[0005] A wearable device is any type of device designed to be worn in front of at least one of the wearer ' s eyes and with a frame configured to be mounted on the wearer ' s head . For example , smart glasses are a particular type of wearable device .
[0006] For ease of exposition and discussion, reference will be made in the following to smart glasses .
[0007] As known, " smart" glasses , also called virtual glasses or digital glasses , refer to a pair of glasses comprising electronic devices adapted to operate like a computer, i . e . to support the activities carried out by the user wearing them, whether in the everyday and private sphere or in the work and business sphere or in any other particular sphere .
[0008] These components allow, for example , video and audio playback, filming, running computer applications , recognising natural language , shapes and obj ects placed in the surrounding environment .

[0010] Electronic and / or electrical components are adapted to be powered electrically by a battery, in some cases removable , also integrated into the frame . The battery can be rechargeable . It is usually necessary to replace the battery in order to extend the life of the glasses in which it is installed, or to ensure the continued operation of the smart glasses if there is no access to a charging source .
[0011] Removing the battery from the glasses also facilitates the disposal and recycling of the thereof. In fact, not the entire pair of smart glasses is replaced and disposed of, but only the battery.
[0012] Some known smart glasses include a seat formed, for example, in a rod of the glasses, adapted to receive the battery in such a way as to protect it from shocks and external influences such as water and dust.
[0013] Typically, in order to retain the battery there, it is known to use closing doors that can be attached to the rod by means of fastening, e.g. screws, or other connection means, e.g. glue or adhesives. Battery replacement is, therefore, cumbersome as tools, e.g. screwdrivers, or solvents or thermal energy, are required to remove the doors and take out the battery. An object of the present invention is to overcome the above-mentioned drawbacks and, in particular, to devise a rod for a device, a device, a frame and glasses comprising such a rod that allow for easy installation and extraction of a battery in order to replace it.
