Abstract

Apparatus and method for the automatic handling of hollow cylindrical tools, in particular tools without reduction of wall thickness at the inner edge of the cutting lines, comprising a gripping head having at least two, preferably three, radially extensible gripping fingers forming an angle greater than 90 degrees with each other and designed to be radially movable between a rest position and a gripping position, in order to engage the tools in the rest position and hold them divergently in the gripping position, and wherein each gripping finger has a device for generating a directed repulsive force in the end region.
