[0005] Agent for oxidative color modification of keratinous fibers containing hydrogen peroxide, persulfate, complexing agent and aminoalkylsulfonic acid

[0006] The present invention lies in the field of cosmetics and relates to agents for the oxidative color modification of keratinous fibers, in particular human hair. These agents are characterized in that they contain hydrogen peroxide (a), at least one persulfate (b), at least one complexing agent (c), and at least one aminoalkylsulfonic acid (d).

[0007] A second object of the present invention relates to a method for oxidative color change of keratinous fibers, in particular human hair, wherein an agent of the first object of the invention is applied to the keratin fibers and rinsed off after an exposure time.

[0008] Changing the shape and color of hair is an important aspect of modern cosmetics. Besides dyeing, lightening or bleaching one's hair is a particularly popular desire among many consumers, as blonde hair is considered attractive and fashionable. Various bleaching products with different levels of strength are available on the market for this purpose.

[0009] The oxidizing agents contained in bleaching agents are able to lighten the hair fiber by oxidatively destroying the hair's own pigment, melanin. For a moderate bleaching effect, the use of hydrogen peroxide alone—possibly with the addition of ammonia or other alkalizing agents—is sufficient as the oxidizing agent. To achieve a stronger bleaching effect, a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and peroxodisulfate salts and / or peroxomonosulfate salts is typically used.

[0010] For dark starting hair, longer application times and / or repeated bleaching processes are usually necessary to lighten the hair by several shades.

[0011] When bleaching is carried out with a combination of hydrogen peroxide and peroxodisulfates, a complex reaction takes place, which is more or less exothermic depending on the prevailing reaction conditions. A particularly strong exothermic reaction can be observed especially when the hair to be bleached is heavily contaminated with metals. Copper (Cu) in particular can be found in hair. 2+ ) and iron salts (Fe 2+ and Fe 3+ ) are stored, with their concentrations varying depending on the water quality of the place of residence and the hair condition.

[0012] The metal content in hair typically ranges from 20 to 50 ppm, but in some cases can reach values of up to 1000 ppm. If hair with such high metal concentrations is bleached, the exothermic nature of the reaction can lead to a very unpleasant temperature increase. This temperature increase should be avoided at all costs.

[0013] Typically, complexing agents are used in bleaching agents for this purpose, which complex the existing copper and iron ions and thus prevent an unwanted temperature increase.

[0014] The use of complexing agents in treating oxidative color changes in keratinous fibers is known in the art. Among other things, these complexing agents are intended to prevent the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide by metal ions concentrated in the hair fibers.

[0015] EP 1714634 A1 describes a hair treatment kit for dyeing human hair, comprising a first compartment containing a chelating agent and a second compartment containing the dyeing agent. The use of a chelating agent is intended to prevent undesirable reactions on and with the hair that could lead to unwanted heating.

[0016] Many commercially available bleaching products use EDTA (ethylenediamine tetraacetate) or its salts as complexing agents. EDTA effectively stabilizes hydrogen peroxide and complexes existing metal ions so efficiently that an undesirable temperature increase during application is usually completely avoided. However, in rare cases, if bleaching is performed on hair with excessively high metal content, the reaction temperature can still rise undesirably. A major disadvantage of EDTA is its poor biodegradability. Recently, consumers have been paying increasing attention to the environmental impact of the cosmetic products they use. They increasingly prefer cosmetics that are as sustainable as possible and contain biodegradable ingredients.

[0017] The use of substances of natural origin as complexing agents is also already known in the literature. For example, EP 1462090 A1 describes agents for bleaching, dyeing, or shaping hair that contain a combination of at least one oxidizing agent and at least one polyhydroxycarboxylic acid. Furthermore, EP 1602356 B1 describes bleaching agents or lightening agents in which the biodegradable complexing agent ethylenediamine-N,N'-disuccinic acid is used in combination with a persulfate.

[0018] Excessive temperature increases on the subject's head should be avoided at all costs, and product safety must be guaranteed even for users whose hair is heavily contaminated with metal. Therefore, the objective of this application was to find novel bleaching agents that do not heat up excessively, even when applied to hair with very high metal or heavy metal content. Ideally, the ingredients used in the bleaching agent should also be biodegradable. The bleaching performance should not be negatively affected, but at least comparable, and ideally even improved.

[0019] Surprisingly, it has now been found that this task can be fully solved if a substance is applied to the keratin fibers which, in addition to the combination of hydrogen peroxide (a) and at least one persulfate (b) responsible for the brightening, also contains at least one complexing agent (c) from the list below and at least one aminoalkylsulfonic acid (d).

[0020] A first object of the present invention is an agent for the oxidative color change of keratinous fibers, in particular human hair, comprising

[0021] (a) hydrogen peroxide, and

[0022] (b) at least one persulfate selected from the group consisting of sodium peroxodisulfate, potassium peroxodisulfate and ammonium peroxodisulfate, and

[0023] (c) at least one complexing agent selected from the group consisting of ethylenediamine disuccinate (EDDS), glutamic acid, N,N-diacetic acid (GLDA), N,N-bis(carboxymethyl)-L-alanine (MGDA), ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), hydroxyethylethylenediaminetriacetic acid (HEDTA) and / or their physiologically acceptable salts, and

[0024] (d) at least one aminoalkylsulfonic acid selected from the group consisting of 2-aminoethanesulfonic acid, 2-(N-methylamino)ethanesulfonic acid, 2-(N,N-dimethylaminoethanesulfonic acid, 3-aminopropanesulfonic acid, 3-(N-methylaminopropanesulfonic acid, 3-(N,N-dimethylamino)propanesulfonic acid and / or their salts.

[0025] Keratinous fibers

[0026] Keratinous fibers, also known as keratin fibers, include fur, wool, feathers, and especially human hair. Although these products are primarily suitable for treating or lightening keratin fibers, particularly human hair, there is nothing fundamentally preventing their use in other areas.

[0027] Agents for oxidative color modification of keratinous fibers

[0028] The term "oxidative color change" as used in the invention encompasses, in principle, any possible form of treatment in which the color of the keratin fiber is altered by the application of at least one oxidizing agent. In particular, this invention includes agents for oxidative coloring, lightening coloring, lightening toning, and lightening, whereby lightening can alternatively also be referred to as bleaching or bleaching. Lightening is understood to mean any form of color change of the fibers in which the keratin fibers have a lighter color compared to the color present before the application of the agent. The lightening of the hair is effected by at least one oxidizing agent present in the agent. In addition to the oxidizing agent(s), the compositions according to the invention can, in principle, also contain coloring components, such as oxidation dye precursors and / or direct dyes. The coloring components allow for slight modification of the resulting color during the lightening process. Preferably, however, these coloring components are present in such small quantities in the composition that the color impression of the keratin fibers treated with the composition is still lighter than their original color. Corresponding coloring techniques can also be described as coloring bleaches or nuanced bleaches. The use of oxidation dye precursors is particularly preferred.

