with the newly distributed image data.

[0309] The basic configuration of the system is substantially the same as that of the above embodiment, so only the operational differences will be described here.

[0310] (1) Association When posting image data related to image data currently being distributed, the first user U1 specifies the image data to be associated and posts (uploads) the image data. The image data to be associated is identified, for example, by the file name of the image data. Alternatively, information about the image data currently being distributed is presented to the first user U1, and the first user U1 is allowed to select. The information about the image data to be associated is entered as one piece of distribution setting information on the distribution setting information input screen (see FIG. 10).

[0311] (2) Distribution Period Change Processing FIG. 29 is a block diagram of the main functions of the distribution server of this embodiment.

[0312] The distribution server 10 of this embodiment differs from the distribution server 10 of the first embodiment mainly in that it has the function of a related distribution information acquisition unit 10g.

[0313] When an image is posted by the first user U1, the related distribution information acquisition unit 10g determines whether or not there is an association. If there is an association, the unit acquires information about the associated image data. The information about the associated image data is acquired from the distribution setting information of the image data uploaded by the first user U1. The determination of whether or not there is an association is also based on the distribution setting information.

[0314] If there is associated image data among the image data being distributed, the distribution condition change unit 10e changes the distribution conditions of that image data. Specifically, the distribution period is changed so that the distribution ends in accordance with the end of the distribution of the newly added image data to be distributed. In other words, the distribution periods of all related image data are adjusted so that the distribution ends at the same time (adjusted so that the distribution ends in accordance with the final distribution).

[0315] FIG. 30 is a flowchart showing the procedure for changing the distribution period of related image data.

[0316] First, the distribution server 10 determines whether or not there is a new post (step S81), that is, whether or not there is an upload of image data to be newly distributed.

[0317] When a new post is made, the distribution server 10 determines whether or not there is image data related to the posted image data (step S82), that is, whether or not there is associated image data.

[0318] If there is associated image data among the image data being distributed, the distribution server 10 changes the distribution conditions of that image data (step S83). That is, it changes the distribution period of the image data being distributed so that the distribution ends in accordance with the end of the distribution of the newly added image data to be distributed.

[0319] For example, suppose the initial distribution time (distribution time without extension) is 10 minutes. Suppose that additional related image data is distributed when there are 3 minutes remaining in the distribution period of the image data currently being distributed. In this case, the distribution period of the image data currently being distributed is extended by 7 minutes.

[0320] In this manner, in this embodiment, when image data related to image data currently being distributed is additionally distributed, the distribution period of the image data currently being distributed is changed (extended) so that the distribution ends in accordance with the additionally distributed image data. This allows, for example, when distributing a group of images constituting a series over time, to acquire (print) the entire series of images without missing any. In particular, even when printing is started midway through a series, all images constituting the series can be acquired without missing any (the series can be completed).

[0321] [Modification] [Association] A configuration may be adopted in which image data that has already been distributed can be associated with the image data. In this case, the image data that has already been distributed is re-distributed. In this case, the distribution period is set to match the period of the newly added image data to be distributed.

[0322] Furthermore, association can be performed for multiple image data, in which case the distribution periods for all associated image data are adjusted.

[0323] [Change of distribution period] If the associated image data is further associated with other image data, the distribution period of all associated image data is changed. For example, when distributing a series over time, by associating it with the most recently distributed image data, all of the image data constituting the series can be associated. In this case, the distribution period of the series of image data is adjusted so that distribution ends in accordance with the latest image data.

[0324] [Others] The contents described as the first to third embodiments above, including modifications, can be appropriately applied to the distribution system of this embodiment. Therefore, the distribution conditions of image data being distributed can be changed based on reaction information.

[0325] In addition, when multiple related image data are distributed, if the distribution conditions of one of them are changed, the change may be reflected in the other related image data. For example, if the distribution conditions of even one of a series of image data are changed, the same change is reflected in the other image data. In particular, it is preferable to configure the system so that if the distribution period is changed, the distribution period of the other image data is also changed. In other words, the distribution period of each image data is changed so that the distribution ends at the same time.

[0326] [Other Embodiments] [Image Content to be Distributed] In the above embodiment, an example has been described in which image data for printing is distributed, but the application of the present invention is not limited to this as the image content to be distributed. The present invention can also be applied to the distribution of video content. It can also be applied in the same way to the distribution of image data of ordinary still images that are not for printing.

[0327] When distributing video content, a representative image of the video content can be used as a sample, for example. A representative image can be, for example, a single frame that is representative of the video content. Alternatively, the image of the first frame can be used as the representative image. In the case of video content, a moving image can also be used as the sample. For example, a digest video of the video content can be used as the sample. Alternatively, a few seconds or minutes of moving image extracted from the video content (for example, the first few seconds of moving image) can be used as the sample.

[0328] [Combination] The configurations of the above-described embodiments can be used in appropriate combination.

[0329] [Image Printing] In the above embodiment, the purchased image data is immediately printed, but it may be printed after a certain time has elapsed. In other words, the purchasing process and the printing process may be carried out separately.

[0330] [Payment of Consideration] In the above embodiment, image data is distributed by paying a consideration (consuming points), but the application of the present invention is not limited to this. It can also be applied to cases where the image data is distributed free of charge.

[0331] [System Configuration] The first user terminal device 100 and the second user terminal device 200 may be any computer that can communicate with the distribution server 10 via the network 2. Therefore, they do not necessarily have to be mobile computers.

[0332] Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the printer 300 is described as a printer that prints images on instant film, but the type of printer 300 is not limited to this. Other printers that print images on recording media using inkjet or thermal methods, for example, can also be used. Furthermore, the printer 300 does not necessarily have to be portable; a so-called stationary printer can also be used. Furthermore, the printer 300 does not necessarily have to be owned by the second user U2; it can also be owned by someone else. For example, the present invention can also be applied to printing using a printer installed in a convenience store, etc.

[0333] The printer 300 and the second user terminal device 200 may be connected by wire or wirelessly.

[0334] [Hardware Configuration of Distribution Server] The functions of the distribution server are realized by various processors. The various processors include CPUs and / or GPUs (Graphic Processing Units), which are general-purpose processors that execute programs and function as various processing units, programmable logic devices (PLDs), such as FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays), whose circuit configuration can be changed after manufacture, and dedicated electrical circuits, such as ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits), which are processors with circuit configurations designed specifically to execute specific processes. The term "program" is synonymous with "software."

[0335] A single processing unit may be composed of one of these various processors, or may be composed of two or more processors of the same or different types. For example, a single processing unit may be composed of multiple FPGAs, or a combination of a CPU and an FPGA. Furthermore, multiple processing units may be composed of a single processor. Examples of multiple processing units composed of a single processor include: a first configuration, as typified by computers used as clients or servers, in which a single processor is composed of a combination of one or more CPUs and software, and this processor functions as multiple processing units; a second configuration, as typified by system-on-chip (SoC), in which a processor is used to realize the functions of an entire system including multiple processing units on a single IC (Integrated Circuit) chip; and a hardware structure, in which the various processing units are composed of one or more of the above-mentioned various processors.

[0336] The functions of the distribution server can also be realized by a so-called cloud computer.
