Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an oil separator that separates oil contained in air that has passed through equipment from the air. [Background technology]
[0002] Trucks, buses, construction machinery, and other vehicles use compressed air sent from a compressor directly connected to the engine to control systems such as brakes and suspension. This compressed air contains moisture from the atmosphere and oil that lubricates the inside of the compressor. If compressed air containing this moisture and oil gets into each system, it can cause rust and swelling of rubber components (O-rings, etc.), resulting in malfunctions. For this reason, an air dryer is installed downstream of the compressor to remove moisture and oil from the compressed air.
[0003] The air dryer is equipped with a desiccant to remove moisture and a filter to capture oil. This air dryer has a dehumidifying effect to remove moisture from the compressed air sent from the compressor, and a regenerating effect to discharge the moisture adsorbed in the desiccant to the outside.
[0004] Since the air discharged from the air dryer during desiccant regeneration contains oil as well as moisture, an oil separator is sometimes provided at the drain outlet of the air dryer in consideration of the environmental impact (see, for example, Patent Document 1). This oil separator has a collision material inside the housing against which the air containing moisture and oil collides, and separates the moisture and oil contained in the air by colliding the air against the collision material. The separated oil is collected inside the oil separator, and the clean air from which the oil has been removed is released to the outside. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0005] [Patent Document 1] JP 2014-091059 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0006] In the oil separator described in Patent Document 1, the position of the intake port is determined when the position of the exhaust port is determined. Meanwhile, the position of the air dryer, which is the connection object connected to the intake port, differs depending on the vehicle to which it is to be attached. For this reason, depending on the position of the connection object such as the air dryer, the connection hose to be connected to the intake port must be routed and attached, which can make the installation work of the connection hose between the connection object and the oil separator and the installation work of the oil separator to the vehicle complicated.
[0007] These problems are not limited to oil separators connected to air dryers mounted on vehicles, but are generally common to oil separators attached to other mounting objects.
[0008] The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide an oil separator that can be easily installed regardless of the type of vehicle. [Means for solving the problem]
[0009] The means for solving the above problems and their effects will be described below. The oil separator that solves the above problem comprises a body provided with an intake port through which compressed air flows in and an exhaust port through which clean air is discharged, a filter section housing a filter that separates the compressed air into gas and liquid, and a drain collection section that is attached to the body, covers the filter section together with the body, and collects drain liquid separated from the compressed air, wherein at least two intake ports are provided, each of the intake ports is provided in a manner that allows it to be opened, and the exhaust port is provided in a part of the body where no intake port is provided.
[0010] According to the above configuration, at least two intake ports are provided in each of the bodies, and the exhaust port is provided in a portion of the body where no intake port is provided. Therefore, the connection hose to the connection object can be connected to the intake port that is easy to attach to depending on the position of the connection object, which differs depending on the type of the attachment object. Therefore, the installation work of the oil separator is easy regardless of the type of the attachment object.
[0011] It is preferable that the oil separator is provided with at least three intake ports, the intake ports are provided so as to be able to open on three of the four sides of the side wall of the body, and the exhaust port is provided on one of the four sides of the side wall of the body where no intake port is provided.
[0012] According to the above configuration, the intake ports are provided on three of the four sides of the side wall of the body, and the exhaust port is provided on the remaining one of the four sides of the side wall of the body. Therefore, the position of the intake port relative to the exhaust port can be selected from three of the four sides of the side wall of the body, and the distance between the intake ports can be set large, making the installation work of the oil separator easy.
[0013] The oil separator preferably includes a mounting member having a mounting portion rotatably mounted to the body, and a fixing portion for fixing the oil separator to an object to which the oil separator is to be mounted.
[0014] According to the above configuration, the body is rotatable at the mounting portion of the mounting member, so that the position of the exhaust port can be selected by rotating the body relative to the mounting member, and further the position of the intake port can be selected from three sides.
[0015] Regarding the above-mentioned oil separator, it is preferable that the body has either a female screw or a male screw that screws into the female screw, and the drain storage portion has the other of the female screw or the male screw, and that the body and the drain storage portion are fixed by the female screw and the male screw.
[0016] According to the above-described configuration, the body and the drain reservoir are fixed by the female screw and the male screw, so that the drain reservoir can be easily attached to and detached from the body by rotating the drain reservoir in the screw direction.
