Description

[0001] Sheet pile module and sheet pile wall

[0002] The invention relates to a sheet pile module and a sheet pile wall with several sheet pile modules.

[0003] Sheet piles and sheet pile walls with sheet piles are generally known from the state of the art, for example, from DE 20 2016 101 909 U1. Driving sheet piles into a subsurface, such as soil, typically requires considerable forces. Due to these large forces, installing sheet pile walls also generally requires a high energy requirement.

[0004] Another problem that occurs with conventional sheet piles and sheet pile walls is that the sheet piles and other elements used for a sheet pile wall often have to be transported over long distances to the site.

[0005] Transport usually requires a lot of space, which means that transporting the materials needed for the sheet pile wall can be logistically complex and result in high costs.

[0006] Another problem with sheet piles and sheet piling is that even small deviations in the positioning of the

[0007] Elements of the sheet pile wall from a target position or small deviations in the dimensions of the elements required for the sheet pile wall from the target dimensions can be problematic, since in such cases a high level of labor is regularly required and additional material is needed.

[0008] The invention is therefore based on the object of providing an improved solution that addresses the aforementioned problems. In particular, the object of the invention is to provide a solution that enables greater flexibility and more variation options in the installation of sheet pile walls, while also reducing the space required for transporting the elements required for the sheet pile wall.

[0009] According to a first aspect, the object is achieved by a sheet pile module having the features of claim 1. According to this, a sheet pile module for a sheet pile wall is provided, the sheet pile module comprising a first outer sheet pile, a second outer sheet pile, and a sheet pile element, wherein the sheet pile element is arranged between the first outer sheet pile and the second outer sheet pile and is connected to the first outer sheet pile and the second outer sheet pile. The sheet pile element has a first connecting element and a second connecting element and a central section arranged between the first connecting element and the second connecting element, wherein the sheet pile element has a longitudinal extension running parallel to a driving direction. The first connecting element has a straight section extending in a direction transverse to the longitudinal extension along a straight line, wherein the straight section has a first inner side and a first outer side. The first connecting element has a connecting section for establishing a connection between the first connecting element and a sheet pile, wherein the connecting section has a second inner side and a second outer side, wherein an outer circular arc-shaped transition section is arranged between the first outer side and the second outer side, wherein the first outer side and the second outer side are arranged substantially orthogonally to one another transversely to the longitudinal extent, wherein an inner circular arc-shaped transition section is arranged between the first inner side and the second inner side, wherein the first inner side and the second inner side enclose an angle of less than 90°, wherein the first connecting element has a depth orthogonal to the straight line transversely to the longitudinal extent, wherein the connecting section has a minimum width extension adjacent to the transition section and a maximum width extension in the direction parallel to the straight line, wherein the maximum width extension is at most a factor of 3 greater than the minimum width extension. A driving direction is understood to mean, in particular, the direction in which a sheet pile wall, and thus also the components extending along a sheet pile wall, is driven into the subsoil, in particular by driving the sheet pile wall into the ground. In the majority of cases, the driving direction is perpendicular to the ground surface. The driving direction is therefore usually vertical in the installed state. However, there are also driving directions that run parallel to the horizontal, for example when sheet pile walls or sheet piles for sheet pile walls are driven into mountains or hills. For example, to support a tunnel. The driving direction corresponds in particular to the longitudinal direction of the sheet pile wall. If the sheet pile module is part of a sheet pile wall, the longitudinal direction of the sheet pile module preferably runs parallel to the longitudinal direction of the sheet pile wall.

[0010] In the context of the present disclosure, a longitudinal extension or a longitudinal extension direction or a longitudinal axis of a sheet pile module or a sheet pile or a sheet pile element is understood to mean the extension of the respective object in the driving direction.

[0011] It is preferred within the scope of the present disclosure if the cross section of the sheet pile element and the cross section of the first and second outer sheet piles are each substantially constant along the longitudinal extent or longitudinal extension direction.

[0012] It is preferred that the sheet pile element and the first and second outer sheet piles each comprise or consist of steel.

[0013] The first connecting element of the sheet pile element is designed in particular in such a way that it cannot form a positive connection with an identically shaped connecting element.

[0014] The second connecting element of the sheet pile element is designed in particular in such a way that it cannot form a positive connection with an identically shaped connecting element.

