Abstract

A thermal reactor arrangement and a method for performing plasma-driven reactions, such as the synthesis of nitrogen oxides (NOx) in a thermal reactor arrangement comprising a plasma chamber and an expansion chamber, producing a flow of gas containing nitrogen oxides (NOx), subjecting said flow of gas to a conversion to form nitric acid and a residual gas, wherein said residual gas is recycled into said plasma chamber and / or said expansion chamber.