[0017] The oil separator is preferably provided with a guide portion that extends from a portion where the male screw is provided and guides the male screw when the male screw is screwed into the female screw. According to the above configuration, since the guide portion is provided at the tip of the male screw portion, the guide portion comes into contact with the female screw portion before the tip of the male screw portion comes into contact with the tip of the female screw portion, which makes it easy to align the male screw with the female screw, and therefore easy to attach the drain reservoir to the body.
[0018] In the above oil separator, the length of the guide portion is preferably set to be greater than the length of the female screw. According to the above configuration, the length of the guide portion is set to be longer than the length of the female screw. Therefore, the guide portion comes into contact with the entire female screw portion before the tip of the male screw portion comes into contact with the tip of the female screw portion. Therefore, the male screw starts to screw into the female screw while the guide portion is in contact with the entire female screw, thereby improving the guide function. Effect of the Invention
[0019] According to the present invention, the oil separator can be easily attached regardless of the type of vehicle. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0021] Hereinafter, with reference to Figs. 1 to 7, an embodiment in which an oil separator is applied to a compressed air drying system mounted on a vehicle will be described. As shown in FIG. 1, a compressed air drying system that removes oil and moisture from the compressed air sent from the compressor 1 is provided downstream of the compressor 1. The compressed air drying system includes an air dryer 2 that removes oil and moisture from the compressed air. A desiccant 2a is provided inside the air dryer 2. The air dryer 2 performs a load operation in which the compressed air is passed through the desiccant 2a to remove moisture and oil, and an unload operation in which the desiccant 2a is regenerated by discharging moisture and oil captured by the desiccant 2a to the outside. The air dryer 2 sends out dried compressed air, which is compressed air from which oil and moisture have been removed by the load operation, to a system tank 6. The system tank 6 supplies compressed air to each system such as a brake and a suspension. When the pressure in the system tank 6 reaches a predetermined value, the exhaust valve 2b of the air dryer 2 is opened to perform an unload operation. When the exhaust valve 2b is opened, dry compressed air is supplied from the system tank 6 to the air dryer 2, and the dry compressed air that has flowed into the air dryer 2 flows in the opposite direction to that of the load operation. This removes the moisture and oil trapped in the desiccant 2a. The removed moisture and oil are discharged together with air from the drain outlet 2c of the air dryer 2. This air discharged from the air dryer 2 is called purge air.
[0022] The compressed air drying system is provided with a first oil mist separator 7 and a second oil mist separator 8 for removing oil mist in compressed air. The two oil mist separators 7, 8 are provided between a compressor 1 and an air dryer 2. The first oil mist separator 7 is provided upstream of the second oil mist separator 8 on the compressor 1 side. A check valve 9 is provided between the first oil mist separator 7 and the second oil mist separator 8 to prevent backflow from the second oil mist separator 8 to the first oil mist separator 7. A check valve 9 is provided between the second oil mist separator 8 and the air dryer 2 to prevent backflow from the air dryer 2 to the second oil mist separator 8.
[0023] The oil mist separator 7 has a filter 7a, and captures oil mist contained in the compressed air sent out from the compressor 1 by passing the compressed air through the filter 7a. The oil mist separator 7 is equipped with a regeneration tank (not shown) that stores regeneration compressed air. When the pressure of the regeneration tank by the compressed air supplied from the system tank 6 reaches a predetermined value, the exhaust valve 7b of the oil mist separator 7 is opened and dry compressed air is supplied from the regeneration tank to the oil mist separator 7. This removes the oil mist captured by the filter 7a. The removed oil mist is discharged from the drain outlet 7c of the oil mist separator 7 together with air. The air discharged from the oil mist separator 7 is called purge air.
[0024] The oil mist separator 8 also has a filter 8a, and captures oil mist contained in the compressed air sent out from the compressor 1 by passing the compressed air through the filter 8a. The oil mist separator 8 is provided with a regeneration tank (not shown) for storing regeneration compressed air, and when the pressure of the regeneration tank by the compressed air supplied from the system tank 6 reaches a predetermined value, the exhaust valve 8b of the oil mist separator 8 is opened, and dry compressed air is supplied from the regeneration tank to the oil mist separator 8. This removes the oil mist captured by the filter 8a. The removed oil mist is discharged from the drain outlet 8c of the oil mist separator 8 together with air. The air discharged from the oil mist separator 8 is called purge air.
