A sanitary tissue paper storage container comprising a container body in which the upper part and lower part of the container body are arranged to be able to contact and separate from each other, and a storage space for storing sanitary tissue paper is formed between the upper part and the lower part of the container body, wherein an annular protrusion is provided on either the lower end of the upper part of the container body or the upper end of the lower part of the container body, and an annular groove is provided on the other, the groove having a fitting portion formed on the bottom side of the groove and having a width substantially the same as the thickness of the protrusion, and a guide portion formed so as to gradually widen in width from the fitting portion toward the opening side of the groove, the sanitary tissue paper storage container characterized in that the storage space is shielded when the protrusion enters the groove through the guide portion and fits into the fitting portion.
