Description

Midmore for work vehicles

[0001] The present invention relates to a working machine, and more specifically to a mid-mower capable of performing mowing work when mounted on a work vehicle.

[0002] The work vehicle can perform necessary tasks by connecting various implements required for agricultural work.

[0003] An example of a mower is the mid-mower (or mid-mount mower).

[0004] FIG. 1 illustrates a conventional mid-more mounted on a work vehicle.

[0005] As illustrated in FIG. 1, the midmore (10) is mounted on the underside of the work vehicle (T) and is positioned between the front wheel (FW) and the rear wheel (RW).

[0006] The midmower (10) performs mowing work by receiving power through a power take-off (PTO) located at the bottom of the work vehicle (T).

[0007] The mid-mower (10) includes a mower deck (11) and a discharge cover (12), etc.

[0008] The moor deck (11) accommodates a blade (not shown) and has a discharge port (11-O) on one side for discharging grass cut by the blade.

[0009] The blade stored in the mower deck (11) rotates by power transmitted from the power take-off (PTO) of the work vehicle (T) and performs mowing work.

[0010] The discharge cover (12) is hinged to the moor deck (11) and positioned adjacent to the discharge port (11-0).

[0011] The discharge cover (12) sets the discharge direction of the grass cut by the blade, and prevents hard objects such as stones and branches, as well as grass, from flying toward the discharge port (11-O) when the blade rotates.

[0012] Meanwhile, the work vehicle (T) equipped with the midmore (10) is operated with both sides of the midmore (10) protruding because the width of the midmore (10) is greater than the width of the work vehicle (T).

[0013] For reference, one side of the midmore (10) equipped with the discharge port (11-O) has a longer outward protrusion length than the other side because the discharge cover (12) is attached to it.

[0014] When a work vehicle (T) equipped with such a midmore (10) is operated only with the discharge cover (12) unfolded depending on the operating environment, the following problems were encountered.

[0015] First, there is a risk that the discharge cover (12) may be damaged by trees or embankments located nearby during the perimeter work.

[0016] Second, when loading a midmore (10) or a work vehicle (T) equipped with a midmore (10) onto a transport vehicle, the width of the midmore (10) is considerable, making it difficult to load it directly into the cargo compartment of a small transport vehicle.

[0017] Third, in cases where the passageway is narrow, such as between trees or buildings in an orchard, or where one must enter a limited space such as a warehouse for storage, the work vehicle (T) equipped with the midmore (10) may not be able to access the midmore (10) due to the significant width of the midmore (10).

[0018] In the above operating environment, the width of the midmore (10) must be reduced.

[0019] To do this, it is necessary to lift the discharge cover (12) upward and operate it in a temporarily folded state.

[0020] FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram illustrated for reference to explain the case where the discharge cover (12) is operated in a folded state in a conventional mid-mower (10) mounted on a work vehicle (T).

[0021] As illustrated in FIG. 2, when the work vehicle (T) is operated with the discharge cover (12) folded, the midmower (10) is shaken by vibrations occurring during the operation of the work vehicle (T) or by the road surface conditions of the work site, and accordingly, the discharge cover (12) also shakes.

[0022] If the shaking of the discharge cover (12) gradually worsens, the discharge cover (12) may not be able to maintain its folded state and may be unfolded outward at a predetermined angle and then return to a folded state, or its position may be changed to a fully unfolded state.

[0023] In this process, if the discharge cover (12) is spread outward, the width of the midmore (10) expands, and the discharge cover (12) or the midmore (10) may be damaged by surrounding terrain features or structures.

[0024] Since damage to the discharge cover (12) or midmore (10) is a serious matter that not only increases the cost burden of maintenance but can also threaten the safety of the driver, driver intervention has traditionally been required to maintain the position of the discharge cover (12).

[0025] To explain in more detail, conventionally, in order to keep the discharge cover (12) in a folded state, the driver directly held the discharge cover (12) or pulled the string connected to the discharge cover (12) while performing mowing work or driving.

[0026] In this case, the following problems could arise.

[0027] First, as the driver must manually maintain the discharge cover (12) in a folded state, fatigue accumulation in the driver's wrist and arm muscles may occur, and work fatigue may increase.

[0028] Second, the driver's concentration is diverted from focusing solely on operating the work vehicle (T) to maintaining the folded state of the discharge cover (12), which reduces the risk of accidents.

[0029] As mentioned above, if excessive intervention by the driver occurs in a situation where the discharge cover (12) must be maintained in a folded state, it not only causes inconvenience to the driver but also cannot rule out the risk of safety accidents; therefore, it is necessary to consider a technical solution that can stably support the discharge cover (12).

[0122] Below, we intend to explain the support member (140), particularly the second bracket (142), in more detail with reference to the drawings.

[0123] <Additional explanation regarding the support section>

[0124] FIG. 6 is a reference diagram for explaining a second bracket in a midmore according to one embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 7 is a reference diagram for explaining a modified example of the second bracket shown in FIG. 6.

