The present disclosure provides a method for producing solid tri(C1-C4 alkyl)ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, such as triethylammonium dihydrogen phosphate, in high yield and in a free-flowing particulate form. The solid product advantageously contains less than about 1500 ppm aprotic organic solvent, less than about 1500 ppm C1-C5 alkanol, and less than about 500 ppm water, as determined by Karl Fischer titration.
