Description

LOUDSPEAKER MOUNT AND LOUDSPEAKER ASSEMBLYTECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present disclosure is generally directed to a loudspeaker mount and a loudspeaker assembly comprising a loudspeaker mount and a loudspeaker mounted to the loudspeaker mount.BACKGROUND

[0002] In performance environments, such as concert halls, outdoor stages, or theater venues, it is crucial to position loudspeakers in specific patterns and orient them at desired directions or angles to achieve optimal sound distribution and enhance the audience's audio experience. To ensure an effective setup, it is necessary that the loudspeakers can be quickly and securely mounted, while allowing for easy adjustments in direction and angle. Additionally, it is essential that these loudspeakers can be dismantled rapidly and stored conveniently after performances.

[0003] Most existing mounts lack the necessary flexibility, making it challenging to quickly adjust the orientation or angle of loudspeakers to suit varied acoustic environments and audience layouts. Furthermore, traditional loudspeaker mounts typically involve complex and time-consuming setup and dismantling processes. Additionally, conventional loudspeaker mounts are often bulky and cannot be easily stored in a space-saving manner.

[0004] Therefore, there is a need for a new loudspeaker mount that can address at least some of the above limitations.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0019] To clarify the use in the pending claims and to hereby provide notice to the public, the phrases “at least one of , , ... and <N>” or “at least one of , , ... <N>, or combinations thereof” are defined by the Applicant in the broadest sense, superseding any other implied definitions herebefore or hereinafter unless expressly asserted by the Applicant to the contrary, to mean one or more elements selected from the group comprising A, B, ... and N, that is to say, any combination of one or more of the elements A, B, ... or N including any one element alone or in combination with one or more of the other elements which may also include, in combination, additional elements not listed.

[0020] The present disclosure provides a loudspeaker mount comprising a frame structure, at least one first supporting member, and an adjustable supporting member. The first supporting member is mounted on the frame structure and adapted to support a loudspeaker, and the adjustable supporting member is also mounted on the frame structure and pivotable about a pivotal point relative to the frame structure. The adjustable supporting member comprises a plurality of supporting portions, each located at a different distance from the pivotal point, wherein the pivotal movement of the adjustable supporting member enables one of the plurality of supporting portions to align with and support the loudspeaker.

[0021] The first supporting member is suitable to support a first portion of a  loudspeaker, such as a front end or portion of the loudspeaker. The adjustable supporting member is suitable to support a second portion of the loudspeaker, such as a rear end or portion of the loudspeaker. Thereby, selectively engaging the loudspeaker with one of the plurality of supporting portions of the adjustable supporting member enables the loudspeaker to be supported at different orientations or angles.

[0022] According to one or more embodiments, each of the supporting portions comprises a supporting surface and a through hole adjacent to the supporting surface. According to one or more other embodiments, the supporting surface of each supporting portion comprises a recessed portion, each recessed portion being located in the same position relative to its corresponding through hole.

[0023] When a corresponding structure of a loudspeaker engages the supporting surface of the supporting portions, it may automatically position itself into the recessed portion of the supporting surface, allowing for proper alignment of the structure of the loudspeaker relative to the supporting surface and the corresponding hole. Once properly positioned or aligned, a pin may be inserted through the through hole in the supporting portion and a correspondingly aligned through hole in the loudspeaker. This configuration facilitates an easy alignment between the loudspeaker and the adjustable supporting member of the loudspeaker mount, and thereby an easy and secure connection therebetween.

[0024] According to one or more embodiments, the frame structure comprises a first bar extending in a first direction and a second bar extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, with the first bar being connected at its first end to a midpoint of the second bar, thus forming the T-shape of the frame structure.

[0025] This T-shaped design of the frame structure offers several advantages, including lightweight construction, enhanced structural strength and support of the loudspeaker, and ease of storage.

[0026] According to one or more embodiments, the adjustable supporting member is detachably connected to the frame structure. the loudspeaker mount has a deployed configuration in which the adjustable supporting member is positioned upright from the loudspeaker mount, and a storage configuration in which the adjustable supporting member lies flat on the loudspeaker mount. This storage configuration not only facilitates compact storage but also provides enhanced protection for the adjustable supporting member.

