Abstract

The invention relates to a dog safety belt (10) for ensuring that dogs can travel safely in vehicles equipped with a seat belt locking mechanism (21). The innovation consists of a buckle (11) that can be attached to the locking mechanism (21), a winding mechanism (12) to which the aforementioned buckle (11) is fixed, and a belt (13) that is wound around the winding mechanism (12) and has a hook (14) at one end.

[0005] Animals have become an integral part of many people's daily lives, almost like members of the family. Many pet owners travel with their pets and take them in their cars. Various needs arise for pets to be able to travel depending on their species. Like birds, animals that live in cages indoors also travel in their cages, while animals that generally roam freely indoors, such as cats, are transported in special boxes.

[0006] However, dogs, many of which are much larger than cats, must be placed directly inside the car. In this case, the inability to attach standard three-point seat belts to the dog poses a safety risk to both the dog and the people inside the car.

[0009] The present invention relates to a dog safety belt designed to eliminate the above- mentioned disadvantages and bring new advantages to the relevant technical field.

[0010] The purpose of the invention is to provide a dog safety belt to enable dogs to travel safely in vehicles. The present invention relates to a dog safety belt for enabling dogs to travel safely in vehicles equipped with a safety belt locking mechanism, in order to achieve all of the objectives mentioned above and those that will become apparent from the detailed description below. Accordingly, it comprises a buckle that can be attached to the locking mechanism, a winding mechanism to which the buckle is fixed, and a belt that is wound into the winding mechanism and has a hook provided at one end.

[0018] The invention relates to a dog safety belt (10) that has a buckle (11 ) for connecting to a locking mechanism (21) located on the edge of a seat (20) in a vehicle. The buckle (11) is connected to the body of a winding mechanism (12) in which a belt (13) can be wound. One end of the belt (13) is fixed inside the aforementioned winding mechanism (12), while the other end has a hook (14). The hook (14) mentioned above is a carabiner as defined in the art, with a locking feature. The hook (14) is designed to be attached to a chest harness (30) worn by the dog. The invention relates to a dog safety belt (10) in which the belt (13) is selected to have the same strength and characteristics as safety belts used for humans in standard vehicles.

CLAIMS1. A dog safety belt (10) for ensuring that dogs can travel safely in vehicles equipped with a safety belt locking mechanism (21 ), characterized by: a buckle (11 ) that can be attached to the locking mechanism (21 ), a winding mechanism (12) to which the buckle (11) is fixed, a belt (13) wound into the winding mechanism (12) and having a hook (14) provided at one end.

2. A dog safety belt (10) according to claim 1 , characterized in that the hook (14) is a carabiner.

3. A dog safety belt (10) according to claim 1 , characterized in that the winding mechanism (12) is configured to wind the belt (13) and release it, and to hold the belt (13) in place when the belt (13) is pulled quickly.

4. A dog safety belt (10) according to claim 1 , characterized in that the winding mechanism (12) is configured to have a locking element for releasing or securing the belt (13).
