[0034] It should be noted that, due to space limitations, the description of the present disclosure does not exhaust all possible embodiments. Those skilled in the art, after reading the description of the present disclosure, should be able to think that, as long as the technical features do not contradict each other, any combination of technical features may constitute a possible embodiment. The following describes each embodiment in detail.

[0035] First, the terms involved in the present disclosure are explained as follows.

[0036] Head Up Display (HUD) : also known as a head up display system, which has been widely used in vehicles. The basic principle of an in-vehicle head up display is to project important driving information such as vehicle status and navigation onto a projection medium, such as a windshield or a specially designed screen inside the vehicle, through a designed optical path, to assist driving.

[0037] The development of the vehicle industry has placed increasingly high demands on manufacturers and expects innovations in the physical attributes of vehicles, as well as the interactive experience between vehicle users and vehicles. In particular, there is an expectation to develop vehicles that may manage vehicle operation data as efficiently as possible, thereby enhancing the driving experience and realizing optimal safety assurance for drivers and passengers.

[0038] In existing methods, data may be displayed to the driver through a head up display, allowing the driver to not rely entirely on an instrument panel or a screen that is not within the forward gaze (also known as the gaze axis) while driving. The use of a head up display may present data within the field of view of the driver while driving, without requiring the driver to shift driver’s gaze away from the road ahead. However, traditional head up displays do not classify the displayed data, resulting in cluttered data, and the visibility of data in different fields of vision under various driving conditions is not sufficiently clear.

[0039] The data display method of a vehicle provided by the present disclosure, relating to the technical field of vehicles, in particular to a data display method, apparatus and storage medium of a vehicle, aiming at solving the foregoing technical problems in the prior art.

[0040] The technical solution of the present disclosure and how the technical solution of the present disclosure addresses the foregoing technical problems are described in detail below with reference to specific embodiments. The following specific embodiments may be combined with each other, and for the same or similar concepts or processes, some embodiments may not be repeated. The embodiments of the present disclosure will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0041] FIG. 1 is a vehicle structure diagram of a data display method of a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As can be seen from FIG. 1, the vehicle 10 may include a vehicle body 12 and four wheels 14, a vehicle cabin 18, a transparent cover 16, and a controller 8 of the vehicle. The transparent cover includes a vehicle top part, which may continuously extend forward with a windshield of the vehicle 10 and extend backward to cover a trunk of the vehicle. A frame 20 may provide rigid support for a transparent panel of the transparent cover while allowing as much light as possible to penetrate the vehicle cabin 18. The vehicle cabin 18 has three seats, including a driver seat located in a center of the vehicle and two rear seats for passengers. A steering wheel may be mounted in a center of the vehicle cabin 18 for convenient use by the driver.

[0042] FIG. 2 is a flowchart 1 of a data display method of a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG. 2, the method includes steps as follows.

[0043] S201, acquiring vehicle operation data and a viewpoint direction of a driver, where the viewpoint direction represents a gaze direction of eyes of the driver, and a driver seat is located in a central position of the vehicle.

[0044] Exemplary, vehicle operation data may include various dynamic information generated during a driving process of the vehicle, such as speed, acceleration, direction, engine status, fuel consumption, brake status, steering angle, and other information. These pieces of data are typically monitored and recorded in real-time by sensors inside the vehicle. The viewpoint direction represents the gaze direction of eyes of the driver, representing the area of focus for the driver at a specific moment. The way for acquiring the viewpoint direction may be achieved through eye-tracking technology. The driver seat is located in the center position of the vehicle, which enables to expand the field of view. For example, the vehicle contains a controller, which configures to control and manage various systems and data within the vehicle. The vehicle operation data may be acquired through various sensors inside the vehicle, and the acquired data is aggregated to the controller. A camera mounted in front of the driver within the vehicle cabin may be configured to monitor the gaze direction of eyes of the driver in real-time.

[0045] The beneficial effects of this configuration are that through acquiring the vehicle operation data and the viewpoint direction of the driver, the driver's attention may be ensured to focus on key areas. Furthermore, the driver seat is located in the center to expand the driver's field of view, improving the driving safety and user experience.

[0046] S202, determining a target area on a windshield according to the viewpoint direction of the driver.