[0027] Fig. 1A illustrates a loudspeaker mount 100 according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure. The loudspeaker mount 100 comprises a frame structure 110. The frame structure 110 is of a T-shape, and comprises a first bar 112 and a second bar 130. The first bar 112 has a U-shaped cross-section and comprises a bottom wall and two side walls extending upward from the bottom wall. The second bar 130 also has a U-shaped cross-section and comprises a bottom wall and two side walls extending upward from the bottom wall. The first bar 112 extends in the first direction from its first end 114a to its second end 114b, and the second bar 130 extends in the second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction from its first end 132a to its second end 132b. The first bar 112 is connected, at its first end 114a, to a midpoint of the second bar, thus forming the T-shape of the frame structure 110. The first bar 112 may be connected to the second bar 130 by means of any suitable manner, such as by welding. In one or more other embodiments, the frame structure 110 is not limited to the T-shape as shown, but may have any suitable shape or structure.

[0028] The loudspeaker mount 100 further comprises two supporting plates 140, each provided at one of the first and second ends 132a, 132b of the second bar 130. The supporting plates 140 are suitable to be connected to and to support a loudspeaker. Each of the supporting plates comprises a connection feature, such as a hole 142, for connecting to a corresponding connection feature of the loudspeaker, such as a pin or post of the loudspeaker. In one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, the supporting plates 140 may take any suitable form or shape and may be referred to as a  first supporting member.

[0029] The loudspeaker mount 100 further comprises an adjustable supporting member 160. The adjustable supporting member 160 is pivotably connected via a pivotal point at its lower end to the first bar 112 at or near its second end 114b. The adjustable supporting member 160 is of a plate shape and comprises a front edge 162a and a rear edge 162b. The adjustable supporting member 160 is provided with a plurality of supporting portions 170 along its front edge 162a. Each supporting portion 170 is at a different distance from its pivot point at the lower end of the adjustable supporting member 160. During operation, the adjustable supporting member 160 may pivot around its pivot point, allowing one of the plurality of supporting portions 170 to align with a corresponding portion of the loudspeaker to support the loudspeaker. The different distances of the adjustable supporting member 160 to the pivotal point allow it to support the loudspeaker mount at different heights. In one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, the supporting plates 140 are configured to support a front end of a loudspeaker at a fixed height while the adjustable supporting member 160 is configured to support a rear end of the loudspeaker at different heights. In this way, the loudspeaker may be supported at different orientations or angles.

[0030] In the embodiments shown, the first bar 110 comprises mounting plates 120, to which the adjustable supporting member 160 is pivotably attached. In one or more other embodiments, the mounting plates 120 may have any suitable form or shape, provided that the adjustable supporting member 160 can be attached to the first bar 112 via the mounting plate 120. Alternatively, the adjustable supporting member 160 may be directly attached to the first bar 110.

[0031] The loudspeaker mount 100 further comprises a base supporting member 150. The base supporting member 150 is connected to an underside of the first bar 112, and configured to support the frame structure 110 from below. In the embodiments shown, the base supporting member 150 comprises a tube 152 and a screw 154. The tube 152  and screw 154 can be used to secure the loudspeaker mount 100 to a fixed structure. For example, the fixed structure may be a loudspeaker stand with a pole, and the pole of the loudspeaker stand may be inserted into the tube 152 and fastened by the screw 154, so that the loudspeaker mount 100 is secured to the loudspeaker stand. In one or more other embodiments, the base supporting member 150 may be any suitable supporting structure that may secure the loudspeaker mount 100 to a fixed structure.

[0032] Fig. 1B is an enlarged view of an area enclosed by the dashed rectangle 1B in Fig. 1A. The adjustable supporting member 160 is provided with a plurality of supporting portions 170 along its front edge 162a. In the embodiments shown, there are eight supporting portions 170, seven of which are visible in Fig. 1B. In one or more other embodiments, there may be any suitable number of supporting portions 170 in the adjustable supporting member 160. Each supporting portion 170 comprises a supporting surface 172 and a through hole 174 adjacent to the supporting surface 172. During operation, the adjustable supporting member 160 may be pivoted around the pivotal point at its lower end, allowing one of the supporting portions 170 to align with and support the loudspeaker. At this point, the supporting surface 172 of the aligned supporting portion 170 engages with and supports a corresponding portion of the loudspeaker. Once engaged, a pin can be inserted through the through hole 174 and a corresponding through hole in the loudspeaker, securing the loudspeaker to the adjustable supporting member 160, and thereby to the loudspeaker mount 100.

