Abstract
Description
INHALATION TENT Technical field
[0001] The invention relates to an indoor inhalation tent according to the preamble of claim 1, for improved inhalation of brine or water vapor. State of the art
[0002] Scientific studies show that inhaling saline solution leads to improved hydration and blood circulation in the respiratory tract mucosa, resulting in two strong, positive effects: mucus loosening and inflammation reduction. Therefore, inhaling saline solution is a good way to support rapid recovery and improve overall health in the treatment of acute or chronic upper and lower respiratory tract infections such as colds, coughs, flu-like infections, asthma, etc.
[0003] To inhale steam, people usually resort to various devices. However, these have several disadvantages: many available devices are expensive and very loud. Furthermore, users are usually forced to sit still (due to the power outlet) and either wear a mask or constantly hold a nozzle, letting cold steam blow directly into their face. The traditional method with a pot of hot salt water and a blanket over the head is also possible. All of these methods are particularly unsuitable for children.
[0004] Furthermore, there are portable “steam tents,” “sauna tents,” or “steam bath sauna units” (e.g., CN201267605Y or CN217366508U). Steam tents are portable structures designed for personal use, providing a mobile steam sauna. These tents offer the user a sauna-like experience, but usually offer little space, the head is typically outside the tent, and the steam is often directed to a central area, resulting in poor distribution. Moreover, they do not provide the desired effect of inhalation.
[0005] Furthermore, there are oxygen tents designed to improve oxygen uptake by people inside the tent (e.g., CN218652675U, CN204050568U, CN105832481A, or CN219281408U). However, these also only introduce oxygen at a central point, and the primary focus here is not on saline inhalation for rapid recovery.
[0006] KR101055518B1 shows an oxygen tent with a ground-level frame featuring holes through which oxygen can be transported into the tent. In the design shown, the frame is a separate component that does not provide structural support for the tent itself. Therefore, the manufacturing and setup costs for such a tent are significantly higher. Description of the invention
[0007] To create the best possible conditions for inhalation, the present invention aims to provide an inhalation tent whose design enables optimized and improved steam inhalation while simultaneously offering space for up to three people. This allows individuals to move around, engage in activities, or interact with others in the tent while inhaling. Children, especially those with colds or illnesses, can thus play, read, etc., possibly in the presence of their parents, while inhaling, thereby supporting their recovery. The inhalation tent is designed to be easy to assemble and inexpensive to manufacture, making it suitable for home use.
[0008] This problem is solved by the present invention through the technical features of claim 1. Dependent claims 2 to 12 describe further preferred embodiments of the invention. By introducing the vapor to be inhaled from a device outside the inhalation tent through an opening in the tent wall into tubular tent poles and exiting through openings in the tent poles into the interior, the vapor is distributed evenly and effectively inside the tent, thus creating an optimal inhalation environment.
[0009] The tent can remain set up all year round or for extended periods without the connected steam generator, hose and hose valve, and various designs and prints (e.g. animal motifs, themes such as space travel, knight's castle, etc.) make the stay even more entertaining, enabling multiple uses and simultaneously providing a greater incentive to buy.
[0010] The separately removable tent cover can be washed in the washing machine. The floor mat is also made of an easy-to-clean material, allowing for long-term use in the children's room.
[0011] The inhalation tent is easy to handle (assembly and disassembly) and can be stored in a space-saving manner.
[0012] In addition, a wide range of complementary products should be considered, e.g. fragrance additives (peppermint, eucalyptus, etc.), various tent shapes and sizes, different thickness floor mats, items for the tent interior (beanbag chairs, cushions, waterproof lamps for moving lights, etc.) and much more. Brief description of the drawings

Figure 5 shows a 3D view of a possible tent pole frame including details. Figure 6 shows a front view of a tent pole frame with a pitched roof. Way(s) to implement the invention
[0014] The base of the inhalation tent 16 is a rectangular, padded floor mat 1 with a raised edge 2 around the sides, which has magnets 3 attached to the inside at regular intervals, which serve to fix a tent tarpaulin 10 in the lower area.
[0015] The raised section 2 serves to retain any condensation in the area of the ground mat 1. The ground mat 1, which measures at least 1.5 m x 1 m, has square recesses 4 in its four corners into which four cube-shaped foot elements 5 of an assembled tent pole frame 15 are placed. The ground mat 1 is shown in Figure 1.
[0016] The tent pole frame 15 of the inhalation tent 16 consists, among other things, of four vertically arranged tubular tent poles 7, which stand on cube-shaped base elements 5.
[0017] The four vertically arranged tent poles 7 are at least 90 cm high to allow an adult to sit upright inside the tent. Connecting elements 6 are attached to the upper ends of each of these four vertically arranged tent poles 7. Further tent poles 7, 8 are inserted into these connecting elements to form a gable roof, with the gable roof consisting of a total of five tent poles 8 and two connecting elements 6. The construction of the tent pole frame 15 is shown in detail in Figures 2 and 5.
[0018] Figure 6 shows a side view of the tent pole frame 15. All tent poles 7, 8 have an outer diameter of at least 1.5 cm and are hollow or tubular. Furthermore, six of the eleven tent poles—all the vertical ones and the directly connected horizontal ones—have exhaust openings 9, spaced every 8–10 cm. There are therefore six tubular tent poles 7 with exhaust openings 9 and five tubular tent poles 8 without exhaust openings 9. The five tent poles 8 of the gable roof do not have exhaust openings 9, as warm air is known to rise. Since the design focuses on use by children, the exhaust openings 9 are located in the lower part of the tent pole frame 15, and thus at or below head height. The connection of all tent poles 7, 8 with the similarly hollow connecting elements 6, 17 ensures that the steam is well distributed throughout the entire inhalation tent 16.
