Abstract

To provide a communication device, communication system, program, and communication method that can support both current generation and next generation communications, while maintaining the configuration of a network that converts optical signals into electrical signals, by also incorporating the configuration of an all-optical network.SOLUTION: An access optical node 1 includes an optical signal processing unit 10 that transmits a received optical signal to a destination node 100.