[0047] Exemplary, the viewpoint direction represents a gaze direction of eyes of the driver. The target area represents a certain area on the windshield where the eyes of the driver gaze. For example, an eye-tracking system is installed in the vehicle, which may monitor the eye movements of the driver in real-time by a camera or an infrared sensor. This system may accurately capture the gaze direction and gaze point of the driver. By analyzing eye-tracking data such as the gaze direction, the gaze point, and so on, a current gaze direction and gaze position of the driver may be determined, that is, the viewpoint direction is determined, which may include calculating a gaze angle, a coordinate of the gaze point in three-dimensional space, and so on. After determining the viewpoint direction of the driver, the controller acquires the viewpoint direction and the position of the driver and converts them into corresponding positions on the windshield. For example, a viewpoint position is determined on the windshield, and with this viewpoint position as a center and a preset distance as a radius, an area may be determined, and this area is determined as a target area.

[0048] The beneficial effects of this configuration are that through determining the target area on the windshield according to the viewpoint direction of the driver, it can ensure that information is presented at an optimal angle, thus, the visual deviation of the driver can be reduced, and the driving safety can be improved.

[0049] S203, displaying the vehicle operation data at the target area on the windshield.

[0050] Exemplary, the vehicle operation data may include various dynamic information generated during traveling of the vehicle, such as speed, acceleration, direction, engine state, fuel consumption, braking state, steering angle, and the like. For example, after a viewpoint direction of a driver is determined by the eye tracking system and a viewpoint position of the driver is acquired, a controller of the vehicle determines the target area according to the viewpoint position and the driver's position. A plurality of optical assemblies are preset on an instrument panel inside the vehicle, which can display the operation data of the vehicle in the target area on the windshield. Different target areas may correspond to different optical assemblies, and corresponding optical assemblies, that is, target assemblies, may be determined according to the target areas, and the controller may display the acquired vehicle operation data at the target areas on the windshield through the target assemblies.

[0051] The beneficial effects of this configuration are that through displaying the vehicle operation data to the target area on the windshield, the information can be displayed within the optimal visual of the driver, and the visual deviation of the driver can be reduced, and thus the driving safety can be improved.

[0052] In the present embodiment, a plurality of optical assemblies are mounted on an instrument panel of the vehicle, the optical assembly is configured to reflect light onto the windshield; and displaying the vehicle operation data at the target area on the windshield. includes: determining light source information of an optical assembly corresponding to the target area according to the viewpoint direction of the driver and the target area, where the light source information represents a light emission situation of the optical assembly; and displaying the vehicle operation data at the target area on the windshield according to the light source information.

[0053] Exemplary, a plurality of optical assemblies are mounted on an instrument panel of the vehicle, the optical assembly is configured to reflect light onto the windshield, and the light source information represents a light emission situation of the optical assembly. For example, first, the target area may be determined according to the viewpoint direction of the driver, and then a corresponding target assembly may be determined according to the target area. The target area corresponds to the target assembly one by one. Then, by acquiring the external light information in the direction where the driver's viewpoint is located, the brightness and the color of the target assembly can be determined, that is, the light source information of the optical assembly corresponding to the target area can be determined. For example, different optical assemblies are required in different areas on a windshield of a vehicle. When the target area is located in a center of the windshield in front of the driver seat, the brightness of the target assembly can be adjusted to low brightness or light color, and when the target area is located on a left or right side of the windshield, the brightness of the target assembly can be adjusted to high brightness or dark color.

[0054] The beneficial effects of this configuration are that the light source information of the target assembly is adjusted according to different target areas, so that the information is more clearly displayed, and thus the driving experience can be improved.

[0055] In the present embodiment, the light source information includes brightness and color; and determining light source information of the optical assembly corresponding to the target area according to the viewpoint direction of the driver and the target area includes: determining a target assembly from the plurality of optical assemblies according to the target area on the windshield; determining external light information corresponding to the viewpoint direction of the driver; and determining the brightness and the color of the light source of the target assembly according to the external light information.