[0019] The outlet openings 9 in the tent poles 7 are each directed towards the interior of the inhalation tent 16 and not towards the tent canvas 10. In order to distinguish the tent poles 7, 8 from each other and to position them correctly when setting up the tent pole frame 15, the uppermost tent pole 8 of the gable roof has a corresponding colored marking.
[0020] Cube-shaped foot elements 5 measuring 4 cm x 4 cm x 4 cm are placed at the bottom of the four vertically positioned tent poles 7, increasing stability and fitting precisely into the square recesses 4 of the floor mat 1.
[0021] The cube-shaped foot elements 5 each have a downward-pointing hook 11 on a vertical outer surface, to which the tent fabric 10 can be attached by means of integrated eyelets. The cube-shaped foot elements 5 with the hook 11 are shown in Figure 3.
[0022] The tent poles 7, 8 are joined together using connecting elements 6, 17, which have a raised section 12 on their outer sides in the form of a trapezoidal prism. This raised section 12 serves to keep the tent fabric 10 at a distance to prevent mold growth and to promote vapor distribution. The connecting elements 6, 17 are also hollow inside to allow vapor to pass through. This is shown in Figure 4.
[0023] The raised section 12 of the connecting elements 6, 17 consists of magnets, and magnetic counterparts 13 are attached to the corresponding six roof edges of the tent tarpaulin 10. In this way, the tent tarpaulin 10 is magnetically attached to the tent pole frame 15 at the respective outer sides of the connecting elements 6, 17.
[0024] The lower edge of the tent tarpaulin 10 also has magnets at regular intervals and is thus attached to those magnets 3 which are located on the inside of the raised section 2 of the floor mat 1.
[0025] The tent tarpaulin 10 itself has a round opening 14 at one of the four upper corners, reinforced with an eyelet made of plastic or metal.
[0026] At this point, a connecting element 17 is located, which additionally has an opening 18 below the trapezoidal protrusion 12. This opening protrudes through the opening 14 of the tent fabric 10. A hose valve 19 of a steam generator is inserted into this opening 18 of the connecting element 17, thus connecting the steam generator to the tent pole frame 15. This is illustrated in Figure 4.
[0027] The hose valve 19 is shaped at a right angle so that the hose 20 can hang down close to the inhalation tent 16.
[0028] This design directs the steam into the interior of the inhalation tent 16 and directly into the tubular tent poles 7, 8. The steam then exits evenly through the outlet openings 9 of the tent poles 7 and can be inhaled. This is illustrated in Figures 4 and 5. The steam is thus evenly distributed within the inhalation tent 16. Additionally, hook-and-loop fastener loops are attached to the outside of the tent fabric 10 at heights of approximately 30 cm and 60 cm, allowing the hose 20 to be attached to the tent fabric 10.
[0029] Furthermore, the tent tarpaulin 10 has four openings with eyelets at the four lower corners, which are hooked into the hooks 11 attached to the cube-shaped foot elements 5, thus enabling further fastening of the tent tarpaulin 10.
[0030] The Tent Tarp 10 is made of a mold-resistant and heat-resistant fabric. This guarantees better thermal insulation while minimizing mold growth. Additionally, the Tent Tarp 10 has antibacterial and antiviral properties, thus minimizing the risk of pathogens multiplying.
[0031] Furthermore, the tent tarp 10 features a semicircular viewing window on one side of the gable roof for quick ventilation as needed, as well as an entrance / exit at the front of the tent. These openings of the tent tarp 10 can be opened from both the inside and outside using a double-sided zipper. Both zippers are waterproof, high-quality metal zippers.
[0032] The following procedure applies when using the inhalation tent:
[0033] First, the tent pole frame 15 is erected. For this purpose, all tent poles 7, 8 are connected according to their function using the connecting elements 6, 17 so that the shape of a tent pole frame 15 with a pitched roof as described in Figure 2 is created.
[0034] Next, the foot elements 5 are assembled and the tent structure is placed on the prepared ground mat 1. Finally, the tent canvas 10 is placed over the tent pole frame 15, and it is ensured that all magnets 12 of the tent pole frame 15 are connected to the magnets 13 of the tent canvas 10 at the corresponding points so that the tent canvas 10 is securely attached to the tent pole frame 15. Then, the magnets incorporated into the lower edges of the tent canvas 10 are connected to the magnets 3 of the ground mat 1, and the eyelets of the tent canvas 10 are hooked into the hooks 11 of the cube-shaped foot elements 5, so that the tent canvas 10 is taut.
[0035] After the inhalation tent 16 has been set up according to the instructions and the steam generator connected to the power supply, the hose valve 19 is inserted into the opening 18 of the connecting element 17, which protrudes through the designated opening 14 in the tent fabric 10, and thus connected to the tent frame 15. As soon as the steam generator is switched on and the operating temperature has been reached, one can enter the inhalation tent 16. The steam now emerges evenly from the outlet openings 9 of the tent poles 7 inside the inhalation tent 16, and inhalation can begin.
[0036] To accelerate the drying of the materials after use, it is possible to place the tent tarpaulin 10 with the inside facing out onto the tent pole frame 15.
