AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing winding devices struggle to maintain the regularity of the shape of windings, particularly in roller conveyor systems, leading to deformation due to machine stoppages and weight distribution issues.

Method used

A forming device with a feed group, calenders, an auxiliary belt, guide means, loading and discharge means, and a pneumatic actuation circuit to control the winding process, ensuring uniform shaping and compacting of the coil by adjusting the position and support of the winding during the forming cycle.

Benefits of technology

Enables the production of uniformly shaped coils by preventing deformation caused by machine stoppages and weight distribution, enhancing productivity and consistency.

Abstract

Forming device (1) of a coil (L), wherein the coil (L) consists of a fabric (W) wound around a sleeve (T), for a spinning preparation machine, such as a roller web winding device, comprising: - a primary calender (22) and a secondary calender (24) for supporting or carrying the coil (L) that is formed; - a carriage (41) equipped with plates (42) positioned axially along the side of the calender, and movable along a carriage axis (Y) to accompany the coil being formed; - Loading means of the winding, which are suitable to keep the winding being formed in forced contact with the two calenders (22, 24); and - Unloading means of the coil which are suitable to keep the coil (L) suspended over the calenders (22, 24) during a forming break.
