Abstract

The present invention relates to an unprecedented design for sanitary apparatus, the structural form of which makes it especially suitable for installation below the floor level of outdoor areas (yards), particularly intended for the disposal of solid waste that has been excreted by domestic animals. It comprises a main body (C) in the upper face of which a funnel-shaped bowl (B) is formed, the lower end of said bowl leading to a siphon (S), which leads to a sewage pipe (E). The upper edge of the bowl (B) receives a hinged lid (T), the opening and closing of which are actuated by means of a pedal (P), and, on the rear portion of the main body (C), a water tank (R) or discharge valve (V) is arranged, fed by a pipe (1) coming from the distribution system of the building.

Description

[0001] Sanitary collector for domestic animal waste.

[0002] Field of invention

[0003]

[0001] This utility model refers to a novel sanitary appliance design, whose construction makes it especially suitable for installation below floor level – but can also be installed above the floor – in outdoor areas (patios) and also indoor areas of residences or other urban or rural building installations. The appliance is equipped with a siphon, hydraulic discharge (box or valve), and a hinged lid operated by a pedal. This appliance was specifically designed to receive the waste excreted by domestic animals, especially solid waste found on the ground in yards, kennels, or even in the indoor areas of the animal owners' homes. This sanitary collector makes waste disposal more practical and hygienic, among other advantages.

[0004] State of the art

[0005]

[0002] It is known that keeping domestic animals is a widespread practice in virtually all societies around the world, especially keeping dogs and cats, which stand out in number by an absolute margin. However, despite the joy and satisfaction of sharing the company of a domestic animal, its upkeep includes dealing with some inconveniences, such as the presence of excrement produced by these animals, especially solid waste; for those animals kept inside the owner's home, the market offers some alternatives, such as hygienic mats and litter boxes, where the animals are trained to release their excrement. While it is most commonly observed that animals raised in yards or kennels release their excrement directly onto the ground, such as lawns, soil, sidewalks, and other types of outdoor flooring, owners often need to collect the solid waste from the ground and dispose of it more hygienically, such as burying it, disposing of it in trash cans, or even flushing it down the toilet inside the house, which is not a pleasant solution due to odors and the risk of contamination. Therefore, it can be seen that this problem requires a solution that makes the disposal of solid waste from domestic animals more practical, especially for those animals raised in residential yards where they excrete their physiological waste.

[0006] Objectives of the invention

[0007]

[0003] With the aim of solving the aforementioned inconveniences, the present utility model was developed, which proposes a novel sanitary appliance model comprising a main body, on whose upper face a funnel-shaped basin is formed, whose flow discharges centrally into a lower siphon, which is connected to the sewer system by means of corresponding piping. The aforementioned main body must be installed so that the upper edge of the funnel-shaped basin's inlet is positioned at floor level; and this inlet is equipped with a hinged lid operated by a pedal. Furthermore, the present sanitary appliance is equipped with a water reservoir or hydraulic valve for discharge. Thus, the pet owner – or employee responsible for collecting the pet's waste – can gather the solid waste from the floor using a shovel or any other suitable tool, and then take it to the sanitary device. They must step on the pedal on the lid, opening it, and emptying the waste into the funnel-shaped bowl, followed by flushing, which can be done manually or by pedal, thus promoting hygiene and practicality, among other advantages. (Description of the drawings.)

[0008]

[0004] For a better understanding of the present utility model, a detailed description thereof is given below, with reference to the attached drawings, where:

[0015] Detailed description of the invention

[0016]

[0005] According to these illustrations, the present utility model: SANITARY DISPOSAL FOR DOMESTIC ANIMAL WASTE initially comprises a main body (C) of parallelepipedal shape - but any other geometric shape is admissible - which is made of rigid and impermeable material, such as: earthenware, ceramic, concrete, plastic resin, among others. On the upper face of said main body (C) is formed a funnel-shaped basin (B), whose lower end empties onto a siphon (S), which empties into a sewage pipe (E). The upper edge of the basin (B) receives a hinged lid (T), whose opening / closing is activated by means of a pedal (P), which is located on one of the sides of the main body (C).

[0017]

[0006] In turn, in a first embodiment, a water reservoir (R) is formed - or mounted - on the rear region of the main body (C), which is fed by piping (1) from the building's distribution network. This reservoir (R) is connected to the basin (B) of the main body (C) by means of a duct (D), with the water release controlled by means of an actuation lever (A) or equivalent device, such as a pedal. In a second embodiment, as illustrated in FIG 6, instead of the reservoir (R) and its components, a flush valve (V) is installed, which is also fed by piping (1) from the building's distribution network; and this valve (V) is connected to the basin (B) of the main body (C) by means of the duct (D).

[0018]

[0007] The installation and use of this SANITARY COLLECTOR FOR DOMESTIC ANIMAL WASTE is simple and practical. For its installation, the main body (C) can be installed with its upper edge at floor level (2) - FIGS 5 and 6 - or it can be installed completely on the floor (2), preferably with its rear face against a wall or fence (3), inside which the water supply pipe (1) for flushing should also be installed, as well as the valve (V), if this is the chosen method. Regarding its use, the user must collect the solid animal waste with the aid of a tool, such as a shovel, and open the lid (T) by stepping on the pedal (P); finally, the user must flush with water, activating the lever (A) or the valve (V), according to the chosen method.

[0019]

[0008] Logically, the present SANITARY COLLECTOR FOR DOMESTIC ANIMAL WASTE may present variations in size and proportions of its entirety and / or its elements, which may also present variations in their geometric shape, and even in the raw material from which it is made, provided that the essential particularities for its realization are maintained.
