[0001] Description
[0002] Title: Aroma Diffuser for Bottles
[0003] FIELD OF INVENTION
[0004] The present invention relates to the field of bottles from which one can drink directly, i.e. of volume between 0.2 litres and 2 litres, and containing a beverage.
[0005] TECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0006] In the realm of non-alcoholic beverages, the main options are water, fruit juices, and sodas. The challenge lies in reconciling two distinct, often contradictory, aspects: the consumer's taste and their health.
[0007] Many users like sodas, but these are too sweet, especially since the combination of gas plus sugar seems even more harmful than sugar alone, risking an increase in the proportion of obese people in the population.
[0008] Water is excellent for your health, but many people find it too bland, whether still or sparkling. Fruit juices might seem like a good middle ground between sodas and water, striking a balance between taste and consumer health. But here again, the compromise is far from perfect, because either the amount of fruit juice is high, and the drink tastes good but is still too sweet, or the amount of fruit juice is low, and the drink becomes less harmful to your health but more bland.
[0009] However, the users' strong taste for fruits and fruit drinks actually comes essentially from the users' sense of smell detecting and savoring the aroma of the fruit, much more than from the detection by the tongue which is much more limited than the sense of smell, whether by direct breathing or by retro-nasalization.
[0010] Thus, instead of giving the user fruit juice, if they are simply given water to drink while simultaneously smelling the fruit, a much better compromise can be achieved: their taste is almost as well satisfied, since the essential element of fruit detection, derived from smell, is successfully completed, while their health is entirely preserved because no sugar is ingested; only the fruit aroma is perceived. However, creating such a fruit-scented capsule that is simultaneously effective, healthy, and economically viable is not so simple, as demonstrated by the drawbacks of various prior art systems, especially when considering ease of use for the user and the stability of the capsule's positioning during use.
[0011] According to prior art, for example described in US patent 5635229 (figure 5), a water bottle is known to have an aroma diffuser located at the bottle cap, but, on the one hand, the lifespan of the aroma diffuser is short, and on the other hand, it requires a specific cap structure dedicated to a specific shape of aroma diffuser.
[0012] According to a second, earlier art, a dedicated water bottle with a specially designed spout is known, onto which a correspondingly shaped capsule is fitted, diffusing a fruit scent: several models are currently commercially available. However, the dedicated nature of the bottle presents two drawbacks: firstly, it represents a significant investment, possibly requiring multiple purchases, to access a wide range of fruity flavors, while remaining dependent on one or more specific manufacturers for the capsules, which can be quite expensive; and secondly, the user must refill the bottle with water each time, possibly from a mineral water bottle, which is a tedious task, especially since it will be necessary to do so frequently.
[0013] The problem of obesity caused by overly sugary drinks is a significant issue.
[0014] Unfortunately, there is another, even worse problem: all the health and behavioral disorders, such as liver cirrhosis, violence, obesity (also), and many other physical and mental dysfunctions, caused by alcohol consumption, which too often quickly becomes abusive and addictive.
[0015] To address this other issue, just as smokers may experience a temporary phase of obesity due to excessive consumption of sugary products and alternatives, during the smoking cessation phase, it can be both realistic and wise to proceed in gradual stages. This involves accepting an intermediate phase of consuming fruit juice or other (possibly sweetened) beverages flavored only with alcohol (without drinking any alcohol) to overcome the alcohol addiction. This can then lead to a further phase of drinking only water flavored with fruit or other sweetened ingredients (without drinking any sugary liquids). It is also possible to drink only water flavored with alcohol (without drinking any alcohol).
[0016] In the realm of alcoholic beverages, there are primarily numerous aperitifs, digestifs, and table beers and wines. The challenge lies in reconciling two distinct, often opposing, aspects: the consumer's taste and their health, whether physical, mental, or emotional.
[0017] Many users enjoy alcoholic beverages, but these can become harmful when consumed without moderation.
[0018] Water is excellent for your health, but many people find it too bland, whether still or sparkling. Fruit juices and other sugary drinks are also considered too bland or weak by regular alcohol drinkers.
[0019] However, the users' strong taste for alcoholic beverages actually comes essentially from the users' sense of smell detecting and savoring the aroma of alcohol, much more than from the detection by the tongue, which is much more limited than the sense of smell, whether by direct breathing or by retronasalization.
[0020] Thus, instead of making the user drink alcohol, if we simply make them drink water or fruit juice, while simultaneously allowing them to smell the alcohol, we can achieve a much better compromise: their taste is almost as well satisfied, since the essential part of the alcohol detection, coming from olfaction, is well done, while totally preserving their health since no alcohol is swallowed, the scent of alcohol is only smelled.
[0021] However, creating such an aroma reservoir with the scent of alcohol perfume, which is both effective, good for health, and economically interesting, is not so simple, as shown by the disadvantages of the various systems of the prior art, especially if one also takes into account the simplification of use for the user and the stability of positioning of the aroma reservoir during use by the user.
[0022] OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
[0023] The invention offers an alternative approach to solving this problem. The invention provides an aroma diffuser whose design, shape, and structure allow it to be used directly with a commercially available bottle, without any modification to the bottle's shape or structure. The aroma is diffused as the user drinks the contents of the bottle. Thus, the aroma diffuser offers users simplicity and flexibility in its use, while also allowing them to save money.
[0024] The invention proposes for this purpose an aroma diffuser and a beverage device.
[0025] The aroma diffuser releases an alcoholic aroma, that is, a gaseous aroma including alcohol vapors, which will only be smelled by the user.
[0026] This alcoholic aroma will preferably be stored in the diffuser, either directly in liquid form, i.e., as an alcoholic solution, or in gel form, advantageously as a gel containing alcohol droplets. A gel solution will contain a thickening agent responsible for gelling. The gel, which is viscous, is, for example, a hydrocolloid.
[0027] This alcoholic aroma preferably comprises at least: alcohol, a component whose inhalation represents the fragrance of an aperitif, a wine, a beer, a digestif, and / or another alcohol traditionally drunk by men and women.
[0028] Advantageously, this alcoholic aroma is or contains a traditional spirit from around the world, pure or blended, known for its quality and authenticity.
[0029] Advantageously, this alcoholic flavoring is or contains a spirit or a mixture of one or more spirits, including: a grain spirit, advantageously whisky or one or more of its variants; a fruit spirit, advantageously brandy or one or more of its variants, or, for example, pear, mirabelle plum, kirsch, etc.; a sugarcane spirit, advantageously rum or one or more of its variants; a spirit made from plants, such as gin, pastis, or a liqueur; an agave spirit, advantageously tequila or one or more of its variants; a rice spirit, advantageously sake. This alcoholic flavoring may be an aperitif or a digestif, such as cognac, armagnac, or calvados.
[0030] This alcoholic aroma can also be an alcoholic solution obtained by alcoholic fermentation, as with wine or beer, or come from a solution fortified with alcohol, as with port or Madeira.
[0031] Alternatively, to obtain a less expensive alcoholic solution, this alcoholic solution could be a concentrated synthetic version where, starting from pure alcohols, flavorings are added so that the final solution obtained has a taste similar to that of the desired spirit.
[0032] The drinking device contains a non-alcoholic beverage, which will be drunk by the user.
[0033] This non-alcoholic beverage, which contains no alcohol at all, is advantageously a beverage that: can be carbonated or non-carbonated, can be a soda, can be a juice, such as fruit juice(s), vegetable juice(s), plant juice(s), or a mixture of all or part of the juices mentioned above, can be milk or a dairy product, can be water, or a mixture of all or part of the non-alcoholic beverages mentioned above.
[0034] The invention further aims to make this aroma diffuser: particularly inexpensive to use over a long period, particularly environmentally friendly over a long period, by proposing two parts for the reservoir of this aroma diffuser: o a first element, the aroma reservoir containing the aroma, which is the consumable element, o a second element, the body of the diffuser reservoir containing this aroma reservoir, which is the reusable element, this body of the diffuser reservoir being able to open to allow the extraction of the old aroma reservoir and its replacement with a new aroma reservoir, before being closed, very simply by the user, ■ this body of the diffuser reservoir advantageously comprising two parts which can first move apart to allow the extraction of the aroma reservoir, and which can then move closer together once the aroma reservoir has been replaced,to allow the user to once again use the aroma diffuser and enjoy the aroma contained in the new reservoir that replaced the old, empty reservoir.
[0035] The invention provides both an aroma diffuser for use with a bottle and a beverage device integrating this aroma diffuser and the bottle with which it is used.