[0033] The supporting surface 172 of each supporting portion 170 of the adjustable supporting member 160 comprises a recessed portion 172a. When the supporting surface 172 engages with and supports a corresponding portion of the loudspeaker, the corresponding portion of the loudspeaker automatically positions itself into the recessed portion 172a, allowing for precise alignment of the loudspeaker relative to the supporting portion 170. Once the loudspeaker is precisely positioned relative to the supporting portion 170, the through hole 174 of the supporting portion 170 aligns with a corresponding through hole in the loudspeaker, thereby allowing the insertion of a pin through the aligned through holes. This recessed portion 172a in the  supporting surface 172 facilitates an easy alignment between the loudspeaker and the adjustable supporting member 160, and thereby an easy and secure connection. The adjustable supporting member 160 further comprises a central through hole 168.

[0034] Figs. 2A-2B illustrate a loudspeaker assembly 10 according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, where Fig. 2A illustrates a side view of the loudspeaker assembly 10 and Fig. 2B illustrates a perspective view of the loudspeaker assembly 10. The loudspeaker assembly 10 comprises a loudspeaker mount 100 and a loudspeaker 200 mounted to the loudspeaker mount 100. The loudspeaker 200 comprises a loudspeaker body 210 with a front side 212a and an opposite rear side 212b. During operation, sound generated by the loudspeaker 200 is emitted through the front side 212a. The loudspeaker body 210 is provided with two first connection structures 220, each provided at one of the lower corners of the front side 212a. The loudspeaker body 210 further comprises a second connection structure 240 at or near a lower edge of the rear side. The second connection structure 240 is suitable to be connected to the adjustable supporting member 160 of the loudspeaker mount 100. The loudspeaker body 210 is also provided with two third connection structures 230, each provided at one of the upper corners of the front side 212a. The third connection structures 230 are suitable to be connected to the first connection structures 220 of another loudspeaker 200 when necessary. In one or more other embodiments, the first connection structures 220, the second connection structure 240, and the third connection structures 230 may be provided at positions other than those shown in Figs. 2A-2B.

[0035] As shown, in the loudspeaker assembly 10, the loudspeaker 200 is mounted to the loudspeaker mount 100, with each of the first connection structures 220 connected to one connection feature of the supporting plate 140 of the loudspeaker mount 100. In one or more embodiments, each first connection structure 220 comprises a pin and a through hole, with the pin extending through the hole 142 in the supporting plate 140 and the through hole in the first connection structure 220, securing the loudspeaker 200 to the loudspeaker mount 100, while allowing the  loudspeaker 200 pivot about the pin relative to the loudspeaker mount 100.

[0036] The second connection structure 240 is connected to the adjustable supporting member 160 of the loudspeaker mount 100. As shown in Figs. 2A-2B, the second connection structure 240 is connected to the first (highest) supporting portion 170 of the adjustable supporting member 160. As discussed above, the second connection structure 240 is connected to one of the 8 supporting portions 170, allowing the loudspeaker 200 to be positioned and oriented in one of the eight possible orientations or angles.

[0037] Fig. 3A is a perspective view of the loudspeaker assembly 10 according to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, with the second connection structure 240 being connected to a middle supporting portion 170 of the adjustable supporting member 160. Fig. 3B is an enlarged view of an area enclosed by the dashed rectangle 3B in Fig. 3A. As shown, the second connection structure 240 comprises a spindle or stub 242 and a pin 244. When the second connection structure 240 engages the supporting surface 172 of the supporting portions 170, the spindle or stub 242 automatically positions itself into the recessed portion 172a of the supporting surface, allowing for precise alignment of the second connection structure 240 of the loudspeaker 200 relative to the supporting portion 170. Once the second connection structure 240 is precisely positioned relative to the supporting portion 170, the through hole 174 of the supporting portion 170 aligns with a corresponding through hole in the second connection structure 240, thereby allowing the insertion of the pin 244 through the aligned through holes. This configuration facilitates an easy alignment between the loudspeaker 200 and the adjustable supporting member 160, and thereby an easy and secure connection between the loudspeaker 200 and the loudspeaker mount 100.
