Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of applying viscous liquids, in particular sealants. Specifically, the invention relates to devices and systems, and to uses thereof, for applying such liquids to workpieces to be wetted.
[0002] The technical field of applying viscous liquids, especially sealants, plays a crucial role in various industrial and craft applications. Viscous liquids, such as adhesives, sealants, or fillers, are frequently used to create bonds, seal surfaces, or fill cavities. The method of application of these materials can significantly influence the success and quality of the final product.
[0003] The application of sealants in construction, particularly during the installation of pre-wall mounting systems, requires precise and controlled application. Faulty or uneven applications can lead to leaks, which in the long term can cause damage to the structure and increase repair costs.
[0004] Common, simple nozzles allow for precise metering of the viscous fluid, but require significant time for application. These nozzles are typically designed for spot or line applications and often require multiple passes to cover larger areas or a large number of individual workpieces. This can lead to inefficient workflows and slow down the overall process.
[0005] Furthermore, nozzles are known that enable application over a flat area. However, these have the disadvantage that the distribution of the liquid can be asymmetrical depending on its viscosity. This asymmetry can lead to uneven and imprecise application. In many cases, however, precise metering of the viscous liquid is essential to ensure high quality and reliability of the final product. Moreover, even with these nozzles, application to multiple workpieces simultaneously is not easily feasible, meaning each individual workpiece must be treated sequentially.
[0006] The present invention aims to overcome these disadvantages and to provide a device that enables time-efficient, uniform and precise application of viscous liquids.
[0007] In a first aspect, the aforementioned problem is solved according to the invention by an attachment nozzle for applying a viscous liquid, in particular a sealant, to a workpiece to be wetted, the attachment nozzle comprising: an inlet channel with an inlet opening; and exactly two application channels, each with an application opening, wherein the inlet channel is divided into the two application channels.
[0008] In a second aspect, the aforementioned problem is further solved according to the invention by a system for applying a viscous liquid, in particular a sealant, to a workpiece to be wetted, the system comprising: an attachment nozzle according to the first aspect; and a container for viscous liquids with a container opening; wherein the inlet opening of the attachment nozzle can be mounted or is mounted to the container opening of the container for viscous liquids.
[0009] In a third aspect, the aforementioned problem is further solved according to the invention by using the nozzle attachment according to the first aspect or the system according to the second aspect for applying a viscous liquid to at least one workpiece to be wetted.
[0010] Furthermore, a fourth aspect is disclosed according to which the aforementioned problem is solved by a method for applying viscous liquids to at least one workpiece to be wetted, comprising: arranging an attachment nozzle according to the first aspect or a system according to the second aspect on the at least one workpiece to be wetted; and applying the viscous liquid through the attachment nozzle to the at least one workpiece to be wetted.
[0011] The following describes various embodiments of the nozzle attachment, the system, the use, and the method, with each embodiment being considered a corresponding embodiment of the nozzle attachment, the system, the use, and the method, respectively. In particular, a device feature or means for carrying out a process step is intended to disclose the corresponding process step itself, and a process step is intended to disclose a device with corresponding means for carrying out a corresponding process step. Furthermore, the individual embodiments can be combined with one another as desired.
[0012] As previously described, the nozzle of the first aspect includes a feed channel with an inlet opening. The feed channel can be configured to direct a viscous fluid from the inlet opening to the application channels. It can divide into the two application channels. In particular, it can be negatively defined by the surrounding material. The feed channel can have a main axis along which the viscous fluid can flow from the inlet opening to the application channels. Alternatively, the feed channel can have one or more bends.
[0013] The inlet opening can be an opening at the upper end of the inlet channel through which a viscous liquid can enter the inlet channel. It can be connected to a container for viscous liquids and / or be designed to accommodate an outlet nozzle of the container, allowing the viscous liquid to flow from the container into the inlet channel. The inlet opening can have a circular shape. Alternatively, the inlet opening can have a polygonal, oval, or irregular shape.
[0014] By dividing the feed channel into two application channels, the nozzle attachment enables the uniform application of viscous liquid to two regions of the workpiece simultaneously. In particular, the nozzle attachment of the first aspect allows for precise metering of the viscous liquid, similar to the simple nozzles described above. However, compared to the simple nozzles described above, the application time for multiple applications is significantly reduced because the nozzle attachment of the first aspect allows for the simultaneous application of two spot or line applications.
