Abstract
The present invention discloses a device and non-incinerating method of treating infectious waste using oil as its main treatment medium. This device is equipped with pretreatment using the size reduction method to increase the efficiency of the oil-based treatment and employs post-treatment steps to remove the entrained oil, and scrub volatile compounds in the gas stream. The total treatment time using this device is 5 to 20 minutes.
