[0025] Hereinafter, embodiments of a communication device-equipped component and a rod-shaped body and a fishing rod equipped with the same according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Components common to multiple drawings are designated by the same reference numerals throughout the drawings. Please note that the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale for ease of explanation.

[0026] FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating the basic configuration of a fishing rod according to one embodiment of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the fishing rod 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a rod body 2, a fishing reel 6 that has a communication device installed inside the rod body 2 and is attached to the rod body 2 via a component (e.g., a reel seat 9) attached to the rod body 2, and a fishing line guide 10 attached to the rod body 2. In the illustrated embodiment, the reel seat 9 and the fishing line guide 10 each correspond to attachment components attached to the outer periphery of the rod body. Here, the fishing rod according to one embodiment of the present invention is composed of the rod body 2 and a component that has a communication device installed inside the rod body 2 and is attached to the rod body 2, but may also include other components. Details of the fishing rod (rod structure) according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described later.

[0027] The rod body 2 is constructed by connecting, for example, a butt rod 3, a middle rod 5, and a tip rod 7. These rod bodies are joined, for example, using a straight joint. The butt rod 3, middle rod 5, and tip rod 7 can be joined using a telescoping system, a reverse straight joint system, a spigot joint system, or any other known joining system. The rod body 2 may also be constructed from a single rod body.

[0028] The butt rod 3, middle rod 5, and tip rod 7 are each constructed, for example, as a tubular body made of CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic). This CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) tubular body is made by winding a fiber reinforced resin prepreg (prepreg sheet) made by impregnating reinforcing fibers with a matrix resin around a core and then heating and curing the prepreg sheet. Carbon fiber is used as the reinforcing fiber contained in the prepreg sheet. A thermosetting resin such as epoxy resin can be used as the matrix resin contained in the prepreg sheet. After the prepreg sheet has cured, the core is removed. The outer surface of the tubular body is also polished as appropriate. Each rod body may be constructed in a solid shape.

[0029] In the illustrated embodiment, the butt rod 3, middle rod 5, and tip rod 7 are provided with a plurality of line guides 10 (line guides 10A to 10D) that guide the fishing line that is let out from the reel 6 attached to the reel seat 9. More specifically, the butt rod 3 is provided with line guide 10A, the middle rod 5 is provided with line guide 10B, and the tip rod 7 is provided with line guide 10C. A top guide 10D is provided at the tip of the tip rod 7, but details will be omitted.

[0030] Next, referring to FIG. 2 , a component 11 equipped with a communication device and mounted on the exterior of the fishing rod 2 in a fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described. In the example shown in FIG. 2 , the communication device-equipped component 11 in the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention is, for example, a reel seat 9 including a reel seat body 12 and a nut 8, and a communication device (communication device) 15 (described later) is built into the reel seat body 12. The communication device-equipped component 11 in the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention is the reel seat 9, which includes a reel leg mounting surface (reel leg mounting portion) 12a along its axial direction on which the reel leg 6a of the fishing reel 6 is mounted. The reel seat body 12 is formed into a cylindrical shape as a whole. The reel seat body 12 is also formed from synthetic resin or wood. The reel seat body 12 can be configured to have a length of, for example, 60-160 mm, but is not limited to this.

[0031] The reel seat body 12 also has a grip portion 12b with a slightly bulged side opposite the reel leg mounting surface 12a, which has a curved outer surface that supports the ball of the foot or its vicinity when gripped with the hand. The reel leg mounting surface 12a of the reel seat body 12 can be formed flat or substantially flat with a greater curvature than other circumferential portions of the reel seat body 12 adjacent to the reel leg mounting surface 12a (e.g., the grip portion 12b), and is formed to extend in the axial direction of the reel seat body 12 shown in FIG. 2. A fixed hood 14 is integrally disposed at one end (the rod base side) of the reel seat body 12. One end of the reel leg mounting surface 12a of the reel seat body 12 is disposed within the fixed hood 14.

