Description

[0001] The present utility model relates to an instrument microphone system whose housing is equipped with a USB-C (CB) socket to allow the connection of various cables with different plugs.

[0002] The connection to the USB-C socket (CB) is made with a corresponding counterpart, a USB-C plug (CS).

[0003] The special feature of this system is the use of an interchangeable cable concept, in which the cables are equipped with different connector plugs (e.g. from Sennheiser (S1), Shure (S2), AKG (S3) and various others (SX)).

[0004] These cables can be easily plugged into the USB-C socket (CB) on the housing (G) of the microphone system, so that the user can select the appropriate USB-C adapter cable (K) with the pre-assembled, matching connector (S1.....SX) depending on the radio or connection type, without having to purchase the entire microphone system again.

[0005] Since different wireless audio systems (Sennheiser (S1), Shure (S2), AKG (S3) and various others (SX),...) use different connectors (S1....SX), you are currently forced to buy a completely new microphone system when you change your wireless system, as the connection cable is usually permanently integrated into the microphone system and therefore not removable or replaceable.

Its excellent contact characteristics provide optimal signal transmission from the microphone system to the wireless transmitter via the corresponding connection cable (K).

Claims

[1] A microphone system with a flexible, interchangeable cable system for connection to various radio systems, wherein the microphone system is equipped with a single USB-C interface and can be combined with a variety of connectors (e.g. mini XLR 4-pin, mini XLR 3-pin, mini jack plug 3-pin, ...). [2] The connecting cables are each configured so that they can be connected to a USB-C socket via a USB-C plug, the USB-C socket being installed in a universal electronics housing of the instrument microphone system. [3] The connection between the microphone system and the respective cable set is made via a USB-C connection, with the USB-C plug being provided on the cable set and the USB-C socket being provided in the universal electronics housing of the microphone system. [4] The arrangement allows connection to different radio systems (e.g. Sennheiser, AKG, Shure, etc.) by variable selection of the appropriate cables or connectors, without changing the central microphone system electronics. [5] The universal electronics enclosure has a standardized housing platform in which the USB-C socket is permanently integrated, and the cable sets are provided via an interchangeable mechanical attachment to the enclosure. [6] The USB-C connection supports both data and power transfer between the microphone system and cable sets.