[0025] In the compressed air drying system, an oil separator 5 is connected to the drain outlet 7c of the oil mist separator 7, the drain outlet 8c of the oil mist separator 8, and the drain outlet 2c of the air dryer 2. The oil separator 5 is connected to the first oil mist separator 7 via a connection hose 7d connected to the drain outlet 7c of the first oil mist separator 7. The oil separator 5 is also connected to the second oil mist separator 8 via a connection hose 8d connected to the drain outlet 8c of the second oil mist separator 8. The oil separator 5 is also connected to the air dryer 2 via a connection hose 2d connected to the drain outlet 2c of the air dryer 2.
[0026] The oil separator 5 separates the compressed air containing oil and moisture into gas and liquid, and discharges the separated clean air from the outlet 5c. The oil separator 5 also stores drain liquid, which is a liquid containing oil and moisture separated from the compressed air, in its housing 5a.
[0027] Next, the oil separator 5 will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. As shown in FIG. 2, the housing 5a of the oil separator 5 includes a cylindrical body 10 and a drain bowl 30 that is a drain reservoir attached to the body 10. A mounting member 70 for mounting to a vehicle to which the body 10 is to be attached is attached to the outer periphery of the body 10. A mounting groove 15 for mounting the mounting member 70 is provided on the outer periphery of the body 10. The mounting member 70 has a mounting portion 71 that is rotatably attached to the body 10 and a fixing portion 76 that is fixed to the vehicle. The mounting portion 71 has an annular portion 72 that is formed in an annular shape and a fastening portion 73 that fastens the annular portion 72 with a bolt 74 and a nut 75. The fixing portion 76 is fixed to the vehicle by a bolt (not shown). Thus, the body 10 can be changed in position by 360° at the mounting portion 71.
[0028] As shown in FIG. 3, the body 10 has three intake ports 16 and one exhaust port 17. The intake ports 16 are provided so as to be openable in three of the four sides of the side wall of the body 10. Here, the "four sides" refers to the directions of each of the 90° ranges obtained by dividing 360° into four. Each intake port 16 may be provided at any position within each range. In this embodiment, two oil mist separators 7, 8 and one air dryer 2 are connected, so that all three intake ports 16 are open. A connection hose 7d connected to the drain outlet 7c of the first oil mist separator 7, a connection hose 8d connected to the drain outlet 8c of the second oil mist separator 8, and a connection hose 2d connected to the drain outlet 2c of the air dryer 2 are connected to each intake port 16. The connection destination of each connection hose 7d, 8d, 2d is selected from the optimal intake ports 16.
[0029] The exhaust port 17 is provided on one of the four sides of the side wall of the body 10 on which the intake port 16 is not provided. The exhaust port 17 is provided with an exhaust opening 5c. 4, one end of the body 10 is closed, and the other end has an opening 11. A female screw 12 is provided on the inner circumferential surface of the body 10 on the opening 11 side.
[0030] Drain bowl 30 is formed in a cylindrical shape. One end of drain bowl 30 has a bottom. The other end of drain bowl 30 has an opening 31. Inside drain bowl 30, a storage section 32 that is a space for storing drain liquid is provided. An external screw 33 is provided on the outer circumferential surface of opening 31 of drain bowl 30. Drain bowl 30 is fixed to body 10 by threading female screw 12 of body 10 into male screw 33 of drain bowl 30. Oil separator 5 is fixed to the vehicle side with body 10 positioned vertically upward and drain bowl 30 positioned vertically downward, and stores drain liquid in drain bowl 30. The stored drain liquid is discarded by removing drain bowl 30 from body 10.
[0031] A filter unit 40 is fixed to the bottom of the body 10. The filter unit 40 includes a filter case 41, a filter 42 housed inside the filter case 41, and a filter lid 43.
[0032] An annular protrusion 13 is provided inside the body 10 at the center in the radial direction of the bottom of the body 10. A female screw 14 is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the annular protrusion 13. The filter case 41 is formed in a cylindrical shape. A ceiling 53 is provided at one end of the filter case 41. An opening 54 is provided at the other end of the filter case 41. An annular protrusion 51 that protrudes outward from the filter case 41 is provided at the center in the radial direction of the ceiling 53. A male screw 52 is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the annular protrusion 51. The filter section 40 is fixed to the body 10 by screwing the female screw 14 of the body 10 into the male screw 52 of the filter case 41.
