Abstract

A battery cell according to the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly in which a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator interposed therebetween are wound around a winding axis; a can housing having an open end portion so that the electrode assembly can be inserted therein; a cell terminal which is electrically connected to the first electrode, and which is provided in a closed portion of the can housing positioned on the opposite side of the open end portion; an electrode current collector plate which is electrically connected to the second electrode and which is in contact with the inner side surface of the open end portion; and a can lead mutually coupled with the open end portion so as to seal the can housing, wherein the can lead includes a lead side surface portion forming the outer circumference thereof, and the lead side surface portion can be fitted and coupled to the inner side surface of the open end portion with an electrode current collector plate end portion, interposed therebetween, forming the outermost edge of the electrode current collector plate.