[0015] It is particularly preferred that the second connecting element of the sheet pile element is designed like the first connecting element of the sheet pile element. The connecting section of the first connecting element of the sheet pile element is preferably designed as a male connecting section. The connecting section is particularly designed to form a connection with an interlock of an adjacent Larssen sheet pile. A Larssen interlock is understood to mean, in particular, a hook strip into which a hook strip of a sheet pile of the sheet pile wall can engage, wherein the hook strip extends in an arc from a web of the connecting element and is provided with a mouth opening between the web and the end section.

[0016] The connecting section of the first connecting element of the sheet pile element preferably has a quasi-triangular cross-section transverse to the longitudinal extent, wherein in particular one corner of the triangle is rounded, one corner of the triangle is bevelled and one corner lies in the region of the transition region.

[0017] The outer, circular-arc-shaped transition section is formed in a circular arc, in particular transverse to the longitudinal extent. The inner, circular-arc-shaped transition section is formed in a circular arc, in particular transverse to the longitudinal extent. The first inner side and the second inner side preferably form an acute angle, in particular an angle of less than 90°, transverse to the longitudinal extent. As a result, the connecting section widens from the transition section toward the second end section. The angle is to be understood in particular as the angle between the direction of the extension of the first inner side transverse to the longitudinal extent and the direction of the extension of the second inner side transverse to the longitudinal extent.

[0018] An advantage of the sheet pile module described here, which has a sheet pile element with a first and a second connecting element, is that the first and the second connecting element can each be connected to one of the sheet piles and then form a positive connection with the sheet pile that has a relatively small number of gaps. As a result, when the sheet pile module is driven in and the sheet pile element is connected to the sheet piles, relatively little soil material, such as earth, gets into the gaps in the connection between the connecting element and the sheet pile. Due to the small number of gaps, the sheet pile module can be inserted into the subsoil with relatively little effort and therefore with relatively little energy expenditure.A further advantage is that such sheet pile modules can be used relatively flexibly and, by means of the first and second connecting elements of the sheet pile element of the sheet pile module, deviations from the target positions and deviations from the target dimensions of the elements of a sheet pile wall to be installed can be compensated.

[0019] A further advantage is that the space required for transporting the sheet pile elements of such sheet pile modules is relatively small.

[0020] A further advantage is the straight, non-hooked cross-sectional shape of the first, and possibly also the second, connecting element of the sheet pile element of the sheet pile module, by means of which particularly strong and yet flexible connections with known connecting interfaces of sheet piles can be produced in a surprising way.

[0021] It is particularly preferred that the first connecting element of the sheet pile element and the second connecting element of the sheet pile element are arranged at opposite ends of the central section of the sheet pile element.

[0022] It is particularly preferred that the first connecting element of the sheet pile element and the second connecting element of the sheet pile element are formed integrally with the central portion of the sheet pile element.

[0023] Preferably, the first connecting element of the sheet pile element, the second connecting element of the sheet pile element, and the central section of the sheet pile element are formed from a flat metal component. Alternatively, however, it is also possible for the first connecting element and the second connecting element to be manufactured separately from the central section and subsequently connected to the central section, for example by welding.

[0024] It is particularly preferred that the maximum width extension is at most 2.5 times greater than the minimum width extension, preferably at most 2.2 times, particularly preferably at most 2.1 times, in particular at most 2 times. It is particularly preferred that the angle between the first inner side and the second inner side is less than 75°, preferably less than 65°, particularly preferably less than 60°, and at least 45°, preferably at least 50°, particularly preferably at least 52°. The angle is to be understood in particular as the angle formed by the extension of the first inner side transversely to the direction of the longitudinal extension and by the extension of the second inner side transversely to the direction of the longitudinal extension. It is particularly preferred if the first inner side and the second inner side are aligned at an angle of 55° to one another.

[0025] It is particularly preferred that the first inner side and the first outer side are arranged parallel to each other.

[0026] It is particularly preferred that the straight section extends from the transition section in the direction of the straight line, wherein the straight section preferably has no curvature relative to the straight line.

[0027] It is particularly preferred that the outer circular-arc-shaped transition section describes a circular arc section of a quarter circle transversely to the longitudinal extent. Preferably, the two ends of the outer circular-arc-shaped transition section extend orthogonally to each other.

[0028] It is particularly preferred that the second outer side extends straight from the outer circular-arc-shaped transition section to a chamfer of the connecting section. The second outer side therefore preferably extends transversely to the direction of the longitudinal extent, preferably without curvature, or orthogonal to the straight line. A chamfer is understood in particular to be a beveled surface created by machining the edge of a workpiece. The chamfer serves in particular to ensure that the resulting shape of the connecting element enables good engagement in a connecting section of a sheet pile. In addition, the chamfer avoids a sharp edge, thereby reducing the risk of injury during handling.

