Abstract

This battery-driven work machine is driven by the electric power of a battery and comprises: a sensor for detecting a physical quantity related to the remaining power of the battery; and a controller that stores a reference value of the physical quantity, acquires the physical quantity from the sensor, and monitors the state of the battery. The controller executes notification by means of a notification device if the physical quantity acquired from the sensor is larger than or smaller than an allowable range of the physical quantity based on the reference value.

Claims

1. A battery-powered work machine that is driven using the power of a battery, comprising: a sensor for detecting a physical quantity related to the remaining charge of the battery; and a controller that stores a reference value for the physical quantity, acquires the physical quantity from the sensor, and monitors the state of the battery, wherein the controller performs notification by an notification device when the physical quantity acquired from the sensor is greater than or less than an allowable range of the physical quantity based on the reference value.

2. A battery-powered work machine according to claim 1, wherein the controller sets the upper limit of the allowable range to a value obtained by multiplying the reference value by a predetermined coefficient greater than 1, or by adding a predetermined sum to the reference value.

3. A battery-powered work machine according to claim 1, wherein the controller sets the lower limit of the allowable range to a value obtained by multiplying the reference value by a predetermined coefficient less than 1, or by subtracting a predetermined subtraction value from the reference value.

4. A battery-powered work machine according to claim 1, wherein the controller sets the allowable range such that the width of the allowable range expands as the elapsed time from the start of work.

5. A battery-powered work machine according to claim 4, wherein the controller sets the allowable range such that the width of the allowable range expands as the elapsed time progresses until the difference between the upper or lower limit of the allowable range and the reference value reaches a predetermined value, and the width of the allowable range becomes constant after the difference between the upper or lower limit of the allowable range and the reference value reaches the predetermined value.

6. A battery-powered work machine according to claim 1, wherein the physical quantity is any of the remaining charge of the battery, the rate of change of the remaining charge of the battery over time, or the load of a hydraulic pump driven by the power of the battery.

7. A battery-powered work machine according to claim 1, wherein the controller stops the notification by the notification device when the physical quantity obtained from the sensor falls within the allowable range while the notification by the notification device is performing notification.

8. A battery-powered work machine according to claim 1, wherein the notification device performs the notification when any of the following occurs: display on a display device installed in a cab provided on the vehicle body, output sound into the cab, or a decrease in the maximum capacity of a hydraulic pump driven by the battery power.
