[0001] SILICONE-FREE HAIR OIL

[0002] The invention relates to silicone-free hair oils comprising a linear or branched alkane having 8 to 19 carbon atoms, an oil thickener and at least one highly spreading emollient having at least one ether group, as well as the use of the hair oils for hair care.

[0003] Hair conditioners are primarily based on so-called quats (quaternary ammonium compounds), silicones, fatty alcohols, and polymers. In the field of hair cosmetics, conditioning hair oils have also been developed in recent years. These oils are used as "leave-on" products, meaning they remain on the hair after application without subsequent rinsing.

[0004] For the consumer, the use of hair oils for hair care is beneficial because it saves time and water compared to the use of classic hair conditioners.

[0016] A first subject of the invention is therefore a silicone-free hair oil which contains a) at least one linear or branched alkane having 8 to 19 carbon atoms b) at least one oil thickener c) at least one highly spreading emollient different from b), wherein the emollient comprises at least one ether group.

[0017] The combination of specific alkanes, high- or fast-spreading emollients and oil thickeners enables the provision of silicone-free hair oils with increased viscosity and improved feel, which ensure non-weighty intensive hair care and are completely biodegradable.

3. Silicone-free hair oil according to one of the preceding claims, containing at least one alkane a) in a weight proportion of 10-90 wt.% of the total weight of the hair oil.

4. Silicone-free hair oil according to one of the preceding claims, containing as oil thickener b) at least one oligomer ester (i), wherein the oligomer ester (i) contains at least one oligomer ester of a hydroxylated fatty acid triglyceride and a saturated diacid.

5. Silicone-free hair oil according to one of the preceding claims, containing the oil thickener b) in a weight proportion of 0.1-30 wt.% of the total weight of the hair oil.

6. Silicone-free hair oil according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the at least one high-spreading emollient c) comprises 2-20 PPG moieties.

7. Silicone-free hair oil according to one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the at least one high-spreading emollient c) contains at least one of the compounds known under the INCI names Ethyl PG-Acetal Levulinate, Ethyl Glycerin-Acetal Levulinate, Dicaprylyl Ether or mixtures thereof.

8. Silicone-free hair oil according to one of the preceding claims, containing the emollient c) in a weight proportion of 1-50 wt.% of the total weight of the hair oil.

Silicone-free hair oil according to one of the preceding claims, additionally containing • at least one vegetable oil d) in a proportion of 0.1-30% by weight of the total weight of the hair oil and / or • at least one ester oil other than b), c) and d) in a proportion of 0.1-30% by weight of the total weight of the hair oil.

10. Use of a silicone-free hair oil according to any one of the preceding claims, comprising applying the hair oil to the hair and leaving it on the hair.