[0033] A plurality of first air vents 56 are formed in the peripheral wall 55 of the filter case 41. A plurality of rows of the first air vents 56 are formed along the circumferential direction in the peripheral wall 55. A filter outlet 57 is provided in the center of the ceiling 53, in a portion surrounded by the annular protrusion 51. The filter outlet 57 has a plurality of second air vents 58 that communicate between the inside and outside of the filter case 41.
[0034] The filter lid 43 is provided so as to cover the opening of the filter case 41. A plurality of discharge holes 44 are formed in the filter lid 43. The filter 42 is housed in a space formed by the filter case 41 and the filter lid 43. The filter 42 has a large number of pores through which compressed air passes. The filter 42 is made of, for example, a sponge (urethane foam) having a large number of bubbles, a molded metal material such as a metal wire or metal foil having a large number of pores (crushed aluminum), glass fiber, or the like.
[0035] The compressed air that flows into filter 42 from first air vent 56 of filter case 41 collides with filter 42, causing gas-liquid separation. The drain liquid separated by filter 42 flows vertically downward within filter 42 due to gravity, and falls into reservoir 32 via discharge hole 44. The clean air separated by filter 42 is discharged from filter section 40 via second air vent 58 of filter outlet 57.
[0036] Moreover, the intake port 16 of the body 10 is connected to the air dryer 2 via a connection hose 2d (see FIG. 1). The intake port 16 is connected to a first passage 18 extending toward the opening 11 side of the body 10.
[0037] First passage 18 is connected to storage section 32 of drain bowl 30. First passage 18 and storage section 32 of drain bowl 30 function as first expansion chamber 34 in which the compressed air that flows in through intake port 16 expands. As the compressed air expands in first expansion chamber 34, oil and moisture in the compressed air tend to condense.
[0038] The exhaust port 17 of the body 10 discharges the clean air, which has been separated into gas and liquid by the filter unit 40, to the outside. The exhaust port 17 is connected to a second passage 19. The second passage 19 is formed in a substantially L-shape. The second passage 19 functions as a second expansion chamber 23. Note that the space in front of the filter case 41 is the first expansion chamber 34, and the space behind it is the second expansion chamber 23. However, the space inside the filter case 41 also has a function of expanding the air compressed by passing through the first air hole 56, although the expansion effect is lower than that of the first expansion chamber 34 and the second expansion chamber 23.
[0039] Next, assembly of body 10, filter portion 40, and drain bowl 30 will be described with reference to FIGS. First, filter unit 40 is attached to body 10 by screwing male screw 52 of filter unit 40 into female screw 14 of body 10. Next, drain bowl 30 is attached to body 10 by screwing male screw 33 of drain bowl 30 into female screw 12 of body 10.
[0040] When replacing filter 42, drain bowl 30 is removed from body 10, and filter unit 40 is further removed from body 10. Filter lid 43 is then removed from filter case 41, and filter 42 is replaced. Filter unit 40 itself may be replaced.
[0041] Here, the assembly of the body 10 and the drain bowl 30 will be described in detail. 6 and 7, a guide portion 35 extending from the portion of drain bowl 30 where male thread 33 is provided is provided at the tip of the portion where male thread 33 is provided. Therefore, before the tip of male thread 33 of drain bowl 30 comes into contact with the tip of female thread 12 of body 10, guide portion 35 comes into contact with female thread 12 of body 10, thereby guiding drain bowl 30 relative to body 10.
[0042] The outer peripheral corner 35a at the tip of the guide portion 35 is chamfered at an angle θ, which reduces the risk of the guide portion 35 getting caught when it comes into contact with the female screw 12 of the body 10. Additionally, axial length A of guide portion 35 is set to be greater than axial length B of female screw 12 of body 10. For this reason, guide portion 35 comes into contact with the entire female screw 12 of body 10 before the tip of male screw 33 of drain bowl 30 comes into contact with the tip of female screw 12 of body 10. In other words, male screw 33 of drain bowl 30 begins to screw into female screw 12 of body 10 while guide portion 35 is in contact with the entire female screw 12 of body 10, thereby improving the guide function.