[0029] Preferably, the second outer side extends transversely to the longitudinal extent along at least half the length of the depth. Preferably, the second outer side extends transversely to the longitudinal extent along a section corresponding to at least half the length of the depth, straight and without curves. It is particularly preferred that the connecting section has an end section that preferably runs parallel to the straight line.

[0030] Preferably, the end portion extends from the chamfer to a further circular arc-shaped portion, wherein the chamfer is connected to the second outer side and the further circular arc-shaped portion is connected to the second inner side.

[0031] It is particularly preferred that the first outer sheet pile is designed as a U-sheet pile and / or wherein the second outer sheet pile is designed as a U-sheet pile.

[0032] A U-sheet pile is understood in particular to be a sheet pile that has a substantially U-shaped cross-section. In particular, a U-sheet pile has a straight central section and two further sections extending from the central section, namely the first and the second section, which can also be referred to as flanges. The first section preferably extends substantially straight and is preferably oriented at an angle of more than 90° and less than 160° to the central section. The second section preferably extends substantially straight and is preferably oriented at an angle of more than 90° and less than 160° to the central section.

[0033] Preferably, the first outer sheet pile is arranged so as to be curved outward relative to a central extension line of the sheet pile module. The central extension line preferably runs centrally through the sheet pile element.

[0034] Preferably, the second outer sheet pile is arranged so as to be curved outwards relative to the central extension line of the sheet pile module.

[0035] Preferably, the open sides of the first outer sheet pile and the second outer sheet pile are aligned with the centerline. The open side of a U-shaped sheet pile refers to the side where the U-shaped sheet pile is open.

[0036] It is particularly preferred that the first outer sheet pile and the second outer sheet pile are of identical design, wherein the first outer sheet pile and the second outer sheet pile are arranged rotated by 180° relative to one another with respect to the longitudinal extent. It is particularly preferred that the first outer sheet pile is designed such that a first coupling means extending parallel to the longitudinal extent is arranged on a first section of the first outer sheet pile and a second coupling means extending along the longitudinal extent is arranged on a second section of the first outer sheet pile, wherein the second coupling means of the first outer sheet pile is positively connected to the first connecting element of the sheet pile element.

[0037] Preferably, a middle section of the first outer sheet pile extends between the first section and the second section of the first outer sheet pile. Preferably, a middle section of the second outer sheet pile extends between the first section and the second section of the second outer sheet pile.

[0038] It is particularly preferred that the second outer sheet pile is designed such that a first coupling means extending parallel to the longitudinal extent is arranged on a first section of the second outer sheet pile and a second coupling means extending along the longitudinal extent is arranged on a second section of the second outer sheet pile, wherein the first coupling means of the second outer sheet pile is positively connected to the second connecting element of the sheet pile element.

[0039] It is particularly preferred that the sheet pile element is formed transversely to the longitudinal extent substantially corresponding to a Z-sheet pile and / or substantially Z-shaped.

[0040] A Z-shaped sheet pile, which can also be referred to as a Z-shaped sheet pile or a Z-sheet pile, is to be understood in particular as a sheet pile which has a cross-section with a shape similar to the letter Z. In particular, if the sheet pile element is designed transversely to the longitudinal extent essentially corresponding to a Z-sheet pile and / or essentially Z-shaped, it has two straight sections, which can also be referred to as flanges and which are aligned parallel to one another, namely the first section and the second section of the sheet pile element, and a central section which runs obliquely to the first and the second section and which is preferably also straight.According to a further aspect, the object mentioned at the outset is achieved by a sheet pile wall comprising a plurality of sheet pile modules as described here, wherein the sheet pile modules are arranged next to one another along a sheet pile wall extension direction and are each connected to the adjacent sheet pile modules, preferably by means of connecting components, particularly preferably in the form of omega-shaped connecting components.

[0041] Preferably, each of the sheet pile modules consists of the first outer sheet pile of the sheet pile module and the second outer sheet pile of the sheet pile module, as well as the sheet pile element of the sheet pile module. Thus, each of the sheet pile modules preferably has exactly three elements, namely the first outer sheet pile, the second outer sheet pile, and the sheet pile element arranged between the first outer sheet pile and the second outer sheet pile. An advantage of such sheet pile modules is that no additional components are required for the sheet pile module, which simplifies handling and reduces costs.

[0042] For the advantages, design variants and design details of the various aspects of the solutions described here and their respective possible further developments, reference is also made to the description of the corresponding features, details and advantages of the other aspects and their further developments.

