Abstract

The invention relates to high-voltage electrical engineering. The device that changes the mode of the transformer neutral is for additional protection of the transformer from overvoltages. The device consists of thyristors and resistors and, unlike its analogues, ensures the transfer of grounded or isolated neutral modes to the neutral grounding mode through a resistance equal to the characteristic impedance of the winding at the moment of occurrence of overvoltage at the input of the transformer, which leads to the elimination of the creation of reverse voltage waves in the neutral, which leads to an increase in overvoltage.