[0036] To this end, the invention proposes an aroma diffuser for a bottle, in particular a plastic bottle, with a capacity between 0.2 and 2 liters, and comprising a neck closed by a cap, including: an aroma reservoir, comprising: o a hollow body:
[0037] ■ of annular or partially annular shape so that it can be placed around the neck of this bottle,
[0038] ■ including one or more aroma diffusion openings, o an aroma reservoir:
[0039] ■ surrounded by the hollow body,
[0040] ■ suitable for containing at least one flavoring in liquid, solid, or gel form,
[0041] ■ capable of diffusing this aroma in gaseous form out of the reservoir and out of the hollow body through all or part of the aroma diffusion orifices,
[0042] ■ the aroma being an alcoholic aroma.
[0043] Preferably: the alcoholic flavoring is or contains a spirit or a mixture of one or more spirits including: o a cereal spirit, advantageously whisky, o a fruit spirit, advantageously brandy, o a sugar cane spirit, advantageously rum, o a plant spirit, such as gin, pastis, or a liqueur, o an agave spirit, advantageously tequila, o a rice spirit, advantageously sake.
[0044] To this end, the invention also proposes a drinking device, comprising: a bottle, in particular a disposable plastic bottle, with a capacity of between 0.2 and 2 liters, o comprising a neck closed by a cap, o containing a non-alcoholic beverage, an aroma diffuser according to the invention.
[0045] Preferably: the neck of the bottle is surrounded: o by a thread for a screw cap, o and by a collar, located below the thread of the neck.
[0046] Preferably: the bottle is a plastic bottle.
[0047] Preferably: the bottle is a glass bottle.
[0048] Preferably: the non-alcoholic beverage includes one of the following drinks or a mixture of several of the following drinks: o one or more sodas, o one or more juices, of fruit(s) and / or vegetable(s) and / or plant(s), o one or more dairy products, o water, carbonated or non-carbonated.
[0049] To this end, the invention also proposes an aroma diffuser for a disposable bottle, in particular a disposable plastic bottle with a capacity between 0.2 and 2 liters, and preferably comprising a neck surrounded by a thread for a screw cap and by a collar located below the thread of the neck, comprising: an aroma reservoir, comprising: o a hollow body:
[0050] ■ of annular or partially annular shape so that it can be placed around the neck of this bottle,
[0051] ■ including one or more aroma diffusion openings, o an aroma reservoir:
[0052] ■ surrounded by the hollow body,
[0053] ■ suitable for containing at least one flavoring in liquid, solid, or gel form,
[0054] ■ capable of diffusing this aroma in gaseous form out of the reservoir and out of the hollow body through all or part of the aroma diffusion orifices,
[0055] ■ the aroma being an alcoholic aroma, o the hollow body comprising at least two parts that can be coupled together, in such a way:
[0056] ■ when the parts are uncoupled from each other, to make the internal volume of the hollow body accessible in order to exchange the reserve contained within the hollow body, thus allowing, on the one hand, the extraction of the reserve from the hollow body and, on the other hand, the introduction of another reserve into the hollow body,
[0057] ■ when the parts are coupled together, to make the internal volume of the hollow body inaccessible by preventing, on the one hand, the extraction of the reserve from the hollow body and on the other hand, the introduction of another reserve into the hollow body.
[0058] The parts are coupled to each other or uncoupled from each other. Equivalently, one can also say that the parts are assembled to each other or disassembled from each other.
[0059] To this end, the invention also proposes a drinking device.
[0060] The present invention thus makes it possible to overcome the drawbacks of known devices, by providing a diffuser: - providing the consumer with a perceived flavor without the drawback of calories or the addition of any type of additives to the drinked content, thus allowing the best nutritional value according to the Nutri-Score™ scale,
[0061] - very simple to use on a common or standard bottle, i.e. can be opened / closed with little effort and few manipulations, obeying an objective of sustainable and responsible development: that of achieving a simple manufacturing process for the invented diffuser, not requiring any change or almost no change at the level of the manufacturing process of the containers with which it will cooperate, in particular for bottles, which will allow a standardization of the use of such a diffuser, i.e. an easier adoption by consumers, the industries concerned, or even regulators seeing in it a double issue of public health and avoidance of the multiplication of capsules with proprietary designs, and will thus confirm the desired objective of sustainable and responsible development.
[0062] According to preferred embodiments, the invention comprises one or more of the following features which can be used separately or in partial combination with each other or in total combination with each other, with any of the aforementioned objects of the invention.
[0063] Preferably, the parts can be uncoupled from each other while remaining attached to each other by a link.
[0064] Thus, the manipulation of replacing the aroma reservoir inside the hollow body is simpler to perform.
[0065] Preferably, the parts can be uncoupled from each other by becoming completely detached from one another.
[0066] Thus, the overall structure of the hollow body is simpler and less expensive to manufacture.
[0067] Preferably, the parts can be assembled by fitting together.
[0068] Thus, the hollow body, once reassembled after replacing the aroma reservoir, is made more robust.
[0069] Preferably, the parts can be assembled by clipping them together. This makes the hollow body easier to reassemble after replacing the aroma reservoir.
[0070] Preferably, the two parts are respectively two parts or two halves of a ring or partial ring, the cross-section of which is a part or half of the total cross-section of the aroma reservoir, advantageously the cross-section of which is a half-disc, the perimeter of which is the complete perimeter of the aroma reservoir.
[0071] Each part or half of a ring or partial ring therefore has: a section which presents a part or half of the total section of the aroma reservoir, and a perimeter which presents the complete perimeter of the aroma reservoir.
[0072] Thus, after removing the used aroma reservoir, the new aroma reservoir is easier to put back in place in the hollow body before reassembling the hollow body.
[0073] Preferably, the two parts are respectively two parts or two halves of a ring or partial ring, the cross-section of which is the cross-section of the aroma reservoir, the perimeter of which is a part or half of the complete perimeter of the aroma reservoir.
[0074] Each part or half of a ring or partial ring therefore has: a section which presents the total section of the aroma reservoir, and a perimeter which presents a part or half of the complete perimeter of the aroma reservoir.
[0075] Thus, the two parts of the hollow body are simpler to manufacture.
[0076] Preferably, the reservoir is annular or partially annular in shape, corresponding to the annular or partially annular shape of the hollow body.
[0077] Thus, inserting the new aroma reservoir into the hollow body, after removing the used aroma reservoir, is made simpler.
[0078] Preferably, the reservoir is surrounded by a liquid-proof sleeve along part of its perimeter, preferably less than 40%, 30%, or 20%, or at least 5%, 10%, or 20%. This makes the flavor reservoir easier for the user to handle, especially when replacing the used flavor reservoir, both when removing the old one and when inserting the new one into the hollow body.
[0079] Preferably, the reservoir includes an absorbent material, the aroma reservoir also includes: at least one aroma capsule, comprising a closed outer envelope, containing an aroma, in liquid form, being capable of being opened, preferably by tearing or bursting or breaking, so that the aroma spreads into the absorbent material, by simple pressure exerted on a part of the aroma reservoir, the aroma capsule being located inside the absorbent material of the reservoir which is surrounded by the hollow body.
[0080] Thus, in this embodiment, the choice is made: On the one hand, to retain the good idea of having a pouch or capsule that only opens during use, by pressing it with one or more fingers of the user's hand, which avoids premature loss of aroma and the need to use excessive amounts of aroma to obtain a sufficient olfactory sensation for the user, i.e., the person who will drink the non-alcoholic beverage from the bottle. But on the other hand, to integrate this pouch or capsule, or these pouches or capsules of liquid aroma, inside the absorbent material. This material can then be manufactured completely outside the bottle, therefore with a manufacturing process that can be optimized separately from the bottle and its cap. The entire assembly, formed by the absorbent material including the capsule (located inside the absorbent material), is much easier to handle and install in or on a support. Finally, the entire assembly, including the capsule (located inside the absorbent material), is installed in an annular or partially annular aroma reservoir, specifically within the hollow body forming this annular or partially annular aroma reservoir. This is done so that the reservoir can be easily inserted by the user just before use, either vertically (parallel to the vertical axis of the bottle when placed on a flat horizontal surface) or horizontally (or perpendicular to the vertical axis of the bottle when placed on a flat horizontal surface). Preferably, the aroma capsule is located inside the portion of the absorbent material within the reservoir that is enclosed by the waterproof sleeve.