[0015] As described above, the simultaneous application of multiple spot or line applications is impractical if the different applications are uneven or poorly controlled. The nozzle of the first aspect enables the uniform and well-controlled application of two spot or line applications because the division of a viscous liquid into two application channels is easily controlled. It has been shown that the effect of uneven distribution of the viscous liquid can be reduced, in particular, by dividing it into (only) two application channels. Thus, the nozzle of the first aspect, the system of the second aspect, the use of the third aspect, and the method of the fourth aspect enable the time-saving, uniform, and precise application of viscous liquids.
[0016] In one embodiment, the inlet channel, particularly by means of a symmetrical bifurcation, divides into the two application channels such that a viscous liquid introduced through the inlet opening is distributed substantially evenly between the two application channels. In other words, the inlet channel divides into the two application channels such that a viscous liquid introduced through the inlet opening is distributed between the two application channels in substantially equal volume proportions. "Substantially evenly" or "substantially in equal proportions" can encompass a deviation of less than 20%, particularly less than 10%, preferably less than 5% of the total volume of the distributed viscous liquid. Alternatively, this can encompass a material-related fluctuation in the flow rate, for example, due to naturally occurring density differences, turbulence, and / or backflow of the viscous liquid.Dividing the liquid evenly can further improve the even and precise application of the viscous liquid.
[0017] In one embodiment, the length, diameter, cross-section, and / or curvature of the two application channels are essentially the same. The length of an application channel can refer to its entire extent from the inlet channel to the application opening. It can thus represent the linear distance a viscous fluid must travel through the application channel. The diameter can represent a measure of the width of the application channel at a specific point along its length. In particular, the diameter can represent an average cross-sectional area along the length of the channel. The cross-section can represent the shape and size of the channel in a plane perpendicular to its longitudinal axis. This can be round, oval, or polygonal. The curvature can be defined by a radius and indicate the degree of curvature of the application channel.Essentially the same may include deviations in dimensions of less than 10%, in particular less than 5%, or manufacturing-related variations.
[0018] Alternatively or additionally, the two application channels are essentially identical in shape. In other words, in an exemplary embodiment, the geometric design of the two application channels is essentially the same. "Essentially the same" can include dimensional deviations of less than 10%, particularly less than 5%, or manufacturing-related variations. These uniform dimensions allow the application channels to ensure even distribution of the viscous fluid, contributing to precise and controlled application and thus increasing the efficiency of the application process.
[0019] In one embodiment, the two application channels are arranged essentially symmetrically relative to the feed channel, particularly relative to a main axis of the feed channel. In another embodiment, the two application channels are arranged essentially mirror-symmetrically to each other. "Essentially symmetrical" can include deviations in symmetry of less than 20%, particularly less than 10%, or a deviation of the angles to the main axis of less than 10°, particularly less than 5°, or manufacturing-related variations. A symmetrical arrangement of the two application channels further promotes a uniform and precise application of the viscous liquid.
[0020] In one embodiment, the two application channels extend in a V-shape from the inlet channel. In other words, the two application channels can each be straight and diverge from a connection point with the inlet channel at an angle of 10–140° to each other. This design has proven particularly advantageous for a uniform distribution of the viscous liquid between the two application channels.
[0021] In one embodiment, the nozzle attachment further comprises a flat support surface, wherein the flat support surface at least partially encloses at least one application opening. The flat support surface can be composed of several sub-surfaces, which need not be contiguous. For example, the two application channels can be spatially separated from each other by a gap, such that each of the two application channels has its own sub-support surface. Together, the two sub-support surfaces can form the flat support surface. In particular, the two sub-support surfaces can be flat and lie in a common plane. In this case, each of the two sub-support surfaces could encompass one application opening. It is also possible that the two application channels have a continuous flat support surface. Then the flat support surface could encompass both application openings. The flat contact surface can ensure simultaneous precise application of the viscous liquid through the two application openings, since when the flat contact surface is fully in contact with a flat surface of a workpiece to be wetted, the two application openings can be equally in contact with the flat surface of the workpiece to be wetted.