[0029] Particularly preferred is a means for bleaching keratinous fibers, especially human hair, containing

[0030] (a) hydrogen peroxide, and

[0031] (b) at least one persulfate selected from the group consisting of sodium peroxodisulfate, potassium peroxodisulfate and ammonium peroxodisulfate, and

[0032] (c) at least one complexing agent selected from the group consisting of ethylenediamine disuccinate (EDDS), glutamic acid, N,N-diacetic acid (GLDA), N,N-bis(carboxymethyl)-L-alanine (MGDA), ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), hydroxyethylethylenediaminetriacetic acid (HEDTA) and / or their physiologically acceptable salts, and

[0033] (d) at least one aminoalkylsulfonic acid selected from the group consisting of 2-aminoethanesulfonic acid, 2-(N-methylamino)ethanesulfonic acid, 2-(N,N-dimethylaminoethanesulfonic acid), 3-aminopropanesulfonic acid, 3-(N-methylaminopropanesulfonic acid, 3-(N,N-dimethylamino)propanesulfonic acid and / or their salts. The term "agent for oxidative lightening or bleaching of keratin fibers" means the ready-to-use agent which, in this form, can be applied to keratin fibers for the purpose of bleaching, lightening, or oxidative color change.

[0034] The composition contains the essential components (a), (b), (c) and (d) of the invention, preferably in a cosmetic carrier. For example, a suitable aqueous, alcoholic, or aqueous-alcoholic carrier can be used as the cosmetic carrier for the composition. For the purpose of bleaching, such carriers include, for example, creams, emulsions, gels, pastes, or surfactant-containing foaming solutions, such as shampoos, foam aerosols, foam formulations, or other preparations suitable for application to the hair.

[0035] hydrogen peroxide (a)

[0036] The first essential component of the invention is hydrogen peroxide (a).

[0037] Hydrogen peroxide may be present in the form of an aqueous solution and / or in the form of one of its solid adsorption products to organic or inorganic compounds such as urea, melamine, and sodium borate.

[0038] In a preferred embodiment, hydrogen peroxide itself is used as an aqueous solution. The concentration of a hydrogen peroxide solution in the composition according to the invention is determined on the one hand by legal requirements and on the other hand by the desired effect; preferably, solutions of 3 to 12 wt% in water are used.

[0039] Preferably, the agents for oxidative color change contain - based on the total weight of the agent - 0.1 to 12.0 wt.%, preferably 0.5 to 10.5 wt.%, more preferably 1.0 to 8.5 wt.%, even more preferably 1.5 to 6.5 wt.%, even more preferably 2.0 to 5.0 wt.% and most preferably 2.5 to 4.0 wt.% hydrogen peroxide (a).

[0041] Persulfates (b)

[0042] As a second essential component of the invention, the composition according to the invention contains at least one persulfate (b) selected from the group consisting of sodium peroxodisulfate, potassium peroxodisulfate, and ammonium peroxodisulfate. Ammonium peroxodisulfate, which can alternatively also be referred to as ammonium persulfate, is understood to be the persulfate with the molecular formula (NH4)2S2Oa.

[0043] Potassium peroxodisulfate, which can alternatively also be called potassium persulfate, refers to the persulfate with the molecular formula K2S2O8.

[0044] Sodium peroxodisulfate, which can alternatively also be called sodium persulfate, refers to the persulfate with the molecular formula Na2S2Os.

[0045] The product can contain one of the persulfates, mixtures of two persulfates, or all three persulfates.

[0046] A preferred composition is one which contains hydrogen peroxide (a) and sodium peroxodisulfate (b) together with the components (c) and (d).

[0047] A preferred composition also includes hydrogen peroxide (a) and potassium peroxodisulfate (b) together with the components (c) and (d).

[0048] A preferred composition also includes hydrogen peroxide (a) and ammonium peroxodisulfate (b) together with components (c) and (d).

[0049] A preferred agent also includes hydrogen peroxide (a), sodium peroxodisulfate and

[0050] potassium peroxodisulfate (b) together with components (c) and (d).

[0051] A preferred agent also includes hydrogen peroxide (a), sodium peroxodisulfate and

[0052] Ammonium peroxodisulfate (b) together with components (c) and (d).

[0053] A preferred agent also includes hydrogen peroxide (a), potassium peroxodisulfate and

[0054] Ammonium peroxodisulfate (b) together with components (c) and (d).

[0055] A preferred agent also includes hydrogen peroxide (a), sodium peroxodisulfate,

[0056] contains potassium peroxodisulfate and ammonium peroxodisulfate together with components (c) and (d).

[0057] The persulfate(s) are preferably used in specific quantity ranges in the composition according to the invention. Very good bleaching results were obtained when the composition – based on its total weight – contained one or more persulfates (b) in a total amount of 2.0 to 40.0 wt.%, preferably 4.0 to 30.0 wt.%, more preferably 6.0 to 30.0 wt.%, even more preferably 9.0 to 24.0 wt.%, and most preferably 12.0 to 22.0 wt.%.

[0058] In a further particularly preferred embodiment, a composition according to the invention is characterized in that it contains - based on its total weight - one or more persulfates (b) in a total amount of 2.0 to 40.0 wt.%, preferably 4.0 to 30.0 wt.%, more preferably 6.0 to 30.0 wt.%, even more preferably 9.0 to 24.0 wt.% and most preferably 12.0 to 22.0 wt.%.

[0059] Complexing agents (c)

[0060] As a third essential ingredient of the invention, the agent according to the invention contains at least one complexing agent (c) selected from the group consisting of ethylenediamine disuccinate (EDDS), glutamic acid, N,N-diacetic acid (GLDA), N,N-bis(carboxymethyl)-L-alanine (MGDA), ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), hydroxyethylethylenediaminetriacetic acid (HEDTA) and / or their physiologically acceptable salts.