[0125] Before providing a detailed description of the second bracket (142), since the pair of side panels (142b, 142c) included in the second bracket (142) have the same shape, the following description will specifically describe one of the pair of side panels (142b). The detailed description of the one side panel (142b) mentioned below serves as a substitute for the description of the remaining side panel (142c).

[0126] Referring to FIG. 6, the side panel (142b) of the second bracket (142) may include a first locking groove (142b-1HH), a second locking groove (142b-2HH), and a connecting member (142b-CB).

[0127] The first catch groove (142b-1HH) is formed in a shape that is recessed to a predetermined depth along a horizontal line parallel to the lower panel (142a) toward the arrangement direction of the discharge cover (120).

[0128] When the moving bar (143e) of the support link (143) is inserted into and caught in the first locking groove (142b-1HH), the discharge cover (120) can be maintained in a first position (P1, shown in FIG. 8) in which it is spread outward toward the moor deck (110).

[0129] Above the first locking groove (142b-1HH), a protruding portion (142b-P) protruding outwardly is provided, and the protruding portion (142b-P) is arranged to protrude beyond a virtual extension line (EL) that extends upward along the inclined surface of the connecting member (142b-CB).

[0130] The protrusion (142b-P) guides the movement of the moving bar (143e) between the first locking groove (142b-1HH) and the second locking groove (142b-2HH).

[0131] More specifically, the protrusion (142b-P) allows the moving bar (143e), which was moving upward along the connecting bar (142b-CB) when the position of the discharge cover (120) changes from the second position (P2, illustrated in FIG. 9) to the first position (P1, illustrated in FIG. 8), to move naturally toward the first locking groove (142b-1HH) without detaching from the side panel (142b) by the protrusion (142b-P). In other words, the protrusion (142b-P) performs the function of preventing the moving bar (143e) from detaching.

[0132] The second catch groove (142b-2HH) is spaced downward from the first catch groove (142b-1HH) and is formed in a shape that is recessed to a predetermined depth along a horizontal line parallel to the lower panel (142a) toward the direction of placement of the discharge cover (120).

[0133] When the moving bar (143e) is inserted into the second locking groove (142b-2HH) and locked, the discharge cover (120) can be bent at a predetermined angle toward the inner direction of the moor deck (110) and maintained in a second position (P2, shown in FIG. 9) in a folded state.

[0134] The inner end (EP-1) of the first locking groove (142b-1HH) and the inner end (EP-2) of the second locking groove (142b-2HH) are arranged offset from each other based on an imaginary vertical line (VL) perpendicular to the lower panel (142a).

[0135] More specifically, the depth (d1) of the first locking groove (142b-1HH) can be provided deeper than the depth (d2) of the second locking groove (142b-2HH).

[0136] Since the depth of the first locking groove (142b-1HH) is substantial, even if vibration or shock is transmitted to the midmower (100) during the operation of the work vehicle (T), the position of the discharge cover (120) can be prevented from changing against the driver's intention.

[0137] In the case of the second locking groove (142b-2HH), even though the depth is relatively shallow compared to the first locking groove (142b-1HH), the moving bar (143e) is pulled toward the inner end (EP-2) of the second locking groove (142b-2HH) by the load of the discharge cover (120) and the elastic force applied to the discharge cover (120) from the first elastic member (132) provided in the hinge part (130), so that the discharge cover (120) is sufficient to maintain the second position (P2, shown in FIG. 9).

[0138] The shape and arrangement structure of the first catch groove (142b-1HH) and the second catch groove (142b-2HH) can be determined by the angle between the moor deck (110) and the discharge cover (120) according to the position of the discharge cover (120).

[0139] The connecting member (142b-CB) connects the first locking groove (142b-1HH) and the second locking groove (142b-2HH).

[0140] The connecting member (142b-CB) is provided at an angle and can serve as a support when the moving bar (143e) moves between the first locking groove (142b-1HH) and the second locking groove (142b-2HH).

[0141] For reference, when an external force is applied to change the discharge cover (120) from a first position (P1, illustrated in FIG. 8) to a second position (P2, illustrated in FIG. 9) in which it is folded (or opened) at a predetermined angle inward, the moving bar (143e) comes out of the first locking groove (142b-1HH) and moves downward along the connecting bar (142b-CB).

[0142] When the moving bar (143e) reaches the upper surface of the mooring deck (110), an external force is applied to the discharge cover (120) to insert the moving bar (143e) toward the second locking groove (142b-1HH).

[0143] When the moving bar (143e) is inserted into the second locking groove (142b-2HH) and caught, the discharge cover (120) maintains the second position (P2, shown in FIG. 9) even after the external force acting on the discharge cover (120) is removed.

[0144] When changing the discharge cover (120) from the second position (P2, illustrated in FIG. 9) to the first position (P1, illustrated in FIG. 8), an external force is applied to the discharge cover (120) so that the moving bar (143e) can come out of the second locking groove (142b-2HH).