[0022] In one embodiment, the flat support surface spans a plane that is essentially perpendicular to a main axis of the inlet channel. In other words, the flat support surface allows the nozzle to be positioned vertically on a flat surface. This vertical positioning of the nozzle has proven particularly advantageous for the uniform application of the viscous liquid.
[0023] In one embodiment, the nozzle attachment further comprises at least one stop, wherein the at least one stop is arranged laterally on the flat support surface. The at least one stop can, in particular, extend perpendicularly to the plane defined by the flat support surface, especially away from the feed channel. In other words, the at least one stop can laterally delimit the support surface. This enables precise and reproducible positioning of the nozzle attachment on a workpiece to be wetted, since, when the flat support surface rests on a surface of the workpiece to be wetted, the at least one stop can limit the distance between the two application openings and a lateral edge of the workpiece to be wetted, provided the at least one stop laterally abuts this lateral edge.
[0024] In one embodiment, the at least one stop has a predetermined breaking point at which it can be detached from the flat support surface. It is possible that a user might find the at least one lateral stop bothersome or wish to use the nozzle in a different way than intended. To ensure that the at least one lateral stop does not hinder the versatile use of the nozzle, the predetermined breaking point allows a user to remove the at least one stop from the nozzle without damaging it.
[0025] In one embodiment, the application openings each have a recess in the flat contact surface and a lateral recess in the application channels, so that when the flat contact surface rests on a surface of the workpiece, a viscous liquid guided by the nozzle can escape from the application channels through the lateral recess. In another embodiment, the lateral recess is triangular in shape. The lateral recess can be negatively defined by the surrounding material of the nozzle. The lateral recess can enable a particularly uniform and precisely metered application of the viscous liquid.
[0026] In one embodiment, the lateral recess is arranged on the application channels such that a viscous liquid guided through the nozzle can escape from the application channels through the lateral recess essentially perpendicular to an axis connecting the lateral recesses of the two application channels and essentially parallel to the flat contact surface. In other words, in an exemplary embodiment, the lateral recess can be arranged on each of the two application channels such that parallel application of the viscous liquid in two straight lines is enabled. In other words, in an exemplary embodiment, the orientation of the two lateral recesses is essentially the same, in particular differing by less than 20°, preferably differing by less than 10°.
[0027] In one embodiment, the nozzle is designed to be mounted with its inlet opening onto a container for viscous liquids, particularly onto an opening of the container. In a preferred embodiment, the inlet opening has an internal locking mechanism that enables a positive locking of the nozzle onto standard serial outlet nozzles of containers for viscous liquids, such as cartridges or pouches. For example, the locking mechanism can have a thread and / or a click-lock feature. This can facilitate particularly easy mounting of the nozzle and ensure high compatibility.
[0028] In one embodiment, the nozzle attachment is at least partially made of a plastic. In a preferred embodiment, the nozzle attachment is made entirely of a plastic. In particular, the plastic is a castable plastic. This can enable economical and error-free manufacturing. Furthermore, plastic nozzle attachments can be lightweight and robust, which facilitates comfortable handling.
[0029] In one embodiment, the nozzle attachment is manufactured in one piece. In another embodiment, the nozzle attachment cannot be opened non-destructively. The one-piece design of the nozzle attachment can facilitate its simple manufacture, for example, through a suitable casting process. Furthermore, it has been found that one-piece nozzle attachments are particularly durable and robust. In particular, there is no risk of faulty assembly or leaks at seams with one-piece nozzle attachments, and the nozzle attachment can withstand greater forces.
[0030] In one embodiment, each of the application openings of the application channels can be closed. In particular, each of the application openings can be closed individually. In other words, in one embodiment, only one application opening can be closed without closing any other application opening. In a preferred embodiment, each of the application openings of the application channels can be closed individually. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the application openings can be closed reversibly. In other words, the application openings can be closed and then reopened. Closing an application opening can include closing the lateral recess. The closure can be achieved, for example, by means of corresponding slides that close the respective application openings or the corresponding application channels.
[0031] In one embodiment, the container for viscous liquids is a cartridge or a pouch. In other words, the container for viscous liquids can be a standardized or conventional container for viscous liquids.