[0061] The work leading to this invention revealed that the exothermic reaction that occurred when hydrogen peroxide (a) and persulfate(s) (b) were applied to hair heavily contaminated with metals could be very effectively suppressed by using the combination of complexing agents from the list (c) with the aminoalkylsulfonic acids (d). In this way, an excessive temperature increase could be reliably prevented.

[0062] Surprisingly, reducing the reaction temperature was not associated with a significant deterioration in bleaching performance; the lightening results were at least comparable.

[0063] The best results were obtained with the complexing agent ethylenediamine disuccinate (EDDS), therefore compounds from the EDDS group in the form of its free acid and / or its salts are particularly preferred.

[0064] The free acid of EDDS is called ethylenediamine disuccinic acid. Ethylenediamine disuccinic acid has the CAS number 20846-91-7 and can alternatively be called A / , / V-1,2-ethanediylbis-L-aspartic acid or ethylenediamine disuccinic acid.

[0065] Examples of salts of ethylenediamine disuccinate include the monosodium, disodium, trisodium, or tetrasodium salts. The corresponding potassium salts can also be used and are particularly preferred.

[0066] The trisodium salt of ethylenediamine disuccinate, in its (S,S) form, is also known as ethyleneediamine N,N' disuccinic acid trisodium salt (S,S), has the CAS number 178949-82-1, and can be obtained commercially from Innospec Limited under the trade names Natrlquest E 30 or Natrlquest E80. The substance is also available from Innospec under the trade names Enviomet C 140 and Octaquest E 30.

[0067] Ethylenediamine disuccinic acid or its salts are often abbreviated as EDDS in the literature.

[0068] Other suitable salts of EDDS include the magnesium salts, the calcium salts, and the zinc salts.

[0069] Ethylenediamine disuccinate and its salts are complexing agents of the general formula (1a) where

[0070] M1 , M2 independently of each other for a hydrogen atom or an equivalent of an alkali, alkaline earth or metal ion, preferably for sodium, potassium, % magnesium, % calcium, % zinc, or for an ammonium ion (NH4) + ) stand, and

[0071] M3, M4 independently of each other for a hydrogen atom or an equivalent of an alkali, alkaline earth or metal ion, preferably for sodium, potassium, % magnesium, % calcium, % zinc, or for an ammonium ion (NH4) + ) stand.

[0072] Ethylenediamine disuccinate has two stereogenic centers. Both the (S,S)-form and the (R,R)-form, as well as the (R,S)-form and the (S,R)-form, are according to the invention.

[0073] EDDS and its salts are described as biodegradable in the technical data sheet.

[0074] Another particularly favored complexing agent (c) is glutamic acid N,N-diacetic acid, which, like the other complexing agents, can be used both in the form of its free acid and in the form of its physiologically acceptable salts. Glutamic acid N,N-diacetic acid can also be abbreviated as GLDA. Suitable physiologically acceptable salts of glutamic acid N,N-diacetic acid include, for example, its mono-, di-, tri-, and tetrasodium salts, its mono-, di-, tri-, and tetrapotassium salts, and its mono-, di-, tri-, and tetraammonium salts.

[0075] Other suitable salts of GLDA are the magnesium salts, the calcium salts and the zinc salts.

[0076] The tetrasodium salt of glutamic acid N,N-diacetic acid has the CAS number 51981-21-6 and can alternatively be referred to as L-glutamic acid A / V-diacetic acid tetrasodium salt, (S)-glutamic acid / V,V-diacetic acid tetrasodium salt, / V,V-bis(carboxymethyl)-L-glutamic acid tetrasodium salt, or abbreviated as GLDA-N34. When this complexing agent is commercially available, the raw material name Dissolvine GL is also frequently found. The INCI name for this compound is Tetrasodium Glutamate diacetate.

[0077] Tetrasodium N,N-bis(carboxymethyl)-L-glutamate can be purchased under the trade name Aquacid 2015 EX, for example from the company Aquapharm Chemicals.

[0078] Akzo Nobel commercially markets N,N-Bis(Carboxymethyl)glutamic acid tetrasodium salt under the trade name Dissolvine GL PD S (CAS number 51981-21-6).

[0079] GLDA has a stereogenic center. Both the (S)-shape and the (R)-shape (or both the L-shape and the D-shape) are according to the invention.

[0080] Glutamic acid-N,N-diacetic acid (GLDA) and its salts are complexing agents of formula (1 b) where

[0081] M1 and M2 independently represent a hydrogen atom or an equivalent of an alkali, alkaline earth, or metal ion, preferably sodium, potassium, % magnesium, % calcium, % zinc, or an ammonium ion (NHT), and M3 and M4 independently represent a hydrogen atom or an equivalent of an alkali, alkaline earth, or metal ion, preferably sodium, potassium, % magnesium, % calcium, % zinc, or an ammonium ion (NHT). GLDA and its salts are described as biodegradable in the technical data sheet.

[0082] When bleaching hair heavily contaminated with metals or copper ions using (a) and (b), a particularly strong reduction in the reaction temperature was achieved when a complexing agent from the group consisting of ethylenediamine disuccinate (EDDS), glutamic acid N,N-diacetic acid (GLDA) and / or their salts (c) was used in combination with at least one aminoalkylsulfonic acid (d). For this reason, the complexing agents EDDS, GLDA and / or their salts are particularly preferred.

[0083] In a further particularly preferred embodiment, a composition according to the invention is characterized in that it contains one or more complexing agents (c) selected from the group consisting of ethylenediamine disuccinate (EDDS), glutamic acid N,N-diacetic acid (GLDA) and their salts, most preferably from the group consisting of ethylenediamine disuccinate (EDDS) and its salts.

[0084] Another particularly favored complexing agent (c) is N,N-bis(carboxymethyl)-L-alanine, which can alternatively be called 2-methyl-2',2",2"'-nitrilotriacetic acid or methylglycine diacetic acid and is abbreviated as MGDA. MGDA has the CAS number 29578-05-0 and can be purchased commercially from various suppliers, for example, ABClaboratory Scientific Co. Ltd., Chemieliva Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., SIA "Chemspace", or Hong Kong Chemhere Co. Ltd.

[0085] MGDA is a complexing agent of the formula (Ic)

[0086] The physiologically compatible salts of MGDA are also according to the invention. Particularly suitable physiologically compatible salts of MGDA include, for example, the mo-, di-, and trisodium salts, the mono-, di-, and tripotassium salts, and the mono-, di-, and triammonium salts. The trisodium salt of MGDA has the CAS number 164462-16-2 and can be obtained commercially, for example, from BASF under the trade name Neutrol MGDA.

