Abstract

This electronic device comprises: a memory for storing at least one instruction; and at least one processor including a circuit device, wherein the at least one instruction is configured to be individually or collectively executed by the at least one processor so as to enable the electronic device to: acquire speech on the basis of text identified from a screen including content; on the basis of the presence of a speaker on the screen including the content, perform control to change a playback speed of the acquired speech according to characters included in the acquired speech, which are identified on the basis of a lip shape of the speaker; and on the basis of the absence of the speaker on the screen including the content, perform control to change the playback speed of the acquired speech to a multiple of the speed.