[0081] Thus, when the aroma capsule is opened, there is less risk of its liquid aroma spreading into the absorbent material which stains or touches the finger(s) of the user who pressed on the absorbent material at the level of the aroma capsule.
[0082] Preferably, the aroma diffuser also includes: at least one reservoir shutter, movable, relative to the reservoir, between: a position of simultaneous closure of all or part of the orifices, preventing the diffusion of aroma out of the reservoir, and a position of simultaneous opening of all or part of the orifices, allowing the diffusion of aroma out of the reservoir, around the neck of this bottle, towards the top of this bottle.
[0083] Thus, even once the capsule is opened, and the liquid aroma from this opened capsule is dispersed into the absorbent material, or into the layer of absorbent material, this liquid aroma will not diffuse in gaseous form to no avail, when the user does not drink and has put down their bottle, because then, during these pause periods, between two actions of drinking, the user will have closed the aroma reservoir with the shutter, thus avoiding a gaseous diffusion of aroma during these pause periods.
[0084] Advantageously, the shutter includes a gripping element, preferably located in the middle of the shutter, on its outer face opposite its inner face in contact with the aroma reservoir, in the form of a protrusion, allowing the shutter to be moved relative to the reservoir, preferably by a rotational movement of the shutter relative to the reservoir.
[0085] Preferably, the tank's obturator is movable, relative to the tank, between: a first stop corresponding to the position of simultaneous closure of all or part of the orifices, and a second stop corresponding to the position of simultaneous opening of all or part of the orifices.
[0086] Thus, the transition between the closed and open positions of the orifices is made more simply by the user, who will therefore be more inclined to close the orifices at each pause, when he is not drinking, as this closure, and the opening which follows, are made easier and simpler to perform.
[0087] Preferably, the aroma capsule is unique. This simplifies the overall structure of the absorbent material.
[0088] Preferably, the aroma capsule is located in the middle of the perimeter of the annular or partially annular shape of the hollow body.
[0089] Thus, diffusion in the absorbent material located in the hollow body of the aroma reservoir, which is annular and partially annular in shape, is carried out more quickly and more uniformly.
[0090] Preferably, there should be at least two aroma capsules.
[0091] Thus, the space around the diffuser, into which the liquid aroma will then be diffused, is larger and / or the quantity of aroma diffused is greater.
[0092] Preferably, the aroma capsules are regularly distributed along the perimeter of the annular or partially annular shape of the hollow body, and / or the two aroma capsules or at least two of the aroma capsules are arranged at the ends of the only partially annular shape of the hollow body.
[0093] Thus, diffusion in the absorbent material located in the hollow body of the aroma reservoir, which is annular and partially annular in shape, is carried out more quickly and more uniformly.
[0094] Preferably, the orifices are oblong or elongated in shape, the tank closure is movable, relative to the tank, up to at least one intermediate position between: on the one hand the position of simultaneous closure of all or part of the orifices, and on the other hand the position of simultaneous opening of all or part of the orifices, the orifices then being simultaneously partially closed and partially open or simultaneously half closed and half open.
[0095] Thus, an additional option is offered to the user: the choice between a moderately intense and a highly intensely intense aroma release. This option of using a moderately intense aroma release can be particularly appealing to economical and / or environmentally conscious users who want to be able to reuse the same diffuser, its absorbent material, and its aroma capsule(s) multiple times, i.e., with several bottles consumed consecutively. As a first alternative, to easily and simply slide the aroma diffuser around the neck of the bottle, ideally vertically from above, the aroma diffuser includes: one or more clips, positioned so that they can be clipped under the neck flange of the bottle, thus placing the reservoir: around the neck of the bottle, below the bottom of the threads surrounding the neck of the bottle.
[0096] The clip(s) are arranged so as: to be able to clip under the collar of the neck of this bottle, so as to place the reservoir: around the neck of this bottle, below the level of the bottom of the thread surrounding the neck of this bottle.
[0097] Thus, even with a permanent safety ring, located around the neck of the bottle, to which the cap remains attached even once unscrewed from the neck, the cap can be removed from the neck without being hindered by the presence of the reservoir, whether the connection between the safety ring and the cap is short, of intermediate length, or long.
[0098] Preferably, the reservoir and / or diffuser is ring-shaped, making a complete turn. Once placed around the neck of the bottle, the ring-shaped reservoir and / or diffuser makes a complete turn around the neck of the bottle.
[0099] Thus, the reservoir and diffuser are positioned more stably around the neck of the bottle.
[0100] In a second alternative, to easily and simply slide the aroma diffuser around the neck of the bottle, advantageously horizontally from the side, the aroma reservoir of the aroma diffuser and / or the diffuser is or are partially annular in shape, making between 60% and 90% of a full turn, so as to be able to clip around the neck of this bottle, under the collar of the neck of this bottle.
[0101] The aroma reservoir is partially annular, forming between 60% and 90% of a full rotation, so that it can be clipped around the neck of the bottle, under the neck collar. This aroma reservoir comprises one or more chambers or compartments in which one or more aromas are stored. The aroma reservoir also includes a support for the chamber(s) or compartment(s). Either the chamber(s) or the entire assembly of chamber(s) or the entire assembly of compartment(s) is / are partially annular, forming between 60% and 90% of a full rotation.Either the chamber(s) or the compartment(s) are partially annular in shape, with each chamber forming between 60% and 90% of a full rotation, but its support is also partially annular, with each chamber forming between 60% and 90% of a full rotation, so that the diffuser, and therefore the reservoir, can be clipped around the neck of the bottle, under the collar of the bottle's neck. Towards its ends, the support may have a smaller cross-section, or at least half the cross-section, of the reservoir chamber(s) or the reservoir compartment(s). The diffuser as a whole is advantageously partially annular, with each chamber forming between 60% and 90% of a full rotation, so that it can be clipped around the neck of the bottle, under the collar of the bottle's neck.
[0102] Thus, a good compromise is achieved between, on the one hand, the stability of the positioning of the reservoir and the diffuser around the neck of the bottle, and on the other hand, a clearance space of sufficient size is provided to receive the cap once unscrewed and removed from the neck of the bottle, even when this cap remains attached to a safety ring located around the neck of the bottle by a relatively short link.
[0103] This tamper-evident ring refers to the European directive on single-use plastics, known as the "captive cap" directive, which mandates that all plastic bottle caps must be securely attached to the bottle body from July 3, 2024. The aim of this regulation is to minimize the harmful environmental impact of plastic. In this context, standardization of captive caps is planned, ensuring that the cap is collected and recycled with the bottle. Currently, among the various captive cap solutions on the market are caps attached to a base clipped under the threads (such as the "Rozanna" brand cap (registered trademark)) and hinged "snap" caps (such as the "Cristalline" brand cap (registered trademark)), which do not unscrew but open from the bottom up.
[0104] It is this partially annular shape, making more than half a turn but not a full turn, of the aroma reservoir that will allow this aroma reservoir to be clipped very simply and easily around the neck of the bottle, just under the collar of the neck of the bottle, the aroma reservoir then being held by the domed part of the body of the bottle flaring out under the collar of the neck of the bottle.
[0105] The collar is the last radial protrusion located around the neck of the bottle, towards the bottom of the bottle, before the body of the bottle, which flares radially outwards in a conical shape before reaching its maximum corresponding to the cylindrical section of the bottle with a constant or practically constant circular cross-section. By clipping around the neck of the bottle, the inner part of the annular shape of the reservoir is advantageously at least partially in contact with the neck itself, in the part where its external diameter is minimal.
[0106] The aroma reservoir can in particular be clipped in by a movement orthogonal to the vertical axis of the bottle, thanks to the elasticity (even reduced if the material constituting the wall of the reservoir is relatively rigid intrinsically) of the ends of the partially annular shape which will move away from each other when they meet the neck of the bottle, then will move closer together to partially encircle the neck of the bottle.
[0107] This partially annular shape allows, for a given shape and size of reservoir, in particular to adapt to a certain range of outside diameters of bottle neck, while maintaining a good compromise between the following two properties: the aroma reservoir can be clipped simply and easily around the neck of the bottle, the aroma reservoir remains around the neck of the bottle without falling, and advantageously without slipping or with very little slippage around the neck of the bottle, when the user of the bottle tilts the bottle from a vertical to a horizontal or inclined position, in order to be able to drink the liquid contained in the bottle.