[0032] The reel seat body 12 is integrally formed with a cylindrical body with a guide groove formed at its other end (rod butt side) and a threaded portion (male threaded portion) 18. The cylindrical body has a cylindrical portion mounting surface 13 formed contiguous with the reel leg mounting surface 12a of the reel seat body 12 or with a slight step therebetween. At the other end (rod butt side), a movable hood 22 is axially movably attached to the outside of the cylindrical body and the threaded portion 18. The reel seat body 12 and the movable hood 22, or the reel seat body 12, the movable hood 22, and the nut 8 described below, are sometimes collectively referred to as the reel seat 9, but details are omitted. The movable hood 22 may also refer to the hood body 26 and the reel leg holder 28 described below, or may also refer to the movable hood 22 together with the nut 8. When the nut 8 is rotated in the forward direction, the nut 8 approaches the fixed hood 14, and the hood body 26 of the movable hood 22 approaches the fixed hood 14. On the other hand, when the nut 8 is rotated in the opposite direction relative to the threaded portion (male threaded portion) 18 , the nut 8 moves away from the fixed hood 14 and the hood body 26 of the movable hood 22 moves away from the fixed hood 14 .

[0033] Furthermore, the fixed hood 14 of the reel seat body 12 has an opening 14a that opens toward the movable hood 22 and receives one end of the reel leg 6a. The opening 14a of the fixed hood 14 is formed so that the height of the inner surface gradually decreases toward the front of the reel seat body 12. When one end of the reel leg 6a is received in this opening 14a and pressed by the opening 14a, the reel leg 6a is urged (pressed) toward the reel leg mounting surface 12a disposed within the fixed hood 14. The hood body 26, which is moved in the axial direction of the reel seat body 12 by rotation of the nut 8, has an opening 26a that opens toward the front and inner peripheral sides and is fixed with a reel leg holder 28 disposed therein that receives the rear end of the reel leg 6a of the fishing reel 6.

[0034] Next, with reference to Figure 3, a description will be given of a fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention, in which a communication device (communication apparatus) 15 is provided inside and a component (communication device-equipped component) 11 attached to the outside of the fishing rod body 2. Figure 3(a) is a diagram illustrating the basic structure of the communication device-equipped component 11 in the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention, and Figure 3(b) is a diagram illustrating the internal structure (using the foregrip as an example) of the communication device-equipped component 11 in the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention. In the example shown in Figure 3(a), the communication device-equipped component 11 in the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention is, for example, a grip (the foregrip 16 or the rear grip 17 in the example shown in Figure 3(a)), and a communication device (communication apparatus) 15 (described later) is built into the foregrip 16 or the rear grip 17 (the foregrip 16 and the rear grip 17 in the illustrated example). In the fishing rod according to one embodiment of the present invention, the communication device (communication device) 15 is provided inside, and the component (communication device-integrated component) 11 attached to the outside of the fishing rod body 2 may be a component formed by integrating the aforementioned reel seat 9 and grip (the same applies throughout this specification). Here, the grip may be made of a material that has a low apparent density and is buoyant in freshwater and seawater. Examples of such a material include resins with a closed-cell structure such as EVA, natural cork, and natural wood. In the case of EVA, an apparent density of 100 to 380 kg / m 3 without a solid skin layer is preferable. 3 and more preferably 230 to 380 kg / m 3 The hardness of natural cork is preferably in the range of 65 to 80 degrees. 3A hardness of about 40 degrees is desirable. As shown in FIG. 3( b), the communication device-equipped component 11 in the fishing rod according to one embodiment of the present invention is, for example, a foregrip 16, and is configured to include a through-hole (through-hole) 11a through which the fishing rod is inserted and an attachment portion 11b that has an inner circumferential surface that defines the through-hole 11a and is attached to the fishing rod. When the communication device-equipped component 11 in the fishing rod according to one embodiment of the present invention is a rear grip 17, a recess (not shown) is formed in the bottom and peripheral wall of the rear grip 17 so that the fishing rod can be inserted and placed thereon, rather than the through-hole 11a through which the fishing rod is inserted.