[0056] Fig. 1 shows a cross-sectional view of a sheet pile module 1. The sheet pile module 1 comprises a first outer sheet pile 2, a second outer sheet pile 3, and a sheet pile element 10. The sheet pile element 10 is arranged between the first outer sheet pile 2 and the second outer sheet pile 3 and is connected to the first outer sheet pile 2 and the second outer sheet pile 3.

[0057] The sheet pile element 10 comprises a first connecting element 10a and a second connecting element 10e, and a central section 10c arranged between the first connecting element 10a and the second connecting element 10e. The sheet pile element 10 has a longitudinal extension L running parallel to a driving direction E, wherein this longitudinal extension L is also the longitudinal extension of the sheet pile module 1. The sheet pile element 10 is essentially Z-shaped in cross-section, i.e., essentially designed as a Z-shaped sheet pile. The first outer sheet pile 2 and the second outer sheet pile 3 are designed as U-shaped sheet piles. The first outer sheet pile 2 and the second outer sheet pile 3 are arranged so as to be curved outwards with respect to the central extension line S of the sheet pile module 1, so that the open sides 2o, 3o of the first outer sheet pile 2 and the second outer sheet pile 3 point in the direction of the central extension line S of the sheet pile module 1.

[0058] The first outer sheet pile 2 is designed such that a first coupling means 2a extending parallel to the longitudinal extent is arranged on a first section 2b of the first outer sheet pile 2, and a second coupling means 2e extending along the longitudinal extent is arranged on a second section 2d of the first outer sheet pile 2, wherein the second coupling means 2e of the first outer sheet pile 2 is positively connected to the first connecting element 10a of the sheet pile element 10. A central section 2c of the first outer sheet pile 2 extends between the first section 2b and the second section 2d of the first outer sheet pile 2.The second outer sheet pile 3 is designed such that a first coupling means 3a extending parallel to the longitudinal extent is arranged on a first section 3b of the second outer sheet pile 3, and a second coupling means 3e extending along the longitudinal extent is arranged on a second section 3d of the second outer sheet pile 3, wherein the first coupling means 3a of the second outer sheet pile 3 is positively connected to the second connecting element 10e of the sheet pile element 10. A central section 3c of the second outer sheet pile 3 extends between the first section 3b and the second section 3d of the second outer sheet pile 3.

[0059] Fig. 2a shows a cross-sectional view of a connecting element 10a, 10e of a sheet pile element 10 of a sheet pile module 1. Each of the sheet pile modules 1 shown in the figures (see Figs. 1, 2, 4b, 5b, 6 and 8) has a sheet pile element 10 which has two connecting elements 10a, 10e, namely the first connecting element 10a and the second connecting element 10e, wherein the connecting elements 10a, 10e are each formed as described in connection with Fig. 2. The connecting element 10a, 10e has a straight section 20 which extends in a direction transverse to the longitudinal extent L along a straight line G. The straight section 20 has a first inner side 21 and a first outer side 22. The first connecting element 10a has a connecting portion 30 for establishing a connection between the first connecting element 10a and a sheet pile. The connecting section 30 has a second inner side 31 and a second outer side 32, with an outer circular arc-shaped transition section 34 being arranged between the first outer side 22 and the second outer side 32. The first outer side 22 and the second outer side 32 are arranged transversely to the longitudinal extent L, substantially orthogonal to one another. An inner circular arc-shaped transition section 33 is arranged between the first inner side 21 and the second inner side 31. The first inner side 21 and the second inner side 31 form an angle x of less than 90°. The first connecting element 10a has a depth A, transversely to the longitudinal extent L, orthogonal to the straight line G. In the direction parallel to the straight line G, the connecting section 30 has a minimum width extension C adjacent to the transition section 33 and a maximum width extension D. The maximum width extension D is larger than the minimum width extension C by a factor of 2.The angle x between the first inner side 21 and the second inner side 31 is 55°. The straight section 20 extends from the transition section 40 in the direction of the straight line G. The straight section 20 has no curvature relative to the straight line G. The outer circular arc-shaped transition section 34 describes a circular arc section of a quarter circle transversely to the longitudinal extent L. The two ends of the outer circular arc-shaped transition section run orthogonal to one another. The second outer side 32 extends from the outer circular arc-shaped transition section straight up to a chamfer 36 of the connecting section 30. The second outer side 32 extends transversely to the longitudinal extent L along a straight section that is longer than half the length of the depth A. The connecting section 30 has an end section 35 that runs parallel to the straight line G.The end section 35 extends from the chamfer 36 to a further circular arc-shaped section 37.