[0108] The range of outside diameters can cover a few millimeters, for example, at least 4 mm or at least 6 mm (especially when the tank has an internal layer or inward protrusions, as considered in option(s) in Figure 3 below), but advantageously remain less than 10 mm, or advantageously less than 8 mm, around an average diameter. Preferably, the internal diameter of the partially annular shape of the tank is between 20 mm and 30 mm. Preferably, the internal diameter of the bottle neck is also between 20 mm and 30 mm.
[0109] This partially annular shape is advantageously a form of torus whose cross-section is, for example, circular or rectangular.
[0110] The overall shape of the diffuser itself can then be partially annular and torus-shaped, the cross-section of which is, for example, circular or rectangular.
[0111] The shape and size of both the aroma reservoir and the aroma diffuser can therefore be simple and small, respectively. Preferably, the reservoir and / or diffuser is partially annular in shape, forming between 65% and 85% of a full circle.
[0112] This reduced angular coverage range of the partially annular shape allows, for a given shape and size of a single reservoir, in particular to adapt to a certain range of outside diameters of bottle neck, while maintaining a better compromise between the following two properties: the flavor reservoir can be clipped simply and easily around the neck of the bottle, the flavor reservoir remains around the neck of the bottle without falling, and advantageously without slipping or with very little slippage around the neck of the bottle, when the user of the bottle tilts the bottle from a vertical to a horizontal or inclined position, in order to be able to drink the liquid contained in the bottle.
[0113] Preferably, the reservoir and / or diffuser is or are partially annular in shape, making between 70% and 80% of a full turn.
[0114] This even smaller angular coverage range of the partially annular shape allows, for a given shape and size of a single reservoir, in particular to adapt to a certain range of outside diameters of bottle neck, while maintaining an even better compromise between the following two properties: the flavor reservoir can be simply and easily clipped around the neck of the bottle, the flavor reservoir remains around the neck of the bottle without falling, and advantageously without slipping or with very little slipping around the neck of the bottle, when the user of the bottle tilts the bottle from a vertical to a horizontal or inclined position, in order to be able to drink the liquid contained in the bottle.
[0115] Alternatively, the reservoir and / or diffuser is or are partially annular in shape, making between 60% and 80% of a full turn, which allows the use of an aroma reservoir whose cross-section can be larger, the largest dimension of the cross-section and the smallest dimension being in a maximum ratio of 3 to 1, preferably in a maximum ratio of 2 to 1, even more preferably in a maximum ratio of 1.5 to 1.
[0116] Preferably, the aroma reservoir is partially annular in shape and made of one or more materials sufficiently elastic to be able to clip around the neck of this bottle, under the collar of the neck of this bottle, by moving this aroma reservoir in a direction orthogonal to a vertical axis of the bottle.
[0117] Thus, the clipping is partially simple and easy to do.
[0118] Preferably, the aroma reservoir is partially annular in shape and made of one or more sufficiently elastic materials so that it can be clipped around the neck of this bottle, under the collar of the neck of this bottle, by moving this aroma reservoir in a direction perpendicular to a vertical axis of revolution symmetry of the bottle.
[0119] Thus, the clipping is partially simple and easy to do.
[0120] Preferably, the aroma diffusion orifices are regularly distributed around the axis of the annular or partially annular shape.
[0121] Thus, regardless of the position of the fingers of the hand of the user holding the bottle when the user drinks the contents of the bottle, the diffusion of aroma around the neck of the bottle, towards the nose of the user who drinks the contents of the bottle, remains significant.
[0122] Preferably, there should be at least 4, or at least 6, or at least 10 aroma diffusion openings.
[0123] Thus, regardless of the position of the fingers of the hand of the user holding the bottle when the user drinks the contents of the bottle, the diffusion of aroma around the neck of the bottle, towards the nose of the user who drinks the contents of the bottle, remains significant.
[0124] Preferably, the tank closure is movable relative to the tank by rotation around an axis of rotation parallel to the axis of the annular or partially annular shape.
[0125] Thus, a simple rotating gesture by the user allows the aroma to be released from the reservoir containing the aroma of the diffuser.
[0126] Furthermore, the opening and closing positions of the shutter are even more stable.
[0127] Preferably, the tank's shutter slides into a hollow part of the tank.
[0128] Thus, the shutter movement is more stable because it is guided. Preferably, the clips are evenly distributed around the axis of the annular or partially annular shape.
[0129] Thus, the diffuser is positioned around the neck of the bottle in an even more stable manner.
[0130] Preferably, there should be at least 2 clips, or at least 3, or at least 4, or at least 6.
[0131] Thus, the diffuser is positioned around the neck of the bottle in an even more stable manner.
[0132] Preferably, part of the clips or each clip is formed by a narrowing of material located between its distal and proximal parts.
[0133] Thus, the mechanical production of the diffuser clip(s) is made even simpler.
[0134] Preferably, part of the clips or each clip is formed by an internal protrusion: oriented towards the inside of the annular shape of the tank, from a part of a wall of the tank, and made of a material more elastic than the material of the wall of the tank.
[0135] Thus, the diffuser is positioned even more stably around the bottle neck. Positioning the diffuser in its clip / lock position is facilitated by a snap-fit mechanism. Indeed, the internal protrusion, due to its elastic deformability, allows the diffuser to engage under the bottle's neck during its movement towards locking. And when the diffuser is pulled from its locked position to its unlocked position, it resists removal up to a certain force.
[0136] Preferably, the wall of the aroma reservoir is made of plastic.
[0137] Thus, the reservoir is sturdy and simple to manufacture, and its partially annular shape makes it sufficiently elastic to easily clip around the bottle neck, even though the plastic itself remains quite rigid, while still remaining securely clipped around the neck. This material is particularly well-suited when the partially annular shape is between 60% and 75% of a full circumference.
[0138] Ideally, the wall of the flavor reservoir is made of rubber. This makes the reservoir particularly flexible, allowing it to easily clip onto the neck of the bottle. This material is especially well-suited when the partially annular shape is between 75% and 90% of a full rotation.
[0139] Preferably, the aroma reservoir includes an aroma chamber with several aroma diffusion orifices or two aroma chambers, each with several aroma diffusion orifices.
[0140] Thus, the chamber structure is simpler and more robust, and this chamber is easier to fill with aroma during the diffuser's manufacture, but the reservoir has a certain volume. This remains true for two chambers, but to a slightly lesser extent.
[0141] In the case of two chambers, it is even possible to mix two different aromas during aroma diffusion.
[0142] Preferably, the aroma reservoir includes several aroma compartments, each with a single aroma diffusion orifice.
[0143] Thus, the reservoir can be miniaturized more easily, but the compartments will become a little more difficult to simply fill with aroma during the manufacture of the diffuser.
[0144] Preferably, the tank obturator is partially annular in shape, making between 50% and 90% of a full turn, preferably making a portion of a full turn that is less than the portion of a full turn of the tank.
[0145] Thus, the movement of the shutter can easily correspond to a rotational kinematic.
[0146] Preferably, the tank obturator is partially annular in shape, making between 50% and 85% of a full turn, making a portion of a full turn that is less than that of the tank.
[0147] Thus, the movement of the shutter can easily correspond to a rotational kinematic.
[0148] Preferably, the tank's shutter has openings and is movable relative to the tank between the closed and open positions by rotating around the tank. In the closed position, its openings are offset from the aroma diffusion orifices, and in the open position, its openings are aligned with the aroma diffusion orifices. This rotational movement is thus smoother to achieve than a translational movement.
[0149] Preferably, the tank closure is movable, relative to the tank, between the closed position and the open position, by rotation around the tank, this rotation taking place around an axis of rotation which on the one hand passes through the center of the annular shape of the tank and on the other hand is orthogonal to the average plane of the annular shape of the tank.
[0150] Thus, the movement of the shutter corresponds to a sliding motion of an outer (partial) ring around an inner (partial) ring. This motion is very smooth.
[0151] Preferably, the shutter is made of plastic.
[0152] Thus, the sliding motion is more stable.
[0153] Preferably, the aroma reservoir includes one or more protrusions that are formed or fixed on the outer wall of the reservoir that are located inside the partially annular shape of the reservoir, and / or that are oriented towards the center of the partially annular shape of the reservoir.
[0154] Thus, the angular position of the reservoir (and also of the diffuser) around the neck of the bottle is made even more stable, even when the user of the bottle tends to shake the bottle a little when drinking the liquid from this bottle.
[0155] Preferably, the aroma reservoir includes several protrusions that are regularly distributed around the partially annular shape of the reservoir, preferably between 2 and 5 protrusions.
[0156] Thus, the angular position of the reservoir (and also of the diffuser) around the neck of the bottle is made even more stable, even when the user of the bottle tends to shake the bottle a little when drinking the liquid from this bottle.
