Claims
A process for formulating a brominated C1-C2 alkane in a solid carrier, comprising combining in a reaction vessel an aqueous solution of a water-soluble, edible polysaccharide and the brominated C1-C2 alkane to form a semi-solid, pasty, or solid mass, drying and grinding the mass to obtain a brominated polysaccharide containing a C1-C2 alkane in powder form. The invention also provides a brominated polysaccharide rich in C1-C2 alkanes.

A process for formulating a brominated C1-C2 alkane in a solid carrier, comprising combining in a reaction vessel an aqueous solution of a water-soluble edible polysaccharide and the brominated C1-C2 alkane to form a semi-solid, pasty or solid mass, drying and grinding the mass to give a polysaccharide containing a brominated C1-C2 alkane in powder form.
13. A brominated polysaccharide rich in C1-C2 alkanes.
21. A composition comprising an oil-based carrier and the C1-C2 alkane-rich brominated polysaccharide according to any one of claims 13 to 19 suspended in the carrier.