[0056] Exemplary, a plurality of optical assemblies is provided in the vehicle, and the optical assembly is configured to reflect light onto the windshield. The plurality of optical assemblies provided in the vehicle are located on a front surface and a top surface of the instrument panel, and various assemblies may correspond to different colors. FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of a vehicle windshield of a data display method of a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG. 3, 304 is a steering wheel, 301 is a windshield, 302 is a reflection position, that is, a viewpoint position, and 303 is light emitted by a plurality of optical assemblies, and the plurality of optical assemblies are located on the instrument panel on a front side of the steering wheel. For example, after the target area is determined, a corresponding target assembly may be determined according to the target area, where the target assembly corresponds to the target area one by one. Assuming that the determined target area is a, the optical assembly 1 for projecting data to the position may be found according to the area, and if the determined target area is b, the optical assembly 2 for projecting data to the area b may be found. The found optical assembly is determined to be the target assembly.

[0057] The beneficial effects of this configuration are that through determining different target assemblies according to different target areas, adjusting the brightness and the color of the light source of the target assembly according to the external light information, it is convenient to adjust target assemblies according to different external light conditions, and thus the data visibility and driving experience can be improved.

[0058] In the present embodiment, displaying the vehicle operation data at the target area on the windshield includes: determining a data type of the operation data; determining a display orientation corresponding to the data type of the operation data according to a preset association relationship, where the preset association relationship represents an association relationship between the data type and the display orientation; determining a display area from the target area according to the display orientation; and displaying the vehicle operation data at the display area on the windshield.

[0059] Exemplary, the vehicle operation data may be of various types, and may include, for example, velocity data, position and navigation data, environmental data, battery data, and the like. Classifying data types can make the data display on the windshield more organized. The preset association relationship represents an association relationship between the data type and the display orientation, and there may be a variety of display orientations, and may be upper left or lower right. For example, after the vehicle operation data is acquired, a data type of the vehicle is first determined, where an identifier for distinguishing the data type may be provided in each data, and a controller determines the data type of the acquired vehicle operation data according to the identifier. Depending on the data type, the display orientation of the data in the target area is determined. For example, dividing into an area 1 and an area 2, which are located at different orientations of the target area on the windshield. The area 1 is located on the upper left and the area 2 is located on the lower right. The area 1 is configured to display velocity data, and area 2 is configured to display position and navigation data. Thus, after the velocity data is acquired, the velocity data may be displayed at the upper left of the target area, i.e. at area 1, and the navigation data may be displayed at the lower right of the target area, i.e. at area 2.

[0060] The beneficial effects of this configuration are that it is convenient to divide the target area into different display areas, so that data can be displayed in different display areas according to different types, and the driver can more conveniently view the data, and thus the driving experience can be improved.

[0061] The data display method, apparatus, and storage medium of a vehicle are provided by the present disclosure. By acquiring vehicle operation data and a viewpoint direction of a driver, a target area on a windshield may be determined, and a driver seat is located in a central position of the vehicle, where the viewpoint direction represents a gaze direction of eyes of the driver. After the target area is determined, according to the viewpoint direction of the driver and the target area, an optical assembly corresponding to the target area is utilized to display the vehicle operation data at the target area on the windshield. Different optical assemblies may correspond to different target areas. In the present disclosure, a data display area, i.e., the target area, is determined according to the viewpoint direction of the driver, then the vehicle operation data is displayed at a target area on the windshield. In this way, the driver does not need to look down at the instrument panel or significantly move their head while the vehicle operation data is clearly acquired within the forward field of view, and thus the data display area can be expanded, the driving safety of the driver can be improved, and the driving experience can be enhanced.

[0062] FIG. 4 is a flowchart 2 of a data display method of a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG. 4, the method includes steps as follows.

[0063] S401, acquiring vehicle operation data and a viewpoint direction of a driver, where the viewpoint direction represents a gaze direction of eyes of the driver, and a driver seat is located in a central position of the vehicle.

[0064] Exemplary, the present step may refer to foregoing Step S201, which will not be repeated herein.

[0065] S402, determining a viewpoint position according to the viewpoint direction of the driver, where the viewpoint position represents a position on the windshield where the eyes of the driver gaze.

