Bonded fabric, clothing, and method for manufacturing bonded fabric
[0001] The present invention relates to a bonded fabric for bonding fabrics together, a garment, and a method for manufacturing the bonded fabric.
[0002] Conventionally, a wide variety of techniques for joining fabrics together have been developed. For example, a technique has been studied in which two fabrics (first fabric 1 and second fabric 2) are joined together at their overlapping edges, and an adhesive resin 3 is applied to the overlapping portion, as shown in Fig. 1 (see, for example, Patent Document 1). Another known technique, as shown in Fig. 2, involves joining the edge of one of the two fabrics (second fabric 2) to the other fabric (first fabric 1) with adhesive resin 3a at a position away from the edge of first fabric 1, and then applying adhesive resin 3b to the edge of first fabric 1, folding it upward, and joining it to second fabric 2 (see, for example, Patent Document 2).

[0004] However, in the conventional technology described in Patent Document 1, for example, when the edges of the fabrics to be joined are curved, it is necessary to join the edges by pulling the fabrics together. Therefore, not only is the processing difficult, but the edges of the fabric are exposed on the front, which has the problem of poor appearance quality.
[0005] Furthermore, the conventional technology described in Patent Document 2 not only suffers from poor appearance quality due to the floating of the folded portion, but also has the problem that the fabric is prone to getting caught at the step of the joint, causing the joint to peel off due to repeated snagging.
[0006] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above circumstances, and aims to provide a bonded fabric, a garment, and a method for manufacturing a bonded fabric that have excellent peel strength and ease of processing, and also have excellent appearance quality.
[0007] In order to solve the above problems and achieve the object, the present invention has any of the following configurations.
[0008] That is, the bonded fabric of the present invention is characterized in that it comprises [1] at least a first fabric and a second fabric, the first fabric and the second fabric being bonded together by a bonding portion, the first fabric having a bag-shaped portion with an end folded over, the bonding portion having a first bonding portion that bonds at least a part of the inside of the bag-shaped portion, a second bonding portion that bonds the end of the bag-shaped portion that is inside the bag-shaped portion and on the folded-over side to the end of the second fabric, and a third bonding portion that bonds the folded-over side of the bag-shaped portion to the end of the second fabric that is inside the second bonding portion.

[0018] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention (hereinafter referred to as "embodiment") will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. Note that the drawings are merely schematic.
[0019] FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional schematic diagram showing an example of a bonded fabric according to the present invention. As shown in FIG. 3 , a bonded fabric 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a first fabric 1 and a second fabric 2, and the first fabric 1 and the second fabric 2 are bonded together at a bonded portion 9. In the bonded fabric 10, the first fabric 1 has a bag-shaped portion 7 formed by folding back an end of the first fabric 1. The bonded portion 9 includes a first bonded portion 4 that bonds at least a portion of the interior of the bag-shaped portion 7, a second bonded portion 5 that bonds an end of the bag-shaped portion 7 that is inward from the bag-shaped portion 7 and on the folded-back side to the end of the second fabric 2, and a third bonded portion 6 that bonds the folded-back side of the bag-shaped portion 7 to an end of the second fabric 2 that is inward from the second bonded portion 5. Therefore, repeated catching on the fabric can cause peeling of the third joint portion 6 and the second joint portion 5, which will be described later.
[0022] As shown in Fig. 3, the third bonded portion 6 is a bonded portion formed by bonding the end portion of the first fabric 1 (the fabric end 1c side of the bag-shaped portion 7) with a third adhesive 6a at a position away from the end portion of the second fabric 2. By forming the second bonded portion 5 closer to the end portion of the second fabric 2 than the third bonded portion 6 (more inward than the bag-shaped portion 7 of the first fabric 1), the strength of the bonded fabric 10 shown in Fig. 3 against peeling in the a-b direction is increased.
[0023] The bond widths of the first bonded portion 4, the second bonded portion 5, and the third bonded portion 6 are preferably in the range of 0.1 cm to 1.0 cm, respectively. This is because this allows the bonded fabric 10 to have a good balance of peel strength, appearance, and texture. A lower limit of the bond widths of the first bonded portion 4, the second bonded portion 5, and the third bonded portion 6 of 0.1 cm or more is preferable because it improves the peel strength of the bonded fabric 10 and prevents peeling when wearing a garment including the bonded fabric 10. Furthermore, an upper limit of the bond widths of the first bonded portion 4, the second bonded portion 5, and the third bonded portion 6 of 1.0 cm or less is preferable because it reduces the width of the thick adhesive portion in the bonded fabric 10, resulting in excellent appearance and suppressing hardening of the texture. The bond widths of the first bonded portion 4, the second bonded portion 5, and the third bonded portion 6 are more preferably in the range of 0.3 cm to 0.7 cm.
[0024] The width of the bag-shaped portion 7 is preferably in the range of 0.1 cm to 1.0 cm. This is because a good balance of peel strength, appearance quality, and texture of the bonded fabric 10 can be achieved. When the width of the bag-shaped portion 7 is 0.1 cm or more, the bond width of the first bonded portion 4 is also 0.1 cm or more, thereby achieving sufficient peel strength of the bonded fabric 10 and preventing peeling when wearing a garment including the bonded fabric 10. Therefore, the lower limit of the width of the bag-shaped portion 7 is preferably 0.1 cm or more. Furthermore, when the width of the bag-shaped portion 7 is 1.0 cm or less, deterioration of appearance quality due to the thick fold width of the bonded fabric 10 is prevented, and hardening of the texture is also prevented. Therefore, the upper limit of the width of the bag-shaped portion 7 is preferably 1.0 cm or less. The width of the bag-shaped portion 7 is more preferably in the range of 0.3 cm to 0.7 cm.
[0025] The distance between the second bonded portion 5 and the third bonded portion 6 is preferably 0 cm or more and 1.0 cm or less. This is because, when the distance is within the range of 0 cm or more and 1.0 cm or less, the appearance quality and texture of the bonded fabric 10 can be balanced. If the upper limit of the distance between the second bonded portion 5 and the third bonded portion 6 is 1.0 cm or less, the width of the bonded portion where two or three layers of fabric overlap in the bonded fabric 10 becomes narrow, thereby making it possible to obtain a bonded fabric 10 with excellent appearance quality and texture. Therefore, the upper limit of the distance is preferably 1.0 cm or less. The distance between the second bonded portion 5 and the third bonded portion 6 is more preferably within the range of 0 cm or more and 0.5 cm or less.
[0026] Examples of the composition of the first fabric 1 and the second fabric 2 include polyester and nylon. However, the first fabric 1 and the second fabric 2 are not particularly limited to these compositions. The first fabric 1 and the second fabric 2 may be fabrics of the same type of composition, or may be fabrics of different compositions.