[0032] In one embodiment, the system further comprises a container pressing tool, wherein the container pressing tool is configured to receive the container for viscous liquids and, upon manual or mechanical actuation of the container pressing tool, to force the contents of the container for viscous liquids out of the container for viscous liquids through the nozzle. A container pressing tool can, for example, be adapted to the container for viscous liquids. For instance, a cartridge gun is suitable for dispensing the contents of a cartridge from it. However, it is also possible for the dispensing to be carried out manually by a user.
[0033] In one embodiment, the system further comprises at least one workpiece to be wetted. The at least one workpiece to be wetted can be made of any commercially applicable material, such as glass, concrete, metal, plastic, and others. Furthermore, the at least one workpiece to be wetted can have any commercially applicable dimensions. Preferably, the at least one workpiece to be wetted has at least one flat surface, and this flat surface is specifically designed for wetting. In one embodiment, the workpiece to be wetted has multiple surfaces to be wetted.
[0034] In one embodiment, the at least one stop and / or the flat contact surface is substantially form-fitting with the outer contours of the at least one workpiece to be wetted. The outer contours can include a flat surface of the at least one workpiece to be wetted. Alternatively or additionally, the outer contours can include lateral contours that border a surface of the at least one workpiece to be wetted. For example, the outer contour corresponds to an edge of the at least one workpiece to be wetted. In an exemplary embodiment, the flat contact surface is substantially form-fitting with a surface of the at least one workpiece to be wetted. In another exemplary embodiment, the at least one stop is form-fitting with an edge of the at least one workpiece to be wetted. These embodiments can enable a particularly precise and uniform application of the viscous liquid onto the at least one workpiece to be wetted.
[0035] In one embodiment, the nozzle can be arranged on a surface of the at least one workpiece to be wetted, such that a main axis of the inlet channel is substantially perpendicular to the surface of the at least one workpiece to be wetted, and / or such that the flat contact surface rests on the surface of the at least one workpiece to be wetted. As described above, a perpendicular arrangement of the nozzle can further promote a uniform application of the viscous liquid.
[0036] In one embodiment, the workpiece has at least one edge parallel to the flank of the at least one stop, so that the at least one stop can be guided precisely along the flank-parallel edge. By guiding the at least one stop along the flank-parallel edge, a particularly efficient and uniform application of the viscous liquid can be achieved. In particular, a uniform distance between the applied area of the viscous liquid and the flank-parallel edge can be ensured, for example, to prevent the viscous liquid from escaping beyond the flank-parallel edge.
[0037] In one embodiment, the at least one workpiece to be wetted has at least one lateral groove on at least one side edge, and the at least one stop is designed to be guided at least partially by the at least one groove. The lateral groove can further stabilize the guidance of the at least one stop. For example, the lateral groove can prevent the nozzle from being accidentally lifted off the at least one workpiece to be wetted. This can enable a particularly reliable and error-free application of the viscous liquid.
[0038] In one embodiment, the at least one workpiece to be wetted includes at least one groove, wherein the at least one groove can accommodate the at least one stop in a substantially form-fitting manner, such that the flat contact surface is in direct contact with a surface of the at least one workpiece to be wetted. In particular, the at least one workpiece to be wetted can have the at least one groove on a surface to be wetted. For example, a larger surface to be wetted can thereby be divided into several sections, wherein the at least one groove can enable the nozzle to be guided along the several sections.
[0039] In one embodiment, the nozzle is designed to be placed directly onto the workpiece to be wetted, particularly without a spacer. In other words, the nozzle can be designed to be placed in direct contact with the flat contact surface on the workpiece to be wetted. This can enable particularly precise metering of the viscous liquid.
[0040] In one embodiment, the viscous liquid is a viscous adhesive, in particular a sealant. In another embodiment, the viscous liquid is a higher viscosity, pasty sealant, in particular with a hardness of 10 to 50 Shore (A). The Shore (A) hardness is determined according to the DIN 53505 standard and is a measure of the hardness or viscosity of viscous liquids.
[0041] Especially with higher viscosity, pasty sealants, there is an increased interest in a time-efficient, uniform and precise application of the sealant, as application is usually associated with increased effort.