[0060] Fig. 2b shows a perspective view of the connecting element 10a, 10e of a sheet pile element of a sheet pile module shown in Fig. 2a. The

[0061] Connecting element 10a, 10e extends along the longitudinal extent L.

[0062] Fig. 3 shows a cross-sectional view of a sheet pile module. The sheet pile module 1 shown in Fig. 3 is basically designed like the sheet pile module shown in Fig. 1, with the difference that the second outer sheet pile module 3 is rotated by 180°, so that the open side 3o of the second outer sheet pile module 3 points away from the central extension line S of the sheet pile module 1. For this reason, the sheet pile element 10 is also designed accordingly, so that the second connecting element 10e of the sheet pile element 10 is arranged with a corresponding orientation. The first connecting element 10a and the second connecting element are designed as described in connection with Fig. 2.

[0063] Fig. 4a shows a cross-sectional view of a sheet pile element 10 for a sheet pile module 1. The sheet pile element 10 has a straight central section 10c. The first connecting element 10a and the second connecting element 10e are connected to the central section 10c. In the exemplary embodiment of the sheet pile element 10 shown here, the connecting elements 10a, 10e were subsequently connected to the central section 10c—in contrast to the sheet pile elements shown in Figs. 1, 3, 5a, 5b, 6, and 8.

[0064] Fig. 4b shows a cross-sectional view of a sheet pile module 1 with a sheet pile element 10 as shown in Fig. 4a. The structure of the sheet pile module 1 corresponds to the structure described in connection with Fig. 1. For details on the structure, reference is made to the description of Fig. 1. For details on the first and second connecting elements 10a, 10e, reference is also made to the explanations in connection with Fig. 2a.

[0065] Fig. 5a shows a cross-sectional view of a sheet pile element 10 for a sheet pile module 1. The sheet pile element 10 has a thickness t that is constant along the transverse extent, with the exception of the connecting sections of the connecting elements 10a, 10e.

[0066] Fig. 5b shows a cross-sectional view of a sheet pile module 1 with a sheet pile element 10 as shown in Fig. 5a. The structure of the sheet pile module 1 corresponds to the structure described in connection with Fig. 1. For details on the structure, reference is made to the description of Fig. 1. For details on the first and second connecting elements 10a, 10e, reference is also made to the explanations in connection with Fig. 2a.

[0067] Fig. 6 shows a cross-sectional view of a sheet pile wall 50 with several sheet pile modules 1, which are arranged side by side along the sheet pile wall extension direction R and are connected to one another. Omega-shaped connecting components 60 are used to connect the sheet pile modules 1 to one another. All first and second outer sheet piles 2, 3 of the sheet pile modules 1 are arranged so as to be curved outward relative to the central extension line S.

[0068] Fig. 7 shows a cross-sectional view of a sheet pile element 10 for a sheet pile module. The central section 10c of the sheet pile element 10 has a thickness tc. The straight sections 20 of the first and second connecting elements 10a, 10e of the sheet pile element 10 each have a thickness tb, td. The thicknesses tb and tc are each less than the thickness tc.

[0069] Fig. 8 shows a cross-sectional view of a sheet pile module 1. In this sheet pile module 1, in contrast to the other sheet pile modules 1 described, Z-sheet piles 102, 103, rather than U-sheet piles, are used for the first outer sheet pile and the second outer sheet pile. The first outer sheet pile 102 is designed such that a first coupling means 102a extending parallel to the longitudinal extent is arranged on a first section 102b of the first outer sheet pile 102 and a second coupling means 102e extending along the longitudinal extent is arranged on a second section 102d of the first outer sheet pile 102, wherein the second coupling means 102e of the first outer sheet pile 102 is positively connected to the first connecting element 110a of the sheet pile element 110.A central section 102c of the first outer sheet pile 102 extends between the first section 102b and the second section 102d of the first outer sheet pile 102. The second outer sheet pile 103 is designed such that a first coupling means 103a extending parallel to the longitudinal extent is arranged on a first section 103b of the second outer sheet pile 103 and a second coupling means 103e extending along the longitudinal extent is arranged on a second section 103d of the second outer sheet pile 103, wherein the first coupling means 103a of the second outer sheet pile 103 is positively connected to the second connecting element 110e of the sheet pile element 110. A middle section 103c of the second outer sheet pile 103 extends between the first section 103b and the second section 103d of the second outer sheet pile 103. The sheet pile element 110 also has a middle section 10c.