[0029] The first adhesive 4a, the second adhesive 5a, and the third adhesive 6a may be made of a variety of resins, such as epoxy, urethane, and acrylic resins. However, these adhesives are not limited to these compositions. The first adhesive 4a, the second adhesive 5a, and the third adhesive 6a are preferably reactive hot-melt adhesives. When these adhesives are reactive hot-melt adhesives, the resin in the adhesive softens or melts and penetrates between the structures at the bonded portion. After cooling and solidifying, the adhesive reacts with ambient moisture to promote cross-linking, forming an adhesive structure with excellent heat resistance, solvent resistance, and the like.
[0030] Next, a method for manufacturing a bonded fabric according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described. Fig. 7 is a diagram illustrating an example of a manufacturing process for a bonded fabric according to the present invention. The manufacturing method for a bonded fabric according to an embodiment of the present invention is a manufacturing method for a bonded fabric in which at least a first fabric and a second fabric are bonded, and includes a first step, a second step, a third step, a fourth step, and a fifth step shown in Fig. 7.
[0031] Specifically, in the manufacturing method for joined fabric according to the embodiment of the present invention, as shown in FIG. 7 , the first step is to apply a first adhesive 4a to an end of the first fabric 1. The second step is to fold the first fabric 1 starting from the first adhesive 4a applied thereto to form a bag-shaped portion 7, and to bond at least a portion of the inside of the bag-shaped portion 7 with the first adhesive 4a. The third step is to apply a third adhesive 6a to the folded side of the bag-shaped portion 7 (the back side 1b of the first fabric 1 (more specifically, the surface of the front side 1a folded over to the back side 1b)). The fourth step is to apply a second adhesive 5a to the back side 1b of the first fabric 1 and inside the bag-shaped portion 7. The fifth step is to bond the first fabric 1 and the second fabric 2 with the second adhesive 5a and the third adhesive 6a. As an example of the manufacturing method of the bonded fabric according to the present embodiment, the steps 1 to 5 may be performed in this order, or the order of steps 3 and 4 may be reversed. Of the front and back sides of the first fabric 1 described above, the front side 1a refers to the front side when the first fabric 1 is used as a bonded fabric and a garment, and the back side 1b refers to the back side when the first fabric 1 is used as a bonded fabric and a garment.
[0032] Furthermore, in the manufacturing method of the joined fabric according to the embodiment of the present invention, in the fifth step, the first fabric 1 is folded over to join the back side 1b of the first fabric 1 and the bag-shaped portion 7 to the second fabric 2 with a third adhesive 6a, and the back side 1b of the first fabric 1 and the inside of the bag-shaped portion 7 to the end of the second fabric 2 with a second adhesive 5a.