[0042] In one embodiment, the nozzle according to the first aspect or the system according to the second aspect is used for the simultaneous, equal-quantity, and / or positionally defined application of a viscous liquid, particularly in parallel lines. In another embodiment, the viscous liquid is applied simultaneously, equal-quantity, and / or positionally defined, particularly in parallel lines. Simultaneous application of a viscous liquid through the two application surfaces can result in significant time savings compared to simply applying the viscous liquid. Equal-quantity application of the viscous liquid can enable particularly uniform application, whereby "uniform" can refer, in particular, to a comparison of the two applications from the two application openings. Positionally defined application can enable particularly precise application of the viscous liquid.
[0043] In one embodiment, the nozzle described in the first aspect, or the system described in the second aspect, is used to apply a viscous liquid to two workpieces to be wetted. In another embodiment, the viscous liquid is applied to two workpieces to be wetted through the nozzle. Particularly in industrial applications where several identical workpieces are to be wetted by a simple line application, the nozzle or system can result in significant time savings. For example, two workpieces to be wetted can be positioned side by side under the nozzle, with each of the two application openings positioned over one of the two workpieces. Thus, the nozzle can enable the simultaneous wetting of two workpieces.
[0044] In one embodiment, the nozzle is positioned at an angle of 90 ± 20°, preferably 90°, on the workpiece to be wetted. This angle can be defined, in particular, by a normal to a surface of the workpiece and a principal axis of the feed channel. As previously described, a vertical arrangement of the nozzle has proven to be particularly advantageous.
[0045] In one embodiment, the nozzle attachment is reused on multiple containers for viscous liquids. In other words, the nozzle attachment can be reusable. This can include, in particular, reusing the nozzle attachment on different days, as well as reusing it after a container has been emptied. To put it another way, the nozzle attachment can have been attached to a first container for viscous liquids and then, immediately afterward or considerably later, to a second container for viscous liquids. This allows for a particularly economical and environmentally conscious use of the nozzle attachment.
[0046] In one embodiment, the viscous fluid is applied manually or by means of a battery-powered dispensing tool. In another embodiment, the dispensing rate of the viscous fluid can be adjusted and / or controlled manually or by the battery-powered dispensing tool. Manual application can involve the use of a manual dispensing tool, such as a cartridge gun. Alternatively, a cartridge or a hose container can be manually emptied. Manual application can, for example, allow the pressure applied to the container to be adjusted to the dispensing rate in order to apply the viscous fluid precisely, for instance, if the dispensing rate is not linearly related to the pressure applied to the container. The dispensing rate can be defined as the volume of viscous fluid that has escaped from the nozzle.
[0047] In one embodiment, the nozzle and the at least one workpiece to be wetted are moved relative to each other, in particular parallel to an orientation of the lateral recess. This enables the viscous liquid to be applied in a line. In particular, the speed of the relative movement can be adjusted to the exit velocity of the viscous liquid in order to obtain lines that are as uniformly dosed as possible. Uniformly dosed in this context can mean that the amount of viscous liquid applied does not change significantly in the direction of movement, for example, so that fluctuations in the exit quantity are less than 30%, in particular less than 20%, preferably less than 10% of the average exit quantity. In another embodiment, the exit quantity and / or the relative movement are controlled mechanically.
[0048] In one embodiment, a relative movement of the nozzle and the at least one workpiece to be wetted is generated by a movement of the nozzle or by a movement of the workpiece. In other words, for example, the workpiece can be fixed and the nozzle is moved in a straight line over it, or the nozzle can be fixed and the workpiece can be moved under it. This can enable a particularly smooth movement, since only the degrees of freedom of movement of the nozzle or the workpiece need to be considered.
[0049] In one embodiment, the relative movement of the nozzle and the at least one workpiece to be wetted is guided by the at least one stop. In other words, the at least one stop can prevent unwanted lateral slippage of the nozzle relative to the workpiece by limiting its lateral movement. This can make it possible to apply particularly straight lines of the viscous liquid to the workpiece.