[0066] Exemplary, the viewpoint direction represents a gaze direction of eyes of the driver, a viewpoint position may be an intersection of the gaze direction of the driver and the windshield, that is, a position of a gaze of the driver on the windshield. For example, after acquiring the gaze direction and position of the driver by a camera, the acquired data is transmitted to a controller of the vehicle. The controller may determine the viewpoint position of the driver. FIG. 5 is a side view of a vehicle relative to a windshield of a data display method of a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG. 5, 505 is a gazed position of the eyes of the driver, 501 is an interior of the vehicle cabin, 502 is a windshield, 504 is an optical assembly, and 503 is a virtual reflection point seen by the driver, i.e., the viewpoint position. Due to optical characteristics, when light is reflected, the information seen by the driver appears to be located at a position outside the windshield. In reality, the information is displayed on the windshield through optical reflection. An actual reflection point is located on the windshield, and the target area may be determined according to the position of this viewpoint.

[0067] The beneficial effects of this configuration are that the viewpoint position is determined according to the viewpoint direction, the information display area is convenient to subsequently determine according to the viewpoint position, thus, the information is ensured to be displayed at an optimal position within the driver's field of view, and the visual deviation of the driver can be reduced, and thus the driving safety can be improved.

[0068] S403, determining the target area on the windshield according to the viewpoint position.

[0069] Exemplary, a viewpoint position may be an intersection of the gaze direction of the driver and the windshield, that is, a position of a gaze of the driver on the windshield. The target area may represent a certain area on the windshield. For example, after acquiring the gaze direction and position of the driver by a camera, the acquired data is transmitted to a controller of the vehicle. The controller may determine the viewpoint position of the driver, and determine an area on the windshield by using this viewpoint position as the center and a preset distance as the radius. The positions within this area can be determined as the target areas.

[0070] The beneficial effects of this configuration are that the target area is determined according to the viewpoint position, thus, the information can be more accurately displayed in the optimal field of view of the driver, and thus the driving experience can be improved.

[0071] In the present embodiment, the determining the target area on the windshield according to the viewpoint position includes: determining, on the windshield, an area centered on the viewpoint position and having a preset distance as a radius, as the target area.

[0072] Exemplary, firstly, eye-tracking technology is used to capture a gaze direction and a gaze point of the driver and transmit the acquired data to the controller of the vehicle, which analyzes the data to calculate a viewpoint position of the driver, i.e., an intersection point of the gaze on the windshield. After determining the viewpoint position, a circular or elliptical area centered at the viewpoint position with a radius of preset distance may be defined on the windshield. The size and shape of this area may be adjusted according to a design of the vehicle, a preference of the driver, and a type of information to be displayed. The selected radius may be adjusted for different vehicles and individuals to ensure that the information falls within a natural field of view of the driver without obstructing the view of the road. When displaying information at the target area, the information may be displayed at different positions within the defined circular or elliptical area according to the type and importance of the information. By flexibly selecting the position within this circular or elliptical area, dynamic adjustment of information display may be realized to adapt to changes in the gaze of the driver and driving environment.

[0073] The beneficial effects of this configuration are that through determining an area, i.e., the target area, according to the viewpoint position, it can ensure that the information is always within the field of view of the driver, while by dynamically adjusting the position of the information display, the driving safety and comfort can be improved.

[0074] S404, displaying the vehicle operation data at the target area on the windshield.

[0075] Exemplary, the present step may refer to foregoing Step S203, which will not be repeated herein.

[0076] In the present embodiment, the optical assembly is provided at a preset position in a vehicle instrument panel.

[0077] Exemplary, the optical assembly is configured to reflect the vehicle operation data onto the windshield. There is a plurality of optical assemblies, which are compact and do not occupy extra space, provided at a front surface and a top surface in the vehicle instrument panel, and thus it is possible to ensure that information is displayed within a natural field of view of the driver. This design may enable the information displaying within the optimal field of view of the driver, reducing shift of gaze of the driver when acquiring information, and thus the driving safety can be improved. In a closed state, the assembly may be hidden in the instrument panel, not directly visible, nor indirectly visible through the windshield. When in an open state, the driver may see the light beam emitted from the optical assembly, and the optical assembly may project the light beam into a display area of the entire windshield.

[0078] The beneficial effects of this configuration are that through the design of the optical assembly, it is conducive to save space, reduce weight, improve mounting flexibility, reduce the impact on vehicle interior design, and improve the integration and aesthetics of the system.

[0079] The data display method, apparatus, and storage medium of a vehicle are provided by the present disclosure.