[0035] Next, referring to Figure 4, a description will be given of a component (communication device-equipped component) 11 mounted on the exterior of a fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention, which has a communication device (communication apparatus) 15 provided therein. Figure 4(a) is a diagram illustrating the basic structure of the communication device-equipped component 11 in the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention, and Figure 4(b) is a diagram illustrating the internal structure (using a reel seat as an example) of the communication device-equipped component 11 in the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention. The communication device-equipped component 11 in the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention is, for example, at least one of the grip (rear grip 17) or the reel seat 9 ( Figure 4(b) shows a partial structure of the reel seat 9), and the communication device (communication apparatus) 15, which will be described later, is built into at least one of the rear grip 17 or the reel seat main body 12 of the reel seat 9 (in the illustrated example, the rear grip 17 and the reel seat main body 12 of the reel seat 9). In the fishing rod according to one embodiment of the present invention, the communication device (communication device) 15 is provided inside, and the component (communication device-equipped component) 11 attached to the outside of the fishing rod body 2 may be a member formed by integrating the reel seat 9 and the grip (the same applies throughout this specification). Also, as shown in Figure 4(b), the communication device-equipped component 11 in the fishing rod according to one embodiment of the present invention is configured to include a through-hole 11a through which the fishing rod body is inserted, and an attachment portion 11b that has an inner circumferential surface that defines the through-hole 11a and is attached to the fishing rod body.

[0036] Next, the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be further described with reference to Figures 5 to 8. Figure 5 is a cross-sectional view illustrating the structure of the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention. Figure 6 is a diagram illustrating the structure of the communication device-equipped component 11 in the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention. Figure 7 is a diagram illustrating the communication device (communication device) 15 of the communication device-equipped component 11 in the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention. Figure 8 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of a portion of the structure of the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention. Figure 9 is a cross-sectional view illustrating the structure of the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention. As shown in Figures 5, 6, and 7, a fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a fishing rod body 2 and a component (communication device-embedded component) 11 attached to the exterior (outer periphery) of the fishing rod body 2 and containing a communication device 15. The component (communication device-embedded component) 11 is made of a material that is resistant to magnetic field interference. The fishing rod body 2 is made of at least one of CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) and GFRP (glass fiber reinforced plastic) (i.e., both CFRP and GFRP may be used). The communication device 15 is a short-range wireless communication board including a communication antenna 18 and an IC chip 19. In addition, in the fishing rod according to one embodiment of the present invention, the communication device 15 is configured so as not to require power from an external device. Here, the communication device 15 refers to a board (short-range wireless communication board) that has short-range wireless communication capabilities for data writing and individual identification purposes and does not require power from an external device (the same applies throughout this specification). The communication antenna 18 supplies the IC chip with a stray electromotive force generated by a given magnetic field and transmits information from the IC chip, and the IC chip 19 processes the information. The communication device (communication apparatus) 15 may also include electronic components such as an adhesive layer, a base film layer, and a passive element section, and a protective film may be applied around the electronic components. The communication device (communication apparatus) 15 may also include a sensor module, a storage module, and the like that can operate without receiving power from an external source by using environmental power generation.

[0037] According to a fishing rod according to one embodiment of the present invention, even when the rod body is made of a material susceptible to electromagnetic interference, it is possible to provide a fishing rod equipped with a built-in communication device that combines both communication capability and durability in the actual use environment of fishing. More specifically, as an electrical factor, materials that cause electromagnetic interference generate magnetic fields during communication, generating eddy currents. The "reaction magnetic flux" caused by these eddy currents weakens the magnetic flux required for communication, thereby impeding communication. In contrast, by providing a material that is less susceptible to magnetic field interference between the communication device and the rod body (tube body) material, as in the fishing rod according to one embodiment of the present invention, the "reaction magnetic flux" is not generated, thereby ensuring communication. Furthermore, as a physical factor, when the communication device is housed inside a component made of a material including a closed-cell foam, it is protected from external forces and seawater, reducing the possibility of damage. Here, the material that is less susceptible to magnetic field interference is a semiconductor or nonconductor, preferably one with an electrical resistivity of 10 or higher. 5 The material is a material with a resistance of Ω·m or more, specifically a synthetic resin or wood, and more preferably a foamed synthetic resin such as EVA or PE, natural wood, or cork, which has properties such as a feel, grip, and design suitable for use as a fishing tackle component material (the same applies throughout this specification).

[0038] In the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the communication device built-in component 11 is configured to be at least one of a grip for holding or a fishing reel seat.

