Molding device for sisal / glass fiber-based hybrid composite plates

Abstract

The invention relates to a device for preparing sheets of multilayer hybrid composite materials based on glass fiber and sisal fiber. The device allows the preparation of multilayer composite sheets, and even unidirectional hybrid composite sheets, on two mold plates using pressure contact molding. For this purpose, wooden frames were fabricated to hold the unidirectional (UD) fibers.