[0043] Next, the attachment of the oil separator 5 to the vehicle will be described with reference to Fig. 2. First, the attachment member 70 is attached in a rotatable state to the outer periphery of the body 10 of the oil separator 5. Then, the body 10 is rotated relative to the attachment member 70 to select the position of the exhaust port 17 provided in the body 10 relative to the attachment member 70. This makes it possible to select the position of the exhaust port 17 relative to the vehicle to which the attachment member 70 is fixed. The attachment member 70 attached to the body 10 is fixed to the vehicle by inserting a bolt through the fixing portion 76.
[0044] Next, the connecting hose 7d of the first oil mist separator 7, the connecting hose 8d of the second oil mist separator 8, and the connecting hose 2d of the air dryer 2 are connected to the three intake ports 16 provided on the body 10 of the oil separator 5 fixed to the vehicle at positions selected for easy attachment.
[0045] Next, the operation of the oil separator 5 will be described with reference to FIG. When the exhaust valve 2b of the air dryer 2 is opened to perform unloading operation, drain liquid containing oil and water is sent to the oil separator 5 together with the compressed air. When the exhaust valves 7b, 8b of the oil mist separators 7, 8 are opened, drain liquid containing oil mist is sent to the oil separator 5 together with the compressed air via the respective connecting hoses 7d, 8d, 2d. The drain liquid contained in the compressed air is in the form of mist or liquid. The compressed air containing the drain liquid flows into the oil separator 5 from each intake port 16.
[0046] The compressed air expands by flowing into the first expansion chamber 34 from the three intake ports 16. The pressure of the compressed air expanded in the first expansion chamber 34 is maintained at a value higher than atmospheric pressure. The expanded compressed air flows into the filter section 40 through the first air vent 56 of the filter case 41. The compressed air that flows into the filter section 40 passes through the filter 42 while repeatedly colliding with the wall surfaces of the pores and colliding (friction) with other compressed air within the pores. As a result, the compressed air is separated into drain liquid and clean air from which the drain liquid has been removed. The separated liquid drain liquid falls into the storage section 32. The separated clean air heads toward the filter outlet 57. The clean air is compressed by passing through the second air vent 58 of the filter outlet 57, and then expands in the second expansion chamber 23 (second passage 19). The clean air that has passed through the second passage 19 is discharged to the outside from the exhaust port 17.
[0047] As described above, the oil separator 5 allows the orientation of the exhaust port 17 relative to the vehicle to be selected, and further allows the easy attachment of the connection hoses 7d, 8d, and 2d to one of the three intake ports 16. This makes it possible to easily attach the oil separator 5 regardless of the type of vehicle.
[0048] As described above, according to this embodiment, the following effects can be obtained. (1) Three intake ports 16 are provided on each side wall of the body 10, and an exhaust port 17 is provided in a portion of the side wall of the body where no intake port 16 is provided. Therefore, the connection hoses 7d, 8d, 2d to the oil mist separators 7, 8 and the air dryer 2 can be connected to the intake port 16 at which it is easy to install them depending on the positions of the oil mist separators 7, 8 and the air dryer 2, which differ depending on the type of vehicle. Therefore, the installation work of the oil separator 5 is easy regardless of the type of vehicle.
[0049] (2) The intake ports 16 are provided on three of the four sides of the side wall of the body 10, and the exhaust port 17 is provided on the remaining one of the four sides of the side wall of the body 10. Therefore, the position of the intake port 16 relative to the exhaust port 17 can be selected from three of the four sides of the side wall of the body 10, and the distance between the intake ports 16 can be set large, making the installation work of the oil separator 5 easy.
[0050] (3) Since the body 10 is rotatable at the mounting portion 71 of the mounting member 70, the position of the exhaust port 17 can be selected by rotating the body 10 relative to the mounting member 70, and further, the position of the intake port 16 can be selected from three directions.
[0051] (4) Body 10 and drain bowl 30 are fixed by female screw 12 and male screw 33. Therefore, drain bowl 30 can be easily attached to and detached from body 10 by rotating drain bowl 30 relative to body 10 in the screw direction.
[0052] (5) Since guide portion 35 is provided at the tip of male screw 33, guide portion 35 comes into contact with female screw 12 before the tip of male screw 33 comes into contact with the tip of female screw 12. This makes it easy to align male screw 33 with female screw 12, and therefore makes it easy to attach drain bowl 30 to body 10.
