Abstract

The right side view is analogue to the left side view; the design is for an elevator operating panel having a rectangular passenger-facing flat front; the elevator operating panel can be mounted in an upright position on a wall, or partially inside a wall; referenced to the front and the panel's upright position, a horizontal gap separates an upper display area and a lower area with push buttons that allow a user to specify the destination floor; within / behind the horizontal gap a loudspeaker is arranged; the push buttons are arranged in a matrix, wherein the lowest matrix row has one or three special-purpose buttons (e.g., for handicapped users, or to confirm / correct an entry).