[0050] Further features and advantages of the nozzle attachment, the system, its use and method will become apparent from the following description of exemplary embodiments, with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0051] The drawings show Fig. 1a, Fig. 1b Perspective views of an exemplary embodiment of an attachment nozzle according to the different aspects; Fig. 2a, Fig. 2b Cross-sectional views of an exemplary embodiment of an attachment nozzle according to the different aspects; Fig. 3a-c different steps in an exemplary use of an embodiment of a system according to the invention; Fig. 4a-c various steps of an exemplary use of an embodiment of a system according to the invention; and Fig. 5a, Fig. 5b Perspective views of the works in Fig. 3c and Fig. 4c.
[0052] Fig. 1a and Fig. Figure 1b shows perspective views of an embodiment of the attachment nozzle 100.
[0053] Fig. Figure 1a shows a nozzle 100 for applying a viscous liquid 200 (not shown here), in particular a sealant, to a workpiece to be wetted. The nozzle 100 comprises an inlet channel 110 with an inlet opening 112. The nozzle 100 comprises exactly two application channels 120, each with an application opening 122, wherein the inlet channel 110 divides into the two application channels 120. A viscous liquid 200 can, as in Fig. 3 and Fig. As shown in Figure 4, the liquid 200 is drawn in through the inlet opening 112 and guided through the inlet channel 110 into the two application channels 120. The viscous liquid 200 can then escape from the two application channels 120 through the application openings 122. The illustration in Fig. 1a and Fig. Figure 1b shows only the outer contours of the nozzle attachment, with the inlet channel 110 and the application channels 120 designed as recesses in the material encompassing them (see Fig. 2a, Fig. 2b for cross-sectional views).
[0054] By dividing the viscous fluid 120 into exactly two application channels, the distribution ratio can be precisely controlled. This allows a user to apply two coats simultaneously and evenly to a workpiece to be wetted using only one source of viscous fluid. This can lead to significant time savings without compromising uniformity and precision compared to a single application nozzle.
[0055] Fig. Figure 1a shows that the inlet channel 110 divides into the two application channels 120 by a symmetrical fork 130. The nozzle attachment 100 shown is made entirely of plastic and is manufactured in one piece. In particular, the nozzle attachment cannot be opened without being damaged.
[0056] Furthermore, the attachment nozzle is designed to be mounted with the inlet opening 112 on a container for viscous liquids 310 (see Fig. 3a, Fig. 4a). The inlet opening 112 has an internal locking aid (thread) which enables a positive locking of the attachment nozzle on serial standard outlet nozzles of containers for viscous liquids 310, such as sealant cartridges.
[0057] Fig. 1b shows a view of the attachment nozzle from Fig. 1a with a perspective view from a low angle.
[0058] The nozzle attachment 100 further comprises a flat support surface 140, wherein the flat support surface 140 surrounds both application openings 122. In particular, the flat support surface 140 consists of two partial support surfaces that are not contiguous. Both partial support surfaces are flat. Furthermore, both partial support surfaces lie in a common plane. The partial support surfaces thus together form the support surface 140.
[0059] The nozzle attachment 100 further comprises two stops 150, the stops 150 being arranged laterally on the flat support surface 140. The stops 150 extend perpendicularly to the plane defined by the flat support surface 140, away from the inlet channel 110. In other words, if the inlet opening represents the upper end of the nozzle attachment 100, the stops 150 extend downwards from the support surface 140 (as shown in Figure 1). Fig. 1a shown in perspective).
[0060] The two stops 150 each have a predetermined breaking point 152 at which the stops 150 can be separated from the flat support surface 150. This has the advantage that a user who finds the stops 150 bothersome can remove them without much effort. Furthermore, the stops 150 break off at the predetermined breaking point 152 if excessive force is accidentally applied during use, which could otherwise damage the nozzle 100. Thus, the nozzle 100 can be protected from unintended damage.
[0061] The application openings 120 each have a recess in the flat support surface 140 and a lateral recess 124 on the application channels 122, so that a viscous liquid 200 guided through the nozzle 100 can escape from the application channels 120 through the lateral recess 124 when the flat support surface 140 rests on a surface of the workpiece. The lateral recess 124 is triangular in shape.
[0062] In particular, the lateral recess 124 is arranged on the application channels 120 such that a viscous liquid 200 guided by the nozzle 100 can escape from the application channels 120 through the lateral recess 124 essentially perpendicular to an axis connecting the lateral recesses of the two application channels 120 and essentially parallel to the flat support surface 140 (shown schematically in Fig. 3-5 shown).
