[0001] Paper container

[0002] The present invention deals with a transport system comprising an outer container and a paper container comprising a base body, which is made from a paper bag and comprises two opposite end faces, two opposite longitudinal sides, an upper side and an underside, and a longitudinal seam which extends between the two end faces along the upper side.

[0003] Nowadays, many everyday items are ordered from stores and supermarkets and then delivered to the customer by a carrier. This is particularly popular in cities, as shopping can be done with little effort and without having to search for parking spaces, which are usually rare. For this purpose, stores and supermarkets often have an online platform where the customer selects the desired products, for example fresh food such as fruit or vegetables, baked goods or canned goods, but also sanitary products, and places them in the virtual shopping cart.

[0004] The store or supermarket has reusable containers, which can also be called totes, preferably made of plastic, which are used to deliver the goods ordered. These containers are outer containers. The outer container is preferably in the form of a basket. It preferably has a rectangular base, which often has rounded comers. The base surface is preferably not solid, but has a large number of holes and openings and is therefore referred to as a basket. The base surface is surrounded by side surfaces, which may also have holes and openings. Such a basket is open at the top and preferably has no lid. This kind of paper container is known from prior art and is used for transporting bulk goods, like cement or concrete. Such paper container are frequently referred to as paper bags. The often come with a built-in valve that allows to introduce a powder material during filling. The valve is often located on one of the two end faces and can be closed after filling the paper bag so that the contents are protected against moisture and product spillage.

The layers of paper to be used are folded to form a tube, resulting in the longitudinal seam of the tube, which is then sealed using adhesive, for example. The tube, which is still in continuous form, is then cut into tube pieces of the desired length, each of which can be used to produce a paper bag. The two end faces of the paper bag are formed from the open ends of the paper tube by folding them into a bottom, for example a cross bottom, which is then also closed using an adhesive. This type of paper sack is generally used to package and transport bulk goods in the form of powder or granules, for example.

When the longitudinal seam is not positioned in the middle of the upper side, then the two parts of the upper side have different sizes. In this case it is advantageous when the at least one separation line, preferably both separation lines extend from the longitudinal seam along the larger of the two parts of the upper side. This results in a larger hinged flap and thus a larger opening once the at least one separation line has been used.

Especially preferred, there are two separation lines on each of the two parts of the upper side, which then results in two hinged flaps and thus an even larger opening. The larger the opening is, the easier can the paper container be filled with goods of various sizes. Preferably, the base body has at least one closing element that preferably comprises at least one adhesive element, to close the longitudinal seam at least partially, but preferably fully. Claims

Claims1. Transport system comprising an outer container (2) and a paper container (4) positioned in the outer container (2), wherein the paper container (4) comprises a base body, which- is made from a paper bag and comprises- two opposite end faces (8),- two opposite longitudinal sides (14),- an upper side and an underside, and- a longitudinal seam (18) which extends between the two end faces (8) along the upper side, characterized in that the base body comprises at least one separation line (16) along which a hinged flap (20) can be separated from the rest of the base body, the at least one separation line (16) extending from the longitudinal seam (18).

2. Paper container (4) for the system according to claim 1 , wherein the paper container (4) comprises a base body, which- is made from a paper bag and comprises- two opposite end faces (8),- two opposite longitudinal sides (14),- an upper side and an underside, and- a longitudinal seam (18) which extends between the two end faces (8) along the upper side, characterized in that the base body comprises at least one separation line (16) along which a hinged flap (20) can be separated from the rest of the base body, the at least one separation line (16) extending from the longitudinal seam (18).

3. Paper container (4) according to claim 2, wherein the at least one separation line (16) extends towards one of the longitudinal sides (14).

4. Paper container (4) according to any of the preceding claims 2 and 3, wherein the at least one separation line (16) extends along an edge between the upper side and one of the end faces (8).

Paper container (4) according to any of the preceding claims 2 to 4, wherein the base body comprises two separation lines (16), wherein the flap (20) is positioned between the two separation lines (16) and wherein each of the two separation lines (16) extend along an edge between the upper side and one of the end faces (8).

6. Paper container (4) according to any of the preceding claims 2 to 5, wherein the base body comprises at least one closing element, which preferably comprises at least one adhesive element, to close the longitudinal seam (18) at least partially, preferably fully.

7. Paper container (4) according to claim 6, wherein the closing element is covered by a removable cover.

8. Paper container (4) according to any of the preceding claims 2 to 7, wherein the separation lines (16) are perforated or cutted lines.

9. Paper container (4) according to any of the preceding claims 2 to 8, wherein each of the end faces (8) comprises a cross bottom (10).
