Abstract

A fail-safe device for an aircraft, the fail-safe device comprising: a main body (100) of the aircraft; a plurality of rotating parts (200) arranged along the circumference of the main body (100) while spaced apart from one another and configured to rotate laterally; a plurality of length adjustment units (300) each provided on the plurality of rotating parts (200), the plurality of length adjustment units (300) comprising respective propeller modules (400) at their distal ends and configured to be adjusted in length in one direction towards or away from the main body (100); and a control configured to receive a drive state of each of the propeller modules (400), and in response to the detection that one of the propeller modules (400) has failed, the control is configured to set a position of each propeller module (400).by controlling each rotating part (200) and each length adjustment unit (300) to distribute the thrust originating from the drive of the propeller module (400) evenly with the main body (100) as the center, wherein the length adjustment units (300) each comprise a plurality of sleeve parts (310), the plurality of sleeve parts being arranged to overlap one another in order to move slidably and thereby to set an overall length of the length adjustment units (300), and wherein each of the sleeve parts (310) has a guide slot (311) on its outer circumferential surface and the guide slots (311) of the individual sleeve parts (310) are designed to engage with one another.
