Abstract

The present invention relates to the industry of preparing alloys for the manufacture of bathroom accessories by forging, extrusion, and machining. More specifically, it relates to the industry of preparing low-lead brass bars for the manufacture of bathroom accessories by extrusion, forging, and machining. The qualitative composition of the present alloy consists of a brass for extrusion, forging, and machining, with a low lead content, characterized by containing the following metals in its composition: Cu, Pb, Xt, and Zn; where Xt is selected from the group consisting of Al, Sn, Fe, and Ni, or a combination of two, three, or four of these. The quantitative composition would be: (see Table).
