[0030] According to an aspect of some embodiments of the invention, there is provided a method for top mounting a faucet to a surface with a mounting opening including: passing a through hole connector through the mounting opening; connecting a top anchor above the surface to a bottom anchor below the surface with the through hole connector; tightening the through hole connector; clamping the surface between the top anchor above the surface and the bottom anchor below the surface; and attaching a faucet to the top anchor. [0054] An aspect of some embodiments of the current invention relates to a top mounting system for a faucet. According to some embodiments, the top mounting system may be for use in mounting a faucet to a surface (e.g., countertop and / or sink). CLAIMSWhat is claimed is:

1. A method for top mounting a faucet to a surface with a mounting opening comprising: passing a through hole connector through the mounting opening; connecting a top anchor above the surface to a bottom anchor below the surface with the through hole connector; tightening the through hole connector; clamping the surface between the top anchor above the surface and the bottom anchor below the surface; and attaching a faucet to the top anchor.

2. The method of claim 1, the tightening is from above the surface.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the through hole connector includes a threaded element threaded to the bottom anchor and the tightening includes rotating the threaded element from above the surface thereby pulling the bottom anchor up towards the surface.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the through hole connector includes at least one guide element preventing rotation of the top anchor with respect to the bottom anchor.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising: attaching the bottom anchor to the through hole connecter above the surface; and passing the bottom anchor along with the through hole connector through the mounting opening from above the surface.

6. The method of claim 1, further comprising connecting a water supply tube to the faucet.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein said connecting is above said surface.

8. The method of claim 6, wherein said connecting is below said surface.

9. The method of claim 1, further comprising connecting a water supply tube to the top anchor and wherein said attaching the faucet to the top anchor connects the water supplytube to the faucet.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein said connecting is above said surface.

11. The method of claim 9, wherein said connecting is below said surface.

12. The method according to claim 1, further comprising connecting the faucet to the faucet mount by a connector.

13. A system for mounting a faucet on top of a surface having a mounting opening therein comprising: a top anchor configured to attach to the faucet; a bottom anchor; and a through hole connector configured to pass through said mounting opening and connect said top anchor positioned above said surface to said bottom anchor positioned below said surface, wherein said through hole connector is configured for tightening from above said surface to clamp said surface between said top anchor and said bottom anchor.

14. The system of claim 13, wherein said through hole connector includes a first mounting bolt threadably connected to said bottom anchor and configured to be tightened from above said surface.

15. The system of claim 13, where said through hole connector further includes a guide.

16. The system of claim 15, wherein said guide includes a second mounting bolt threadably connected to said bottom anchor and configured to be tightened from above said surface.

17. The system of claim 13, wherein said faucet includes a fitting configured to connect to a water supply tube coming from under the surface.

18. The system of claim 17, wherein said top anchor includes a faucet mount connected toa water supply tube coming from under the surface and the faucet includes a fitting configured for receiving water from said top anchor.

19. The system according to claim 13, wherein the bottom anchor is configured to facilitate insertion through the mounting opening in the surface.

20. The system according to claim 19, wherein the bottom anchor is smaller than the mounting opening.

21. The system according to claim 19, wherein the anchor is configured to partially cover the mounting opening or one or more sides thereof.

22. The system according to claim 19, wherein the anchor is configured to expand after passing through the mounting opening.