[0087] Other suitable salts of MGDA include magnesium salts, calcium salts, and zinc salts.

[0088] MGDA and its salts are described as biodegradable in the technical data sheet.

[0089] For sustainability reasons, the use of biodegradable complexing agents (c) is particularly preferred.

[0090] Another very suitable complexing agent (c) is ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and its physiologically compatible salts. Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid has the CAS number 60-00-4 and is also known as ethylenedinitrilotetraacetic acid or ethylenediaminetetraethanoic acid. Its INCI name is EDTA.

[0091] Suitable physiologically acceptable salts of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid include, for example, its mono-, di-, tri- and tetrasodium salt, its mono-, di-, tri- and tetrapotassium salt, and its mono-, di-, tri- and tetra(ammonium) salt.

[0092] Other suitable salts of EDTA are the magnesium salts, the calcium salts and the zinc salts.

[0097] Other suitable salts of HEDTA are the magnesium salts, the calcium salts and the zinc salts.

[0098] Hydroxyethylethylenediaminetriacetic acid (HEDTA) can alternatively be called / V-(Carboxymethyl)- / V- {2-[ / V-(2-hydroxyethyl)glycino]ethyl}glycine or 2,2'-({2-[(2-Hydroxyethyl)-(carboxymethyl)- amino]ethyl}azanediyl)diacetic acid and has the CAS number 150-39-0.

[0099] To further optimize the bleaching or lightening effect, the complexing agent(s) (c) can preferably be used in specific quantity ranges in the composition according to the invention. It is particularly preferred if the composition – based on the total weight of the composition – contains one or more complexing agents (c) in a total amount of 0.05 to 10.0 wt.%, preferably 0.1 to 7.5 wt.%, more preferably 0.2 to 4.5 wt.%, even more preferably 0.4 to 2.5 wt.%, and most preferably 0.5 to 1.9 wt.%.

[0118] (c) 0.05 to 10.0 wt.%, preferably 0.1 to 7.5 wt.%, more preferably 0.2 to 4.5 wt.%, even more preferably 0.4 to 2.5 wt.% and most preferably 0.5 to 1.9 wt.% N,N-ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) and / or its salts, and

[0119] (d) at least one aminoalkylsulfonic acid selected from the group consisting of 2-aminoethanesulfonic acid and / or its salts.

[0120] In another embodiment, a suitable means is one containing - based on the total weight of the means -

[0121] (a) hydrogen peroxide, and

[0122] (b) at least one persulfate selected from the group consisting of sodium peroxodisulfate, potassium peroxodisulfate and ammonium peroxodisulfate, and (c) 0.05 to 10.0 wt.%, preferably 0.1 to 7.5 wt.%, further preferably 0.2 to 4.5 wt.%, even more preferably 0.4 to 2.5 wt.% and most preferably 0.5 to 1.9 wt.% hydroxyethylethylenediaminetriacetic acid (HEDTA) and / or its salts, and

[0123] (d) at least one aminoalkylsulfonic acid selected from the group consisting of 2-aminoethanesulfonic acid and / or its salts.

[0124] Aminoalkylsulfonic acids (d)

[0125] As a fourth essential component (d) of the invention, the agent according to the invention contains at least one aminoalkylsulfonic acid selected from the group consisting of 2-aminoethanesulfonic acid, 2-(N-methylamino)ethanesulfonic acid, 2-(N,N-dimethylamino)ethanesulfonic acid, 3-aminopropanesulfonic acid, 3-(N-methylamino)propanesulfonic acid, 3-(N,N-dimethylamino)propanesulfonic acid and / or their salts.

[0126] The best results were obtained when using 2-aminoethanesulfonic acid (taurine); therefore, a product containing 2-aminoethanesulfonic acid and / or one or more of its salts is particularly preferred.

[0127] 2-Aminoethanesulfonic acid is also known as 2-sulfoethylamine, β-aminoethanesulfonic acid, or taurine. Taurine has the CAS number 107-35-7.

[0129] Taurine is found in the metabolism of many animals and humans and is biodegradable.

[0130] Furthermore, the sodium salts, potassium salts, and ammonium salts of taurine are also well-suited and conform to the invention. Other suitable salts of taurine include the magnesium salts, calcium salts, and zinc salts.

[0169] (c) 0.4 to 2.5 wt% N,N-ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) and / or its salts, and

[0170] (d) 0.05 to 10.0 wt.%, preferably 0.1 to 5.0 wt.%, more preferably 0.15 to 2.5 wt.% and most preferably 0.2 to 1.0 wt.% taurine and / or its salts.

[0171] In another embodiment, a suitable agent is one containing - based on the total weight of the agent -

[0172] (a) hydrogen peroxide, and

[0173] (b) at least one persulfate selected from the group consisting of sodium peroxodisulfate, potassium peroxodisulfate and ammonium peroxodisulfate, and

[0174] (c) 0.5 to 1.9 wt% N,N-ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) and / or its salts, and

[0175] (d) 0.05 to 10.0 wt.%, preferably 0.1 to 5.0 wt.%, more preferably 0.15 to 2.5 wt.% and most preferably 0.2 to 1.0 wt.% taurine and / or its salts. In a further embodiment, a composition containing – based on the total weight of the composition – is suitable.

[0176] (a) hydrogen peroxide, and

[0177] (b) at least one persulfate selected from the group consisting of sodium peroxodisulfate, potassium peroxodisulfate and ammonium peroxodisulfate, and

[0178] (c) 0.05 to 10.0 wt.%, preferably 0.1 to 7.5 wt.%, further preferably 0.2 to 4.5 wt.% and most preferably 0.4 to 2.5 wt.% hydroxyethylethylenediaminetriacetic acid (HEDTA) and / or its salts, and

[0179] (d) 0.05 to 10.0 wt.%, preferably 0.1 to 5.0 wt.%, more preferably 0.15 to 2.5 wt.% and most preferably 0.2 to 1.0 wt.% taurine and / or its salts.

[0180] Weight ratios (c) / (d) and (b) / (d)

[0181] As previously described, the use of particularly suitable amounts of the complexing agent(s) (c) in combination with the aminoalkylsulfonic acid(s) (d) enables reliable temperature control of the reaction occurring during bleaching without significantly impairing bleaching performance. These effects can be further optimized by using components (c) and (d) in the best possible relative amounts.

