[0002] A variety of items may include graphical and ornamental elements on an exteriorof the item, or on packaging of the item. Often, such items may only be stored in a mannerwhich may prevent viewing of the graphical and ornamental elements on the exterior ofthe item. For example, books, records, vinyl record albums, and compact disks are itemswhich may include graphical and ornamental elements suitable for viewing along thefront side of the item. A mounting apparatus which is configured to display such itemson a wall for storage while remaining usable for their intended purpose is desirable.SUMMARY
[0003] This specification discloses a mounting kit having a first mounting member whichis L-shaped; and a second mounting member (120) which is straight wherein each of thefirst mounting member and the second mounting member are configured to be attachedto a wall and to support an item.

First mounting member(110) may include a first face plate (111) and first housing portion (113). The first housingportion (113) may include a first lip section (112), the first lip section (112) retains anitem between the first lip section (112) and the wall. The first housing portion (113) mayinclude embedded magnets which may be placed within magnet holders, the magnetholders may be placed within the first interior receptacle (116) of the first housing portion(113). Also, the first housing portion (113) may include embedded metallic pieces whichmay be placed within metallic piece holders, the metallic piece holders may be placedwithin the first interior receptacle (116) of the first housing portion (113). The firsthousing portion (113) may removably connect with a removable first face plate (111). Thefirst interior receptacle (116) may be further configured to contain one or more batterieswhich may power the first light source (117).

Claims
CLAIMSWhat is claimed is:
1. A mounting kit, comprising:a first mounting member (110) which is L-shaped; anda second mounting member (120) which is straight; andwherein each of the first mounting member and the second mounting memberare configured to be attached to a wall and to support an item.
2. The mounting kit of claim 1, wherein the first mounting member comprises afirst face plate (111) connected to a first housing portion (113), and the secondmounting member comprises a second face plate (121) connected to a secondhousing portion (123).
3. The mounting kit of claim 2, wherein the first face plate includes a first lip section(112) which extends beyond the first housing portion, the second face plateincludes a second lip section (122) which extends beyond the second housingportion, the first lip section is configured to retain the item between the first faceplate and the wall, and the second lip section is configured to retain the itembetween the second face plate and the wall.
4. The mounting kit of claim 2, wherein the first housing portion includes at leastone first magnet (115) configured to removably connect the first housing portionto the first face plate, and the second housing portion includes at least one secondmagnet (125) configured to removably connect the second housing portion to thesecond face plate.
5. The mounting kit of claim 2, wherein the first housing portion includes a firstinterior receptacle (116) for containing at least one battery (700) and a first lightsource (117), and / or the second housing portion includes a second interiorreceptacle (126) for containing the at least one battery and a second light source(127).
6. The mounting kit of claim 5, wherein the first housing portion further includes afirst switch (118) or a first button to control the first light source, and / or thesecond housing portion further includes a second switch (128) or a second buttonto control the second light source.
7. The mounting kit of claim 5, wherein the first light source and / or the secondlight source is controlled by a remote-control device (200) which includes aninterface to control the first light source and / or the second light source.
8. The mounting kit of claim 5, wherein the first light source includes a screenconfigured to filter light from the first light source, and / or the second light sourceincludes the screen configured to filter light from the second light source.
9. The mounting kit of claim 1, wherein the first mounting member includes at leastone first interlocking fastener (119), and / or the second mounting memberincludes at least one second interlocking fastener (129), and wherein each of thefirst interlocking fastener and the second interlocking fastener are configured toconnect with at least one wall interlocking fastener (800) to attach the firstmounting member and / or the second mounting member to the wall.
10. The mounting kit of claim 1, wherein the first mounting member includes anadhesive layer applied to a first member rear side (114) and / or the secondmounting member includes the adhesive layer applied to a second member rearside (124).
11. The mounting kit of claim 2, wherein the first mounting member includes a firstbracket (400) having a flat portion side and an opposite side having one or morefirst tabs (410) configured to form a tension fit with the first housing portion.
12. The mounting kit of claim 11, wherein the first bracket includes at least one firstopening (420) configured to allow a fastener to pass through the first bracket andconnect to the wall.
13. The mounting kit of claim 11, wherein the first bracket includes a level (600)connected to a level holder (610) within the first bracket.
14. The mounting kit of claim 2, wherein the second mounting member includes asecond bracket (500) having a flat portion side and an opposite side having oneor more second tabs (510) configured to form a tension fit with the secondhousing portion.
15. The mounting kit of claim 14, wherein the second bracket includes at least onesecond opening (520) configured to allow a fastener to pass through the secondbracket and connect to the wall.
16. The mounting kit of claim 14, wherein the second bracket includes a level (600)connected to a level holder (610) within the second bracket.
