AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Seals in compression pistons experience wear and deterioration due to friction and high-pressure environments, leading to fluid leakage, reduced operational efficiency, and premature failure of the piston rod.

Method used

A compression piston design incorporating a main seal and an energized seal, with a hemispherical piston rod connector to disperse pressure and minimize wear, along with a compressor control system to indicate optimal replacement times.

Benefits of technology

Enhances sealing performance, extends the lifespan of seals, and reduces damage to the piston rod by distributing pressure effectively, while providing timely replacement notifications.

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a compression piston comprising a dual seal and, more specifically, to a compression piston comprising a main seal and an energized seal. The compression piston according to various embodiments of the present disclosure comprises: a piston member having a cylindrical exterior and comprising a first piston member with which a piston rod comes into contact, and a second piston member extending from one side of the first piston member or fitted into the first piston member; and a fastening bolt which comes into contact with part of the first piston member and the second piston member to fixedly fasten the first piston member and the second piston member to each other, wherein the piston member forms a concavo-convex structure in the lengthwise direction of the outer circumference and the concavo-convex structure comprises at least one first recess and a second recess depressed in the first recess.