[0182] The results obtained in this context were particularly good when the weight ratio of all complexing agents (c) contained in the average to all aminoalkylsulfonic acids (d) contained in the average, i.e. the weight ratio (c) / (d), was in the range of 5:1 to 1:5, preferably from 5:1 to 1:1, more preferably from 3:1 to 1:1 and most preferably from 2:1 to 1:1.

[0183] In a further particularly preferred embodiment, a composition according to the invention is characterized in that the weight ratio of all complexing agents (c) contained in the composition to all aminoalkylsulfonic acids (d) contained in the composition, i.e. the weight ratio (c) / (d), is in the range of 5:1 to 1:5, preferably from 5:1 to 1:1, more preferably from 3:1 to 1:1 and most preferably from 2:1 to 1:1.

[0184] If a ready-to-use bleaching agent contains 0.7 wt% EDDS (in the form of its trisodium salt) (c) and 0.5 wt% taurine (d), the weight ratio (c) / (d) is, for example, 0.7 : 0.5 = 1 .4.

[0185] If a ready-to-use bleaching agent contains 0.9 wt% EDDS (in the form of its trisodium salt) (c) and 0.5 wt% taurine (d), the weight ratio (c) / (d) is, for example, 0.7 : 0.5 = 1.8. Furthermore, it has been found that the weight ratio of the total amount of persulfates (b) contained in the average to the total amount of aminoalkylsulfonic acids (d) (especially taurine) contained in the average also appears to influence the reaction temperatures occurring during bleaching. Particularly good results were obtained when the weight ratio of the total amount of all persulfates (b) contained in the average to the total amount of aminoalkylsulfonic acids (d) contained in the average, i.e. the weight ratio (b) / (d), was in the range of 60:1 to 1:1, preferably from 55:1 to 5:1, more preferably from 50:1 to 10:1 and most preferably from 45:1 to 20:1.

[0186] In a further particularly preferred embodiment, a composition according to the invention is characterized in that the weight ratio of the total amount of all persulfates (b) contained in the composition to the total amount of aminoalkylsulfonic acids (d) contained in the composition, i.e. the weight ratio (b) / (d), is in the range of 60:1 to 1:1, preferably from 55:1 to 5:1, more preferably from 50:1 to 10:1 and most preferably from 45:1 to 20:1.

[0187] Abstaining from certain ingredients in the product

[0188] As previously described, temperature control in the presence of higher metal concentrations should ideally be achieved without a significant reduction in bleaching performance. Surprisingly, this effect was achieved on average by using a combination of components (a) to (d).

[0189] Furthermore, it has been shown that it can be advantageous to refrain from certain components, which differ from ingredients (a) to (d).

[0190] For odor-related reasons, it may prove preferable in a further embodiment to keep the amounts of organic and inorganic disulfides in the product as low as possible or even to formulate the product free of these disulfides.

[0191] An organic disulfide is an organic compound that contains at least one -SS- group. An inorganic disulfide is an inorganic compound with at least one -S- S- group.

[0192] In a further particularly preferred embodiment, a composition according to the invention is characterized in that the total amount of organic disulfides contained in the composition - based on the total weight of the composition - is below 0.1 wt.%, preferably below 0.05 wt.%, and that the composition is particularly preferably free of organic disulfides.

[0193] A product that is free of organic disulfides contains no organic disulfides. Examples of organic disulfides commonly used in cosmetics include cystine, glutathione, and alpha-lipoic acid.

[0194] In a further particularly preferred embodiment, a composition according to the invention is characterized in that the total amount of organic and inorganic disulfides contained in the composition - based on the total weight of the composition - is below 0.1 wt.%, preferably below 0.05 wt.%, and that the composition is particularly preferably free of organic and inorganic disulfides.

[0195] A product that is free of inorganic and organic disulfides contains neither inorganic disulfides nor organic disulfides.

[0196] Furthermore, the product preferably contains little or no alkanolamines as alkalizing agents. Like disulfides, alkanolamines also have a strong inherent odor, so to achieve a product that is as natural-looking and odorless as possible, alkanolamines are preferably avoided.

[0197] In a further particularly preferred embodiment, a composition according to the invention is characterized in that the total amount of organic alkanolamines contained in the composition - based on the total weight of the composition - is below 0.5 wt.%, preferably below 0.3 wt.%, more preferably below 0.1 wt.%, and that the composition is particularly preferably free of organic alkanolamines.

[0198] Alkanolamines frequently used in cosmetics include, for example, primary, secondary or tertiary amines with a C2-C6 alkyl base structure that carries at least one hydroxyl group. These can be selected, for example, from the group formed from 2-Aminoethanol-1-ol (Monoethanolamine), 3-Aminopropan-1-ol, 4-Aminobutan-1-ol, 5-Aminopentan-1-ol, 1-Aminopropan-2-ol (Monoisopropanolamine), 1-Aminobutan-2-ol, 1-Aminopentan-2-ol, 1-Aminopentan-3-ol, 1-Aminopentan-4-ol, 2-Amino-2-methylpropanol, 2-Amino-2-methylbutanol, 3-Amino-2-methylpropan-1-ol, 1-Amino-2-methylpropan-2-ol, 3-Aminopropan-1,2-diol, 2-Amino-2-methylpropan-1,3-diol, 2-Amino-2-ethyl-1,3-propanediol, N,N-Dimethylethanolamine, Methylglucamine, triethanolamine, diethanolamine, and triisopropanolamine. Particularly preferred alkanolamines are monoethanolamine, 2-amino-2-methylpropanol, and triethanolamine.

[0199] Furthermore, the agent preferably contains little or no oxidation dye precursors. The bleaching agents according to the invention are intended to produce the strongest possible lightening effect. Since the presence of oxidation dye precursors leads to dye formation and thus inevitably to a darkening of the color, it has proven preferable to also refrain from using the dyes in the bleaching agent.

[0200] In a further particularly preferred embodiment, a composition according to the invention is characterized in that the total amount of the oxidation dye precursors contained in the composition - based on the total weight of the composition - is below 0.3 wt.%, preferably below 0.2 wt.%, more preferably below 0.1 wt.%, and that the composition is particularly preferably free of oxidation dye precursors.

[0201] Oxidation dye precursors are divided into so-called developers and coupler components.