[0157] Preferably, the protrusion(s) are made of textile, fabric, or rubber.
[0158] Thus, the higher friction of these materials helps to further stabilize the angular position of the reservoir (and also the diffuser) around the neck of the bottle.
[0159] Preferably, the absorbent material is in the form of foam or sponge. Preferably, the aroma is absorbed by or contained within the aroma reservoir.
[0160] This aroma reserve can then be formed by an absorbent material that is capable of containing this aroma in liquid or solid form, which allows the aroma it has absorbed to diffuse in gaseous form.
[0161] Preferably, the reserve layer is essentially formed from: either silicone, or a porous ceramic, or a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), or a polyurethane foam (PU Foam).
[0162] Thus, these materials achieve a good or relatively good compromise between all the required properties, and in particular the high rate of gas diffusion, good impermeability to non-alcoholic beverage, good flexibility to facilitate installation, and good recyclability (since the diffuser is a disposable element, with the standard bottle).
[0163] Silicone and porous ceramic will be used more often with an aroma reservoir that is a single piece both containing the aroma and protecting the aroma contained from the non-alcoholic beverage, the silicone and porous ceramic forming the part having the dual function of being able to both contain the aroma and protect the aroma contained from the non-alcoholic beverage.
[0164] Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and polyurethane foam (PU Foam) will be used with an aroma reservoir that is in two parts, one part that contains the aroma and one part that protects the aroma contained from the non-alcoholic beverage, the thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and polyurethane foam (PU Foam) forming only the part that contains the aroma but not the part that protects the aroma contained from the non-alcoholic beverage.
[0165] Preferably, the ends of the annular shape of the aroma reservoir are respectively extended, respecting said annular shape, by clips with a reduced cross-section compared to the cross-section of the reservoir.
[0166] Thus, these clips extending the ends of the annular shape of the reservoir along this annular shape allow for a better grip on the neck of the bottle while making it very easy to clip around the neck of the bottle.
[0167] Preferably, the reservoir's shutter is movable relative to the reservoir by rotating around an axis parallel to the axis of the annular or partially annular shape. Thus, a simple rotating motion by the user releases the aroma from the diffuser's aroma reservoir.
[0168] Furthermore, the opening and closing positions of the shutter are even more stable.
[0169] Preferably, the partially annular shape of the aroma reservoir is a torus whose cross-section can be circular or rectangular or of any closed shape.
[0170] The shape and size of both the aroma reservoir and the aroma diffuser can thus be respectively simple and reduced.
[0171] Preferably, the aroma diffuser has a partially annular shape which is preferably a torus whose cross-section may be circular or rectangular or of any closed shape.
[0172] The shape and size of both the aroma reservoir and the aroma diffuser can therefore be respectively very simple and very small.
[0173] Preferably, the height of the diffuser and / or the height of the reservoir is or are approximately equal to the distance between the neck flange and the conical shape of the bottle body. This ensures that the diffuser is positioned more stably, or even immobile, around the bottle neck. The height of the diffuser and the height of the reservoir are measured along the same vertical axis Z as the bottle itself.
[0174] Preferably, the absorbent material completely surrounds the capsule, or completely surrounds some of the capsules, or completely surrounds all the capsules, or the absorbent material is in contact with the entire outer surface of the closed outer shell of the capsule, or of some of the capsules, or of all the capsules.
[0175] Thus, once the capsule is opened, the diffusion of liquid aroma into the absorbent material is particularly rapid and uniform, eliminating or reducing as much as possible the leakage of liquid aroma to the outside of the absorbent material.
[0176] Preferably, several capsules contain different flavors.
[0177] Thus, the richness of the diffused aromas, and / or the variability in the aroma diffusion sequence, is increased. Preferably, the capsule or capsules each have a spherical shape, and / or the capsule or capsules each have an ellipsoidal shape.
[0178] Preferably, the capsule or capsules have a larger dimension which is between 0.5mm and 5mm, or between 1mm and 3mm, or a diameter which is between 0.5mm and 5mm, or between 1mm and 3mm.
[0179] Thus, these simple shapes and small sizes are particularly well suited to the aroma capsules to be installed in the aroma diffuser according to the invention.
[0180] Preferably, at least the reservoir, and preferably also the diffuser, is or are made of natural cellulose.
[0181] Thus, the reservoir and / or diffuser are cheaper and more environmentally friendly, because they are more easily recyclable.
[0182] Preferably, the reservoir has at least two compartments that can release their respective aromas sequentially, alternately, or jointly.
[0183] Thus, the release of the respective aromas from the two compartments is: either sequential, the aroma being the same in both compartments, which allows the aroma to last longer and to retain its freshness and organoleptic qualities for longer, or alternative, the aromas being different between the two compartments, which allows the user to alternate the aroma over time, for example switching from strawberry to orange, or joint, the aromas being different between the two compartments, which allows the user to mix the two aromas together in their nasal cavity, for example combining strawberry with mint.
[0184] Taste receptors can only register five distinct tastes, whereas there are hundreds of types of olfactory receptors that allow the nose to perceive many more odors. However, drinking a flavored liquid directly from the bottle does not involve direct olfaction, but only retronasal olfaction. The invention also overcomes this limitation.
[0185] The disposable bottle is preferably a mineral bottle, particularly a plastic bottle. The plastic disposable bottle can be replaced, for example, by a bioplastic disposable bottle, a bamboo disposable bottle, or a PLA disposable bottle.
[0186] The disposable bottle is preferably recyclable or at least partially recyclable.
[0187] A disposable bottle, for example, is contrasted with a constantly reusable water bottle.
[0188] Advantageously, the aroma can emanate from a substance contained within it, known for its aromatic properties. The constituents or ingredients of the flavoring material or substance contained in the aroma diffuser's reservoir chamber will not be detailed hereafter. It should be understood, however, that the contents of this chamber are not necessarily limited to a particular material, form, or phase; for example, the chamber may contain ingredients in the form of solid granules, one or more gels, or one or more breakable capsules. The chamber's contents may also include another component that can not only enhance the diffusion of an aroma but also improve, in particular, its preservation and / or aeration.

[0200] In the following description of embodiments of the invention, a container, for example a bottle, such as the one shown in the figures, is considered. In this figure, the bottle extends along a vertical axis Z, with the opening of the bottle and the diffuser according to the invention facing upwards. Thus, the "top" of the bottle is defined by its opening, on which the diffuser is to be mounted, and the bottom of the bottle is the portion opposite its opening.
[0201] Similarly, the term "internal surface" refers to the surface of a part facing inward toward the bottle, and likewise, the term "external surface" refers to the surface of a part facing outward toward the bottle, that is, in a direction substantially opposite to the direction of the bottle's interior. Likewise, the term "horizontal axis" refers to the axes X and Y perpendicular to the principal axis Z along which the bottle extends from bottom to top.
[0202] Bottles with a slightly shorter neck (17mm instead of 21mm), a steeper thread pitch, and threads that only go around twice instead of three times around the neck of the bottle can also be used.
[0203] In one embodiment, the reservoir may contain a capsule of flavoring liquid or gel, designed to open and release the liquid or gelled flavor it contains, while the reservoir and its casing (shutoff cap, etc.) are made of flexible materials. In this case, the consumer can, upon first use, press on the diffuser to open the capsule, for example by bursting, tearing, or possibly breaking.
[0204] Once the capsule is opened, it releases its contents, but of course, these will be preserved in the reservoir as long as the diffuser is in closed mode.
[0205] Guiding means, such as rails in the form of circular grooves for example, can be provided between the elements to ensure rotational movements.
[0206] At the ends of this guide, one or more end stops are provided, in translation and / or rotation of the tank so as not to rotate in a vacuum.
[0207] The space around the bottle is oriented in the orthogonal directions X, Y, Z, such that the Z direction is along the vertical axis which is also the axis of symmetry of the overall cylindrical bottle.
[0208] Throughout the rest of the text, elements such as the diffuser, the reservoir and the shutter will be presented as annular for convenience of language even though they may only be partially annular (i.e. do not make a complete turn but only part of a complete turn).
[0209] DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION
[0210] Figure 1 schematically represents a side view of a beverage device comprising an aroma diffuser according to the invention.
