The hydraulic excavator 1 is an electrically driven hydraulic excavator powered by a battery (not shown) housed in a battery case 30 (see Fig. 3), which is an electricity storage device.

[0015] In the following description, the side of the hydraulic excavator 1 on which the work implement 12 is arranged is the front, and the side opposite the front is the rear. In the embodiment, left and right refer to left and right relative to the front. The left-right direction is the width direction of the vehicle body 10 of the hydraulic excavator 1. The upper side is the side that is perpendicular to the plane (ground contact plane) where the pair of left and right tracks 18 contact and faces the vehicle body 10. The lower side is the side opposite the upper side. An axis that faces the fore-aft direction of the vehicle body 10 and passes through the center of the vehicle body 10 in the width direction is called the fore-aft axis (central axis), and an axis that is perpendicular to the central axis, parallel to the installation plane, and faces the vehicle width direction of the vehicle body 10 is called the lateral axis. An axis that faces the up-down direction of the vehicle body 10 is called the vertical axis. The vertical axis is perpendicular to both the central axis and the lateral axis. The central axis is the X-axis, the vertical axis is the Y-axis, and the lateral axis is the Z-axis.