[0202] Commonly used developer-type oxidation dye precursors include, for example, p-phenylenediamine, p-toluenediamine, 2-chloro-p-phenylenediamine, 2,3-dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine, 2,6-dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine, N,N-bis-(2-hydroxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine, 2-(2-hydroxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine, 2-(1,2-dihydroxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine, N-(2-hydroxypropyl)-p-phenylenediamine, N-(4'-aminophenyl)-p-phenylenediamine, 2-methoxymethyl-p-phenylenediamine, N-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine, 2-(2-hydroxyethyloxy)-p-phenylenediamine, and N-(4-amino-3-methylphenyl)-N-[3-(1 H-imidazol-1-yl)propyl]amine and / or their physiologically acceptable salts.

[0203] Commonly used coupler components include, for example, 3-aminophenol and 5-amino-2-methylphenol.

[0204] 3-Amino-2-chlor-6-methylphenol, 2-Hydroxy-4-aminophenoxyethanol, 5-Amino-4-chlor-2- methylphenol, 5-(2-Hydroxyethyl)-amino-2-methylphenol, 2,4-Dichlor-3-aminophenol, 2- Aminophenol, 3-Phenylendiamin, 2-(2,4-Diaminophenoxy)ethanol, 1 ,3-Bis(2,4- diaminophenoxy)propan, 1-Methoxy-2-amino-4-(2-hydroxyethylamino)benzol, 1 ,3-Bis(2,4-di- aminophenyl)propan, 2, 6-Bis(2'-hydroxyethylamino)-1 -methylbenzol, 2-({3-[(2-Hydroxyethyl)amino]-

[0205] 4-methoxy-5-methylphenyl}amino)ethanol, 2-({3-[(2-Hydroxyethyl)amino]-2-methoxy-5-methyl- phenyl}amino)ethanol, 2-({3-[(2-Hydroxyethyl)amino]-4,5-dimethylphenyl}amino)ethanol, 2-[3- Morpholin-4-ylphenyl)amino]ethanol, 3-Amino-4-(2-methoxyethoxy)-5-methylphenylamin, 1-Amino- 3-bis-(2-hydroxyethyl)aminobenzol, Resorcin, 2-Methylresorcin, 4-Chlorresorcin, 1 ,2,4-Tri- hydroxybenzol, 2-Amino-3-hydroxypyridin, 3-Amino-2-methylamino-6-methoxypyridin, 2,6-Di- hydroxy-3,4-dimethylpyridin, 3,5-Diamino-2,6-dimethoxypyridin, 1-Phenyl-3-methylpyrazol-5-on, 1 - Naphthol, 1 ,5-Dihydroxynaphthalin, 2,7-Dihydroxynaphthalin, 1 ,7-Dihydroxynaphthalin, 1 ,8-Di- hydroxynaphthalin, 4-Hydroxyindol, 6-Hydroxyindol, 7-Hydroxyindol, 4-Hydroxyindolin, 6-Hydroxy- indolin, 7-Hydroxyindolin und / oder die physiologisch verträglichen Salzen der vorgenannten Verbindungen.

[0206] Alkalizing Agent As previously described, the agent according to the invention of the first invention is a ready-to-use agent for lightening or bleaching keratin fibers. To achieve a sufficient bleaching effect, such agents are usually alkaline to strongly alkaline. Such high pH values are necessary to ensure that the outer cuticle layer opens and thus allows the active species (hydrogen peroxide and persulfates) to penetrate the hair.

[0207] For this reason, it has proven to be particularly advantageous if the agent according to the invention additionally contains at least one alkalizing agent.

[0208] In a further preferred embodiment, a means according to the invention is characterized in that it contains at least one alkalizing agent.

[0209] The bleaching agent particularly preferably contains inorganic alkalizing agents. According to the invention, the inorganic alkalizing agents are most preferably selected from the group consisting of sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide, barium hydroxide, sodium phosphate, potassium phosphate, sodium silicate, sodium metasilicate, potassium silicate, sodium carbonate, and potassium carbonate.

[0210] In a further particularly preferred embodiment, a means according to the invention is characterized in that it contains at least one alkalizing agent selected from the group consisting of sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide, barium hydroxide, sodium phosphate, potassium phosphate, sodium silicate, sodium metasilicate, potassium silicate, sodium carbonate and potassium carbonate.

[0211] Particularly suitable compositions according to the invention have a pH value in the range of 7.5 to 11.5, preferably from 8.0 to 11.5, more preferably from 8.5 to 11.5, and most preferably from 9.0 to 11.0. The pH values referred to in the present invention are pH values measured at a temperature of 22°C. The pH value can be measured, for example, using a commercially available glass electrode.

[0212] In a particularly preferred embodiment, a composition according to the invention is characterized in that it contains water and has a pH value of 7.5 to 11.5, preferably 8.0 to 11.5, more preferably 8.5 to 11.5, and most preferably 9.0 to 11.0. Further ingredients

[0213] In addition to the essential ingredients (a), (b), (c) and (d) of the invention – and optionally the alkalizing agents – the composition according to the invention may also contain further active ingredients and excipients as non-essential components. These are described below. However, the previously explicitly mentioned special classes of substances are preferably omitted here.

[0214] The products may also contain other active ingredients, excipients, and additives, such as solvents, fatty components like Cs-Cso fatty alcohols, Ca-Cso fatty acid triglycerides, Ca-Cso fatty acid monoglycerides, Ca-Cso fatty acid diglycerides, and / or hydrocarbons; non-ionic surfactants, anionic surfactants, cationic surfactants, amphoteric and / or zwitterionic surfactants, polymers; structuring agents such as glucose, maleic acid, and lactic acid; hair-conditioning compounds such as phospholipids, for example, lecithin and cephalins; perfume oils, dimethyl isosorbide, and cyclodextrins; fiber-improving agents, in particular mono-, di-, and oligosaccharides such as glucose, galactose, fructose, fruit sugar, and lactose; and colorants for coloring the product. [0215] The selection of these additional substances will be made by a person skilled in the art according to the desired properties of the composition. Regarding further optional components and the quantities of these components used, explicit reference is made to the relevant handbooks known to those skilled in the art. The additional active ingredients and excipients are preferably used in the preparations according to the invention in quantities of 0.0001 to 25 wt.%, and in particular 0.0005 to 15 wt.%, based on the total weight of the respective composition.

[0216] Methods of oxidative color change of keratin fibers

[0217] As previously described, the agent of the first invention is an agent for the oxidative color change of keratin fibers. Most preferably, the agent is a lightening or bleaching agent. This lightening / bleaching agent is a ready-to-use agent. Accordingly, the agent can be used in a process for oxidative color change, in particular for lightening the keratin fibers.