[0211] In Figure 1, a cylindrical bottle 1 of a non-alcoholic beverage terminates at its upper end, along the Z-axis, with a neck 4 of the bottle 1, also cylindrical, having an external thread 40 of the neck 4 surrounding the neck 4. Beneath this external thread 40 is an annular collar 41 of the neck 4. The annular collar 41 encircles the neck 4, either continuously or via several outwardly facing protrusions radially distributed around the neck 4. Between the external thread 40 and the annular collar 41 is an annular safety ring 30, which is connected by a tab-type safety link 31 to the cap 3. The cap 3 has an internal thread corresponding to the external thread 40 of the neck 4, allowing the cap 3 to screw onto the neck 4. The annular safety ring 30 also encircles the neck 4.The neck 4 ends at the top with an opening 43 through which the liquid contained in the bottle can flow out of the bottle 1, towards the outside of the bottle 1.
[0212] The aroma diffuser 2 is annular and includes an aroma reservoir 5, also annular. The annular aroma diffuser 2 and the annular aroma reservoir 5 are both positioned around the neck 4 and at least partially encircle the neck 4. The reservoir 5 includes aroma diffusion orifices 6 that allow the aroma contained in the reservoir 5 to be diffused outwards from the reservoir 5 and thus outwards from the diffuser 2. The orifices 6 are preferably located on the outer side wall of the reservoir 5 (as seen in Figure 1) and / or on the upper wall of the reservoir 5 (not shown in Figure 1). The orifices 6 of the reservoir 5 can be opened or closed by a movable shutter 7 (not shown in Figure 1).
[0213] Figure 2 schematically represents a side view of a beverage device comprising an aroma diffuser according to the invention, with a first type of fixing of the aroma diffuser on the beverage device.
[0214] The beverage device includes a bottle 1 and an aroma diffuser 2.
[0215] Bottle 1 is a disposable bottle, in particular a disposable plastic bottle, with a capacity of between 0.2 and 2 liters. Bottle 1 extends upwards with a neck 4. The neck 4 is surrounded by an external thread 40 for a screw cap 3, and by a collar 41 located below the external thread 40 of the neck 4.
[0216] The aroma diffuser 2 includes an aroma reservoir 5 which is annular or partially annular in shape so as to be able to be placed around the neck 4 of this bottle 1, and also includes several aroma diffusion orifices 6.
[0217] The shutter 7 is movable, relative to the reservoir 5, between, on the one hand, a position of simultaneous closure of all the orifices 6, thus preventing the diffusion of aroma out of the reservoir 5, and on the other hand, a position of simultaneous opening of all the orifices 6, allowing the diffusion of aroma out of the reservoir 5, both around the neck 4 of the bottle 1, and also towards the top of this bottle 1. Here, the shutter 7 is movable in rotation about the vertical axis Z and about the reservoir 5. The reservoir is shown with diffusion orifices 6 on its outer lateral wall 5 If. When the shutter 7 rotates around the reservoir 5, if the orifices 70 of the shutter 7 are opposite the diffusion orifices 6 of the reservoir 5, then the diffusion orifices 6 are open and can spread the aroma outwards from the reservoir 5.When the shutter 7 rotates around the reservoir 5, if the orifices 70 of the shutter 7 are not opposite the diffusion orifices 6 of the reservoir 5, then the diffusion orifices 6 are closed because they are covered by the solid wall of the shutter 7 and cannot diffuse the aroma outwards from the reservoir 5, this aroma remaining stored (in a form allowing the aroma to volatilize when the diffusion orifices are opened) inside the reservoir 5. The reservoir 5 could alternatively or cumulatively have diffusion orifices 6 on its upper face 51s. These diffusion orifices 6 would then be closed when the solid wall of an upper horizontal flap (actually perpendicular to the vertical axis Z) (not shown) of the shutter 7, parallel to this upper face 51s of the reservoir 5, covered the diffusion orifices 6 that would also be located on the upper face 51s of tank 5.These diffusion orifices 6 would then be open when the orifices 70 of this upper horizontal flap (actually perpendicular to the vertical axis Z) (not shown) of the shutter 7, parallel to this upper face 51s of the reservoir 5, would be opposite the diffusion orifices 6 located on the upper face 51s of the reservoir 5.
[0218] The diffuser 2 is positioned around the neck 4 of the bottle 1, so as to block its translation along the vertical axis Z, by one or more fasteners 8. This fastener or these fasteners 8 are one or more clips 80 which are arranged to clip under the collar 41 of the neck 4 of this bottle 1, so as to place the reservoir 5 around the neck 4 of this bottle 1. The clips 80, here arranged at two levels and of annular shape, clamp the collar 41 together, thus blocking the movement of the diffuser 2 in translation along the vertical axis Z which is also the axis of symmetry of the bottle 1 and the diffuser 2.The elasticity of the clips 80 allows for both easy installation of the diffuser 2 around the neck 4 and secure locking along the vertical axis Z, preventing the diffuser from sliding along the vertical axis Z when the bottle 1 is inverted (neck 4 oriented obliquely but slightly downwards) while the user is drinking, thus avoiding any interference. The application of limited but deliberate force by the user releases the clips 80 and frees the collar 41, allowing the diffuser to move freely up towards the top of the neck 4. This is because the collar 41 has the largest outer diameter of the neck 4, which is both larger than the outer diameter of the safety ring 30 and larger than the maximum outer diameter of the external thread 40 of the neck 4.
[0219] In one option, the reservoir 5 and / or the diffuser 2 are annular in shape, making a complete rotation around their axis. Once placed around the neck 4 of the bottle 1, the annular reservoir 5 and / or diffuser 2 make a complete rotation around the neck 4 of the bottle 1. Thus, the reservoir 5 and the diffuser 2 are positioned more stably around the neck 4 of the bottle 1.
[0220] In another option, the reservoir 5 and / or the diffuser 2 is partially annular in shape, making between 60% and 90% of a complete turn around their axis (as illustrated in Figure 1). Thus, a good compromise is achieved between, on the one hand, the positional stability of the reservoir 5 and the diffuser 2 around the neck 4 of the bottle 1, and on the other hand, a sufficiently large clearance space, in the empty part where the missing part (the hole) of the annular shape is located, is provided to receive the cap 3 once unscrewed and removed from the neck 4 of the bottle 1, even when this cap 3 remains attached to a safety ring 30 located around the neck 4 of the bottle 1 by a relatively short link 31.
[0221] The aroma diffusion orifices 6 are regularly distributed around the vertical axis Z of the annular or partially annular shape. Thus, regardless of the position of the fingers of the user's hand holding the bottle 1 when the user drinks the contents of the bottle 1, the diffusion of aroma around the neck 4 of the bottle 1, towards the nose of the user drinking the contents of the bottle 1, remains significant, even if a minority of these diffusion orifices 6 could be temporarily blocked by one or more fingers of the user covering them at that moment.
[0222] There are at least 4, or at least 6, or at least 10 aroma diffusion orifices. Thus, regardless of the position of the fingers of the hand of the user holding bottle 1 when the user drinks the contents of bottle 1, the diffusion of aroma around the neck 4 of bottle 1, towards the nose of the user who drinks the contents of bottle 1, remains significant, regardless of the position of the user's fingers.
[0223] The 80 clips are evenly distributed around the Z-axis of the annular or partially annular shape. This ensures that the diffuser 2 is positioned even more stably around the neck 4 of the bottle 1. There are at least 2, 3, 4, or 6 clips 80. This ensures that the diffuser 2 is positioned even more stably around the neck 4 of the bottle 1.
[0224] In one option, part of the clips 80 or each clip 80 is formed by an internal protrusion which is oriented towards the inside of the annular shape of the reservoir 5, from the inner face 51i of the wall 51 of the reservoir 5. This internal protrusion 80 is made of a more elastic material than the material of the wall 51 of the reservoir 5. Thus, the diffuser 2 is positioned around the neck 4 of the bottle 1 in an even more stable manner. The positioning of the diffuser 2 in its clipping / locking position is facilitated by the snapping of the clips 80 on either side (along the Z axis) of the collar 4L. Indeed, the internal protrusion 80, due to its elastic deformability properties, allows the diffuser 2 to engage under the collar 41 of the bottle 1 in its movement towards locking, and when the diffuser 2 is pulled from its locking position towards its unlocking position, this diffuser 2 resists removal up to a certain (reasonable) force of removal.
[0225] The clip(s) 80 are arranged so as to be able to clip under the collar 41 of the neck 4 of this bottle 1, and advantageously also on the collar, so as to clamp this collar 41 between them, so as to place the reservoir 5 around the neck 4 of this bottle 1, below the level of the bottom of the external thread 40 surrounding the neck 4 of this bottle 1. Thus, even with a permanent safety ring 30, located around the neck 4 of the bottle 1, to which the cap 3 remains attached even once unscrewed from the neck 4, the cap 3 can be removed from the neck 4 without being hindered by the presence of the reservoir 5, whether the connection between the safety ring 30 and the cap 3 is short, intermediate, or long.
