Abstract

An Aqua Rover Drone System (50) is a hybrid unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) engineered for intelligent landing and mobility across air, land, and water terrains. The system incorporates a lightweight aerial drone frame (1) for structural integrity, a GPS module (2) for real-time location tracking and geofencing, and an infrared sensor array (3) for detecting terrain surface temperature. An ultrasonic sensor (4) is used for precise altitude measurement during descent, while the embedded microcontroller unit (5), powered by an ESP8266EX, processes sensor data to make real-time landing decisions. Wireless telemetry and a GSM module (6) enable remote monitoring and control, supported by a stable power management system (7) for voltage regulation. A BO motor (8) activates mechanical landing gear for solid terrain, while an SG90 servo motor (9) deploys flotation devices for water landings. The right buoyant float (4) and left buoyant float (9) enable aquatic stability, and the hybrid drive wheel (11) with a wheel suspension arm (10) supports land-based movement. The drone arm assemblies (2, 7), rear left (5) and right rear (6) propeller motors, and the main drone body (3) collectively support aerial mobility. The present invention facilitates efficient task execution by enabling remote monitoring, terrain-adaptive mobility, and automated landing capabilities across air, land, and water environments.
