Abstract
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a compressible garment line and, more particularly, to a compressible garment of the compressible garment line fixed to a receptacle for easy storing.BACKGROUND
[0002] Presently, reusable garments which provide comfort whether traveling or at home are often too bulky to store. Travelers often find themselves desirous of packing their belongings or supplies into compact spaces in order to carry as much as possible while traveling. Therefore, there is a need to provide a line of garments that permit a traveler to utilize a life size garment while storing the garment in a miniature or micro sized bag.
[0003] Additionally, reusable shopping bags are considered the environmentally friendly alternative to using single-use plastic or paper bags when carrying purchased items away from a retail establishment. Municipalities around the world are banning or putting future bans in place for single-use plastic bags as the trend to reduce single-use plastic pollution continues to grow.
[0004] While being good for the environment, many customers are accustomed to the ease and practicality of having single-use bags dependably made available to them by the retailer they purchase their items from. Customers now find themselves in difficult situations where they (a) have to constantly plan and remember to bring reusable bags with them (b) resort to the inconvenience of carrying around by hand or over the shoulder empty but bulky and large sized reusable tote bags before entering a retail store (c) or have reusable bags stored away in a non-dedicated area in the customer's vehicle or other mode of transportation. This source of frustration becomes even worse when a customer makes an impromptu or unexpected small purchase.
[0005] Currently, the materials with which many common reusable bags are made often include cotton, cardboard, raffia, PET, and different kinds of natural or synthetic fabrics, and all of them are of a relatively fixed in size, which make them difficult to store neatly when not in use and impractical, inconvenient and / or unsightly to carry and have available whenever a customer is out and about. Furthermore, the common reusable bags available on the market do not allow a low-profile, unobtrusive means to transport the reusable bag when not in use.
[0006] Some attempts have been made to create reusable bags that can be folded or somehow reduced in size for the convenience of their transportation. However, the process involves a cumbersome new habit formation of spending time refolding a bag neatly to fit into a portable carrier. Moreover, the size of the portable carrier when stuffed with the reusable bag is still too big to easily fit, for example, inside of a pocket without creating an uncomfortable and visibly noticeable bulge while also leaving little room for other pocket items such as a cellphone, wallet or a set of keys.
[0007] Presently there is no solution for a reusable bag made from ultralight, slippery, thin synthetic material that can also hold heavier items that historically would require a double bag when using single-use plastic bags and allows quick detachment and reattachment to holder's keychain and quick expansion of the bag from the cavity for in-use activity and quick compression and smooth transition of the bag into the cavity when in compact mode, that quickly and easily snaps on to the user's keychain for improved availability and can maintain its utility for years with daily use.
[0008] In the foregoing embodiments presented below, the exemplary embodiments provide solutions to the addressed problems above.SUMMARY

Other embodiments may include other types of hems as long as durability and longevity through daily use are maintained.
[0073] In the exemplary embodiment, a piece of fabric 338 is stitched together on one side with the receptacle 400 positioned on the inside of the reusable bag reservoir 330. This prevents the cavity receptacle 400 from separating from the reusable bag 21 and potentially being lost, forgotten or otherwise inconveniently not in close proximity to compress and stuff the reusable bag 21 into the receptacle 400 when the reusable bag 21 is not in use.
[0074] In the exemplary embodiment, the garment 21′ is another reusable bag. One skilled in the art would understand the applicant's design is not the exclusive embodiment. The garment 21′ includes a main bag 340 and a pair of hand straps 342 which are made of synthetic fabric. The main bag 340 and hand straps 342 are further constructed with a double fold over hem 344 for longevity and added strength. The reusable bag 340 can be constructed with the same materials and methodologies as the previous exemplary embodiment of the reusable bag 21.