[0218] A second object of the present invention is a method for the oxidative color change of keratinous fibers, in particular human hair, in which an agent, as disclosed in detail in the description of the first object of the invention, is applied to the keratinous fibers and rinsed off after an exposure time.

[0219] Oxidizing agents such as hydrogen oxide and persulfates are highly reactive compounds that have limited stability, especially in alkaline environments. For this reason, ready-to-use bleaching agents are usually prepared shortly before application by mixing two or more separately packaged preparations.

[0220] The oxidizing agents (a) and (b) are usually prepared separately. For the complexing agent (c) and the aminoalkylsulfonic acids (d), various preparation methods are conceivable.

[0221] For example, complexing agents (c) and aminoalkylsulfonic acids (d) can be prepared together with one or more persulfates (b) and separately from the hydrogen peroxide (a). This embodiment is particularly preferred when only two different preparations need to be mixed together to produce the ready-to-use agent.

[0222] In a further preferred embodiment, a method according to the invention is characterized in that the agent is produced by mixing two components (A) and (B), wherein component (A) contains hydrogen peroxide (a) and component (B) contains the persulfate(s) (b), and the complexing agent(s) (c) and the aminoalkylsulfonic acid(s) (d).

[0223] Components (a), (b), (c) and (d) have already been disclosed in detail in the description of the first subject matter of the invention.

[0224] Preparations (A) and (B) can either be mixed with each other or with other separately packaged preparations immediately before use to form an application mixture.

[0225] If three different preparations are to be mixed together to produce the ready-to-use agent, it may be preferred to provide the first oxidizing agent hydrogen peroxide (a) separately in a first preparation (A), to provide the persulfates (b) as the second oxidizing agent separately in a second preparation (B), and to provide a third preparation (C) which contains the complexing agent(s) (c) and the aminoalkylsulfonic acid(s) (d).

[0226] In a further preferred embodiment, a method according to the invention is characterized in that the agent is produced by mixing three components (A), (B) and (C), wherein component (A) contains hydrogen peroxide (a), component (B) contains the persulfate(s) (b) and component (C) contains the complexing agent(s) (c) and the aminoalkylsulfonic acid(s) (d).

[0227] The preparations (B) containing the persulfates are preferably in powder form. Powders consisting of solid components with different particle sizes can be used. However, it is usually preferred if the powders have a particle size that is as homogeneous as possible, particularly to facilitate uniform dispersion or dissolution of the powders in the preparations (B).

[0228] Furthermore, preparations (B) may also contain the persulfates in a solid cosmetic carrier. A solid cosmetic carrier may contain salts of silica, in particular salts of silicates and metasilicates with ammonium, alkali metals, and alkaline earth metals. In particular, metasilicates, which are composed according to the formula (SiO2)n(M2O) m, where M represents an ammonium ion, an alkali metal or half a stoichiometric equivalent of an alkaline earth metal, are characterized by a ratio between n and m of < 1 and are represented as chain-like polymeric structures of the anion [SiOs] 2- Silicates that can be interpreted as such may be preferably used. Sodium metasilicate of the formula [Na2SiO3] is particularly preferred. Silicates consisting of a silicate of the formula (SiO2)n(Na2O) are also preferred. m (K2O) P are formed where n is a positive rational number and m and p are independently of each other a positive rational number or 0, with the stipulations that at least one of the parameters m or p is different from 0 and the ratio between n and the sum of m and p is between 2:1 and 4:1.

[0229] Furthermore, the solid preparations (B) may contain so-called anti-caking agents, which are intended to prevent clumping or clumping of the powder components. Such anti-caking agents preferably include water-insoluble, hydrophobic, or moisture-adsorbing powders of diatomaceous earth, pyrogenic silica, calcium phosphate, calcium silicates, aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, magnesium carbonate, zinc oxide, stearates, fatty amines, and the like.

[0230] Finally, preparations (B) may additionally contain a dusting agent that prevents the formation of dust from the powdered components. Inert oils can be used for this purpose. Preferably, the solid cosmetic carriers contain ester oils or mineral oils as dusting agents, preferably hydrocarbon oils such as liquid paraffin oil.

[0231] Ready-to-use products are prepared immediately before application to the hair by mixing the two preparations (A) and (B) or by mixing the three preparations (A), (B), and (C). For ready-to-use products that are mixed from more than two preparations, it is irrelevant whether two preparations are first mixed together and then the third preparation is added and mixed in, or whether all preparations are combined and then mixed together. Mixing can be done by stirring in a bowl or beaker or by shaking in a sealable container.

[0232] The mixing of the two preparations (A) and (B) can, for example, be carried out in a ratio of 1:5 to 5:1, preferably 1:3 to 3:1, and particularly 1:2 to 2:1. If three preparations (A), (B), and (C) are mixed together, various mixing ratios are also possible, ranging, for example, from 1:1:1 to 3:1:1 to 1:3:1 to 1:1:3.

[0233] The term "immediate" is to be understood as a period of time ranging from a few seconds to one hour, preferably up to 30 minutes, and in particular up to 15 minutes.

[0234] The preparations (A), (B) and, where applicable, (C) are used in a process for lightening keratinous fibers, especially human hair, in which the agent is applied to the keratin-containing fibers, left on the fiber for a dwell time of 10 to 60 minutes and then rinsed off with water or washed out with shampoo.

[0235] Preferably, the processing time of the ready-to-use lightening agent is 10 to 60 minutes, particularly 15 to 50 minutes, and most preferably 20 to 45 minutes. During the processing time of the agent on the hair fibers, it can be advantageous to support the lightening process by applying a small amount of heat. The heat can be supplied by an external heat source, such as a hot air blower, or, particularly when lightening hair on a live subject, by the subject's body temperature. In the latter case, the area to be lightened is usually covered with a cap. A processing phase at room temperature is preferred. After the processing time has elapsed, the remaining lightening preparation is rinsed out of the hair with water or a cleansing agent.Commercially available shampoo can be used as a cleaning agent, although the cleaning agent can be omitted and the rinsing process can be carried out with tap water, especially if the bleaching agent has a carrier containing a high percentage of surfactants.

[0236] No pretreatment

[0237] In the bleaching process described above, the ready-to-use bleaching agent can be applied either to dry or previously moistened keratin fibers.