[0063] Fig. 2a and Fig. Figure 2b shows cross-sectional views of the attachment nozzle 100. Fig. 1.
[0064] Fig. Figure 2a shows a vertical cross-sectional view of the attachment nozzle 100. Fig. 1. In addition, there is a level in Fig. 2a is shown (marked with IIb), which is the cross-sectional plane of Fig. 2b represents. Fig. Figure 2b thus shows a cross-section of the attachment nozzle 100 at the level of the support surface 140.
[0065] Fig. Figure 2a shows that the inlet channel 110 divides into the two application channels 120 by a symmetrical bifurcation 130. The inlet channel 110 divides into the two application channels 120 in such a way that a viscous liquid 200 introduced through the inlet opening 112 is distributed essentially evenly between the two application channels 120. While this is achieved in the illustrated embodiment by a symmetrical design of the nozzle 100, a combination of different diameters and lengths of the application channels 120 is also possible to achieve an even distribution.
[0066] The length, diameter, cross-section, and curvature of the two application channels 120 are essentially identical. In other words, the two application channels 120 are essentially identical in shape and their geometric configuration is essentially the same. Because the two application channels 120 are identical in shape, an even distribution of the viscous liquid 200 between them results in a uniform application of the viscous liquid 200 through both application channels 120.
[0067] Furthermore, the two application channels 120 are arranged essentially symmetrically relative to a main axis 114 of the feed channel 110. Since the lateral recesses 124 (as in Fig. Since the two application channels 120 (as shown in Figure 1) are arranged on the same side of the nozzle attachment 100, they are essentially arranged symmetrically to each other. Axial symmetry would also be possible in an embodiment without lateral recesses 124, or with the lateral recesses 124 arranged opposite each other, for example to effect linear applications in a circle by rotating the nozzle attachment about the main axis 114.
[0068] The two application channels 120 extend from the inlet channel in a V-shape. However, the two application channels 120 can also extend from the inlet channel 110 in a U-shape, T-shape, or bell shape.
[0069] The flat contact surface 140 spans a plane that is essentially perpendicular to the main axis 114 of the inlet channel. This allows for convenient use of the nozzle attachment 100. A user therefore only needs to position the nozzle attachment perpendicular to the workpiece 320 to be wetted in order to achieve full-surface contact between the flat contact surface 140 and the workpiece 320.
[0070] In an embodiment not shown, each of the application openings 122 of the application channels 120 can be individually closed. In particular, each of the application openings 122 of the application channels 120 can be reversibly closed. This can be achieved, for example, by a plug, a sleeve, or a flap.
[0071] Fig. Figures 3a-c show various steps of an exemplary use of an embodiment of a system 300 according to the invention.
[0072] In Fig. Figure 3a shows a system 300 for applying a viscous liquid 200, in particular a sealant, to a workpiece 320 to be wetted. The system 300 comprises a nozzle 100, as shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. Figure 2 shows the system 300. The system also includes a container for viscous liquids 310 with a container opening 312. The container for viscous liquids 310 is a cartridge. The inlet opening 112 of the nozzle 100 is mounted on the container opening 312 of the container for viscous liquids 310, in particular by means of the thread of the inlet opening 112, which is shown in a simplified graphical representation.
[0073] Furthermore, the system 300 includes a workpiece 320 to be wetted. The workpiece 320 to be wetted is in direct contact with the flat support surface 140 and is form-fittingly enclosed at its lateral ends by the two stops 150. In other words, the workpiece 320 to be wetted has two edges parallel to the flanks of the two stops 150, so that the two stops 150 can each be guided form-fittingly along the flank-parallel edge.
[0074] The two stops 150 and the flat support surface 140 are also essentially form-fitting with the outer contours of the workpiece 320 to be wetted. The nozzle attachment 100 is arranged on the upper surface of the workpiece 320 to be wetted, such that a main axis of the inlet channel is essentially perpendicular to the surface of the workpiece 320 to be wetted and so that the flat support surface 140 rests on the surface of the workpiece 320 to be wetted.
[0075] The nozzle attachment is mounted at a 90° angle onto the workpiece 320 to be wetted. Furthermore, the nozzle attachment is mounted directly onto the at least one workpiece 320 to be wetted, in particular without a spacer.
