[0064] To better understand the above-mentioned objectives, features, and advantages of this disclosure, the solutions disclosed herein will be further described below. It should be noted that, unless otherwise specified, the embodiments and features described herein can be combined with each other.

[0065] Numerous specific details are set forth in the following description in order to provide a full understanding of this disclosure, but this disclosure may also be implemented in other ways different from those described herein. Obviously, the embodiments in the specification are only some, and not all, of the embodiments of this disclosure.

[0066] In this disclosure, the terms "exemplary" or "for example" are used to indicate that something is an example, illustration, or description. Any embodiment or design described as "exemplary" or "for example" in this disclosure should not be construed as being more preferred or advantageous than other embodiments or designs. Specifically, the use of terms such as "exemplary" or "for example" is intended to present the relevant concepts in a specific manner. Furthermore, in the description of embodiments in this disclosure, unless otherwise stated, "a plurality of" means two or more.

[0067] This disclosure provides a video editing method. Referring to FIG1, the video editing method includes the following steps:

[0068] S101: Receive the user's first editing operation on the target material that has been treated with at least one editing effect.

[0069] The first editing operation is used to change the target material from a first display position to a second display position on the video editing canvas.

[0070] The first editing operation in this embodiment can be any editing operation that only changes the display position of the target material without changing its content. The first editing operation can include one or more of the following operations: move, rotate, and scale.

[0071] For example, referring to FIG2, the original position coordinates of the target material 200 are (x1, y1). If a movement operation is received to drag the target material 200 from the original position coordinates (x1, y1) to the target position coordinates (x2, y2), it is determined that the first editing operation on the target material input has been received.

[0072] For example, referring to FIG3, the original direction of the target material 200 is α. If a rotation operation is received that rotates the target material 200 from the original direction α to the target direction β, it is determined that the first editing operation on the target material input has been received.

[0073] In some embodiments, the at least one editing effect may include: beauty editing effect, body editing effect, filter editing effect, etc.

[0074] S102. Determine whether the first edit result is saved in the cache.

[0075] The first editing result is the editing result obtained by applying the at least one editing effect to the target material.

[0076] In some embodiments, the latest editing effect of the target material can be stored in a specified cache location. Determining whether the first editing result is stored in the cache can be done by checking whether the specified cache location is empty. If it is not empty, then it is determined that the first editing result is stored in the cache.

[0077] In some embodiments, the identification information of the editing effect can be generated based on the identification information of the material and the identification information of the editing effect applied to the material, and the identification information of the editing effect and the editing effect can be saved through a mapping relationship; determining whether the first editing result is saved in the cache can be: checking whether the cache saves a mapping relationship that matches the identification information of the editing effect generated based on the identification information of the target material and the identification information of the at least one editing effect, and if so, determining that the first editing result is saved in the cache.

[0078] In step S102 above, if the first editing result is stored in the cache, then steps S103 and S104 are executed as follows:

[0079] S103. Read the first editing result from the cache.

[0080] That is, the processing result obtained by applying the at least one editing effect to the target material is read from the cache.

[0081] S104. Render the first editing result at the second display position to present the editing result of the first editing operation on the video editing canvas.

[0082] In some embodiments, rendering the first editing result at the second display position includes: periodically acquiring the display position corresponding to the first editing operation with a preset duration, and rendering the first editing result to the display position acquired in the current period.

[0083] The video editing method provided in this disclosure, upon receiving a user's first editing operation on target material using at least one editing effect, first determines whether a first editing result obtained by applying the at least one editing effect to the target material is stored in a cache. If the first editing result is stored in the cache, the method reads the first editing result from the cache and renders the first editing result at the second display position to present the editing result of the first editing operation on the video editing canvas. Since the first editing operation is an operation that transforms the target material from the first display position to the second display position on the video editing canvas and does not change the first editing result, directly reading the first editing result from the cache and rendering it at the second display position when receiving a user's spatial transformation operation on the target material and the first editing result is stored in the cache can avoid repeatedly applying the at least one editing effect to the target material, thereby reducing or avoiding the time consumption caused by processing the target material using the at least one editing effect, and thus improving the video editing efficiency.

[0084] As an extension and refinement of the above embodiments, this disclosure provides another video editing method. Referring to FIG4, the video editing method includes the following steps:

[0085] S401: Receive the user's first editing operation on the target material that has been treated with at least one editing effect.

[0086] The first editing operation is used to change the target material from a first display position to a second display position on the video editing canvas.

[0087] S402. Determine whether the first edit result is saved in the cache.

[0088] The first editing result is the editing result obtained by applying the at least one editing effect to the target material.

[0089] In step S402 above, if the first editing result is not saved in the cache, then steps S403 and S404 are executed as follows:

[0090] S403. Obtain the target material.

[0091] That is, to obtain the original target material without using any editing effects.

