Abstract

A target shooting method which includes composing a first shooting team and assigning a first set of shooters to the first shooting team, composing a second shooting team and assigning a second set of shooters to the second shooting team, allocating weapons to the first and second set of shooters, defining and conducting a shooting challenge, deciding a winning team for the shooting challenge, issuing a reward to for the winning team for example an immunity reward, and recording and broadcasting of the target shooting method.

Description

[0002] This invention relates to a target shooting method.

[0003] In this specification, the term “shooter” should be broadly interpreted to include a hunter.

[0004] Summary of the Invention:

[0005] According to a first aspect of the invention, there is provided a target shooting method which includes: composing a first shooting team by assigning a first set of shooters to the first shooting team; composing a second shooting team by assigning a second set of shooters to the second shooting team; defining a shooting challenge to be conducted by the first and the second shooting teams; conducting of the shooting challenge by the first and second shooting teams; and deciding a winning team and a losing team for the shooting challenge.

[0006] The method may include issuing a reward to the winning team of the shooting challenge. The reward may include any one or more of: an immunity reward, for example an immunity coin; a swap-out reward whereby the shooters may be swapped out, for example a swap-out coin; an immunity bracelet; an immunity medal; and reward ammunition, for example reserve ammunition and extra ammunition.

[0007] The method may include issuing a penalty to the losing team of the shooting challenge, for example a “no-dinner” penalty or a bread handout penalty, for example a white bread. The method may include allocating at least one weapon to the first shooting team and allocating at least one weapon to the second shooting team.

[0016] The at least one weapon may include any one or more of: a handgun; a dart; a daisy gun; a pellet gun; a bow and arrow; a spear; a sling shot; a small caliber gun; a medium caliber gun; a large caliber gun, and a rifle.

[0017] In one embodiment, the shooting challenge may include a duel and a photography challenge.

[0018] In a preferred embodiment, the shooting challenge may include a challenge wherein a single weapon is used by the first and second shooting teams. In this embodiment, winning team members may choose a shooting partner, for example a professional hunter or spotter, and the reward ammunition is used as “currency”.

[0019] The method may include any one or more of recording and broadcasting of the method as described, for example by way of online streaming. In a preferred embodiment, the recording and broadcasting may be conducted around a fire pit or boma in indaba style. The recording and broadcasting may include an exposition of the first and second set of shooter backgrounds.

[0020] The method may include an education feature, for example a wildlife education insert. To this end, the education feature may be conducted by an expert or specialist in a field of education.

[0026] In figure 1, reference numeral (400) denotes, generally, a target shooting method according to one embodiment of the invention.

[0027] At a first step (401) a first shooting team (104) is composed by assigning a first set of shooting team members to the first shooting team (104), and a first team captain (102) is assigned to the first shooting team (104). Likewise at step (402), a second shooting team (112) is composed by assigning a second set of shooting team members to the second shooting team (112), and a second captain (110) is assigned to the second shooting team (112).

[0028] At step (403), a weapon in the form of a rifle (106) is allocated to the first shooting team (104) and a first challenge is conducted by the first shooting team. In this embodiment, the first challenge is an animal shooting challenge (108). Likewise at step (404), a weapon in the form of a dart (114) is allocated to the second shooting team (112) and a second challenge is conducted by the second shooting team. In this embodiment, the second challenge is a helicopter darting challenge (116).

Claims

Claims:

1. A target shooting method comprising: composing a first shooting team by assigning a first set of shooters to the first shooting team; composing a second shooting team by assigning a second set of shooters to the second shooting team; defining a shooting challenge to be conducted by the first and the second shooting teams; conducting of the shooting challenge by the first and second shooting teams; and deciding a winning team and a losing team for the shooting challenge.

The target shooting method of claim 1 which includes a step of issuing a reward to the winning team of the shooting challenge, the reward being selected from the group consisting of: an immunity reward, for example an immunity coin; a swap-out reward whereby the shooters may be swapped out, for example a swap-out coin; an immunity bracelet; an immunity medal; and reward ammunition, for example reserve ammunition and extra ammunition.

3. The target shooting method of claim 2 which includes a step of issuing a penalty to the losing team of the shooting challenge, the penalty being selected from the group consisting of: a “no-dinner” penalty and a bread handout penalty.

4. The target shooting method of claim 2 or claim 3 which includes a step of allocating at least one weapon to the first shooting team and allocating at least one weapon to the second shooting team.

5. The target shooting method of claim 4 which includes a step of allocating at least one target to the first shooting team and allocating at least one target to the second shooting team.

6. The target shooting method of claim 5 which includes a step of assigning a first team captain to the first shooting team and a second team captain to the second shooting team.

The target shooting method of claim 6 wherein deciding of the winning team and the losing team includes judging the first and second shooting teams, a judging being selected from the group consisting of: conducted by any one of the group selected from: a celebrity judge, a first and second shooting team member, and a first and second team captain.

8. The method of claim 7 which includes an eliminator character, or so-called poacher, whose identity is not disclosed.

9. The method of claim 8 which the includes any one of the first and second shooting teams performing a knock-out or so-called shoot-out challenge.

10. The method of claim 9 which includes a step of voting by any one of the first and second set of shooters of the respective first and second shooting teams.

11. The method of claim 10 which includes a step of adding or removing shooters to any one or more of the first and second shooting teams at a stage of the shooting challenge.

The method of any one of claims 5 to 11 wherein the shooting challenge includes any one or more challenges selected from the group consisting of: a weapon cleaning challenge against time; a weapon assembly and disassembly challenge; a boomerang challenge; a paintball challenge; a meat processing challenge; a mouth whistle by fireplace challenge; a panga challenge; a field guide challenge; a firefighting challenge; a tug of war challenge; a footprint tracking challenge; a gun-reload challenge; a fence fixing challenge; a helicopter darting challenge; an animal quiz challenge; a distance shooting challenge for example a 50m and a 100m shooting challenge; a stalking challenge; a target scoping challenge; a vehicle wheel replacement challenge; a compass navigation challenge; a poaching challenge; an army drill challenge; a wildlife challenge; a knifesharpening challenge; a taxidermy challenge; a horse-riding challenge; a hide set-upchallenge; a tent-pitch challenge; a snake-catching challenge; a star-gazing challenge; an amateur radio challenge; a clay pigeon shooting challenge; and a cooking challenge.

13. The method of claim 12 wherein the at least one weapon includes any one or more of a weapon selected from the group consisting of: a handgun; a dart; a daisy gun; a pellet gun; a bow and arrow; a spear; a sling shot; a small caliber gun; a medium caliber gun; a large caliber gun, and a rifle.

14. The method of claim 13 wherein the shooting challenge includes a duel.

15. The method of claim 13 wherein the shooting challenge includes a photography challenge.

16. The method of claim 13 wherein the shooting challenge includes a challenge wherein a single weapon is used by the first and second shooting teams and wherein the winning team members choose a shooting partner and the reward ammunition is used as “currency”.

17. The method of claim 13 which includes the step of recording and broadcasting of the target shooting method, which broadcasting includes streaming.

18. The method of claim 13 which includes providing an education insert being conducted by an expert in a field of education.

19. The method of claim 13 which includes a step of donating to charity.
