In accordance with embodiments, a system and method are provided for real-time customizable leaderboards. The system includes a memory and a processor configured to execute programmed instructions for facilitating the creation of various types of leaderboards, monitoring user activities and data on a real-time basis, determining eligibility conditions based on monitored data, generating various types of rankings and allocating rewards based on user data and conditions, and displaying various types of rankings and rewards for various leaderboards to eligible users. The system also includes functionalities to maintain user eligibility for a leaderboard until it ends, display the leaderboard to both eligible and ineligible users with a message on how to become eligible, and exclude a user from the leaderboard if they perform an activity that makes them ineligible. The leaderboards can be created for a variety of services including single player games, multiplayer games, card games, physics-based deterministic games, and fantasy leagues.

A system (102) for providing real-time customizable leaderboards, the system (102) comprising: a memory (206); and a processor (202), wherein the processor is configured to execute programmed instructions stored in the memory for: facilitating, by a leaderboard creation module (212), creation of various types of leaderboards; monitoring, by a user data monitoring module (214), various user activities and various types of data on a real-time basis; determining, by a user profiling module (216), various eligibility conditions based on monitored data; generating, by a ranking module (218), various types of rankings and allocating various types of rewards based on user data and conditions; and displaying, by a display module (220), various types of rankings and various amounts of rewards for various leaderboards to eligible users.
2. The system of claim 1, wherein the leaderboard creation module (212) is configured to facilitate creation of a plurality of leaderboards based on predefined parameters including leaderboard duration, start time, end time, prize money, and eligibility conditions.
3. The system of claim 2, wherein the user data monitoring module (214) is configured to monitor user activities and gameplay data associated with a plurality of users on a real-time basis.

The system of claim 3, wherein the user profiling module (216) is configured to determine eligibility of each user from the plurality of users for one or more leaderboards from the plurality of leaderboards based on the monitored user activities and gameplay data and a set of predefined criterions, wherein the set of predefined criterions comprise number of activities, number of wins, and wagering amount.

The system of claim 4, wherein the ranking module (218) is configured to generate rankings for the plurality of users and allocate prizes to eligible users based on their activities, gameplay data, and satisfaction of eligibility conditions, and wherein the display module is configured to display the rankings and prize money for the one or more leaderboards to the eligible users in real-time.
6. The system of claim 6, wherein the leaderboards is created for a plethora of services including single player games, multiplayer games, card games, physics based deterministic games, fantasy leagues, etc.

A method for providing real-time customizable leaderboards, the method comprising: facilitating, by a leaderboard creation module (212), creation of various types of leaderboards; monitoring, by a user data monitoring module (214), various user activities and various types of data on a real-time basis; determining, by a user profiling module (216), various eligibility conditions based on monitored data; generating, by a ranking module (218), various types of rankings and allocating various types of rewards based on user data and conditions; and displaying, by a display module (220), various types of rankings and various amounts of rewards for various leaderboards to eligible users.

The method of claim 11, wherein facilitating creation of leaderboards includes facilitating creation of a plurality of leaderboards based on predefined parameters including leaderboard duration, start time, end time, prize money, and eligibility conditions, wherein monitoring user activities and data on a real-time basis includes monitoring user activities and gameplay data associated with a plurality of users on a real-time basis, wherein determining user eligibility based on monitored data includes determining eligibility of each user from the plurality of users for one or more leaderboards from the plurality of leaderboards based on the monitored user activities and gameplay data, wherein generating rankings and allocating rewards based on user data and conditions includes generating rankings for the plurality of users and allocating prizes to eligible users based on their activities, gameplay data, and satisfaction of eligibility conditions, wherein displaying rankings and rewards forleaderboards to eligible users includes displaying the rankings and prize money for the one or more leaderboards to the eligible users in real-time.
9. The method of claim 12, further comprising collating a subset of users based on their previous encounters in one or more historical contests and displaying the subset of users on the leaderboard along with the ranking of the subset of users.