[0053] (6) Axial length A of guide portion 35 is set to be greater than axial length B of female thread 12 of body 10. Therefore, male thread 33 of drain bowl 30 begins to screw into female thread 12 of body 10 while guide portion 35 is in contact with the entire female thread 12 of body 10, thereby improving the guide function.
[0054] The above embodiment can also be modified as follows. In the above embodiment, the outer peripheral corner 35a at the tip of the guide portion 35 is chamfered at an angle θ. However, as shown in FIG. 8, the outer peripheral corner 35a at the tip of the guide portion 35 may be chamfered with a radius R.
[0055] In the above embodiment, the body 10 is provided with the female screw 12 and the drain bowl 30 with the male screw 33, but the body 10 may be provided with the male screw and the drain bowl 30 with the female screw so that the drain bowl 30 is assembled to the outer periphery of the body 10. In this case, a guide portion is provided at the tip of the portion of the body 10 where the male screw is provided.
[0056] In the above embodiment, length A of guide portion 35 of drain bowl 30 was set to be greater than axial length B of female thread 12 of body 10. However, if the presence of guide portion 35 provides a guide function, length A of guide portion 35 may be set to be the same as or less than axial length B of female thread 12 of body 10.
[0057] In the above embodiment, the drain bowl 30 is provided with the guide portion 35. However, if the guide function is not required, the guide portion 35 may be omitted. In the above embodiment, the oil separator 5 is fixed to the vehicle by attaching the mounting member 70 to the body 10, but the body 10 of the oil separator 5 may be fixed directly to the vehicle.
[0058] The drain bowl 30 of the oil separator 5 in the above embodiment may be provided with a drain outlet for discharging the drain liquid stored in the storage portion 32. In the above embodiment, three intake ports 16 are provided on the side wall of the body 10, but four or more intake ports may be provided on three of the four sides. In other words, when providing four or more intake ports, multiple intake ports are provided on any of the four sides. In this way, it becomes possible to connect four or more connection hoses to the oil separator while selecting the optimal intake port position.
[0059] In the above embodiment, the compressed air drying system is provided with two oil mist separators 7, 8 and one air dryer 2, but it may be provided with one oil mist separator and one air dryer 2. In this case, the connection hose of the oil mist separator and the connection hose of the air dryer 2 are connected to the intake ports 16 at the optimum positions of the oil separator 5. Note that, since two of the three intake ports 16 are selected for use, the remaining intake port 16 is blocked by fitting a blocking member (not shown).
[0060] In the above embodiment, the intake ports 16 are provided in the side wall of the body 10 within four 90-degree ranges that divide 360 degrees, but the intervals between the intake ports 16 may be set to any angle.
[0061] In the above embodiment, all of the intake ports 16 are provided on the side wall of the body 10. However, at least one of the intake ports 16 may be provided on the top wall of the body 10. Furthermore, if it is not necessary to remove oil mist upstream of the air dryer 2, a compressed air drying system may be provided with one air dryer 2. In this case, the connection hose of the air dryer 2 is connected to the intake port 16 at the optimum position of the oil separator 5. Note that, since one of the three intake ports 16 is selected for use, the remaining two intake ports 16 are blocked by fitting a blocking member (not shown).
[0062] In the above embodiment, the filter unit 40 may have a configuration other than the filter 42 made of the above-mentioned material, so long as it is capable of separating gas and liquid from the compressed air. For example, the filter unit 40 may have a configuration in which a baffle plate is provided inside the filter case 41, or a configuration in which gas and liquid are separated by colliding the compressed air against the baffle plate.
[0063] In the above embodiment, the oil contained in the air sent out from the compressor 1 is removed by the oil separator 5. However, the oil contained in the gas sent out from a device other than the compressor may be removed by the oil separator.
[0064] In the above embodiment and other embodiments, the oil separator 5 is applied to a compressed air drying system mounted on a vehicle, but it may be applied to other systems as long as the system has a function of separating air (gas) containing oil into gas and liquid. For example, the oil separator may be applied to moving bodies other than vehicles, such as trains, ships, and aircraft. The oil separator may also be applied to a system that is operated using air pressure provided on a body other than a moving body. [Explanation of symbols]