[0092] S404. Apply the at least one editing effect to the target material to obtain the first editing result.

[0093] In step S402 above, if the first editing result is stored in the cache, then step S405 is executed as follows:

[0094] S405. Read the first editing result from the cache.

[0095] After obtaining the first editing result through the above steps S404 or S405, continue to execute the following step S406:

[0096] S406. Render the first editing result at the second display position to present the editing result of the first editing operation on the video editing canvas.

[0097] In the above embodiments, even if the first editing result is not saved in the cache, the target material can be obtained, and at least one editing effect can be applied to the target material to obtain the first editing result. Therefore, the above embodiments can ensure the normal execution of the first editing operation even if the first editing result is not saved in the cache.

[0098] In some embodiments, the video editing method provided above further includes: after applying the at least one editing effect to the target material to obtain the first editing result, saving the first editing result to a cache.

[0099] After obtaining the first editing result by applying the at least one editing effect to the target material, saving the first editing result to the cache allows the first editing result to be read directly from the cache when performing spatial transformation operations on the target material next time. This avoids the time-consuming process of processing the target material through the at least one editing effect, thereby improving the efficiency of video editing.

[0100] In some embodiments, the video editing software used for video editing is software developed based on web technology, and the business layer uses JavaScript to implement interaction and function expansion, while the underlying software development kit (SDK) adopts WASM (Web Assembly, a new binary format). Referring to Figure 5, the implementation method for obtaining the first editing result may include the following steps:

[0101] S51. The business layer sends a request to the browser to request the first edit result.

[0102] S52, The browser converts the request information from JavaScript to WASM.

[0103] S53, The browser sends the converted request information to the underlying layer.

[0104] S54. The underlying layer determines whether the first editing result is stored in the cache.

[0105] In step S54 above, if the first editing result is stored in the cache, then step S55 is executed as follows:

[0106] S55, The underlying layer reads the first editing result from the cache.

[0107] In step S54 above, if the first editing result is not saved in the cache, then steps S56 and S57 are executed as follows:

[0108] S56. Obtain the target material and at least one editing effect from the bottom layer.

[0109] S57. The bottom layer applies at least one of the editing effects to the target material to obtain the first editing result.

[0110] After obtaining the first editing result through the above steps S55 or S57, the following steps are further performed:

[0111] S58. The underlying layer sends the first editing result to the browser.

[0112] S59. The browser converts the first edit result from WASM to JavaScript.

[0113] S510: The browser sends the first edited result after conversion to the business layer.

[0114] Referring to Figure 6, based on the embodiment shown in Figure 4, the video editing method provided in this disclosure further includes the following steps:

[0115] S601, Receive the second editing operation input by the user on the target material.

[0116] The second editing operation is used to apply a first editing effect to the target material, and the first editing effect is not one of the at least one editing effects.

[0117] For example, if the at least one editing effect includes editing effect A, editing effect B, and editing effect C, then the second editing operation can be an operation to apply editing effect D to the target material.

[0118] S602. Read the first editing result from the cache.

[0119] S603. Apply the first editing effect to the first editing result to obtain the second editing effect.

[0120] S604. Save the second editing effect to the cache.

[0121] In some embodiments, the video encoding method further includes: after saving the second editing effect to the cache, deleting the first editing result from the cache.

[0122] After saving the second editing effect to the cache, deleting the first editing result from the cache allows the cache to only store the latest editing effect of the target material, thereby reducing the cache space usage.

[0123] In some embodiments, the first editing result and the second editing effect can be saved in the cache at the same time, so that they can be read directly from the cache when the first editing result or the second editing effect is needed.

[0124] Referring to Figure 7, based on the embodiment shown in Figure 4, the video editing method provided in this disclosure further includes the following steps:

[0125] S701, Receive the third editing operation input by the user on the target material.

[0126] The third editing operation is used to cancel the application of the second editing effect among the at least one editing effects to the target material.

[0127] For example, if the at least one editing effect includes editing effect A, editing effect B, and editing effect C, then the second editing operation can be to cancel the editing operation of editing effect B on the target material.

[0128] S702. Obtain the target material.

[0129] S703. Apply one of the at least one editing effects other than the second editing effect to the target material to obtain a third editing effect.

[0130] As described in the example above, when the second editing operation is to cancel the editing operation of applying editing effect B to the target material, then editing effect A and editing effect B are applied to the target material to obtain the third editing effect.

[0131] S704. Save the third editing effect to the cache.

[0132] In some embodiments, the video encoding method further includes: after saving the third editing effect to the cache, deleting the first editing result from the cache.

[0133] After saving the third editing effect to the cache, deleting the first editing result from the cache allows the cache to only store the latest editing effect of the target material, thereby reducing the cache space usage.

[0134] In some embodiments, the first editing result and the third editing effect can be saved in the cache at the same time, so that they can be read directly from the cache when the first editing result or the third editing effect is needed.
