Abstract

The present invention identifies hematopoietic cell types at low cost under low mechanical stress to hematopoietic cells. This cell type identification method comprises: an acquisition step (S01) for acquiring refractive index data representing three-dimensional refractive index values including the values for portions containing hematopoietic cells; a feature calculation step (S02) for extracting, as a portion associated with a hematopoietic cell, a portion of which the refractive index value represented by the refractive index data acquired in the acquisition step is greater than a preset refractive index value, and calculating the feature of the extracted portion; and a type identification step (S03) for identifying the type of the hematopoietic cell from the feature calculated in the feature calculation step on the basis of an identification model prepared in advance.