[0036] The bonded fabric was evaluated for each of the following items (1) to (7).
[0037] (1) Peel strength (stitch strength) The peel strength of the bonded fabric was determined according to JIS L 1093 (2011) 7.1.1 A-1 method.
[0038] (2) Appearance quality The appearance quality of the joined fabric was evaluated by visually inspecting the appearance of the joined portion between the first and second fabrics that constituted the joined fabric. In the evaluation of appearance quality, a pass / fail judgment was made according to a three-level evaluation standard: ◎ (best), ○ (medium), and × (worst), with ○ or above being considered a pass.

This procedure was repeated 10 times, and the average value was rounded to one decimal place to determine the target joint width to one decimal place.

This procedure was repeated 10 times, and the average value was rounded to one decimal place to determine the distance between the target bonded portions to one decimal place.
[0044] Example 1 In Example 1, as shown in Fig. 7 , first, a first adhesive 4a was applied in a dot pattern 10 mm from the edge of a first fabric 1 (first step). Next, the edge of the first fabric 1 was folded back to meet the edge of the applied first adhesive 4a to form a bag-shaped portion 7, and the inside of the bag-shaped portion 7 was bonded with the first adhesive 4a (second step). After that, a third adhesive 6a was applied to the folded side of the double-layered bag-shaped portion 7 of the first fabric 1 (third step), and a second adhesive 5a was applied to a position 5 mm from the bag-shaped portion 7 and inside the fabric (fourth step). After joining these two pieces of fabric, the joint between the fabrics was pressed in the same manner as in Example 1 described above to obtain a sample. Furthermore, when processing the curved portions of these two pieces of fabric, it was necessary to pull the fabrics to align the edges while joining them, which made the process very difficult.
[0051] Comparative Example 2 In Comparative Example 2, five samples were prepared in the same manner as in Example 5 described above, except that the first bonded portion 4 (see FIG. 3) was not present, as shown in FIG. 2, and a peel test was performed on each sample. The resulting peel strength was 26.9 N. In the bonded fabric of Comparative Example 2, the absence of the first bonded portion 4 resulted in poor appearance quality of the bonded fabric due to the lifting of the bag-shaped portion 7, and the lifting of the bag-shaped portion 7 created steps that made the fabric prone to getting caught.

Claims
1. A joined fabric comprising at least a first fabric and a second fabric, the first fabric and the second fabric joined together by a joining section, wherein the first fabric has a bag-shaped section with an end folded over, the joining section comprising: a first joining section joining at least a part of the inside of the bag-shaped section; a second joining section joining an end of the second fabric that is inside the bag-shaped section and on the folded-over side; and a third joining section joining the folded-over side of the bag-shaped section to an end of the second fabric that is inside the second joining section.
2. The bonded fabric according to claim 1, wherein the bond widths of the first bonded portion, the second bonded portion and the third bonded portion are 0.1 to 1.0 cm.
3. The bonded fabric according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the width of the bag-shaped portion is 0.1 to 1.0 cm.
4. The bonded fabric according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the distance between the second bonded portion and the third bonded portion is 0 to 1.0 cm.
5. The bonded fabric according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the first bonded portion, the second bonded portion and the third bonded portion are formed by dot-shaped adhesive, line-shaped adhesive or sheet-shaped adhesive.
6. A garment comprising the bonded fabric according to claim 1 or 2.

A method for manufacturing a bonded fabric in which at least a first fabric and a second fabric are bonded together, comprising: a first step of applying a first adhesive to an end of the first fabric; a second step of folding the first fabric back from the applied first adhesive as a starting point to form a bag-like portion and bonding at least a portion of the inside of the bag-like portion with the first adhesive; a third step of applying a third adhesive to the folded side of the bag-like portion; a fourth step of applying a second adhesive to the back side of the first fabric and inside the bag-like portion; and a fifth step of bonding the first fabric and the second fabric together with the second adhesive and the third adhesive.
8. A method for manufacturing a joined fabric as described in claim 7, wherein the fifth step involves folding back the first fabric, joining the back side of the first fabric and the bag-shaped portion to the second fabric with the third adhesive, and joining the back side of the first fabric and the inside of the bag-shaped portion to the end of the second fabric with the second adhesive.