[0145] When the moving bar (143e) comes out of the second locking groove (142b-2HH), the discharge cover (120) naturally unfolds outward by the first elastic member (132) and attempts to assume the first position (P1, shown in FIG. 8).

[0146] The moving bar (143e) also moves along the connecting bar (142b-CB) toward the first locking groove (142b-1HH) and is inserted into the first locking groove (142b-2HH) to be locked.

[0147] When the moving bar (143e) is inserted into and caught in the first locking groove (142b-1HH), the discharge cover (120) maintains the first position (P1, shown in FIG. 8).

[0148] Consequently, the driver only needs to briefly intervene by applying an external force to the discharge cover (120) so that the moving bar (143e) can be inserted into or removed from the first locking groove (142b-1HH) or the second locking groove (142b-2HH).

[0149] Accordingly, the inconvenience of changing and maintaining the position of the discharge cover (120) is eliminated, and the driver's convenience can be improved.

[0150] Below, a modified example of the second bracket (142) will be briefly described with reference to FIG. 7.

[0151] Referring to FIG. 7, the side panel (142b) of the second bracket (142) may further include an extension portion (142b-EP).

[0152] The extension portion (142b-EP) is formed to extend downward obliquely from the upper portion of the side panel (142b).

[0153] The extension portion (142b-EP) can be spaced apart and parallel to the connecting member (142b-CB).

[0154] The gap between the extension part (142b-EP) and the connecting bar (142b-CH) is sufficient if it allows the moving bar (143e) to move.

[0155] The extension portion (142b-EP) provides a movement path for the moving bar (143e) together with the connecting bar (142b-CH), while preventing the moving bar (143e) from deviating from the movement path between the first locking groove (142b-1HH) and the second locking groove (142b-2HH).

[0156] One end of the extension portion (142b-EP) contacts the upper portion of the side panel (142b), and the other end may be spaced apart at a predetermined height from a virtual horizontal line (VHL) extending horizontally from the lower portion of the side panel (142b).

[0157] In this case, if it is necessary to detach the support link (143) from the second bracket (142) for maintenance of one component of the discharge cover (120) or the support member (140), the movable bar (143e) can be removed from the second bracket (142) through the gap between the extension part (142b-EP) and the virtual horizontal line (VHL).

[0158] However, since this is merely an example, it goes without saying that the length of the extended portion (142b-EP) may be increased or decreased depending on the implementation.

[0159] <General description of the operation of the support part>

[0160] FIGS. 8 and 9 are reference drawings for explaining the structure of the support member (140) that is changed according to the position of the discharge cover (120) in the midmore (100) shown in FIG. 4.

[0161] FIG. 8 illustrates a support member (140) when the discharge cover (120) is spread outward toward the moor deck (110), i.e., when maintaining the first position (P1).

[0162] As shown in FIG. 8, when the moving bar (143e) of the support link (143) is inserted into and caught in the first locking groove (142b-1HH), the fastening member (143d) of the support link (143) is spaced outward from the second bracket (142), and the discharge cover (120) assumes a first position (P1) in which it is spread outward from the moor deck (110).

[0163] The discharge cover (120) taking the first position (P1) can maintain the first position (P1) by means of the first elastic member (132) as well as the support member (140).

[0164] FIG. 9 illustrates a support member (140) when the discharge cover (120) is folded at a predetermined angle toward the inner side of the moor deck (110), i.e., maintaining a second position (P2).

[0165] As shown in FIG. 9, when the moving bar (143e) of the support link (143) is inserted and caught in the second locking groove (142b-2HH), the support link (143) is positioned between a pair of side panels (142b, 142c) and the fastening member (143d) is positioned close to the second bracket (142).

[0166] As the moving bar (143e) engages with the second locking groove (142b-2HH), the first bracket (141), which is coupled to the support link (143) by the fastening member (143d), moves closer to the second bracket (142), i.e., the moor deck (110), and the discharge cover (120), which was in the first position (P1), is lifted upward.

[0167] When the discharge cover (120) changes from the first position (P1) to the second position (P2), a counterclockwise force is applied by the second elastic member (143d-S) coupled to the fastening member (143d), and the moving bar (143e) is easily caught in the second locking groove (142b-2HH).

[0168] Even if the moving bar (143e) is inserted into the second locking groove (142b-2HH) and gets caught, the elastic force of the first elastic member (132) causes the discharge cover (120) to spread outward, but instead the applied force causes the moving bar (143e) to be pulled toward the inner end (EP-2) of the second locking groove (142b-2HH).

[0169] As the moving bar (143e) is caught in the second catch groove (142b-2HH) and its position is temporarily fixed, the discharge cover (120) can maintain the second position (P2) without driver intervention.

[0170] The embodiments described above are merely preferred examples of the present invention and may have various applications. Therefore, the present invention should not be understood as being limited only to the contents described above. Instead, the scope of the present invention should be understood as the separately described claims and their equivalents.