[0075] In the exemplary embodiment, the receptacle 400 includes a side wall 402 and a base wall 404. The side wall 402 includes an outer surface 406 and an inner surface 408. The side wall 402 further includes an upper edging 410 leading to an opening of an inner cavity. The upper edging 410 includes a cord 412 permitting the upper edging 408 to expand and retract. One skilled in the art would understand the applicant's design is not the exclusive embodiment. The cord 412 is composed of polyester and measures 3 millimeters in diameter. In other embodiments the cord is made from cotton, elastic, silicone, nylon and rubber. In other embodiments the cord is .5,1,2,4,5,6,7,8 millimeters in diameter. The receptacle 400 includes a size of 3″×2″×1″. The receptacle is a micro-sized receptacle 400. One skilled in the art would understand the applicant's design is not the exclusive embodiment. The receptacle 400 is composed of premium strength diamond ripstop nylon.
[0076] The base wall 404 is coupled to an edge of the side wall 402 and includes an outer surface and an inner surface. The inner surface of the side wall 402 and the inner surface of the base wall 404 formulate an inner cavity. The inner cavity is permitted to expand and retract to provide an enclosure for one of the plurality of garments presented above. The receptacle 400 is fixed to a garment 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20, 21,21′ of the plurality of garments 1.
[0077] In the exemplary embodiment, the receptacle 400 further includes a cord stopper 414. The cord stopper 414 aids the cord 412 in retracting or expanding the upper edging 410. One skilled in the art would understand the applicant's design is not the exclusive embodiment.
[0078] In the exemplary embodiment, the receptacle 400 further includes a clasp 416 coupled to each end of the cord 412. In the exemplary embodiment, the clasp 416 is a twist clap.
[0079] The clasp 416 is a non-magnetic clasp. In other embodiments, the clasp may be a lobster claw, spring ring, barrel, hinged clip or magnetic clasp. One skilled in the art would understand the applicant's design is not the exclusive embodiment.
[0080] In the exemplary embodiment, each individual garment 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20, 21, 21′ of the plurality of garments 1 presented above is coupled or fixed to the receptacle 400 permitting the garment of the plurality of garments to have fluid entry and exit from the inner cavity of the receptacle 400. The receptacle 400 may be bartacked for enhanced strength when coupled to one of the plurality of garments 1. The upper edging 410 and the inner cavity will expand allowing the garment to be housed within the receptacle 400. The upper edging 410 will then retract using the cord 412, preventing entry into the inner cavity and restricting the garment from exiting the receptacle 400.
[0081] In the exemplary embodiment and referring to FIG. 22, a user may connect their key's or key chain to the receptacle 400.
[0082] In the exemplary embodiment, the dimension of the receptacle 400 when stuffed within the garment 21, 21′ for example, is 2 inch×2 inch×0.75 inch or 3 inches cubed. For reference, the dimensions for the car key FOB for a new Nissan Altima, one of America's most popular vehicles, is 4 inch×2 inch×0.8 inch or 6.4 inches cubed. Generally speaking, the average pocket size measures 7.5 inches tall by 6 inches wide. Despite the generous width and height of the average pant pocket, the most important dimension when considering pants pocket portability, practicality and comfort is depth, however, pockets lay flat when not in-use and do not have a specific dimension for depth.
[0083] As such, more illustrative means are necessary when considering pant pocket depth practicality. A 6 inch by 3 inch by 1 inch phone can comfortably fit in the average pant pocket and takes up a volume of 18 inches cubed. However, a widget measuring 2.5 inch by 2.5 inch by 2.5 inch with a volume of only 15.6 inches cubed will show a large, unsightly protrusion in the average pant pocket and create a noticeable and uncomfortable bulge sensation for the user.
[0084] In the other embodiments for example, the receptacle 400 is stuffed with the garment 21, 21′ which can range in width at 1 inch to 4 inch, range in height from 1 inch to 5 inch and range in depth from 0.5 inch to 1.5 inch so long as the reusability, ease of compression and pocket size portability described above are maintained.
[0085] The foregoing illustrates some of the possibilities for practicing the invention. Many other embodiments and fields of use for collection assembly according to the invention are possible and within the scope and spirit of the invention. It is therefore intended that the foregoing description be regarded as illustrative rather than limiting.
[0086] It will be understood that changes in the details, materials, steps and arrangements of parts which have been described and illustrated to explain the nature of the invention will occur to and may be made by those skilled in the art upon a reading of this disclosure within the principles and scope of the invention; however, concepts, as based upon the description, may be employed in other embodiments without departing from the scope of the invention.