[0076] In one embodiment not shown, the workpiece 320 to be wetted has at least one lateral groove on at least one side edge, wherein the two stops 150 are arranged to be guided at least partially through the at least one groove. In another embodiment not shown, the workpiece 320 to be wetted contains at least one groove, wherein the at least one groove can accommodate the at least one stop 150 in a substantially form-fitting manner, such that the flat contact surface 140 is in direct contact with a surface of the workpiece 320 to be wetted. This could be represented in the present figure by the workpiece 320 to be wetted extending further downwards, to the left and to the right, wherein the workpiece 320 to be wetted would have recesses at the locations where in Fig. 3a the two stops 150 are shown.
[0077] The system also includes a container pressing tool (not shown for practical reasons). The container pressing tool is designed to hold the container for viscous liquids 310 and, when the container pressing tool is actuated manually or mechanically, to force the contents of the container for viscous liquids 310 out of the container for viscous liquids 310 through the nozzle 100.
[0078] Fig. Figure 3b shows the System 300 from Fig. 3a, wherein the viscous liquid 200 was applied from the container for viscous liquids 310 through the nozzle 100 in the direction 330 onto the workpiece 320 to be wetted. The viscous liquid 200 is applied manually or by means of a battery-powered dispensing tool. The dispensing quantity of the viscous liquid 200 can be adjusted and / or controlled manually or by means of the battery-powered dispensing tool.
[0079] In one embodiment, the nozzle attachment is reused on several containers for viscous liquids 310, for example after the one in Fig. Container 310 shown in 3b has been completely emptied, or if the nozzle attachment is used on two different days. The in Fig. 3b The viscous liquid 200 shown is a high-viscosity, pasty sealant, in particular with a hardness of 10 to 50 Shore (A).
[0080] In Fig. Figure 3c shows how the viscous liquid 200 was applied to the workpiece 320 to be wetted. The triangular shape of the viscous liquid 200 is due to the triangular shape of the lateral recess 124. A perspective view of the application is shown in Fig. 5a shown.
[0081] Fig. Figures 4a-c show various steps of an exemplary use of a further embodiment of a system according to the invention.
[0082] The embodiment differs from that described in the Fig. The embodiment shown in Figures 3a-c differs in that, instead of a single workpiece 320 to be wetted, the present embodiment has two workpieces 320 to be wetted. Thus, the viscous liquid 200 is applied to two workpieces 320 to be wetted. The two workpieces 320 to be wetted are identical in design and are arranged uniformly under the nozzle 100.
[0083] The application of the viscous liquid to the two workpieces to be wetted 320, as in Fig. As shown in Figure 4b, this results in each of the two workpieces to be wetted receiving a viscous liquid via a separate application channel. Fig. This task is shown in 4c. Fig. The system shown in Figure 4 thus makes it possible to wet two workpieces simultaneously with a viscous liquid.
[0084] Fig. 5a and Fig. 5b shows perspective views of the representations in Fig. 3c and Fig. 4c.
[0085] With the in Fig. 3 and Fig. In the system 300 shown in Figure 4, both a point application and a line application of viscous liquid 200 can be applied to the at least one workpiece 320 to be wetted. Fig. 5a and Fig. Figure 5b shows linear applications of the viscous liquid 200 onto the workpiece 320 to be wetted ( Fig. 3c) or the two workpieces to be wetted ( Fig. 4c).
[0086] To find one in Fig.To obtain the linear application shown in Figure 5, the nozzle 100 and the at least one workpiece 320 to be wetted are moved relative to each other. The linear application is particularly uniform if the movement is parallel to an alignment of the lateral recess 124. A relative movement of the nozzle 100 and the at least one workpiece 320 to be wetted can be generated by moving the nozzle 100 or by moving the workpiece 320. The relative movement of the nozzle 100 and / or the workpiece 320 to be wetted is guided by the at least one stop 150.
[0087] The application of the viscous liquid 200 in this manner is carried out simultaneously, in equal quantities, and with defined positions in parallel lines. This enables a time-efficient, uniform, and precise application of the viscous liquid 200 to one or two workpieces 320 to be wetted.