[0238] To moisten the fibers, they can be dampened with water and then rubbed dry with a towel so that they are no longer dripping wet but still damp. To make the application process as comfortable as possible and to protect the scalp, another embodiment has proven particularly advantageous in omitting all other pretreatment steps besides moistening the fibers.

[0239] In a further particularly preferred embodiment, a method according to the invention is therefore characterized in that the keratinous fibers are optionally moistened with water before application of the agent, but otherwise are not subjected to any further pretreatment within a period of 6 hours before application of the agent.

[0240] Such pretreatments, which can in principle be carried out but are preferably avoided, include, for example, shampooing the keratin fibers before bleaching, pretreatment with a pretreatment agent, the application of a conditioner, or the application of an emulsion, a gel, an aerosol or a foaming or surfactant-containing solution.

[0241] Such a pretreatment allows the sebum layer on the scalp to be removed when the inventive agent is applied to a living subject. However, since the sebum layer protects the scalp, it is preferably not removed from the scalp before bleaching by washing, conditioning, or any other pretreatment.

[0242] The preferred embodiments of the agent described above also apply mutatis mutandis to the method.

[0247] 2. Measurement of the temperature profile on normal hair strands

[0248] The temperatures that occur when applying a bleaching agent to normal hair (without heavy metal exposure) were simulated using the following method.

[0266] 3. Measurement of the temperature profile on hair strands with high metal exposure

[0267] The temperatures that occur when applying a bleaching agent to hair heavily burdened with metals (hair with a high copper content) were simulated using the following method.

[0268] To produce the ready-to-use lightening or bleaching agent, the developer preparation with hydrogen peroxide (A) and the respective bleaching powder (B) were mixed in a 1:1 ratio (1 part by weight of developer preparation and 1 part by weight of bleaching powder).

[0269] When mixing developer and powder in a 1:1 ratio, higher temperatures can occur than with a 2:1 ratio. Therefore, to ensure the safety of the bleaching product, the mixing ratio that leads to the higher temperatures (worst case scenario) was chosen.

[0270] 40 g of the application mixture prepared in this way were placed in a beaker.

[0271] To this application mixture, 1.5 g of a stock solution of copper sulfate (pentahydrate) in water was added. The copper sulfate solution was prepared such that the Cu content 2+ The copper concentration in the water was 5000 ppm. The copper-doped application mixture was then homogenized. The copper content was 187.5 ppm copper per 1 g of application mixture.

[0272] The temperatures within the application mixture were measured over time using a digital thermometer (VWR). The reaction temperature was measured regularly every 100 seconds.

[0275] Under high copper load, the highest temperature of over 65 °C was measured in the application mixture after 1500 seconds (25 minutes) without the addition of taurine. The addition of 0.5 wt% taurine to the bleaching agent reduced the reaction temperature, measured at this time in the presence of 0.8 wt% trisodium ethylenediamine disuccinate (EDDS, trisodium salt), by 17 °C. [0285] With high copper levels, the highest temperature of over 59 °C was measured in the application mixture after 700 seconds (11-12 minutes) without the addition of taurine. The addition of 0.5 wt% taurine to the bleaching agent reduced the reaction temperature, measured at this time in the presence of 0.8 wt% EDTA (tetrasodium salt), by more than 26 °C.

[0286] 4. Summary

[0287]

[0288] Tmax measured maximum temperature (°C)

[0289] Time period after which the maximum temperature was measured (seconds)

[0290] Tdiff: Difference in the maximum temperatures reached

[0291] In bleaching processes without copper exposure, the addition of taurine reduced the reaction temperature by 2.1 to 2.7 °C. The measured temperature differences were clearly visible. The greatest temperature reduction was achieved by adding taurine to EDDS.

[0292] Particularly strong temperature differences were measured when the bleaching agents were examined in the presence of high copper concentrations. Depending on the complexing agent used, the temperatures rose to just over 59 °C or even over 76 °C.

[0293] The addition of 0.5 wt% taurine significantly reduced the reaction temperature in every case. The temperature reduction induced by the taurine addition was particularly pronounced in bleaching processes carried out in the presence of EDDS and GLDA.

[0294] Another special advantage of EDDS, GLDA and MGDA is their biodegradability.

[0295] 5. Application to hair strands

[0296] Hair strands (Kerling, Euronaturhaar 4-0) were colorimetrically measured (Datacolor Spectraflash SF 450), pre-shampooed, and dried. This pre-shampooing was performed to remove any potentially adhering substances or coatings from the strands. The cleaned strands were then stored for at least two days.

[0297] To prepare the ready-to-use lightening or bleaching agent, the developer preparation with hydrogen peroxide (A) and the bleaching powder (B) were mixed in a 2:1 ratio (2 parts developer preparation by weight and 1 part bleaching powder by weight). A 2:1 mixing ratio is recommended for application.

[0298] The resulting application mixtures were applied to the hair strands (Kerling 4-0), left on for 45 minutes, and then rinsed out with water. The hair strands were then dried.

[0299] Each strand of hair was bleached twice. Afterwards, the hair strands were measured again using colorimetric methods.

[0300] The higher the AE value, the greater the color shift of the highlights compared to the unbleached hair. The dE value used for assessment is derived from the measured L*a*b* color values as follows:

[0301] AE = [ (Li - Lo) 2 + (ai - ao) 2 + (bi - bo)] 1 / 2

[0302] Lo, ao and bo = measured values of the strand before bleaching

[0303] Li, ai and bi = measured values of the strand after two bleaching treatments Bleaching tests on hair strands showed that the addition of taurine led to a slight reduction in bleaching power. However, this reduction was minimal and tolerable.

[0304] This reduction was particularly small with the combination of EDDS and taurine (AAE = 0.10). Furthermore, the combination of 0.8 wt% EDDS and 0.5 wt% taurine ((A) + (B2)) achieved a bleaching effect that exceeded the bleaching performance of all other tested complexing agents.

[0305] 4. Further examples of wording

[0306] Preparation of the ready-to-use whitening agent by mixing two preparations (A) and (B)

[0307] The ready-to-use bleaching agents were produced by mixing preparation (A2) with each of preparations (B9) to (B16) in a ratio of 1 :1 (1 part by weight of hydrogen peroxide preparation (A2) and 1 part by weight of bleaching powder).

[0308] Further ready-to-use bleaching agents were produced by mixing preparation (A2) with each of preparations (B9) to (B16) in a ratio of 2:1 (2 parts by weight of hydrogen peroxide preparation (A2) and 1 part by weight of bleaching powder).