[0039] As shown in FIG. 6 , in a fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the communication device-integrated component 11 includes a storage section 21 therein, and the storage section 21 is configured to store a short-range wireless communication board serving as a communication device (communication device) 15. In the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the storage section 21 includes a lid 23 for storing or removing the short-range wireless communication board. The communication device (communication device) 15, which is a short-range wireless communication board, is stored in the storage section 21 after removing or shifting the lid 23. The lid 23 is fixed and sealed to the communication device-integrated component 11 by coating it with an adhesive or, to improve appearance, with an adhesive mixed with a powder material formed by grinding the same material as the communication device-integrated component 11. The short-range wireless communication board, or communication device (communication device) 15, may be curved to fit the shape of the storage section 21, but from the perspective of communication efficiency, it is preferable to store it flat or approximately flat in the storage section without bending it. As mentioned above, as an electrical factor, in materials that cause electromagnetic interference, eddy currents are generated by generating a magnetic field during communication. The "reaction magnetic flux" caused by this eddy current weakens the magnetic flux that is actually necessary for communication, thereby hindering communication. In contrast, by providing a material that is less susceptible to magnetic field interference between the communication device and the rod (tube) material, as in the case of the fishing rod of one embodiment of the present invention, the "reaction magnetic flux" is not generated, thereby ensuring communication. Furthermore, as a physical factor, when the communication device is housed inside a component made of a material containing closed-cell foam, it is protected from external forces, seawater, etc., thereby reducing the possibility of damage.

[0040] In the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the communication device built-in component 11 is made of EVA resin, cork, or wood.

[0041] In the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the communication device-equipped component 11 has an insertion portion into which the fishing rod is inserted, and the insertion portion is formed by a through-hole (corresponding to the above-mentioned through-hole portion (through-hole portion) 11a) or a recess (corresponding to the above-mentioned recess). In addition, in the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the outer diameter of the component is in the range of 17 mm to 40 mm.

[0042] In one embodiment of the fishing rod 20, the communication antenna 18 of the communication device 15, which is a substrate for short-range wireless communication, includes an energy converter and a passive element, and the energy converter and the passive element are arranged inside the part so that their lengths in the axial direction of the rod are greater than their lengths in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the rod. In this way, the device can be arranged regardless of the taper or outer diameter of the rod (even in thinner parts).

[0043] 8, in a fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the communication antenna 18 of the communication device (communication apparatus) 15, which is the short-range wireless communication substrate, includes an energy converter and a passive element unit, and the short-range wireless communication substrate is disposed inside the component 11 so that the minimum length (X) from the IC chip 19 to the outer surface of the communication device-containing component 11 is greater than the minimum length (Y) from the communication antenna 18 (the energy converter or the passive element unit) to the outer surface of the communication device-containing component 11. Here, the minimum length (X) from the IC chip 19 to the outer surface of the communication device-containing component 11 is in the range of 5 mm to 8 mm, and the minimum length (Y) from the communication antenna 18 (the energy converter or the passive element unit) to the outer surface of the communication device-containing component 11 is in the range of 2 mm to 5 mm. In this way, even if an inward force is generated from the outside on the communication device built-in component 11, sufficient thickness can be ensured between the IC chip 19, which is more sensitive to deformation than the communication antenna 18, and the communication device built-in component 11, making it possible to prevent or reduce the effects of deformation.

[0044] 8, in the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the communication device 15, which is a short-range wireless communication substrate, is disposed inside the communication device-containing component 11 so that the minimum distance (Z) between the communication device 15, which is a short-range wireless communication substrate, and the outer surface of the fishing rod body 2 is 0.5 mm or more when the communication device 15 is stored in the storage section 21 of the communication device-containing component 11. In this way, it is possible to prevent or reduce the effects of electromagnetic interference.

[0045] 3(a), 4(a), and 9, in the fishing rod 20 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the communication device 15, which is a board for short-range wireless communication, may be composed of a plurality of communication devices 15, which are a plurality of boards. In this case, a plurality (two or more) of the storage sections 21 are provided, and each of the plurality of communication devices 15, which are a plurality of boards, is stored in a respective one of the plurality of storage sections. In the example shown in FIG. 3(a), one communication device 15 is provided on each of the foregrip 16 and the rear grip 17 (a total of two communication devices 15). In the example shown in FIG. 4(a), one communication device 15 is provided on each of the reel seat 9 and the rear grip 17 (a total of two communication devices 15). In the example shown in FIG. 9, two communication devices 15 are provided on one side and the other side of the fishing rod body 2 so as to face each other (a total of two communication devices 15). However, the locations and number of communication devices 15 are not limited to these.