[0226] In one option, at least reservoir 5, and preferably also diffuser 2, is or are made of natural cellulose. This makes reservoir 5 and / or diffuser 2 less expensive and more environmentally friendly, as they are more easily recyclable.
[0227] In one option, the reservoir 5 has at least two compartments that can release their respective aromas sequentially, alternately, or jointly. The movable shutter 7 then has several positions: a first position of closing the diffusion orifices 6 of all compartments, and / or a second position of opening the diffusion orifices 6 of a first compartment while simultaneously closing the diffusion orifices 6 of a second compartment, and / or a third position of opening the diffusion orifices 6 of the second compartment while simultaneously closing the diffusion orifices 6 of the first compartment, and / or a fourth position of opening the diffusion orifices 6 of all compartments. Thus, the release of the respective aromas from the two compartments is: either sequential, the aroma being the same in both compartments, which allows the aroma to last longer and to retain its freshness and organoleptic qualities for longer, or alternative, the aromas being different between the two compartments, which allows the user to alternate the aroma over time, for example switching from strawberry to orange, or joint, the aromas being different between the two compartments, which allows the user to mix the two aromas together in their nasal cavity, for example combining strawberry with mint.
[0228] Figure 3 schematically represents a side view of a beverage device comprising an aroma diffuser according to the invention, for a first type of shutter, in the position of closing the aroma diffusion orifices.
[0229] In Figure 3, a cylindrical bottle 1 terminates at its upper end, along the Z-axis, in a neck 4, also cylindrical, having an external thread 40 of the neck 4 surrounding the neck 4.
[0230] The aroma diffuser 2 is annular and includes an aroma reservoir 5, also annular. The annular aroma diffuser 2 and the annular aroma reservoir 5 are both positioned around the neck 4 and partially encircle the neck 4. The reservoir 5 includes aroma diffusion orifices 6 that allow the aroma contained in the reservoir 5 to be diffused outwards from the reservoir 5 and thus outwards from the diffuser 2. The orifices 6 are preferably located on the outer side wall of the reservoir 5 (as seen in Figure 3) and / or on the upper wall of the reservoir 5 (not shown in Figure 3). The orifices 6 of the reservoir 5 can be opened or closed by a movable shutter 7, which, in Figure 3, is in the position of closing the aroma diffusion orifices 6.The movable shutter 7 may include orifices 70 which, in Figure 3, are offset from the aroma diffusion orifices 6 of the reservoir 5, so that the shutter 7 keeps these aroma diffusion orifices 6 of the reservoir 5 closed. The movable shutter 7 will then rotate around the vertical axis Z in the direct direction of rotation to move into the position of opening the aroma diffusion orifices 6 (as shown in Figure 4).
[0231] The diffuser 2 is positioned around the neck 4 of the bottle 1, so as to prevent its translation along the vertical axis Z, by the simple elasticity of the partially annular shape of the diffuser 2 and the reservoir 5. This allows the diffuser 2 and the reservoir 5 to clip around the neck 4 of the bottle 1, under the collar 41 of the neck 4 of this bottle 1, and even between the collar 41 and the conical shape 10 of the body of the bottle 1. Advantageously, the height of the diffuser 2 is approximately equal to the distance between the collar 41 and the conical shape 10 of the body of the bottle 1 so as to remain in a stable, or even stationary, position around the neck 4 of the bottle 1. The application of a very limited but deliberate force by the user allows the diffuser 2 to be released and moved away from the neck 4 of the bottle 1.
[0232] The reservoir 5 and / or the diffuser 2 is partially annular in shape, completing between 60% and 90% of a full rotation around its axis (as illustrated in Figure 3). This achieves a good compromise between, on the one hand, the positional stability of the reservoir 5 and the diffuser 2 around the neck 4 of the bottle 1, and on the other hand, a sufficiently large clearance space in the empty area where the missing part (the hole) of the annular shape is located. This space is designed to receive the cap 3 once it has been unscrewed and removed from the neck 4 of the bottle 1, even when the cap 3 remains attached to a safety ring 30 located around the neck 4 of the bottle 1 by a relatively short link 31.
[0233] The aroma diffusion holes 6 are evenly distributed around the vertical axis Z of the annular or partially annular shape. Thus, regardless of the position of the fingers of the user's hand holding the bottle 1 when the user drinks the contents of the bottle 1, the aroma diffusion around the neck 4 of the bottle 1, towards the nose of the user drinking the contents of the bottle 1, remains significant, even if a minority of these diffusion holes 6 might be temporarily blocked by one or more of the user's fingers covering them at that moment. There are at least 4, 6, or 10 aroma diffusion holes.
[0234] In one option, at least reservoir 5, and preferably also diffuser 2, is or are made of natural cellulose. This makes reservoir 5 and / or diffuser 2 less expensive and more environmentally friendly, as they are more easily recyclable.
[0235] Figure 4 schematically represents a side view of the drinking device in the figure
[0236] 3 comprising an aroma diffuser according to the invention, for a first type of shutter, in the position of opening the aroma diffusion orifices.
[0237] In Figure 4, a cylindrical bottle 1 terminates at the top, along the Z-axis, with a neck
[0238] 4 of the bottle 1 also cylindrical having an external thread 40 of the neck 4 surrounding the neck 4, external thread 40 under which is a collar 41 of the neck 4 which is annular. The annular collar 41 encircles the neck 4, either continuously or via several outwardly facing protrusions radially distributed around the neck 4. Between the external thread 40 and the annular collar 41 is a ring 30, also annular, which is connected by a tab-type safety link 31 to the cap 3. The cap 3 has an internal thread corresponding to the external thread 40 of the neck 4, allowing the cap 3 to screw onto the neck 4. The annular ring 30 also encircles the neck 4. The neck 4 terminates at its top with an opening 43 through which the liquid contained in the bottle can flow out of the bottle 1, towards the outside of the bottle 1.
[0239] The aroma diffuser 2 is annular and includes an aroma reservoir 5, also annular. The orifices 6 of the reservoir 5 can be opened or closed by a movable shutter 7, which, in Figure 4, is in the position of opening the aroma diffusion orifices 6.The movable shutter 7 may include orifices 70 which, in Figure 4, are superimposed on the aroma diffusion orifices 6 of the reservoir 5, so that the shutter 7 keeps these aroma diffusion orifices 6 of the reservoir 5 open. Advantageously, the orifices 70 of the shutter 7 are larger than the aroma diffusion orifices 6 of the reservoir 5 so as to completely cover and even exceed these aroma diffusion orifices 6 of the reservoir 5. The movable shutter 7 will then rotate about the vertical axis Z in the indirect direction of rotation (opposite direction of rotation to the direction of rotation of Figure 3) to move into the position of closing the aroma diffusion orifices 6 (as shown in Figure 3).
[0240] Once the movable annular shutter 7 is installed around the reservoir 5, i.e. either clipped to the outside of the reservoir 5, or fitted around the reservoir 5, this shutter 7 is movable, relative to the reservoir 5, between, on the one hand, a position of simultaneous closure of all the orifices
[0241] 6, thus preventing the diffusion of aroma outside the reservoir 5, and on the other hand a position of simultaneous opening of all the orifices 6 allowing the diffusion of aroma outside the reservoir 5, on the one hand around the neck 4 of the bottle 1, and on the other hand also towards the top of this bottle 1.
[0242] To obtain the position corresponding to the simultaneous closure of all orifices 6, thus preventing aroma diffusion from the reservoir 5, the movable shutter 7 is rotated around the vertical axis Z so that the orifices 70 are no longer aligned with the diffusion orifices 6 of the reservoir 5. This allows the solid wall of the movable shutter 7 to cover and thus close the diffusion orifices 6 of the reservoir 5. This design resembles a salt shaker mechanism with a rotating lid. In fact, the shutter 7 of the reservoir 5 is movable relative to the reservoir 5 by rotation around an axis of rotation Z parallel to the axis of the annular shape of the reservoir 5.
[0243] The movable shutter 7 can cover and thus close the diffusion orifices 6 of the reservoir 5, whether these are located on the side wall of the reservoir 5 or on the top wall of the reservoir 5. This is achieved simply by having a cylindrical shape with an annular face when the movable shutter rotates. In another embodiment, the movable shutter could move in translation; its shape would simply need to be adapted.
[0244] Figure 5 schematically represents a top view of an example of an aroma diffuser according to the invention, with a shutter, and with a first type of aroma reservoir, in an intermediate position between the open position of the aroma diffusion orifices and the closed position of the aroma diffusion orifices. The aroma diffuser 2 comprises a shutter 7 mounted on an aroma reservoir 5.
[0245] The shutter 7 and the aroma reservoir 5 both have a partially annular shape.
[0246] The aroma reservoir 5 is essentially formed by a hollow body 100, also partially annular in shape. The hollow body 100 comprises an internal volume 110 in which the aroma reservoir (not shown in Figure 5) is installed. The hollow body 100 includes aroma diffusion ports 6 from the internal volume 110 of the hollow body 100 to the outside of the hollow body 100, i.e., from the aroma reservoir located inside the aroma reservoir 5 to the outside of the aroma reservoir 5.
[0247] The shutter 7 rotates around the Z-axis and also rotates around the aroma reservoir 5 by sliding in the hollow part 107 of the hollow body 100. The hollow part 107 of the hollow body 100 is located on the outer periphery of the hollow body 100. The user can easily rotate the shutter 7 using a gripping member 700. The shutter 7 has a gripping member 700, located in the middle of the shutter 7, on its outer face opposite its inner face in contact with the aroma reservoir 5, in the form of a protrusion, allowing the shutter 7 to be moved relative to the reservoir 5 by a rotational movement of the shutter 7 around the reservoir 5.
[0248] When the obturator 7 comes against the stop 109, the orifices 70 of the obturator 7 are opposite the orifices 6 of the hollow body 100 of the reservoir 5, these orifices 6 being then open, and the aroma can be diffused out of the reservoir 5, with the greatest gaseous diffusion rate.
[0249] When the obturator 7 comes against the stop 108, the orifices 70 of the obturator 7 are no longer opposite the orifices 6 of the hollow body 100 of the reservoir 5, these orifices 6 being then closed, and the aroma can no longer be diffused to the outside of the reservoir 5, so the gaseous diffusion rate is zero or practically zero (except for gas leaks).
[0250] When the obturator 7 is located between the stop 108 and the stop 109, the orifices 70 of the obturator 7 are partially opposite the orifices 6 of the hollow body 100 of the reservoir 5, these orifices 6 being then partially open, and the aroma can be diffused out of the reservoir 5, but at a gaseous diffusion rate which is less than the maximum gaseous diffusion rate.
[0251] Figure 6 schematically represents an exploded view of an example of an aroma diffuser according to the invention, with a shutter, and with a first type of aroma reservoir. The aroma reservoir 5 comprises a hollow body 100 itself formed of two parts 101 and 102 that can be coupled together. The two parts 101 and 102 are complementary half-toruses, each half-torus having a half-section but a full perimeter relative to the hollow body 100. Part 101 clips into part 102, for example, by means of two male clips 103 located at the two ends of the annular part 101, which respectively clip into the two female openings 104 located at the two ends of the annular part 102.
[0252] Before assembling the two parts 101 and 102, the aroma reservoir 79 is inserted into one of the parts 101 or 102. After assembling the two parts 101 and 102, the shutter 7 is then clipped into the hollow portion 107 of the newly formed hollow body 100. The aroma reservoir 79 can be of various types. This aroma reservoir 79 is advantageously ready to diffuse its aroma when the parts 101 and 102 are assembled or joined together to form the hollow body 100. For example, if the reservoir 79 includes an aroma capsule, this is opened by the user pressing it between their fingers before the parts 101 and 102 are assembled together to close the hollow body 100.
[0253] The removable obturator 7 of the hollow body 100, as well as the two parts 101 and 102 of the hollow body 100 of the reservoir 5, form the reusable elements of the diffuser 2.
[0254] The 79 aroma reserve forms the consumable element of the reservoir 5 and the diffuser 2.
[0255] The embodiment of figure 6 could use a nesting rather than a clipping, this nesting would then be done for example over the entire perimeter of the two annular shapes of parts 101 and 102. Other assembly methods can alternatively be used.
[0256] Figure 7 schematically represents a perspective view of an example of an aroma diffuser according to the invention, with a shutter, and with a first type of aroma reservoir, in an intermediate position between the opening position of the aroma diffusion orifices and the closing position of the aroma diffusion orifices.
[0257] The shutter 7 is in an intermediate position between the open and closed positions of the aroma diffusion orifices 6 of the reservoir 5, these orifices 6 being then half open, which allows the aroma to be diffused out of the reservoir 5 of the diffuser 2, from the reserve 79, but with a reduced flow rate compared to the maximum flow rate corresponding to the diffusion orifices 6 fully open when the orifices 70 of the shutter 7 are exactly opposite these orifices 6.
[0258] Figure 8 schematically represents a view of an example of an aroma capsule implemented in an example of a second alternative type of aroma reservoir, shown in Figures 9 and 10, for use with an aroma diffuser according to the invention.
[0259] The flavor capsule 76 contains a liquid flavor 78 surrounded by a membrane 77 that opens when the user applies pressure to the capsule 76, for example, by squeezing it between their fingers. To facilitate this, the membrane 77 advantageously incorporates lines of weakness that tear under the applied pressure. Once the membrane 77 is opened, the liquid flavor 78 can then be released into the reservoir 79.
[0260] Figure 9 schematically represents a disassembled top view of an example of a second alternative type of aroma reservoir for use with an aroma diffuser according to the invention.
[0261] The reservoir 79 includes in its middle an aroma capsule 76 itself surrounded by a waterproof sleeve 120. When the user presses the aroma capsule 76, it opens and its aroma spreads into the reservoir 79 by flowing out of the two ends of the sleeve 120, but therefore without wetting the fingers of the user pressing the sleeve 120.
[0262] The hollow body 100 is formed of two parts 101 and 102 that can be coupled together. The two parts 101 and 102 are complementary half-toruses, each half-torus having a complete cross-section but only half a perimeter relative to the hollow body 100. The male part 102, slightly narrower at its end, fits into the female part 101, which is slightly wider at its end.
[0263] Before assembling the two parts 101 and 102, the first half (right in Figure 9) of the aroma reservoir 79 is inserted into the male part 101. Then the second half (left in Figure 9) of the aroma reservoir 79 is inserted into the female part 102, until only the sleeve 120 remains visible and accessible between the two parts, male 101 and female 102. Next, the user squeezes the sleeve 120 between their fingers, which opens the capsule 76 and releases its aroma. However, the aroma is released only into the reservoir 79 itself, which is already inside the hollow body 100, through the two open ends of the sleeve 120, but without leaking through the wall of the sleeve 120, as this wall is impermeable. Finally, the user completes the fitting of the male part 101 into the female part 102 to completely close the hollow body 100. All that remains is to assemble the obturator 7 to the reservoir 5 thus formed to have the diffuser 2 operational. The aroma reservoir 79 could also be of different types. This aroma reservoir 79 is advantageously ready to diffuse its aroma when parts 101 and 102 are assembled or coupled together to form the hollow body 100.
[0264] The embodiment shown in Figure 9 could use a clipping mechanism rather than a snap-fit connection. This clipping would then occur, for example, at the two ends 105 and 106 of the parts 101 and 102 intended to come into contact with each other. Other assembly methods can alternatively be used.
[0265] Figure 10 schematically represents an assembled top view of an example of a second alternative type of aroma reservoir for use with an aroma diffuser according to the invention.
[0266] The open capsule 76 has released its liquid aroma into the reservoir 79 through the two open ends of the impermeable sleeve 120 (whose cylindrical wall is impermeable, but not its open ends!). This aroma reservoir 79, located within the internal volume 110 of the hollow body 100, is ready to diffuse its aroma through the orifices 6 of the hollow body 100 of the reservoir 5, as soon as the orifices 70 of the obturator 7 are aligned with the orifices 6 of the reservoir 5.
[0267] The obturator 7 with its orifices 70 rotate around the Z axis and the hollow body 100 of the reservoir 5 having diffusion orifices 6 from a stop 108, where the diffusion orifices 6 are open because they are opposite the orifices 70 of the obturator 7, to a stop 109, where the diffusion orifices 6 are closed because they are offset relative to the orifices 70 of the obturator 7. The stops 108 and 109 are the faces of the protrusion of the female part 102 of the hollow body 100 which has a larger diameter than the male part 101 which it receives within itself.
